Frankie and Benny's in North West Leicestershire

Food was standard. Rafa was excellent in terms of service.

We visited at 6.15am on the 15th May and were sat on table 2. One had hoped for a rather more seamless experience, especially in a venue bearing such recognisable branding. Regrettably, our visit was riddled with disappointment. We were seated in a rather dismal section directly beside a door that slammed with such frequency and vigour, it could only be described as a test of one’s composure. Upon being shown to our table, no instructions whatsoever were provided as to how we ought to proceed — whether a member of staff might attend to us or if we should approach the bar ourselves. In due course, we ventured to the bar for clarification, whereupon a young gentleman informed us he would return to our table to take our order. Alas, after a further ten minutes of inactivity, we were compelled to flag down a young lady — distinguished by her blonde hair and pink clips — who informed us, with little ceremony and no small amount of bluntness, that this particular area was bar service only. This, despite the prior assertion that our order would be taken at the table. Confused and rather unimpressed, we reluctantly returned to the bar. Having placed our order, we then endured a protracted wait for our hot beverages. Meanwhile, the environment around us was far from agreeable. The table was surrounded by detritus from previous guests — dirty plates and neglected surfaces — all of which were routinely ignored by staff who breezed past with barely a glance. A certain young man with dishevelled hair managed to bend down behind the bar during this time, offering me an unsolicited and entirely unappetising glimpse of his lower back and, most unfortunately, a full view of his posterior cleft. I daresay that image shall linger longer than the flavour of the coffee. To its credit, the food arrived swiftly and was, on the whole, perfectly acceptable. However, one final affront awaited us: a couple seated nearby — in the very same area — received full table service, including the delivery of their drinks, a courtesy we were expressly told was not available. One finds this inconsistency in service standards utterly baffling and, frankly, unacceptable. In summary, while one recognises that an airport location may involve a degree of hustle and unpredictability, it ought not be an excuse for substandard service and chaotic organisation. Frankie & Benny’s must do better. Standards must be upheld — regardless of postcode. One shall not be returning.

Food was not very warm. Stacker came without egg. Although they did refund it. More fat than bacon. Table and cutlery not very clean

Went today at 2.30pm to order food and was informed that the kitchen was closed!!

Very pleased that they let us eat in a closed area, though as we were 10 they likely weighed up the benefits of keeping us. Food was easy enough to order on the qr code and was set to arrive in 15mins....perfect for the food ordered.... Unfortunately it was cold. Conversely the coffees were a further 15min which was pushing our time in this closed area. The issue was disconnect between food and drink service... Had the floor manager 'managed' , we might have got both food and drink together and out of the closed area faster. At least FN got the sales though 🙄

A nice experience today a much improved restaurant. Staff were happy and attentive food was hot and fresh, please tell the kitchen I spilled my drink and we were reseated and given a refill free. Definitely worth the visit.

Fancied a burger whilst waiting for my flight , waited 30 mins burger burnt looked like a child had prepared it and about as appetising as cardboard , lesson learnt never again

Excellent all day breakfast brunch, upstairs only serves breakfast til 1130 and cheaper than upstairs, fast service, friendly staff, eggs were really tasty.

Initally was sat down prior to the breakfast cut off time and was given breakfast menu’s then by the time the waiter came to take our order “sorry but you can’t have breakfast as it’s past 11” so we have to relook at the lunch menu at what we wanted - A minor inconvenience but understandable I suppose. Food came, plate was hotter than the food and all had a funny taste and super dry, been to frankie and bennies loads of times and never had food that bad. Also, can we talk about the bean portion size 😂 this is “the big one” apparently. Slow service, it wasn’t busy at all and they seemed well staffed. All for above average prices as well, you’d expect a better standard. We were in there over 1 hour in total, mostly spent waiting for the bill - not good when needing to get to your gate.

The food was satisfactory. However, the service was rather disappointing. It's imperative that they begin to train as soon as possible. In fact, it would be beneficial to terminate their employment. Shannon's first. Their performance is quite disappointing.

