The Villager Pub in East Lindsey

Our Family popped in for a pint and ended up ordering the coastfield classic burger for my son he said they are the best chips he's ever had, The Jacket potato for my other son, me and OH had the Giant filled yorkshires sausage one. All was bang on even came back the next day for seconds, and few pints. staff was lovely very welcoming.

Popped in with my other half for a quick pint on way back to caravan. Silly rabbit for a pint of Fosters and a pint of Heineken £11.30p no wonder the place was dead.

We went for a meal and had an awful experience. 40 min wait for the food, which turned up wrong, the bacon on the burgers was undercooked, missing chicken from the burger, the cheese slice on the burger was so thin you could see Skegness through it, no salad, small portions AND the food was cold. We ended up sending the food back and asking for a refund, it was shocking. Not to mention the smell of toilets - you could smell them from our table, the place was dirty with filthy tables and the floor was an absolute mess. I don’t want to blame the waitresses as they were absolutely lovely and friendly, but the place seems to be hugely understaffed, and over promises but under delivers. Never again

Three adults had 3 meals. The pie was very small and was inedible and was sent back to the kitchen. It was no better when a new meal came back. The other 2 meals were not very good either, most of the food was cold. Jacket potato was rock hard too. We could have spent our £48 better. Will not go again.

The place was filthy, unpleasant and unfriendly. The food portions were measly and unappetising. I would not not recommend this place to anyone!

Food was rubbish, ordered a filled yorkshire pudding with mash, sausage, onion gravy and peas.. only ate the yorkie as the mash tasted like smash, sausages were gristly and cheap no taste, the onions in the gravy still had skin on, kids meal was basically a tablespoon of mash, teaspoon of beans and 3 fish fingers, wouldn’t of fed a mouse.. a year ago we rated this pub brilliant but now definitely not, overpriced and rubbish

We came in for family meal. The meals in here aren't cheap either. We had a pizza and 2 of the pie,mash and peas meals. We asked for no bacon on the pizza but got it anyway and what my son said he thought was chicken was burnt The pie and mash was disgusting. The pie was somehow burnt and dry and looked like dry dog food and the mash was hard around the edges. We know it was bad due to staff staring at us on way past but not once asking if everything was ok with our meals We got up and left as it was just awful and inedible. Will never be eating here again!!!

Spotted this pub so decided to give it a go for tea while on our day trip. Bar tenders were helpful and friendly. A kitchen member came to us saying that they were out of the sides my daughter ordered and gave her a chance to choose another. Food tasted great cooked to perfection. The actual pub was spacious and clean many places to choose to sit

Came here with my family( 2 boys and my wife) supposed to be a family friendly place. All we wanted was a few games of pool and a couple of drinks. The pool table was dirty, I mean filthy disgusting dirty, and £2.00 a game!!. The drinks, my god, extortionate price!! 1 Pepsi, 1 J20, 1 lager, 1 Cider £15.00. What a rip off. Dirty hole, avoid

Absolute terrible my little boy was on the stack and grab machine (which he put quite a bit of money in) got to the top and then u have to choose a toy, the machine grabber was broke I got the “manager” and he said u just have to keep trying, I said I will be here all night the machine is broke, he said nothing I can do, do not spend your money in the arcade because if you win a toy they won’t get it! He walked off and hid in the back and wouldn’t come back out lol proper sh*t show! And that’s a “manager” lol! Oh and don’t buy beer from the arcade bar as smells of egg and just off! Buy bottle beer but to be honest id just avoid the place altogether!

Were advised we could go to see singer and lion show at the Coast fields holiday park for free,however when we arrived they charged us £15.00!Shocking as we were lead to believe it was free.The staff mislead us so will not visit either place again.The food and drink was okay but the staff weren't trustworthy so don't ask the staff at the village pub where to take kids for free entertainment as they will tell you it's free and your kids will get in there and you will be charged 5 pounds per person and your children will want to stay,also people who arrive are not staying at coastfields can play bingo which non members are not allowed to purchase tickets for and your forced to see this to watch the singer.The food is okay but nothing special.

