Very pleasant and helpful staff in the cafe. Quick service and food OK for the price

Fresh bread not available at 10:30 Sunday morning. Tried the cafe before our shop, not very good value, small portion size one single streak of bacon and tiny egg on my avo/toast.

Not a bad shop But, Please, get more check out,s open, when i asked,i was told either, Not enough staff or lots on there holls" But on the self service there is always lots of staff standing about , talking!!!! Sort it out Please..

Was given their pharmacy line by 111 to discuss a high temperature in a young child. They do not answer. In 2024. What are you doing about customer service, where the service is essential? Every little helps. Or not. Do better.

Regular shopper at your store. You recently replaced your small trolleys but already many of them have defective wheels. It's not obvious until you take the trolley onto the smooth floor of the shop and then it goes BANG BANG BANG as the defective wheel moves on pushing the trolley. I often have to change my trolley for another, otherwise I can't think what I want to buy and just have the urge to abandon my shopping trip. Please get rid of these rubbish trolleys as I never have an issue with them shopping at M and S, Aldi or Sainsbury's. Thank you.

Went yesterday evening to look at clothes and couldn't believe the mess the whole area was in. Clothes all on floor and empty coat hangers some of which were in centre of walking area causing a danger if someone slipped on one. Defiantly need staff keeping area tidy it gives wrong impression to customers.

Visited the cafe at Tesco Ashby order food and saked for the bacon well done to be told that they were not allowed to do it and I would have to have it how it came when I got it it was almost raw could not eat it .

Huge shop with helpful folk. Sainburys could learn alot from Tesco. Thanks to tou all your 👍 great

Visited the Ashby store today always have a good experience but sarah today, was amazing, as a disabled customer, Sarah was so patient she made me feel at ease, was chatty, friendly a great asset to the company, give the girl a promotiom her customer service is outstanding, helped me to car u landed, for me, made my expdrience a good one, I was thinking of shipping more local but sarah changed my mind, I've spent 500 pound this week alone, and will continue to do so thanks to. I only recently acquired an up to date Tesco card, so had to visit Customer Services to add points to my card. Sarah, who dealt with my requests, went above the call of duty and was extremely helpful. All the staff I had contact with were very pleasant and helpful. Well done Tesco Staff. It was a pleasure shopping at your store today.

On the evening of 31/05/24 customer service was non existent and the chap who purported to be the duty manager needs to attend some type of training course, it will be a long time before I enter this store again, I replaced almost £100 of shopping back on the shelves and left, I'll go to Morrisons tomorrow 🙄

Just been absolutely sharted in the sack by a kids Rugby ball at about 70mph, got woman asking why it bends left, it came out of nowhere think the manager did it. Went in for chocolate but left without one of my kinder eggs, an just to add I I’ve now got an A* in maths due to the obtuse angle I’m left with.

Great customer service, the only let down was the product I wanted was not available even though on my app and on the stores computer it said there was plenty in stock. Unfortunately that was not the case

3 members of staff manning over 20 self service desks at peak time on a Saturday is a disaster. Waited 5 minutes to have a member of the store to approve my age. Appalling.

I have today visited the mobile phone shop to set up a new contract with Tesco. I cannot praise Payten Clarke enough who served me. She was so professional and very helpful with the choice of contract and phone that she suggested for me. I am so grateful for her help and patience. Thank you again

I work for sainsbury’s. But I always get my fruit and veg from here. The quality is amazing. Not rotten like my store. It looks so fresh. This is the best tesco store I have been to for fruit and veg. Keep up what you are doing. It is the best!!!!

Although we find the store generally very good, we do find that there are too many staff pushing around the large trolleys for the internet delivery orders. Some of them block the aisles talking to each other with little thought for customers.

A huge Tesco outlet with very wide selection of products. They also have a large clothing area and housewares section. They've a large number of aisles for frozen and chilled foods and huge fresh produce section - though we've noticed some quality issues with the some produce especially during busy seasons like Christmas. The staff are always friendly and happy to help

This place sales clothes which are very nice.

Self check-out experience is appalling. "Discount" pricing can be misleading. Click-n-collect queues can be excessive, blocking parking.

Customer service woman has a real attitude problem and doesn't belong in a position that welcomes your paying customers. We needed a clip on trolley for my mother's wheelchair and all she could say was if there are any they're outside. Made no effort to go and look for us. Fiona on the other hand was fantastic. She went out and brought one back in,, all the time with a big smile and lovely persona. Massive thank-you to Fiona, and indeed the rest of the staff we interacted with.

Decent supermarket & petrol station

Went to click and collect yesterday, waited in a queue for 35 minutes. I asked the assistant what had gone wrong and they just said, well we are busy, I could see that but as we all book a slot it would have been good to know why such a delay.

Big store but fresh fruit and veg a bit hit and miss. Often gaps in the fresh fruit and veg isle. Huge reliance on self scan checkouts outside very busy periods so if that's not your thing probably worth shopping elsewhere.

