Visited today for coffee and lunch with my husband and dog. We were shown to a table in the side room which is dog friendly and it was fine, if compact. We had a toasted sandwich and a normal sandwich. The bread was fresh, plenty of cheese filling but would have liked more ham too. Nice side salad to accompany the plates. However no salt or pepper on any of the tables and no-one asked if we wanted anything or how our meals were. Coffees were fine. What I don't understand is why a family of 4 without a dog were showed into the same area rather than the other side of the cafe, so it did get very claustrophobic.

Waited 25 minutes for two light breakfasts. They arrived on plates swimming with grease, the mushrooms were cold and much of the rest luke warm at best. The staff seemed to loiter about with no sense of urgency and some staff training would'nt come amiss. The whole set up for ordering and serving hot food badly needs reviewing. A very poor Chatsworth experience not to be repeated.

Two Cappucioms … £7.60. Seriously? Long queues. Slow service. Anodyne atmosphere. Awful. Never again. No small wonder why their shares are tanking.

Myself and my daughter stopped for a meal before shopping. What a refreshing young man Jake is, so polite and friendly. Food was good too. Then went and got our groceries, Angle is great, so helpful on the tills. Leah on the cigarette counter is like a breath of fresh air. I hope management realise how professional and hard working you all are . Thank you

The actual look of the coffee shop is really nice but I can’t get over the filthy tables. There were 8 or 9 empty tables which had not been cleaned. Even when someone did take the cups off the table there was not a cloth in sight to actually clean the table. There were 5 staff behind the counter and it wasn’t just so there’s no excuse. Probably more staff somewhere else.

This is a great setting for a cafe . What a shame it is being run as a ' greasy spoon ' establishment . The overall impression when entering was of expensive drinks ( £5.40 for two teas ) , grubby menus and a display of unappetising stale cake . But the worst thing was the overwhelming smell of old frying , even though all the doors were open . We bought takeaway teas from the kiosk in the car park ( £3.00 ) , and sat by the river instead . Great . And I didn't have to wash all our clothes when we arrived home to get rid of the smell ! It is a shame for the young staff being employed here . They need better management and training .

The toasted sandwiches are mediocre as are the coffees. The café itself feels grubby including the tables but the biggest shock was the one toilet that they have. See photos! What worries me is that if the toilets for the public look like this and the staff are happy with that, what the hell does the kitchen look like behind closed doors?

Always enjoy my coffee in here, but one niggle is that they don't have white toast only seeded. Have been to various Costa and they always have white bread. A bit odd.