Where to start. The man behind the bar refused to serve us before we had sat at a table and then stood up to come straight back to the bar for whatever reason. We then made the mistake of ordering food... The food was 43 mins with 4 other tables who werent even in the pub when we ordered getting, then finishing their food and ours was nowhere in sight. So after complaining about this wait time the food came out about 7-10 mins later. The chilli wasnt too bad but was a very small portion with only lukewarm rice. The lasagne on the other hand came out with half cooked garlic bread and stone cold interior. The staff also seemed to not care what so ever which was another nail in the coffin.DON'T COME HERE, complete waste of nearly 40 quid.

4 of us went here for lunch, and 1 member of my party had a nut allergy. I very politely asked if the food had been prepared and cooked in a nut free place. The oldish guy serving was downright rude and ignorant. He said, read the menu!. I replied that I had, I had the menu tossed at me with a very nasty reply. The other younger barman went to ask and gave me a civil answer. But we decided that we would go somewhere else. This is the 3rd time I've been here and would never return for any reason, place needs to be sorted as well, the smell from the toilets was horrendous. Avoid at all costs.

Food was okay not worth the 40 minutes wait tho. The toilets look like they had not been cleaned since the night before as there was vomit in both of the cubicles. One till for ordering food on a bank holiday weekend was not good enough the queue was going out the front door just for food.

We came on Wednesday 29th March for lunch. The portion sizes are shocking for an adults meal. The picture I’ve attached is my mother in laws pie , peas and mash. Pouring her gravy before even starting it. Looks like someone had already eaten most of it to start with. Half the plate empty. The peas were in a little bowl to fill the plate. Silly idea Quality of the food was very good to be honest but sizes for the price is shocking. Wouldn’t be our first choice because of this reason. We back in June and would be reluctant to come back again. We’ve been before and never had meals this small.

Great pub serving a wide range of fantastic drinks. We had dinner and every meal was fantastic and best we have had during our stay in Skegness. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

Me and my mum recently stayed at the villager for 3 nights. The room was fantastic and very clean. We are every evening in their restaurant and couldn’t fault the service or the food. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful nothing was too much for them. They had two vocalists over two nights and the atmosphere was electric. Already booked to come again! Highly recommended love the cheeky vimto girls ❤️

3 adults 2 children, 21st to 23rd May, Villager. One of the family rooms only had a double bed, no hot water all weekend , meals were terrible, ran out of onion rings, peas & coleslaw, smell of sewerage in room toilet. Will be taking this further

I would just like say that we had a fantastic meal at the villager today. The service was great and our meals were outstanding. Thank you

Came in sat down, as per covid instructions.No one came over to greet us and give us a menu, we attracted the attention of a member of the bar staff and ordered online using the qr code on the menu, chicken a la villager, lasagne and a couple of drinks. Drinks came a short while after, then nothing after 45 minutes still nothing, so went up to the bar spoke to the bar staff who found out that they were over whelmed with orders even though the pub was only a third full and not all were ordering food.The food then arrived after an hour, the lasagne was dry and the chicken a la villager was actually a pork steak.No apologies or anything!

I ordered a steak and ale pie I got stew in a Yorkshire pudding. The meat was dry and it spoiled my enjoyment of the food. We gave this establishment a great deal of money for a shocking meals for all of us. Will not be going again.

Only good is it’s outside heated area not clean so we didn’t stay long unfortunately for us on our day trip

Sat at table qn awaited the table service it says they do, as you can't go to bar, well after sitting for 10 mins, in a very busy pub we gave up, no chance of getting drunk, you couldn't even get served, we walked out in the end without being served. Wont be returning in a hurry, now to look for somewhere to get a drink an food.

