Donington Park in North West Leicestershire

Donington Park is a service station with the A42 meets the M1 and the A453 diverts to Nottingham. It is also very close to East Midlands Airport. As it is a major transport hub there is alot of people coming and going them and some of them want something to eat or drink and some of them need the toilet. There is a hotel next to the service station for those who want a longer stay. Like most service stations there are parking restrictions however I am sure allowances are made for those staying over. Inside the service station there are toilets as well as a games arcade. There are also places to get something to eat including KFC, Costa, Greggs as well as a Marks & Spencer and WH Smith. All the fast food outlets have the touch screen order service and the stores also have lots of card tills. This makes it a challenge for those who want to pay by cash. THERE ARE STILL LOTS OF US WHO WANT TO DO THIS!!!!

Decent food, terrible service. Not the staffs fault, but there isn't enough people out front to deal with orders so when you are unable to do something at the kiosk they can't think fast enough to understand what you're asking for at the till. Asked for beans instead of fries as KFC is a fairly decent option calorie wise if you dont eat the fries, the woman at the till told me I could do this at the kiosk, but you definitely can't so I placed my order. Got the food and it still had fries in the box which is absolutely amazing. Good food. Bad service.

Waited for 12 minutes, then been told to wait another 4 minutes just for wrap, don’t even get refund as I have to leave, been offer a fries or coleslaw instead of a twister wrap.

The food is very good, the employees there are very nice and friendly. Eat with confidence.

Waiting over 15 minutes for a cookie. How ridiculous. Will not be coming back here again. 1 member of staff having to manage lots of orders is a joke.

Fantastic KFC quality, quick service and great quality food. In among other restaurants, this was my choice. A shame the popcorn chicken has significantly reduced in size. The fillets, fries, gravy and legs were are very good. I'll definitely eat here again when I'm next staying in the Travelodge right opposite. Highly recommend.

Just been here on our way home from a trip to London, was really nice, freshly cooked juicy chicken. Best KFC I've had in a long time. Service was touch screens but guy who served us our food was chirpy enough. Only problem was, was to say the services was quiet the tables were quite dirty, but can't blame KFC for that as I think the tables and chairs are shared by all the units.

Terrible! I stopped (this eve 9/9/24) craving my kfc fix, long journey ahead. Use my rewards app. This was by far the worst, also not warm. I went back as. I had paid to upgrade via the terminal to a large meal (fries and drink) I was told this is a large fries, shocking.live kfc, but these staff consistency and standards let you massively down.

Good food nothing wrong with anything just wait time was a bit long for fast food but it is a service so.. u can't really except the lines to be super quick but other than that everything was great the food was the right temp and really good I got the zinger burger box and everything was good!

My god they are officially the slowest KFC. I am writing this out of shear boredom after 20 minutes standing in the queue like everyone else. There seems to be just 2 staff. I really feel sorry for the guy out front . This is not acceptable KFC !! The picture is of people who have bee waiting even longer !

If these could all be 1 star they would. Had to wait ages for my food, they forgot my popcorn chicken which i had to go back for when i finally got home to eat my dinner the chicken looked and felt raw the beans were hard. Not happy at all £27 wasted

Gregg's  We stopped for breakfast here and had several choices to make. We opted for here as we do like the coffee. And accompanied this with a bacon sandwich. Great deal and great coffee and buttie! We will stop here again as it was a newer services, with lots of spaces.  Good services as well - clean toilets etc for weary travellers to use.

One young man at the till serving people with a smile. A busy queue, but very polite and helpful with customers. I've not received my order yet, but wanted to post this regarding service with a smile. Thank you Alfie.

A reasonable motorway service station.

Wez on front was professional, approachable and friendly. Happy to make amends to orders. Friendly lad, 10/10 attitude, exactly what you want when you're ordering fast food. Was having a bad day, he made it better.

One of the worst experience ever... took around 20 min to prepare burger, bites and coffee. Where in meantime, chicken bucket meals was flying out of the till.

A clean venue, but the speed at which they work is slow and dead slow. Food was acceptable and warm, but the staff serving clearly didn't want to be at work. I mentioned the poor service and was told it would be addressed. Usually I have really good experiences at Moto locations and the stores within sadly this wasn't tk be on this visit.

Donington Services has been completely rebuilt since my last visit. Now it's a nice open space with plenty of light and room.

Overpriced and quite a few bits on the menu, not available...Asked for a coffee as my drink?, only to be told "the coffee machine is broken and to come back tomorrow"..Not really an option is it !!!!

