Staff served me promptly know my drink very efficient engaged in Chat and welcoming.

This pub plays outrageously loud music on weekends that can be heard through the entire neighborhood. We are just trying to relax as a family in our own home and unfortunately can't do so because the music is too loud, and we're not even close to the place. I think this says a lot about the management running the pub.

We haven’t visited this pub for years and were pleasantly surprised when we recently popped in for a beer. We were warmly greeted by Josh and his team and had a relaxed hour there recently We’re probably going to try their Sunday lunch as people are saying that it’s very good value for money! I’ll let you know!

I have not been in this place for years, we thought we would pop in and have a look, Dj was just setting up and the place started to fill after 10pm, the venue was extremely well run, security where friendly and when we got in the bar staff where accommodating and well rehearsed, we literally got served as soon as we walked up to the bar, a lot of venues don’t offer this quality of service. When the Dj set up, he was very good and played some old skool classics, the crowd are so friendly and are all ages, well done to all the staff, and the Dj he was sound. Great venue hope to return again one day, don’t get out much these days, but you appreciate a quality night like our experience in The Crown.

Id like to thank Charlotte for taking care of my phone, as I'd lost it the previous night in the pub, and being able to track me down so I could collect it, outstanding service, not even part of her job role. Always enjoyed the Crown but will definitely be recommending it more! She's an Absolute credit to you.

This place stands out from the rest because they take great care of every single strand of hair. They pay close attention to every little detail, like shaping and tapering, which makes their hairstyles perfect. The staff makes sure that no hair is out of place, so you end up with a flawless look. They did an amazing job on my sideburns and beard, and it made me feel like a brand new person. Not only did they focus on the main things, but they also went the extra mile by tidying up my eyebrows and any stray hairs. Their work is so precise and careful that they are truly better than the competition. In the end, it's their attention to detail that makes them stand out.

I've been a customer for many years. Josh and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. They cater for all tastes, whether drink, the sports being shown or if you fancy a good night out with some friends. Their food is decent as well

Always have the best time in the crown. It is my local pub and do not have a bad word to say about it. All the staff are lovely and the atmosphere is always amazing. Will always end up in here on a night out as is the best way to end the night.

Most pretentious place I've ever been in with people trying to out dress each other in designer clothes. As a pub, pretty decent.

Absolutely a great pub to chill! Food and drinks selection are good, atmosphere was very vibration and thrilling. Seating with a drink and enjoying the soccer on that big TV here is a awesome feeling. I had lovely evening here and would love to come back.

decent enough pub but security at the door is incredibly intrusive... like going through an Israeli airport. guy opened up my kindle and inspected like, what for? do you think I have a gun or a knife smuggled inside my fecking E-book?

It was that good that we sacked off the last train back to north Essex and stayed to gone half 12 and got an Uber back. Music was banging, staff polite, drinks good. Recommend.

We went here as a family on Easter Sunday to celebrate my sisters birthday, the pub is quite small with a small dining area. We were greeted by a really friendly waitress who seated us and gave us menus. We ordered our food which came pretty quickly, it was absolutely delicious and such good value, I can't fault it at all, the service was impeccable and the drinks were good. I'd highly recommend the Sunday lunch here!

Always a good night out in the crown. It’s my go to now as it’s the best place to go in Billericay. Great drinks selection with decent music. Slightly dearer than other pubs however it’s worth it for a decent night out, especially when finishing the week off. Shoutout the security also - Mo and Darren. Hospitable and great guys. Helped look after my friend when in need and always great to us. Give them a raise!

What a wonderful way to celebrate England in the Euros! This pub has honestly gone above and beyond to make such an amazing atmosphere despite all that is currently going on. All government guidelines are being kept to so well and in no way did this affect our time here. Lovely, friendly staff who were all more than happy to help with anything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will be back as soon as we can!

Visited this week for the football with a friend and have to say it was a fantastic atmosphere. The staff work led tirelessly to take orders and the service was rapid! The DJ in the marquee is also a great added bonus and really adds to the whole experience. I wouldn't want to watch the football anywhere else! Great work The Crown!

Us girls go weekly to the crown and have been for the last 3 years and we couldn’t enjoy it more. The staff and bouncers are so polite and helpful! Dj in there on Fridays and Saturdays!

Cant tell you how disappointed our night out at the crown pub Billericay. We was greeted by a very rude door man. We was made to empty our pockets and was then patted down and searched. I am over 60 years old and my wife is 65.We had to pay a deposit of £10.00 each on a promise we would receive a drink. My wife and i do not drink stela larger, yes stela a. When i told them is a disgrace a got a mouth full from the door . This pub really will have a problem when the pandemic is over they are exploiting the customers. I have lived in Billericay for over 30 years and believe me people from Billericay will shun this pub.I could not believe the what I saw a door man do in the toilet, I'm really not surprised they have a drug problem.I would stay as far away from this place as possible...