While shopping for our son, my wife and I sensed discomfort as a staff member kept a close eye on us, standing right behind as we looked at clothes. It was clear she suspected us, turning what should have been a pleasant shopping experience into an uneasy one. I get the need for preventing shoplifting, but her approach was way off. It felt like she didn't trust us, making us feel like we were up to no good. This isn't a one-time thing; I've heard similar stories from others about being closely watched by Tesco staff, especially if you're not a local. It seems like a recurring issue. I really hope Tesco takes some steps to fix this. Staff should know how to prevent theft without making customers feel like they're under investigation. Tesco needs to make it crystal clear that following customers is just not okay.

Big car park, sadly get a lot of people who feel it’s their right to use disabled bays with not blue badge or Child bays with no child- despite the provision of larger spaces to the rear of the car park - they clearly can’t park in a standard bay! Store run well - spoilt by the barging of the store pickers who just drive on through - one assumes after parking in the child or disabled bays ! Being an extra the store carries a wide range of products food and otherwise and has a nice restraint and bureau de change (current no commission charged), Convenient location. Most staff friendly.

Friendly helpful staff ease of parking

I visited on a Monday morning. Too many online shopping pickers pushing thier way infront of you without an excuse me or any politeness. Tesco's are proud of thier Aldi price match. I figuure i will just stick to Adli.

Wow, what a store! Only needed to go in to use the toilet until…..we saw the BATTENBERG SIGN. Mr Kiplings Battenberg £1.75! In tears me and my mate ran to the isle. It was true, only £1.75, £1.40 with clubcard. Finally two lads can enjoy a Battenberg together. Highly recommend. Will return sooner than I should <3

Don't even sell women's shoes self scan tills don't take cash, cash machines always of service what a joke may as well use my clubcard to swipe my soily crack

Plenty of parking available, all products you need for a weekly shop are inside and the staff are helpful and friendly too

Just had a shocking experience seeing an obvious man using the ladies. Ladies loos are for females. What is your policy on men identifying as women using the ladies toilets? If this isn't an issue then you need to label your toilets as unisex. Otherwise please label the ladies toilets as female only. Thank you.

Yesterday I had a totally uplifting experience with a member of Tesco staff. In the Ashby-de-la-Zouch store, I was looking for the Tesco brand eye soothing spray on the shelves. As an elderly woman, I suffer badly with dry eyes. So I was squinting at the shelf trying to see if I had missed the product or was there even a space, feeling really rough. A staff member who had been stocking shelves nearby then asked me if I was OK. I told him my problem and he said he thought there had been some rearrangements of products round there. He took out his phone and identified my product and discovered it had been moved away from all the other eye spray (go figure), and there it was. This is stellar customer service. His name was Harry and it was mid morning on 20th July. It may seem small to you, but it stands yards above most of the service standards of staff in that store. Please, Trsco, see that Harry is congratulated as restoring my faith in Tesco and put him in charge of all staff training for the whole company. I shop there every week ans usually have trouble getting any help. Staff are chatting to each other and reluctant to interrupt this for a mere customer. Attempts at friendliness are met with snarls and often you hear them moaning they've nothing to do. We need to clone Harry. His attitude, store knowledge, competence and empathy is absolutely outstanding.

On the whole it’s a clean smart place to shop but really disappointing that 2 Saturdays running and by 07:30 there is no peppercorn sauce available. It’s not a particularly short dated item so once I can accept but 2 weekends running I won’t. Minor issue I agree but c’mon Tesco sort the stock out or continue to lose sales. 2 fillet steaks went back on shelf and a trip to Morrisons sorted the problem.

Awfull. Left standing at the self service checkout with a red light on for ages waiting for a staff member to verify my age.( I'd bought an energy drink.) Definitely will not use this tesco again. Absolute bloody shambles.

Arrived just after store opening wanting to buy a pair of black trousers. The clothing area looked as if a tornado had passed through with clothes strewn on the floor and no staff in sight. Wanted to try a pair on and couldn't access changing rooms so went to ask at customer services to find that was shut and told to wait in the lottery queue to find the woman on the till was busy talking to her colleague and after 10 minutes I just walked out. Worst tesco I have ever been to and won't be going again

Good supermarket but keeps stopping goods that I use i.e was buying Chapattis 6 for 97p stopped them and replaced with own brand 2 for £1.10. 🥺

If you take young children who want a 'lunch bag' it may be a good idea to take your own food. We visited at lunch-time and despite being told repeatedly that the children's sandwiches were in the cabinet, the cupboard was bare. I am at a loss to understand why a cafe could not make extra sandwiches. All they could offer was toast. What a shambles.

Bigger store being the Tesco extra, which means there's everything sold here that you could possibly need from a shop such as food, beers/spirits and clothing. There's a massive car park with plenty of wheelchair and parent parking spaces. If you need fuel, then there's also a Tesco petrol station near the store. Toilet facilities located near the entrance of the store. There's plenty of self service machines for the shoppers with a small amount.

I choose to shop here because of the location. Cannot say anything good sorry.