Popped in to escape the rain.was not expecting much and was happily proved wrong...amazing staff,amazing food(large servings)great value for money...cannot fault the place....if you get the chance to visit I would definitely recommend

It was terrible service from start to finish we had gone in groups of 6 then a group of 4 and a group of 3 the group of 3 enjoyed their food however 5 of the group of 6 did not enjoy their food 2 of that group only had a couple of fork fulls of food and left the rest 1 of the 6 group was left waiting for his bread and butter and went over after2 to 3 minutes to ask for his bread and butter about 5 to 10 minutes later he went back again to complain about the time he had been waiting only to face a torrent of abuse from 3 of the staff members the group of 4left his baguette and lukewarm chips i think the 1 who got the abuse is complaing direct to the villager directly as was very upset about the service we all got and the way he and my husband were spoken too

Had my wallet pinched ,by staff .got it back with no money in it apparently no manager very poor management wires crossed ,one munuet there manager then he not here .Will not recommend.

First ever visit this afternoon (6/09/20), social distancing was good inside the pub, I attended the bar to order a drink but was very disappointed with a female bar tenders attitude and poor customer relations skills, everything seemed too much trouble for her. Won’t be coming here again I’m afraid.

Customer service shocking!!!!Absolute rudeness!!!We enquiried after buying a 2pt pitcher why we only got a pint out of it to be told1 wkd and 2 shots of port makes up a 2pt pitcher!!!No thats false advertisement and under measuring You never fill it with ice till you know you have the correct measurement for 2pt£10.95 for 2 half watered down cheeky vimtos When you put ice in you don't put half a bucket of water in aswell selling watered down products is against the lawThe staff no mammers at all, Absolute dive of a pub

Waited 2 hours for food to then be served with what I would describe as dog food. Absolutely horrendous don't waste your money stay away.

Avoid if you can overpriced and food was fit for a dog thé bacon was black and looked asif it was cooked In a dirty pan staff incredibly rude and looked asif they had been smacked around the face toilets were absolutely minging smell was unbearable would have rather went in the bush and wood lice were all over the tables. This place doesn’t even deserve the one star

Placed an order of a mixed grill all meat undercooked & ploughman's salad, Only 1 cheese, no butter.

When visiting here we were a group of 3 tennagers 4 adults all of which did not enjoy the food. ( avg meal price £9.99 so not a cheap meal) when entering a notice says due to covid follow measures im place! What measures?? Hand gels at entrance are empty and when entering inside everybody was on top of each other no tables distanced. We managed to find a raised area at the back like a booth which was perfect just for our group however we did have to clean the tables ourselves with antibac wipes as they hadnt been done. Menus were the old grubby plastic ones not throw away paper ones like others have so had to clean these too. Two of us went to order and was told after ordering 2 meals were sold out. Drink prices seemed a little high £24 for 2 pints, 2 halves 3 small cokes. Would of been nice to of been able to check the charge was correct but when i asked for receipt they dont do them and there is no drink prices up. Food arrived 5 mins apart, The mince was fatty and chewey the pasta all clumped together and hard so 2 of teenagers ate the garlic bread 3/4 spoons of pasta and said they coudnt eat it as it was disqusting. 2 others had the tuna mayo baguette which is basicly Tuna with a drizzle of mayo over the top noteven enough to mix it in so it is actual tuna mayo! Both only had half due to it been awful dry and not a nice taste. Chicken on salad was cheap pizza chicken which was also hard so most left. Spoke to the Manager who was exstreamly rude, sarcastic and unproffesional, wasnt intetested and didnt care. He actually argued the point the spaghetti bolonaise was nice and he knew it was nice because he himself had cooked it that very morning and had 3 different members of staff all try it and all said it was nice. Other than the young girl taking food orders Everything about this pub is Poor 1 star is to much.

Just spent almost £50 on food and to say it was poor is a compliment, the order consisted of 3 x fish and chips a chicken and bacon baguette and a kids meal, on arrival all three fish was full of bones and the chips were dry looks like they had been fried twice over..I will definitely think twice about eating there again.

