Frankie and Benny's in North West Leicestershire

Dreadful food and dirty restaurant, 2 years on the trot. Food tastes pre cooked and reheated, coffee was luke warm and not a full cup, coupled with serious hygiene and cleanliness issues if you look under the table and chairs. Never again.

Two of us opted for the all day breakfast my goodness what a rip off this place is. Credit where due the sausage were very good hence a star but that is where the good news ends. The fried eggs looked good but were not cooked through, a spoon of beans and a child’s hand sized portion of chips. The bacon was leather effect and the mushrooms were not flat as advertised I think they were tinned and the £16,50 😡 effort did not come with toast a bit of an industry standard. The server who was very nice by the way said we could get some I was going to order a round each until he said it’s £3,30 so we shared one. £3.30 for TWO SLICES OF TOAST. I hate being ripped off it sees the norm in all airports but this is another level we won’t be going back.

Came for breakfast prior to our flight to Berlin. Ordered the breakfast stacker which was incredible but hugely filling. Rafal served us and he was so friendly and attentive. Would definitely come again!

Not sure where to start … Burger - to cook burger is one of the easiest dish to so mine was so dry that felt like on hangover . We also ordered 2 x ribs - I had ribs before in Frenkies and bennies rhia was microwave ribs honestly my daughter didnt eat at all . I wish I went to Burger king … On a good note beer was really good.

We went for a meal and were served by Rafal on 1 March. Without going into details, we didn’t have the best experience, however Rafal dealt with it amazingly. It’s not about the mistakes made but how they were put right and this young person was a credit to the company. Thank you Rafal and keep doing good work!

Waited to be seated for a long time. So i seated myself. No menu anywhere so had to ask for it. No service so ordered at the bar. The guy at the bar was very nice. Got my pizza quickly but then had to go myself to find cutlery. Some hair in my pizza so I left it and left.

Very quick to be seated by a lady on front desk. Not too busy at this point. As soon as we sat down a dopey young girl asked if we were ready to order!! Give us a minute love!! Then came back to order food.Took forever for 2 drinks, hubby ended up going to get them from bar, along with a long line of drinks waiting to go out. Food arrived, not worth the price at all. Then no one to ask to pay for bill, could have just walked out. Asked the young girl on front desk, who said I could pay at the bar. I told her it was awful service to which she agreed. Come on F&B, pull your socks up for goodness sake. You charge enough!!! 16/03/24

Frankie and Benny's provided a delightful family meal experience! From the warm atmosphere to the diverse menu, there was something for everyone. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff catering to our needs. The portions were generous, and the food was delicious, especially the classic Italian dishes. Overall, it was a fantastic dining outing for the whole family!

Lynn and Macauly made it an enjoyable experience as the service was attentive and second to none.

Service was good. Staff were nice. The food in the other hand was poor quality especially for the price. A very expensive bowl of porridge came out as a brick and I had to return it for equally expensive burnt toast. Other breakfast items ordered for the family were OK but dissappointing. Coffee was good. Maybe other things on the menu are better. Next visit to EMA I'll be trying elsewhere.

This review is a 5 star review for the manager (I think he was the manager, Macaulay) he was fantastic and sorted out a small issue we had with our breakfast. He was helpful, professional and made a great start to our holiday.

Holy guacamole or should I say Avocadoly …… well it was okay. Let’s start with the bun or baps 😉 as you Welsh folks would say! It was nice, just your average nosh. Let’s get to the nitty gritty….. the eggs! well this is where the chicken had a fall out with the chef, the egg was as slimy as a child’s nose, however the yolk had a nice ooze to it. Chef apologise to the chicken please ! 🐔The avocado lacked a bit of punch, it could have done with some chilli flakes or something. The bacon. The bacon. The bacon ….. definitely needed to be in the oven for a smidge more …. The fat wasn’t crispy enough. It was like chewing on the leg of a sumo wrestler. Ohh well… was okay though. Not a bad place for some airport nosh. Just have word with the chicken and chef before you order!

Didn't have half the stuff for breakfast, not cooked properly, sent back to get it sorted then they bring it back stone cold, my mate got my food & I got hers, massive disappointment,

The service was quick when taking the order and bringing the food however it did take a while once we had eaten to get the bill which was disappointing. The breakfast we had was nice for the price point, the bacon was a little salty. The toast was forgotten from the vegetarian breakfast but this was rectified. Overall a good option to eat at when in the airport.

Writing this from on board my flight. It’s not often I’ll write a review, certainly not this quickly. A couple of things went wrong with the order but the way the manager and the team handled the situation was seriously top notch (morning shift - 9th Nov). They turned a potentially poor experience into one which will be remembered for positive reasons. The food was great, but this was really all about the service. Thanks!
