Went there last year and staff food and drink were really good and the place clean so visited again this year what a difference place dirty tables not cleared a couple of the staff upstairs acted like they couldn't be bothered to serve you and the food was awful we left most of it as looking around the tables quite a few people felt the same .so we never went back for the rest of our holiday .

Holiday weekend and it was packed, not a place for a quiet, relaxed lunch ! Bar and food service was very good considering how busy it was. We ordered 9 meals and all were delivered together. Overall a very good pub grub bar.

Where do I even start...we entered the building and the place was like a bomb site, some empty tables but all of which were filthy or had people's used glasses and plates on them, nobody was clearing up. After finding a table and cleaning it ourselves. We decided to go and order a carvery for four of us but after seeing the carvery food whilst joining the 20 minute queue for the bar, decided against it and ordered fish and chips for us all. The carvery food looked awful. The meats were dried up and the only vegetables there were carrots and cabbage (the cabbage was going brown). After finally ordering, we couldn't help but just sit and observe what was going on around us. Food being taken to all tables because the staff didn't know which tables had ordered what, customers sending food back because it was cold or wrong - staff then sticking their fingers in the food to check the temperature and then warming it up in a microwave before delivering the same food they'd just stuck their fingers in back to the table. Staff behind the counter clearing plates and literally throwing cutlery in to a bucket and throwing plates on to a pile making a complete racket. Upon noticing other people's drinks, we decided to ask a member of staff if we had large soft drinks like we'd asked for (our glasses seemed smaller) to which she said they were small but we'd have to sort that at the bar - the queue was still huge so we didn't bother. But either way £4.50 for a coke that wasn't even real coke or pepsi was extortionate, even if it had been a large. Whilst observing the chaos around us, we waited, and we waited, and we waited some more for our food (during which time multiple plates of food were just sat under heat lamps or in the dumbwaiter from downstairs, just going cold and dried up. Eventually our food did turn up, the fish was overcooked and hard, the chips were cold, the mushy peas (which they charge £2 extra for!!) were cold. We were that hungry we just put up with it, I mean what would've been the point of complaining, the staff didn't seem to know what was going on anyway - they were either too busy standing around having a natter or arguing over plates of food that had been sent back. The management need to seriously reconsider what they're doing with this place. If you can't manage you workload then stop offering so much. Cut the menu back? Ditch the carvery? Just do something because your establishment is absolutely appalling and your food is rubbish. Find something you can do well and stick to it. Also, maybe consider offering your staff some training, basic food hygiene would be a good start. I will never, ever return to this place, it's a complete dive.

Where do I even start? If disappointment had a physical form, it would be this restaurant. I came in hungry and left with trust issues. The chips? A disgrace. Cold, bland, undercooked, and soggy—like they'd been sitting in a puddle of regret before being dumped on my plate. I've had better fries from the bottom of a freezer bag. The steak was somehow both cold and overcooked. Impressive, really, to destroy a piece of meat in every possible way. It had the flavor and texture of an old boot that had been left out in the rain. The peppercorn sauce was somehow too peppercorny—like someone knocked the whole spice rack in and just hoped for the best. Every bite was a punch in the mouth, and not in a good way. And to wash it all down? A Pepsi that was so flat it might as well have been still water with a brown crayon dipped in it. If carbonation had a funeral, it was held in my glass. Do yourself a favor: avoid this place like a traffic jam on a Monday morning.

Well , 20/03//025 and we look out if the window. The sky is blue and the sun is shining. “I know , shall we go to Skeggy for the day.” Yes , and off we go. We are there and had a good walk around . Loads of people around and beautiful weather for this time of year. We have built up a good appetite walking around , but don’t fancy chips. We spotted Marine Boat House and noticed that an every day carvery is available. That will do nicely. In we go , and the young lady at the bar was really friendly and helpful. My wife is vegetarian and discussed this and agreed a meatless carvery with extra Yorkshire pudding and veg would fit the bill. The meal was hot and tasty, my pork was as good I have tasted. Plenty if self serve vegetables available, all well cooked . A really enjoyable experience, smashing staff , and a couple of pints of really good Batemans ale. A decent Chardonnay for the wife. This will now be our lunchtime go to on our Skeggy trips. Well done.

I ordered a sirloin steak, we waited for over half an hour (expected if it's cooked fresh) I was given a cold steak, chips that looked like they were from the chip shop over the road! I gave my meal back to be amended, I was given the same plate back with the same food on, I thought ok, they've probably just heated it up, but no! It was still stone cold! So I gave the meal back and asked for a refund. I wouldn't eat here again...zero stars from me unfortunately

We ordered 2 large breakfasts, not to long of a wait and we had the breakfast. The sausages were going hard on one side which indicated they had been cooked and hot held. The hash browns were dry, mushrooms were stone cold, as were the beans and tomatos on my partners. The bacon had been folded over and was still raw where it had folded and white fat gathered on the bacon. Never been served a worst breakfast. Wouldn't recommend at all. The carvery was basic with a small choice of veg. £4.80 for a glass of coke. Service was rubbish with the meals coming in three stages table not cleared. A generous two to be honest, the wait time from ordering was hideous to be served with substandard food as a result was disappointing! We ordered mushy peas as an upgrade on the fish and chips as advertised to be given garden peas and told they don’t sell mushy peas even though they charged an extra £1.50 for them?! £70 for 5 people for lunchtime ‘lightbites’. When queried the staff were unapologetic and couldn’t care less. I would avoid bothering with this place there are plenty more around far superior.