We went to the crown pub in Billericay.We was disappointed that it seems normal that people are openly snorting drugs . The door staff are complete bully’s to . We could not notice one in particular was picking on a poor gentleman. They was pushing and getting very aggressive towards the gentleman.Stay away would be my advice

Visited yesterday to watch the football with some friends. We sat in the marquee area, so many screens I didn’t know which one to watch! Fantastic atmosphere, great app and drinks served quickly and by very friendly staff. The DJ was a very nice touch to go along with the football. Booked for England’s next match wouldn’t want to watch it any where else… well done all @the crown.

Good pub, great beer with friendly staff.

Absolute shambles, 6 separate calls to book a table & then arrive to find we’re not even on the list, after complaining they eventually found us a table in front of the TV informing us it was fine for the whole night.. only to turf us off with 10 minutes left of the football.They also have the cheek charge a £5 deposit per person on the promise of a welcome drink which is just some small glass of cocktail they probably knocked up for 20p.We need to support local businesses after a difficult year but that doesn’t mean rinsing them.

Ordered drinks and was waiting 40 minutes, when questioned the waitress was greeted and spoken to in an incredibly rude manner. Appreciate the app crashed, things like that cannot be helped but there was no effort by any of the staff to make up for this and they actually refused orders as our “glasses were still half full”. Also when walking through to the toilet I couldn’t believe my eyes, 1 member of staff pouring drinks behind the bar and about 7-8 waitresses stood there on their phones whilst half the beer garden was waiting on drinks. HUGE let down

This pub has gone all out to ensure to ensure they meet government guidelines yet still have a good atmosphere for its customers. The staff was very friendly and despite how busy it was we did not have to wait long for drinks.

Never judge a book by its cover. Welcomed and signed in by the bouncer, who was such a gentleman!Signed us in, assigned us a table and sat us down (even pulling out my chair for me) and explained everything to us as it was first time there since lockdown.Couldn't get the App to work unfortunately so they sent someone to our table and did table service for us.Great service Crown. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Would go to any other pub in the whole of England over this one.

The Crown is a great pub, they have been absolutely fantastic with the Coronavirus pandemic, their staff have been wearing masks/face coverings throughout, they are sanitising constantly, their friendly staff could not do more for you.

Despite the COVID 19 restrictions in place, staff were accommodating and friendly, couldn’t do enough for us and made sure we always had a drink while adhering to the rules. Great atmosphere and the beer garden is a great setting as well. Perfect for a night out with friends.

Nice pub however think the ‘ security personnel ‘ need some training ...rude ...sullen faced & bring the ambiance down ...& need to learn what good customer service is ...nice beer ..bar staff helpful & polite

Great place for our business lunch

Well this is the first pub I've ever visited in 47 years that doesn't have ANY scotch whisky on sale. Perhaps understandable in some foreign locations but surely inexcusable here.

Has more than enough bar staff to satiate my alcohol dependency. Great vibes too.

So I went to this pub the watch the football, admittedly a very dead game from the off as it was West Ham. But nether the less I thought I’d give it a go as my friends wanted to go. I walked in to what can be only described as a place as busy as Maddie McCann bedroom. On the plus side I did manage to get a great seat on a sofa, which I had all to myself. The game was fairly enjoyable, all be it as it was a caraboa cup game. I decided to get some food, a southern fried chicken burger to be exact. The burger was okay, tasted frozen, probably a birds eye ting. The chips were also okay, they were made peng by the bbq sauce, I rate the bbq sauce. Corn on the cob was nice, but to be fair you gotta be real bad to duck up corn on the cob. Then there was the coleslaw which i wouldn’t eat regardless of where I was. I could be at dinner with the queen which was hand made by the women herself and I still wouldn’t touch that nonce blend of veg and mayo. All in all a decent trip. I had a couple drinks so was tipsy so had a good time regardless. I’m also a bit rustled as I write this review.Much love,Dad.Xoxoxo

Great Bar Staff quick to serve us. Landlord of the pub takes time to meet you and even brought us a Gin & Tonic. Told us about the history of the pub and I have to say I will be back. Top pub. We need more landlords like this only wish I got to come out more :)

Visited this pub as the flowers outside are beautiful. Every year this pub does somthing outside to amaz people. The lights at Christmas time that was a welcome to billericay when you got off the train or even driving into Billericay. Now Flowers for the summer months I just can’t belive the effort this landlord puts into making a great pub. Well your smashing it you really are. It’s enjoyable to think what’s next. Plus Tim Taylor Lanlord served to perfection I can’t praise enough. I will be back !!!!!!

Very quiet when I was there. Only used the bar not the resturant. Friendly staff, food average pub quality (not bad/not great), not too big a choice of real ales though. I'd visit again.

Stopped for an early evening pint while waiting to collect a takeaway. A good sports bar with plenty of staff behind the bar giving a quick and efficient service.

Decent place. No complaints at all. Lots of TVs for football and have sky and BT. Good value beer, would recommend

Dreadful service!! One bar staff said they were serving food, decided what we wanted and then at the bar someone else said they weren't serving food but only after we bought drinks. Never coming back!!