Shopped at this store early Tuesday afternoon, absolutely shameful only 2 tills open with massive queues at both, but counted four people assisting on self checkouts. Was waiting for over 40 minutes to pay , the customers who need a checkout are obviously not wanted in Ashby.

Just been in Tescos in Ashby this Thursday morning.NIGHTMARE....Took me 15 mins to get all my shopping and waited over half an hour to get served.Not enough staff working on the tills...when a few people enquired about opening some more tills it Never happened. In the half an hour I waited no more tills were opened...and I don't think they tried to hard either.What didn't help also the staff they do have. on are particular slow

Disappointed to see the closure of the meat and fish department

Only a four as they keep moving the aisles around and easy to miss things

Nice place to shop, had breakfast in the restaurant, but found it disappointing as the beans we're cold and the rest of my breakfast was not very warm. I was really hungry and looking forward to it. Will shop there again but I will not eat anything from the restaurant. Please Tesco's don't plate the food and then leave out to long to be taken out by a server. Food should be checked before it goes out.

I will never shop here again, came here to do Xmas shopping and took just over 3 hours to shop so later received a parking fine, tesco should be ashamed with themselves to let these scumbag companies run the car parking. I'll be going back to shopping at morrisons.

This store has a clothing outlet that is larger than some high street clothing stores and carries a large range of garments, however the changing rooms are very rarely open. It is incredible that you are expected to purchase clothing without the opportunity to try on. Surely this causes many return trips to the store to exchange or return garments which increases the carbon footprint of each garment that is returned. Should be doing better for a huge retail organisation

Good choice of product But some customer services needs Looking into at scan as you shop. Scanning system is not working properly on items and is embarrassing. At checkout. When items ar not Scanning properly. And to top it all staff are huffing and Moaning about having to check everything. This is not acceptable. Distrusting

Where have all your free from chilled deserts gone? Why have you removed from your shelves free from chocolate sundae/mousse/strawberry cheesecakes and replaced them with less choice some of which are more expensive?

I've always enjoyed good service here with well stocked shelves, an onsite service station with an attended car wash ..and the staff are both pleasant and helpful - you get the impression that they want to be there. The Cafe in store is well worth a visit too with sizeable portions, dishes are well cooked and they try to 'mix it up' a little bit with different dishes or 'specials' on a daily basis.

Didn't have the trousers I needed for school but then that seems to be all stores and the ones I bought were for girls on a boys hanger.. yeah didn't fit! But normally great!

Started going here for fuel, in the works vans, the thing that let's it down for me is that there are no toilets in the petrol station, so it means 2 stops, 1 for a pee & 1 for fuel!!!

Went today(26/6/22),was looking for something specific,we had a trolley as my wife uses it for stability,we didn't manage to find what we were looking for and on exiting the store the trolley locked up,a siren was going off somewhere and then security came asking us why we hadn't bought anything, told them we couldn't find what we were looking for, seemed to take pleasure in telling us shoplifters exit with empty trollies,was getting embarrassed now as people were looking at us,(incidentley we are an elderly couple),so I take it everyone who goes into Tesco's and doesn't find what they are looking for and leaves(or trys to),are now categorised as shoplifters,fine,you won't have that problem from us again as we will give any Tesco store a wide berth.

Brought a top from the Ashby store yesterday and was unhappy when I found it had a tag fitted did not notice at shop no alarm went off when I left.so took it back today and complained at the fact that the alarm didn't go off when I left and was told that I should have looked for someone to remove the tag I would have done that if I had seen it made it a expensive top I live about twenty away

Despite clearly stating "No Substitutions" on my online order, they insist on trying to send me substitute items. Repeated complaints to Customer Services have made no difference.

Very rare you can't find what you need

Usual lack of checkout operators at the checkouts, usual staff gossiping at supervisor’s station whilst queues build up

We called in today while on holiday, we met Steve holding a lolly sign saying ....here to help, this guy was a really 5star helper, great store and lovely staff...well done everybody.

Been going to this tesco for years, it has almost everything you need! Has a lovely updated cafe too, and large amount of car parking.

Don’t. I had smoked salmon. Salmon was grisly. Scrambled egg was hard and solid. Certainly not scambled. Very overcooked and served on a cold plate.it took 30 minutes to serve. The table was not cleaned after the previous customer.

Way better than Aldi. Friendly staff, great selection of goods and they have always paid atention to Covid restrictions. I'll be sticking with these guys.

Not sure where the sever shortages are but they aren't here.

Today had lunch which took 30 minutes from ordering to table service ? When it was delivered to the table it was by a male member of staff, who 20 minutes earlier had been seen clearing and wiping down tables in the restaurant ! And then seen placing up plates in the kitchen. On all occasions not wearing any protective gloves of mask ? In a time where Covid is still high in numbers and rising, it caused concern for hygiene standards in the establishment ?

Great shop you can get pretty much everything under one roof.

We anted toasred hot cross buns bt had to settle for tea cake with butter, cream and jam. It was very nice and a good cup of tea, but not as good as a hot cross bun.
