Costa Coffee in Basildon

This costa must have the friendliest and welcoming staff of all the costas. They are always happy to help with a smile and are very knowledgeable on the costa range. A large store which is normally pretty busy. Its just off the A127 but a bit hidden. Lots of parking in the retail park.

This Costa Coffee has been my regular spot for a while now, and the customer service never disappoints. The staff are always friendly and greet me with a smile as soon as I walk in. They take the time to remember my usual order and even check in to make sure everything is just right. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and even when it's busy, they handle everything with efficiency and a great attitude. It's clear they care about their customers, which keeps me coming back. Highly recommend this location for both great coffee and top-notch service!

Lovely hot chocolate with a slice of cake, just a little over priced in my opinion.

Best coffee and service in Basildon

As Costa outlets go this one is very hit and miss. Limited choice at the retail park so not many options.

Not a cosy costa, lots of better ones close by if you want to work or chill with a book. Heavy traffic but tye staff manage it well and service is fast. I had a little baby with me and they brought my order to my table which was very kind.

Always receive brilliant service from this costa. Really friendly staff who go above and beyond.

Food offerings don't appeal to me, service slow, m'donalds faster and damn site cheaper coffee overpriced

It's ok very crowded very small space not an ideal place to have coffee car parking is ok and the price is quite expensive for what it is

Really shabby. A £5 wrap heated up hot pn the outside cold in the middle. The usual waits. Really not good at the price. My advice get a better sandwich, a nice coffee and cheery staff at Greggs for a fraction of the price.

I'm disappointed, even though I love cube coffee and they have the best ones, they really overdo it with air conditioning and cold air. there is no heat outside and in my opinion the air conditioning is set too high and it is really very cold inside you can't work it is cold and not very comfortable even though the coffee is really delicious I was very disappointed today

Went to Costa @Pipps Hill Basildon this morning, with my to boys aged 5 & 6.5. Just needed some chill time. We were greeted by the Barista Ben, he was very helpful and friendly, he saw i was getting stressed with the boys. Thankyou for you kindness today. Will be returning again :) thankyou xxxx

It looks like there are two entrances into Costa but the door facing the car park isn't used. Please Costa put a clear sign on the door to redirect your customers.

Excellent coffee just very slow

Fantastic service always. Clean and tidy at all times I visit. Coffee good as usual, and girl in short hair it's an apsolute gem.

No queue at 0830 which was a nice surprise. Very friendly and helpful barista, good quality latte and I loved the porridge - particularly as it was served in a china bowl and not just left in the pot. Plenty of free parking available.

We normally go in when working locally around 7 in the morning the coffee can be a bit hit and miss from being to milky not enough coffee to being scolding hot hopefully it gets better as the day goes on lol

Service and staff are really good. The customers in there are a bit on a loud side if you’re looking to do work!

I like this Costa. Comfy seating, friendly staff, and plenty of daylight....yes, I know it looks out on the carpark!...but better than blank walls. A feeling of space.

Atmosphere sadly ruined by squealing toddlers running around. I would go again, but check who's in there first. Just wanted a quiet coffee and chat, but couldn't hear what my husband was saying....

The Indian man always struggle to remember what I am ordering. Asked about the toilets do they locked or someone inside as very long time engaged , maybe person unwell. He laughed at me . I knocked on the door to be sure everything ok to person , maybe need help , but have been insulted . Even outside Costa I have been insulted by the same man and even his friend. Can't believe how arrogant men are . Disgusting behaviour.

It was very busy with a long line, which is not usually with other Costa shops. I waiting in the queue for 15 minutes, but we hadn't moved and gave up. They may have had staff shortages but I could see 3 people serving and making drinks so cant really explain why today seemed so much slower. Shame really as I do like like this branch for convenience

The coffee nice, the staff work really hard but this Costa is NOISY. Probably the noisiest coffee shop we have ever been in and that means it's not a pleasant relaxing experience when it's busy. All the surfaces are hard and so sound just bounces around, that means if it's busy people have to speak louder and louder just to hear each other over the noise of the coffee machine or other people. When you are paying £4 for a coffee you should at least get a nice , comfortable, relaxing environment.

Terrible service, wrong milk used didn't change it over and basically called us liars. Definitely not worth the money. BP do a much cheaper coffee and it tastes bloody good

Was ordering coffee from there for myself and staff for lunch time for months until today, found life threatening issue at the bottom of my cup when was finishing my drink, large peace of broken glass !!!!! DISGUSTING!!!! NEVER AGAIN.