No music at the moment in the evening, friendly staff. Duke box for customers, relaxing evening out. Food looked nice, we didn't eat here on this occasion

it's a big sprawling space. like wetherspoons, its upstairs and a mile to the gents. the evening entertainment is ok, good for a laugh if you don't take it seriously. it's biggest downfall is the price of the food is getting dear. and it's nothing special. there are lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. so you think they would try to be more competitive

The pub itself is good and a great atmosphere.The real let down is the prices of beer and food. If the prices were competitive with other pubs in the area we would definitely spend more time in here. Also the quality of beer is not great. And we heard lots of other people saying the same so not just out opinion. Has real potential to be 5 stars. But sadly just 2 for us.

TERRIBLE!!! We went in for lunch when the place was quiet at the end of season too. After waiting an hour for very disappointing food I wished I had just got up and got a refund as I couldnt eat what I ordered. The tuna was stale! After asking when the food would come out we was given a story that a table of 10 ordered just before us but we was the table of 10 and we ordered 1 after the other. I had a baguette for god sake with chips that's were no better than oven chips! An hour and £9 is not good value for money. The staff are the least helpful too. I will never return to this place. I dread to think what happens when more than 2 tables are occupied at once

This pub has gone downhill from my previous visits. Visited on a Friday night, venue was pretty dead. The drinks were some of the more expensive in the area and the Theakstons (usually a cracking pint) was foul. Either massively watered down or completely off. Left the drink, left the building. Will be avoiding on our next holiday.

Superhero and princess night.. We seen signs all outside it was advertised everywhere for the 31st August they be superheros and Princess in the family bar at 7:30pm you had about 6 swinging signs with it on all outside the pub. we got a seat ordered some food (which wasn't the best) my two kids ages 3 and 5 were so excited boy who loves his superheros and girl who loves her princesses thought what a fab way to spend our last night..Entertainment was crap! Got to about 9 o'clock I asked them when the characters were coming out and the two girls who were doing the entertainment said we don't have any characters.. They pub adveriste it all the time but we don't do it. so my two children were upset and disappointed!!!It was advertised everywhere even on Facebook few hours before it should have started, for then to be told you don't even have characters.. I could see why some left early and hardly no one turned up, you have done this before so the two girls said!!

Talk about energy!!had to cross over and have a drink for half an hour,wish we had longer really,cant see what the grumbles are about,thoroughly entertaining. Who is she??

After a long walk from Skegness on Bank Holiday Sunday, well deserved drinks cider & bottled fruit cider, service was swift, took a bench on the packed out terrace, review for drinks only, it's a pub not a restaurant?

Stopped here to get out the rain for an hour. Food OK and beer was cold.. Service good and ace was clean 👍👍

Fancied a breakfast and chose this place. Big pub inside, toilets way upstairs! Two breakfasts and scrambled eggs with toast, 2 coffees. £22! Small diet coke from the bar, £2.80! Service fast and good but the breakfasts were yuk! Scrambled eggs were slop! My own fault for expecting more! Once bitten twice shy!

Way too expensive for a pub trying to be a restaurant! The entertainment is the same thing you used to see at Blackpool 30 years ago with the constant old time Elvis tributes and all the other yesteryear dreadful wanna be karaoke stars. The noise is so loud you have to shout to be hears, the WC is a marathon walk up flights of stairs and if you survive all that, outside in the front garden area is a man with a mic who loves to ridicule people walking past. in this day and age i am surprised he is still standing!!!

We were a group of 6 adults, on a butlins adults only weekend. We decided to have a walk around fantasy island and found this pub. There were entertainment on outside which was fairly good, amusing more than anything.

Today me wifey son and daughter decided to come here for food as we do every year we visit here and wow the food was just as good as last year every year it just gets better well done 10/10 be back again maybe this if not next year...... we was gutted we didn’t have time for a dresser maybe next time...

Went for lunch after walking round market and have to say it was beautiful. I ordered new York steak which was huge. Service great and lovely friendly family pub

Came here for lunch on bank holiday Sunday the place was very disappointing. The general cleanliness was awful. The were numerous tables with dirty plates piled high. The volume of the music could have woken the dead!!

