Ok for drinking but not great for food.

The best fresh bread selection in Norfolk, and possibly the best cakes too. Shabby chic ambience, nice coffee.

Went there at 2.15 pm as always done for years even with previous owners . One staff member sitting around while other serving , asked for 2 toasted cheese sandwich, we got from the staff sitting abruptly NOT SERVING HOT FOOD , so had to lump 2 hard stale cakes instead and when I say stale I mean stale , I went to ask for sugar for tea, it was like I was asking for gold. This place has gone so badly down hill , we won't be returning they used to do such beautiful fresh cakes and staff were so friendly. And to say no to making a cheese toasties you seriously don't want customers do u If it carries on like this it will lose completely.

Stopped off looking for food but unfortunately the kitchen is closed for refurbishment. Atmosphere was still good and locals helpful.

Attended a family birthday party here recently and the pub was cosy with a lovely fire and nice ambiance. Staff were friendly. We were in the room beyond the bar for the party meal. All was good until the meals were served and there were lots of people that finished their meals before my partner and I even got ours, and when we did, the food was really, really salty, I could not eat my dinner at all! I am not one to complain re meals but I need to advise that chefs/cooks need to taste food before it if served, and please, please do not add so much salt into the dishes. People can add salt to their taste but cannot take it out if it is already in! I realise catering for a large party is challenging, but, that is the industry and needs to be managed.

Hello, I had a day out on the Buses from Cromer to Fakenham via Norwich. And I had an hour and a half to spend in Fakenham. So I popped into Costa Coffee and had a iced latte and cake. As it was a beautiful day. Lovely quiet location on Bridge Street. Perfect opportunity to chill out before catching the bus home via Sheringham.

We stayed here for one night whilst walking the Peddars way. A welcoming pub with good food - huge portions! Our room was nice enough, clean comfortable and spacious. The only thing we weren’t sure about was the breakfast arrangement. They offer breakfast in your room which was cereal, yoghurt and toast - there was a toaster in the room with signs up to warn you not to burn your toast otherwise it would set off the fire alarms for all other rooms! With that hanging over us we were only brave enough to lightly warm our bread! There was an option to pay extra for a cooked breakfast but we didn’t take this. That said we would stay again!

Staff served me promptly know my drink very efficient engaged in Chat and welcoming.

Gem of a place. Nicely located on the seafront. Easy access to beach. Good food, reasonable prices. Lovely ice creams and lovely staff too (great customer service, thank you)

Very poor - 8 people, overcooked burgers, uncooked scampi that my partner was unhappy at eating, poor battered fish and the meanest portions of chips ever ! Something wrong here. Avoid.

Six of us went to celebrate Mother's Day. The drinks came relatively quickly. The food however took ages. It was not necessarily the waitresses fault to be fair. They were helpful and perhaps at times frustrated themselves. The food took ages to come out of the kitchen. The staffed mushroom as a starter was OK but took a while to be served. The mains took forever. Two of us ordered an apple crumble with ice-cream instead of custard and were served with custard no ice-cream. No money taken off the bill despite a long wait. We sat at 12:30 and left a little fed up at 15:30. Menu was quite uninspiring too. Given the local competition, I would suggest they up their game if they do not want to be left behind. All in all, it was a rather disappointing lunch.

Came here for some drinks with friends and would definitely recommend. The staff are so polite and the place has a lovely relaxing atmosphere. They also have live music certain nights

Paramos aquí durante nuestra caminata en Nene Park, ya habíamos llamado al otro café, así que esperaba que esto fuera la misma configuración. La ubicación de este era más agradable, con vistas a los lagos y en un edificio más bonito construido con fines, pero el servicio era impactante. Había 3 personas sirviendo, la cola era mínima, pero se mezclaron los pedidos y algunos tuvieron que esperar más que otros por edades de sus bebidas. No me importaría, pero también se acercaba el final del día, así que muchos menos clientes.

Turned up for an event and when the pub opened at just after 12 went to the toilet to and no toilet paper in place. Surely this would be checked before.opening when you expecting over 100 people. No coffee available. No chef so food orders could not be taken and half a coke £4. This used to be a great pub a few years ago sadly not any more