There was a fire alarm fault with a constant tone throughout our visit , this was quite of putting so we decided to leave even before finishing beverages . Parking fee up to four hours

Costa has and always will be my go to place for my coffee and hot drink needs I will honestly say that the overall food options are decent but too highly priced for my preference The hot drink are always beyond YUM YUM and always please Staff are always super friendly and mega efficient, despite them being so heavily worked and kept busy, they do keep their composure and we all thank you for that.

Looks like these staff are too keen to leave before their shift ends. Really poor attitude. When I work I work until my shift ends.just looked like he couldn’t be bothered I’ve never known anything like it.if anything it’s quicker to make a cold drink.

Plenty of tables. Big queue to get coffee after ordering. Coffee was a bit weak for some reason.

Set in pretty uninspiring location but inside ok with friendly staff.

Exactly what you would expect from a coffee chain. The only small gripe is that I had to clean and clear my own table. During the time that we had our coffee and toastie not one memeber of staff cleaned any tables. I did see other customers cleaning their own tables. Lack of staff seems to be the problem across all hospitality services at the moment.

Had a lovely cappuccino coffee and lemon muffin while waiting for my puppy to be groomed at the Pet Grooming Salon.

Staff are really rude would never use this branch again service was terrible a shock for Costa I ended up takeaway as couldn't sit in there

I personally don't drink there because they don't do mugs and I can't pick the cups up with short fat. If you ask for tea in a mug I give you a glass vase. Good Tea comes in bone China with cup and saucer and builders.tea comes in mug . I often just walk outside when Mrs Seymour has a coffee

Its like they hate corporate rules, hate customers bothering them & have 2 overworked excellent staff to try to make up for it. I saw them turn away a disabled customer 20 mins before closing. They really should do better. Anyone can walk in off the street and use their customer only toilets, making this branch a target for bad behaviour and made me feel unsafe...

Coffee just gone from.bad to undrinkable. The petrol station machines produce better coffee than people who work at this shop. Get some decent staff please. Coffe is.rubish!!

Recently I generally found Costa Coffee to be a bit of a hit and miss with their coffees. For example, a chai latte would sometimes taste flavourless and when its re made it does not taste the same. Not sure if costa coffee are loosing their touch a bit.

Very disappointing. Service was slow and the quality of the hot chocolate was poor.

You don’t go anywhere fast at this place. Even when it’s not so busy I’ve waited 15 minutes - and that’s with only two people ahead of me! When it is busy - forget it, you’ll wait around 30 odd minutes. The staff, as friendly as they are, seem to faff around a lot and there appears to be a lack of communication or organisation between them. Not one of the better Costa’s I’ve been to!

The people making coffee and hot chocolate here don't make it very well, and not on a one off occasion either. They were so watery and not enough chocolate. The staff need better training.

Would like to appreciate the service of the politely stuff. Especially the smile of Mason makes my day every time. Thank you guys to keep the happiness priority 😊

One of the few costa coffees left in Basildon. Great service, good atmosphere and tasty coffee. Conveniently placed in the Pipps Hill car park to grab a refreshment during your shopping trip. Inside and outside seating. Toilets. Charging points. Lots of seating space. Worth a stop.

Nice staff, drinks hot and reasonable price. You even get a cake free when it's your birthday. The only issue can be if it's busy the queuing ends up out the door , which isn't great when it's raining. A little tweak would make a difference. In nice weather there is outside seating so a bonus.

Rude staff and food hygiene should be reassessed by environmental agency. Currently there is a leak, which can't always be helped, but they're allowing the leak to drip all over the food. That water could be coming from anywhere - instead of closing the food bit or moving it they've just left it there and when you ask them about it they're so rude. Won't be returning anymore, customer service has put me off.

Toilets filthy tables sticky. Furniture looks rather shabby chairs ripped. My porridge wasn't hot. Iced latte not worth the money Starbucks one is much better. Toasted sandwich was lovely. Won't be rushing back.

Not a good experience today, made to wait a ridiculous amount of time for 4 toasties, ordered as takeaway, found they had given me the wrong order once I got home, coffee was practically cold due to the length of time I waited, staff didn't even offer me a bag to put the food in, I had to ask. They also messed up the order of the people behind me. It wasn't even that busy. Useless.

Had a bit of a wait, but my cappuccino was excellent.

Typical Costa. What was annoying was 2 female customers sitting at the same inside table for over an hour with the same empty cups, while others had to sit outside in the cold, selfish.

I went there on 11/05/21 at 17:50. Store was closing at 18:00. After having me wait outside for 5 minutes a rude staff member came out saying we re not taking any more orders. If store is closing at 18:00 I would expect last order to come in at 18:00? Otherwise google must review the closing times. Very disappointed.