Nice pub situated directly opposite fantasy island and the market. Beautiful food all freshly cooked to order.

A lovely place to have a meal at staff are very helpful and happy to be there. The meals were very nice and great valve with the two for £14 and they were a good size not just a child's type portion will come here again

We visit Skegness very often and ingoldmells market. This is however the first time we have been in the villager pub for food or drink.

Refused a glass of milk by bar staff. Had to cancel entire meal order before eventually being allowed to buy a glass of milk.

Called in for a drink whilst on a day out to ingoldmels, thought it was a little expensive but we were sat outside with the dogs & was pleasant enough.

We went last oct as we go there when we go to my mates caravan we had steak which was cooked just how I like it very reasonably priced staff very good nice and freindly was about twenty minute wait time but was very busy will deffinately be going back

Visited here for a meal on a rainy Saturday. Was very busy, but we managed to get a table. Slightly strange way to go about ordering but you go to one desk for food, which we had to queue for ages to order. Pick up cutlery, condiments and describe where you are seated, then queue (again for an age) to purchase drinks at the bar. Finally back to the table to wait for our order. The seating is quite cramped, lots of tables squeezed in and with various feral children running around it feels a little crowded. Didn’t see any tables get wiped over the whole time we were there and the floor is sticky! Can’t fault the food once it arrived, hot, good sized portions and good quality. Wouldn’t eat here again though, nice food but poor set up.

Went here earlier for lunch :) was beautiful food I had the steak and ale pie and my husband had the mixed grill which he couldn’t eat fully as the portions were huge! Not a bad thing! Very nice atmosphere but if u head out for lunch expect the possibility of screaming children... if you want a more peaceful scene go in the evening for drinks.... only negatives I can give is all places in ingoldmells shut too early to have supper and this pub had a fly issue other then that couldn’t fault it! :)

Food was nice but the barman was unacceptably flirty. Theres being friendly/polite and then theres this barman. Me and my friend both found this too much and will not be returning!

Me and my wife and 14 year old son and my 81 year old mum popped in for a drink on Saturday 29th September, my mum grumbled dont like Blondie but was the loudest in the pub all night singing along to all the songs and the wife was up dancing most the night. My son who is 14 has autism and it made his night when the singer had her photo with him as he loves 80;s music. All the staff were very friendly and hard working. The pub had a nice feel to it and we will be back soon

Went to this pub on 22nd, saw that the Jersey Boys tribute act was on! I have never seen anything like it... it was one old bloke prancing around on stage MIMING to 60’s music (a few jersey boys songs). I’m not being funny but a live tribute act should surely sing live !! I felt embarrassed for the chap, it was the worst and most shocking entertainment I have ever witnessed!

Were been here a few times and decided to come bk knowing how good the food is, and wow we wasn’t disappointed. The food taste good and the chef come out and ask if the food was ok. I can’t complain at all. He even give my son free icecream nice touch. I really haven’t got a bad word To say about this place. Look at the photos for the food choice we had. We will be returning for sure thank you

This is a lively friendly pub. Entertainment every night and children welcome. Food is served daily and is of a good quality with reasonable prices. It could be a little cleaner. If it was it would have had 5 stars.

Haven’t been in about 3 years so decided to give it another go,still the same the place is filthy,glasses and food everywhere staff only come out to clean it at closing time,the entertainment was awful I know it’s free and we shouldn’t complain but they had a little mix act one and not one of them knew what to do all kept staring at each other and then the prices of drinks!they say they are in line with other place they are not £19.37 for 2 fruit shoots a cider and 2 pints!all the sweets are expensive they sell 1p sweets for 3/4p!

We went to this pub because of great reviews on trip advisor and we were so glad we did. There is a big selection of meals deals in the evening.The four of us had a different meal and we were all really happy with the high quality of the food.The place itself is very impressive, it’s huge, has its own arcade and a stage and there is entertainment every night. I noticed Lee Evans is performing there soon

Brilliant pub right on the Main Street of fantasy island. Always got music on and the food is decent.

