Eden Bistro Coffee Shop in North West Leicestershire

Such a shame this placed has closed down. It was much needed in the area. Looks like Moira will remain the place where the shoe warehouse was instead of something more positive.

After hearing about the new menu we were eager to see what the place had to offer.Unfortunately we were left disgusted at the sight of staff picking their nose,swearing and coughing in their hands. There was a man walking round i believe he was the owner and added a really bad vibe to the place. Such a shame when me and family were there to celebrate the life of our recently deceased loved one. I will not be going back and advise the rest of the future customers reading this to also stay away.

A lovely place to come. The setting of the bistro could be anywhere but still close to home. The food is very nice nd presented well. The staff couldnt be more helpful, friendly and cheery. This is the second time of being here and would thoroughly recommend Eden Bistro.

A last minute rainy day visit to Eden for the 3 of us today & we were pleasantly surprised with a fabulous experience. Friendly service with a smile, beautifully decorated interior, lovely mock tails/coffees & fantastic food. Thank you for squeezing us in, we will be back!

myself and my wife went for breakfast yesterday. We was really enjoying our visit, until I think it was the owner (women dark hair) come over to a couple sat behind us, pointing, swearing and even threatened the guy, said that she would hunt him down.. the poor guy only complained that this was the second time he had been and that they hadn't got on the menu what he wanted, but was happy to choose something else. We was so shocked how she spoke to them! what a vile women/owner to speak to her customers like that I won't be returning again

Me and my partner came here for a spot of light lunch, after ordering our drinks I asked inside for food menus and was informed it was a half hour wait, which is understandable as we didn’t book. I then went to order a pepperoni pizza and a portion of chips for us to share to be told that pepperoni isn’t an option for adults, only children. I then asked for a margherita pizza ( £10 ) with pepperoni on top and I was happy to pay a few quid extra for this, and they then tried to charge me for a vegan pizza which is £16 but they’ll only put pepperoni on it, we then came to the resolution that I pay for 2 children’s pepperoni pizzas and they will make 1 standard size one ( £14 this cost ) After around 25-30 minutes of waiting, the pizza arrived, half of the pizza didn’t even have cheese on and it just looked sad, barely warm and just covered in tomato purée to the point it actually dripped off the pizza as you ate it. We then asked for a pizza cutter to cut said pizza, and was provided a steak knife… Honestly it was just a bad experience from start to finish which is sad, unsure if it has had new management but something has definitely gone wrong with this place lately.

Sloppy service, especially as there were only 2 tables. Staff attitude lets the food down. We won’t be returning.

Wasn't going to leave a review..especially after been told by (as I found out later) the owner that she knew my game and it was to leave a bad review to get my meal for free...REALLY!!!! So here goes...A friend booked an 11.30 table for us to have lunch. I arrived bang on 11.30 to find my friend already seated and had been for 15mins. She had ordered an apple juice and it was still sitting on the counter, despite staff walking past it numerous times. After a good 5 to 10 minutes She called a man over, who was polite and ordered a diet coke for me and asked if she could have her drink too as it had now been sat there for nearly 20 mins. Our drinks arrived with an apology for the wait. Roll on another good 10 mins and we had to ask for the menu. Another wait and we asked if we could order. At this time I counted 16 other people in the place at least 4 staff floating round, so I would hardly call it busy. 2 ladies came in and sat next to us. Ordered 2 cappuccinos and walked out 25 mins later without having had their coffees!!! Back to us....I ordered a spicy soup and the children's cheese on toast to go with it. My friend ordered The Club Sandwich. The waitress asked her what it came with. She said fries. She then came back questioning the cheese on toast...I didn't know we did it she stated. Its on the childs menu I told her. She came back again asking what cheese I wanted... I said the gooey one as described on the menu!! She said it was a new menu and she didn't know it!!! Roll on 10 mins and my cheese on toast arrived with the explanation that the chef had done it wrong but she had brought it out anyway for me. It looked and was delicious. My friends lunch came out...it looked and was delicious she said. Then a cheese toastie sandwich came out, and we were told that was the cheese on toast....we were asked if we had everything and I said no just my soup to come please, and my friend said the mayo that she had asked twice for. My spicy carrot soup arrived piping hot but it was very curryish and not pleasant. My mistake as I should have asked more questions about the soup I suppose. When the plates were taken away I had left most of the soup and all the cheese toastie sandwich as I had eaten the cheese on toast long before my soup arrived the waitress said what's the matter with that pointing to the sandwich..I explained I never ordered it , she then asked about the soup and I said it was more curry than soup. She took the plates clearly annoyed and said she would try the soup herself in the kitchen. In the meantime the place was falling further into chaos, staff walking out, hot coffee spilt on a baby, nobody had a clue what they were doing. Blaming staff shortages, new menu, Etc etc anything other than the fact they didn't have a clue what they were doing. I asked the waitress what happened to person who used to work there....she was very rude about them and said the place had never run better since they had left... sorry but you are so wrong. We had so many drinks brought to our table by mistake it was unbelievable. Anyway after been told I was only complaining to get a free meal we went to the counter to pay. Another waitress said she would take my soup off the bill for me. I explained it was a very bitter curry flavour to be told they couldn't list all the spices in it and although no curry powder was put in it there was cumin and turmeric, hence the curry flavour. I then said I had never been spoken to so rudely as the other waitress had spoken to me. She apologised profusely and then told me SHE WAS THE OWNER AND NOT A WAITRESS. Omg so the owner doesn't know her own menu, is extremely rude, stood chatting to customers while other customers walked out due to not being served, bad mouthed old staff ...AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Excellent food and amazing service, coffee is as good as it gets. Really modern looking interior and very friendly atmosphere - highly recommended.

Amazing place, nice and modern, staff are really friendly and had a lovely meal. Will be coming back very soon!