It is an all round nice pub with a large beer garden on multiple levels.

Went for the football and it was a good atmosphere without thinking it could kick off at any minute, but did they put the prices up for the game £5 a pint? Bit cheeky.

pub was ok looks nice from outside, the beer was expensive and the bar staff really struggled pouring it, the worse bit was the gents, I would of liked to have made full use of the facilities but the toilet seat was covered in urine as was the floor of the cubicle and they stunk in there, I know its a toilet but still but this was above and beyond

Best selection of Gin and friendly environment. Good to view sports and will allways acomadate eveyones sports choice. Good managment and friendly staff. Enjoy a Gin in the nice garden before the english weather takes to storm.

Expensive and a bit rowdy but nice decor not a family pub

Turn the volume of the telly down! It was so loud and broadcast from speakers everywhere so impossible to escape. Also, no paper in the ladies.

A couple of business colleagues and I were visiting the area and popped in for an impromptu lunch. Initially a little worried as the place was literally empty but we had all missed breakfast and were Hank Marvin. We all had the burgers, various sweets, couple of pints and coffee. Food, presentation, service and value for money was exceptional, no idea why the place wasn’t rammed on a Friday lunchtime. Will definitely be going back, would highly recommend you give this place a try.

Great pub, with great staff and landlord

Went in for the 1st time on Saturday when Arsenal played Tottenham and certainly won't be the last. Although the pub was rammed service was quick and friendly. The two boys working behind the bar were non stop the whole time we was in there, which ended up being about 7o'clock because of the great selection of sports on TV. Will deffinatly be back soon and reccomending to friends.

We haven't been to this pub in quite awhile and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. We only called in for a lunchtime drink and didn't try the food. The staff were delightful and made us feel welcome! We will return.

Great friendly atmosphere ! On a day when Arsenal were playing the staff went above and beyond to work some magic so that 2 West country imports could watch the Rugby in our own section of the pub! Got the best of both as we can also watch the footy out of one eye!

Recent new management have really sorted this pub out, a great place for some food and a drink. Lovely floral displays around the bar really brighten the mood. The bar staff are extremely friendly especially the young man Harry. Would recommend this pub to anyone.

I came to The Crown with my husband to watch the 1st football game of the season, Leicester v Arsenal. We parked in the Customer Car Park. We ordered a meal and drinks. Service was very slow. An hour later we received a meal, 2 mixed grills. The steaks, and the gammon had been cut in half and shared between our 2 plates. I have never seen this before in my life. The steak didn't taste like sirloin or rump, i am unsure what meat it actually was, it tasted like rubber! The frozen peas were not cooked properly. The pineapple slices were out of stock so we had no other option than to order eggs instead which came half cooked, i like my fried eggs runny but these were like water. The jacket potatoe i had ordered instead of chips arrived half an hour later. It was the worse meal ever but we ate half as we were so hungry having not eaten all day and waiting so long for the meal to arrive. When i complained i was told by the Chef that he had weighed the amount of uneaten food left on our plates and it totalled an amount of grammes which according to him, meant the food couldn't have been that bad! he then asked if I had ever had a mixed grill before?! I couldn't believe what i was hearing. No refund offered for a £30 meal. No free drink. Just very rude. The bar staff were very young and seemed to be in training, the waitresses/bar staff tried to be helpful but said there was no manager on the premises and I had to deal with the chef so at that point we decided to leave as there was obvious no one interested in taking my complaint seriously. I regret that i didn't take photos of the disgusting food.To top it off, today I received a parking ticket (PCN) for parking in their customer car park which I am appealing. This is the 1st time I have ever written a review but feel the need to warn other people of the experience myself and my husband have had. I will never go back to this place.

Mid-sized local pub. Bright, airy, reasonable drink selection.

Since the pub has be completely refurbished this place is definitely worth a visit.

This pub looks good from the outside but that's about all its got going for it. Poor service. stood at the bar for 4 minutes while barman serving a small group and another member of staff doing nothing. No sorry for keeping you waiting. No thank you after being served. Just felt like we where in the way.

We went in here for a drink on Monday. We ordered a tea and a coffee and we found the barman to be very friendly. However, there was a small number of people at the other end of the bar who we were talking and laughing very loudly and it was quite uncomfortable. One person mocked us for ordering tea (he said he was joking), and then when we were leaving he shouted 'happy new year' at us. We felt really uncomfortable the whole time and won't be going back.

All staff are very kind and friendly..

Sorry to say that this well refurbished, very convenient eatery fell well below standard. No atmosphere, one other customer flopping over the bar, obviously visiting her friend, the barmaid. Food arrived after quite a wait. Nothing outstanding except the rump steak was decidedly off. Only apology came when paying the bill, when it was removed from bill. No offer of more drinks, no checking if all was well.

A friend of ours booked the free function room for a night I won't forget .