Good food but so so so slow at delivering it. Venue fairly quiet so no excuse. Later arriving customers received food long before us. Not sure we will go back. Signs outside suggest two main meals for £14. However, not totally accurate. Special list of meals for £14 included quarter chicken and chips.!? Main menu not included in the deal. Not very honest!!!

Went in for a chubby brown tribute night .but when we went to order food at bar we were told sorry we've been let down so there is no food available.

Just ate here , spag bol ... homemade and delicious. Fish pie also homemade and delicious.

We first ate in the villager pub a few years ago and it didn't leave any lasting impressions other than it was close to the theme park rides. We took the kids to the theme park at Ingoldmells at the weekend and the choices of food in the themepark consisted of mainly burgers and fried food! so we started looking elsewhere.

I took my daughter for dinner here...and oh my god!!! The steak was cooked to how we asked for it and it was beautiful. I just struggled to eat it all. Excellent service, friendly staff and great prices. Definitely eat here again as the food is spectacular

My wife and I have just returned from a week in Ingoldmells with 2 other couples.For our last night we decided on the Villager which was directly opposite our caravan site. We were tempted by the 2 meals for £14 deal and were pleasantly surprised by the number of choices available. All 6 meals were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection.The customer service was above and beyond and the whole dining experience was brilliant.

We stumbled across this little pub when going for a stroll with around Ingoldmells. The beer garden was a sun trap the DJ was hilarious and staff were friendly. We got some chips from here also. Portions were big.

Myself and friends visited this Sunday for a carvery. We did find in the beginning, the staff a little disorganised because it was a lengthy wait at the bar to get drinks then were told that we had to order our food separately from the carvery counter. Not good when you are starving and suffering from a hangover. But the the wait was worth it even though it took a further 10 minutes to get service at the carvery counter. The food was amazing. Meat was gorgeous and were able to have a bit of all the meats which was some freshly cooked beef, pork, gammon and turkey. Lots of different veg, stuffing, Yorkshire puds and gravy. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. Was delicious. Staff very friendly and it was lovely that we were able to get extra gravy in a jug also. Would definitely recommend. They even had horseradish sauce which is a must with beef and not to be charged extra was good because paying £9.95 each then you wouldn't expect to be charged extra.

We have had 2 meals at the villager 2 nights running and the food was perfect very tasty and really good portion sizes. The staff are so friendly and willing to help any way they can and with the added bonus of them being dog friendly it is the perfect place to eat!

Visited here with my daughters. The portions are very large , so make sure you go when hungry. The prices are a bit dearer than other in the local area, but only by about £2 or so. I would return

Clean inside plenty of tables inside and out. Great food plenty of options and meals @ 2 for £14. Friendly staff only down side is the positioning of the stage inside for the entertainment. Not enough room around the stage causes a bottle neck with...

Came here for lunch today. The food was very nice and portions were bigger than average however we couldn’t eat it all and would rather have spent less money for the right amount of food. £9.95 for a baguette and chips. The staff were friendly and our little one was welcomed with high chair provided, although we did have to wipe this down before using it. The music was on fairly loud so don’t expect a quiet lunchtime meal. There was a mixture of folk from lone drinkers, groups out for a few beers and families eating meals. Overall it was fine and the food hygiene was a grade 5. Carvery looked nice although we didn’t order it.

Good food the staff are friendly and polite my only complaint is would suggest use the other room as the stage is bigger in there and more room

Great shows , we watched the "Elvis " trbute show which was excellent ,we are Elvis fans !!! food was plentiful, reasonably priced and we didnt have to wait too long even though it was very busy

Visited villager pub today , Food was beautiful, and fantastic friendly service , will definitely go again .

Tables cluttered with glasses and food on the tables and floors toilet were not that much better one was blocked, drinks are over priced, thanks but no thanks.