Visited here yesterday whilst on holiday but unfortunately not very impressed with the hygiene at all. The girl serving on the till looked so ill she really should not have been working! She was coughing everywhere, then handling our drinks and no apology or cleaning her hands what so ever. I later saw her serving up ice-cream and handling food which is even worse. Absolutely shocking behaviour that this employee is being permitted to work around food & drink when she clearly has a cold/covid/flu. If you are in the area this week avoid!!! The guy serving on the bar wasn't much better either, he was also coughing and spluttering everywhere. Absolutely disgusting. As for the carvery, this is very misleading. Prices outside say from '£5.50' but no prices on the menu inside. Turns out its actually £10 per person and its very mediocre. Only 1 choice of meat and the potatoes were dry and hard and watery gravy. No one serving for ages either so lots of standing waiting around. I will say the pork, stuffing and Yorkshire puddings were nice, but as for the rest of it and the value for money its very poor. Defintely would not visit again, their lack of consideration for customers health is extremely off putting. I have contacted them privately to voice concerns.

We have been coming to Butlin’s for years as a family, we’ve always visited this venue when we come. We’ve never had a problem with it, however this year we have visited and unfortantly we were very dissapointed, the food price compare to what you get is shocking I don’t know if prices has changed but the quality hasn’t got any better for the price. We had 2 young children and had to buy 1 adult breakfast for £6.50 because they didn’t have a kids option then we had to pay £3.75 for 1 sausage 1 egg and 1 peice of bacon for our other picky child. The pop was very over priced £4.60 for 1 glass of Pepsi, which didn’t taste the best. We then had to pay separate for our toast for our breakfast which was 1.50 for 2 slices meaning we had payed around £45 for our small family, we know prices has gone up and we don’t mind paying however it was dissapointing to know that the breakfast we had bought called ‘the big breakfast ‘ for £8.99 we then had to pay an extra £1.50 on top for the toast! I just think they need to rethink the prices… Maybe add a kids small plate ? Also include toast with the big breakfast ? Also the tea pots are tiny! was a half cup of tea. Staff were lovely and it was really clean just dissapointed about the food/menu.

I took my mum here last Friday (20th September) for an end of holiday treat on me. Sadly the experience was awful. The two young staff were too busy serving drinks. When we did get served the beef hadn't been cooked through properly (my mother wouldn't eat it), sadly I did and suffered for it the following morning. The roast potatoes were over done to the point of nothing inside them. My poor mother, I won't be taking her to this place again. Thankfully a local chef put us on to another place in Skegness. So next year we will have a place to eat a proper lunch. Andrew

Everytime I come on holiday to Skegness the Marine Boat House was one my favourite places to go to for the carvery. However I visited the place last week in September 2024 while on holiday and it's really gone downhill. The staff just seemed rude and lacked any kind of customer service skills. I didn't appreciate one of the staff members who seemed to have bad cough that was coughing all over the carvery. A lot of the tables hadn't been cleaned either with plates and glasses just left on them. As for the carvery the meat was fine but it lacked choice in veg. Alright carvery, nowhere near enough selection. Would’ve liked mash at the bare minimum. No turkey either so I had the pork but that was lovely to be fair. Great atmosphere and friendly staff but I would be lying if I said I was satisfied after my meal.

Absolutely shocking!!!!! We went for a Sunday dinner as we were all hungry and ready to eat. We went to the top floor and ordered. The options were very limited!! No veg just carrots that were really dry, meat wasn’t greatly cooked, the beef was far too salty. The roast potato’s were so dry. Another thing was the tables are far too close together so couldn’t pull chair out much to sit down. The only thing I enjoyed was the large Pepsi max!! I will definitely not be returning or recommending it to anyone!!!

Very nice fish and chips. Fish was juicy, tasty and crispy on the outside. The portion was large, prices are affordable. The only downside was the waiting time. I may try the roast next time.

Nice pub in the Centre of Skegness. Good disabled access with a lift to all floors. The place was clean and the staff were welcoming. £4.20 for a bottle of corona. It had plenty of seats available when I visited. It looks like they have entertainment in the evening but can’t confirm as I visited in the daytime. Nice atmosphere and pleasant surroundings. I did pop in to see when MC Wratey was next playing as he’s someone I’ve always wanted to see.

I do not recommend the restaurant, I waited 45 minutes for fish and chips, and finally I asked to return my money. The employees were moving very slowly and seemed bothered when I placed the order, plus the juice and beer glasses didn't seem to be cleaned. So I don't recommend it

Awful drinks, this place has benches and tables along the front which cannot be used unless you purchase so we went for coffee - they do not serve decaf! A coffee place without decaf in 2024! Hot coffee and coffee was £5.80, they had no lids, no extras offered on the hot chocolate. Go along the parade to Butlins for a lovely hot choc, with extras for less and benches a plenty with a friendly service plus you even get a biscuit. Bibby's felt unwelcoming, poor on service and customer needs. Only the front counter looked open and the prices were insane for a coastal basic snack bar. Not going back, there was horrible grain in the bottom of the cup which didn't even look like chocolate 😕 I threw it away and went to sit on the wall. Needs to up its game for 2025 and be appealing as the competition is much better.

Nice place for kids and adults. Bingo every day and night. Arcades for the kids and a food stall outside but you can take it inside to eat

Really good food. Well presented and the staff are attentive. All I can suggest as criticism is the £4 charge for peppercorn sauce. It at the very least could be £2 given its components other than that, clean atmosphere and ideal location.