The worst thing about our visit was having an employee being reviewed by her manager and area supervisor at the table next to us. As well as being extremely humiliating for the employee to be reviewed in public, it was incredibly distasteful to hear the details of the 9 number 1 scores being discussed whilst we were eating our dinner! Extremely poor behaviour from the area manager or whoever conducted the interview.

Ordered 10pcs original recipe chicken, disappointed that got 9 pcs drums for £18.99. How can I do a complaint for this?

Not worth stopping for this KFC Self order not working and after 15min wait I find out what they out of food at 19.00 Waisted half an hour

Food came out really slow. 35 minute wait. Maybe they weren't prepared for a Saturday evening rush.

No clear signs about opening times. We had experience of this expensive outlet on our way back around 5 in the evening

I would like to thank the staff member at KFC Donington Services for giving me the chance to try the Burger King Chimichurri Gourmet King burger. I had intended to order a box meal from KFC but all 4 of the order machines were out of service, so I stood in front of the counter waiting to be served for at least five minutes while being ignored by the person behind the counter before I gave up and walked across to the other side of the food hall. Take note, KFC, even after I'd used Burger King's order machines that were actually working, the staff behind the counter asked me if I was waiting to order from them while I stood in front of them waiting. It's called customer service.

I've never seen a dirty restaurant like this one. You could see the staff were overworked, Clearly, they were short staffed. Had to ask for a cloth and disinfectant to wipe the table down myself.

Only two orders screens working. All others offline. Mobile app ordering also offline. Queue at counter, one till. Gave up. 7pm

The best poison in the world 🤣🤣🤣compared with any kind of junk food About staff...all the shop have mixed nationality but most of the staff they are Indian, muslim, Thailand or Mongolian something like this, the problem is not the nationality, the problem is they looking sad and I don't know..to disturbed them with my wished or to go out. Management .....trading them to smile to be kind, to be fun, to make people to cam there and feel comfortable, not to run people when they see them face.

Came to meet a family member and had some food. Luckily I noticed the time I came in as you only get 2 free hours parking. I was 15 minutes over this and the minimum parking I could pay was for 24hrs at £15!!! Absolutely shocking… £7.50 and hour to park

Nice succulent chicken🐔 With an exquisite batter, Crispy & Fresh👌 Any Critic would agree, the sauces taste home-made! Service was second to non, Served politely inc smile👍 (Happy with that, Thankyou very much!) And to end, the Atmosphere!! Unbelievably tranquil and pleasant, KFC Donnington Park! Motorway services, quite a good one.

As with most motorway services, the prices are a little high, but the food was fresh and hot, and the service was fast, so it met the needs

Very slow service, but food up to normal (great) quality.

You need to order two hours ahead! Don't come here when you're hungry. Absolutely outrageous to wait more than 30 minutes for your order while there are no clients. On top of that, items from your order are missing all the time. When asking at the counter for your missing items, they are trying to explain it's your fault you haven't ordered properly. After 20 minutes they started to hand over orders. They were probably placed two-three hours ahead.

Food up to the usual good standard I'd expect. Hence 4* Bit slow (later orders arrived first: suspect they forgot the rice or something tbh; but better late than never). However, no spoon provided for the ice cream. When requested, met with an attitude of couldn't care less... "we haven't got any & there's nothing I can do - you'll have to use a fork" Hence 1*!

Meal tasted like it was warmed up in the microwave - Chicken was soggy. Bought the meals and hit back motor would have chucked it back to them.

Had a look for a non-meat options at KFC, Burger King, the pastie shop, Greggs, etc. and was very disappointed at the lack of choice. Unlike other locations I have been to, the choice here for a vegetarian or vegan meal is very poor.

Service took too long for a place where there were no queues on the tills. The staff were not interested in serving amd when they did it was at their leisure.

Ok about what one could expect but not as good or as clean as Moto's Rugby services

Really frustrating their online ordering is not working, and so hard to use app rewards. The staff do a good job, however they lack some products such as sauces all the time. But overall the meal was pleasant and cannot be faulted

Didn't have the wrap available, so I opted for a burger instead, which was ok. However, when we asked where the drink was that came with the meal, we were given a 'crushem's' and was told the drinks machine was broken...didn't even ask for a 'crushem's' 🤷‍♀️

Love a KFC, ordered 2 tier box meals and an original recipie salad box.

Just stopped for a comfort break. The loos were clean and free of smells. Costa coffee needed more staff - being lunch time most were off duty having lunch it seemed! The coffee was OK.

We had the trilogy box meal we looked for hot wings but there were no hot wings at all on the menu. I was shocked by looking at the menu that there are no hot wings at all.

Staff weren't very welcoming, got our order wrong.