We thought we would pop in for a drink here for a change and wish we hadn’t , drinks overpriced for the area and entertainment is just chucked together in family room , also they had a chubby brown act on in main bar and...

It's ok in the summer when you can sit outside.devent live music apart from the lady gaga tribute who was dreadful. Drinks are expensive and I would not recommend the food.well overpriced.theres much better pubs if you go up towards the beach

Sorry but this is one pub I wish me and my family had never discovered, its dirty tables are not kept clean and the staff are rude when complaining about food, please avoid at all costs and no doubt management will argue my review after reading a few so far but I can honestly say this is my honest review, more for people on the lash then for familys never again was actually disgusted with the whole thing!

Expensive drinks and food that was just warm. Very disappointing seeing that a number of people recommend this place, but I suppose you learn from your mistakes

Called in on the last weekend of the season. Ordered food which was very good. But when it came to having a drink £4.40 a pint my God I thought I was in London. For a place so far away from London how on earth can they charge that much I'll never know. Its the same in scallywags and their adjoining bar.we found cheaper places else where so won't be going back to either bars.

The villager pub has some good entertainment aswell as pub food and great place for a drink. Enjoyed my last visit there and there was a good atmosphere.

We dread taking my husband to any restraurant, he is a nightmare. Always complains and we can never go back twice anywhere. However, we ordered 2 beef carvery meals, a chicken korma, gammon and a rump steak. It was gone 5 on 1st October so low season. The meal was delivered well presented and a reasonable time wait. Hubby tucked in, we were waiting, we ate ours, he ate his. Next thing his plate is empty. He loved every morsel of it. It has got to be a first. We thought this cannot be grumpy grandad sat here and checked the back of his neck to be sure. Nope it was not an imposter. He really liked his meal. AND we ordered puddings and he enjoyed all that too. He liked the venue, he wants to come back and eat again, he wants to see Lee Evans next summer. The place is 5 star.

Great location, busy pub, good choice of drinks, food good but pricey, slightly cramped outdoor seating area, lots going on in the evening, family friendly, pool table no cue or white ball deposit. good service

Return visit to a favourite location of my late husband. Love the flat coastline for walking. The regular buses and the bus fares are really good. The choice of food outlets are plentiful. Entertainment venues are well kept.

Went in to have a drink and a meal.got drink but didn't stay for meal .a yapping dog going for every one who walked near it..went for my friends foot as she went bar..she told them it should be muzzled..we drank our drink and went pie palace for the meal.

Visited for the first time with family for a lunchtime meal. Really enjoyed the food and would eat here again. Nice ambience with music but it wasn't too overpowering - just right. Bit of a strange ordering system though, have to order food and drink from separate tills which is a bit awkward having to queue twice. There are also no table numbers - you have to kind of describe where you are sitting which was a bit tricky when it was our first visit. Staff weren't rude but have definitely been served by friendlier staff members in other pubs of a similar nature. As said, we would eat here again but I feel there is some room for improvement.

Visited a few times over the years as a stop gap during a day out locally. This time we tried the 2 for £14 menu, the portions were really good & the food was good for your standard pub fayre. Charged quite expensively for a portion for a baby however and the menu outside of the daily deal is very expensive so was cheaper to get another childs meal on the deal price but then alot of waste.

The lighting was poor when trying to read menu The food was good and plentiful but very loud music bit much when trying to chat the night we went the rock icons was awful and a member of audience got up to sing even worse !!! Just stick to the excellent food and forget entertainment

Decent pub, very clean. Night time entertainment was good and beer was well priced. Daytime food was disappointing and toilet upstairs not very useful with a new born

Called in other nite with my mrs to see a tribute act , lovely pint fantastic atmospheres all round pleasant evning . Warm up act before the show was better then the comedian ! Defiantly visit again

Previously i had raved about this place but not any more called in one night i had pint none premium.lager pint cider reg coke wnd 2 small slushies with couple pence change out of 16 pounds thats a rip of and an absolute discrace....shame on you will never return
