The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in East of England

Had a lovely roast dinner with my partner and elderly mum. Bar staff were very helpful when ordering food and Chrissy our server was very attentive and happy, going above and beyond with customer service. The food was hot and served on hot plates which is very rare these days. To be honest we've never had a bad meal at the Monkfield Arms anyway.

Called in for breakfast this morning good food and service. Went in today just the two of us order breakfast at the bar, collected our drinks and within five minutes food arrived, all hot and fresh so very good for a spoons. Waitress came over to check everything was okay which it was, nothing else to say really good breakfast at a good price in a nice clean and friendly pub.

Popped in with the family for brunch. We were excited to see a P.V. as though they had all closed. Sadly it was a great disappointment. Now the staff were lovely and I cannot fault them but the food was bland and overpriced. We were warned that the hot food may take a little time to come out because it was cooked fresh which was fine with us. But when it came out it seemed anything but fresh. Chips were dry and obviously old. Everything looked dull and limp with no flavour. Bacon was like cardboard. Very disappointed and I can see why most of the branches are no longer open.

Terrible service25/10/24 morning shift ,from Alex and Sofia , they keep changing the words ,and big liars , never trust those guys . When you booking the hotel make sure you need audio or video record , it will help you from cheating

Booked afternoon tea with Santa for grandchildren-lovely welcome-boys enjoyed food and drinks.Santa gave age appropriate presents.Thanks to team at Highway Nursery.Would recommend.

Moored up for the night and wandered in for a beer and a meal. Everything first rate, service, choice, quality & price. Not my first visit here and certainly won’t be my last.

We didn’t really eat here, apart from a tasty but small bowl of chips. The atmosphere is great, plenty of space, plenty of places to sit. Lots and lots of tv screens with all sport showing. Staff are very accommodating, turning tv stations over for guests to watch different matches. Floor service available and drinks/ food can be brought to your table. Giant screen which is brilliant to watch!

Our 3rd consecutive visit here. The food is freshly prepared, fish and seafood dishes are the best we've experienced. The tiramisu is to die for! Service was excellent, chef even prepared dish without garlic for my mum - quite difficult when eating Italian!

A lovely and very well decorated restaurant with very poor customer service. All the standard duties of a restaurant just missed. Drinks were not offered through out our meal, no one around to ask for more drinks or to take our dishes when finished. Food was very average for the price. When we finally got someone’s attention and asked for dessert we thought we had been forgotten as the waiting time was far too long, they informed us that our ticket did not go through to the kitchen and gave us extra scoops of ice cream. Very unfortunate that a lack of customer service has let down a very beautiful setting.

The thought of fresh fish and chips at the cafe kept us motivated on a bright coastal walk from the town centre - something our family has doing for over 30 years. The locally caught cod was delicious and the staff really friendly and efficient. A lovely start to the New Year.

Since ownership change it’s gone down hill. Won’t be going again. Food not as good as it was & it’s lost its class. Ordered a smoked salmon pain I as bagels had finished & got a cheap hot dog roll which wasn’t even toasted to be a panini. Panini rolls are different but was told that’s what they use. I sent it back for something else. Attitude not good from guy who preps food & no apology

Eggs were sent back as not soft but completely undercooked. I explained I liked them medium and they cooked them again and one was fine but the other one was undercooked again. I explained that I was in a rush and did not want them cooked a 3rd time. They said the eggs were poached soft, I explained I did not request this. They still insisted on charging me full price for a half eaten undercooked breakfast. Moles used to be so nice I will not be returning.

Ordered three meals; breakfast, curry and steak. I appreciate they all have different cooking times, but are all served at the same time. I guess the breakfast and curry were dished up on a cold plate ten minutes before the steak was ready. It's not a good sign when the waitress serves your food with bare-hands. A decent chef should serve hot food on a hot plate. The breakfast, curry and chips with the steak were all cold - as were the plates. Not worth complaining as Wetherspoons food is normally lukewarm at best. The Christmas beers went down better than the food!