Before my departure, I sought a full English breakfast, anticipating a similar experience to previous Frankie & Benny's airport locations. Following seating and order placement, the meal arrived after a 20-minute wait; however, the baked beans were cold and required mixing, the sausage was burnt, and the cutlery was soiled. Our assigned server was largely unavailable and required prompting to clear the table. While we initially intended to enjoy post-meal drinks, the subpar hospitality and inattention to basic service details proved discouraging. The lack of focus on hospitality was unacceptable, especially given the early hour and low customer volume. I will avoid this establishment in the future.

I have never written a review but this restaurant was so bad i feel i had too. To start off the food was freezing cold, and tasted like it had been sitting out for ages. It's not even worth half the price. To make matters worse, the service was terrible. The ambience was also lacking - the table and chairs were filthy. We were seated in a booth that was broken, causing the other side to keep pushing into us and vice versa, making it very uncomfortable for everyone. Despite the issues with the food, the service didn't make any effort to compensate or make things right. Wouldn't go back even if it was free. Save your time and money.

Just wanted a couple of hot drinks so ordered at the bar nice woman eventually got served , 30 mins later 2 drinks arrived , 30 minutes later 2 unbaked croissants arrived with 2 frozen pieces of butter all for the sum of £15 absolute joke of a place STEER CLEAR AT ALL COSTS !!!!!

A great breakfast before a very early flight. We had the full English and a mushroom and cherry tomato hash- the eggs unfortunately were a little over for me but very nice all the same. Great service and reasonable price!

Awful atmosphere with extremely unfriendly staff. Was told the restaurant area was closed at 4pm??!! Had to sit in the bar area. Strange. Food arrived, very small portions for the cost of almost £60!! Had to ask for cutlery to be advised they are located at the end of the bar and get them ourselves. The cutlery tray was empty so again asked for cutlery when we finally found a member of staff. Finally got them but they were childrens. Had to locate a staff member again to be told they are all the same size!! Held it up to my husbands to prove they are not. Finally got the cutlery. Then had to request Parmesan cheese. Jesus it was hard work! Save yourself the bother and go elsewhere. By the time I got to start eating my food was cold 👎🏻

On waiting to be seated there wasn’t anyone to actually organise the people waiting. The tables were left with trays , plates cups etc. No one in control of the situation so we voted with our feet!!.

As soon as we got there we were greeted by josh who was very friendly. Sadly the eggs Benedict was not available which we were disappointed by. Josh out of his own pocket bought us a coffee, which made the start of our holiday. All of the staff were lovely and we still had a great breakfast despite missing our fav eggs Benedict.

They have a big breakfast for £13.50, but they charge you for toasts £3! And for coffee another £4, so I ended up paying over 20 quid for the breakfast. I barely even ate the toasts because the breakfast already comes with 2 different types of fried potatoes - why the waiter even asked me whether I wanted toasts? Lol Coffee wasn't hot.

Josh was lovely & welcoming to me and my friend! He saw our disappointment due to the eggs Benedict not being available and out of his own pocket bought us a coffee each which made us happy at the start of our holiday. He was very attentive and all the other staff smiley and friendly too so we had a lovely experience overall & the breakfast we ended up ordering was lovely! (Smashed avo on toast with poached eggs and bacon if anyone is interested!)

Served by Justyna who was very efficient and pleasant. Food was good and although quite expensive it was comparable in price to the alternatives on offer.

We are regular visitors to Frankie and Bennys at EMA and every single time we visit we are met with a warm friendly welcome from Lynn. She is the face of Frankie & Bennys. She is polite, friendly and efficient. Thank you Lynn. We look forward to having breakfast on our monthly trips from EMA to get the warm smile from Lynn 😊 xx

Awful microwave fare for fresh food prices. Was told they didn't have pancakes or scrambled eggs but could do fried eggs. How about putting those eggs your frying in a pan and mixing them up lads? Food was awful. Sloppy half hot half cold mess. Timing worrying. Hot food, including meat, our before the pastry because the pastry was made fresh. Id rather you made fresh meat thanks. Awful airport experience. Never again. Disgusting

Rafel is one of the loveliest waiters I’ve ever had. So friendly and smiley especially so early in the morning, nothing was too much to ask and went above and beyond to look after our little one!

Always pop in before we fly , however this time the food was awful .. burger cold and chips over done , food sat a long time on the counter before it was bought to the table , women on the table behind us were pouring wine in drink bottles to take on the plane while the member of staff laughed talking about it .. disgraceful
