Been visiting here less frequently. Can’t believe some of the prices. You’d be better off shopping at Sainsbury’s. Eg an Asda own brand pizza has permanently risen from £2 to £3.25 the past few months. And good luck finding a basket to put your shopping in, always have to go search the store for one, and when I can’t find one and don’t have change for the trolley I end up going to Sainsbury’s anyway

The customer service provided was severely lacking in efficiency. I was made to wait an unreasonable amount of time, along with my pregnant wife and young child, simply to inquire about the availability of a child car booster seat. After an extended wait of 30 minutes, I was informed that the product would not be available until later that evening, despite its online status indicating in-store availability.

I was a common customer but I came to Asda west Bridgford tonight got all the stuff I needed in the trolly and get to checkouts and they had no bags and the women who said that had a very smug look on her face. This isn’t the first time but luckily I had a car last time. This time I had my very little brother with me and walked all the way there and walked all the way back with nothing. This is horrendous, in future I’ll shop else where.

My family have been using this store since I was a lad. I'm now 57 and I've noticed a significant decline over the years. I would say like many other businesses today, squeezing as much profit out of the customer is their main objective and is definitely not giving customers a great service...even though they'd argue different! To reiterate this, I turned up around midnight last week to find the 24 hour store I use on a regular basis, closed! It may be true that I walk around with blinkers on but I can assure whoever it may concern that I didn't know the store was closing overnight for a period and I still don't know how long this is going to go on for? Once again, this would never have happened back when customer satisfaction was a company like Asda's prime concern!

Absolute dive, clearly the new owners the essar brothers take pride in their new venture, filthy outsids, stores a dump inside and then to round it off you have to queue with all the other idiots that forgot aldi, lidl or any other supermarket exist to then self scan a trolley full of overpriced low quality stuff. Do yourself a favor and avoid like the plague, even in a zombie apocalypse with no other option, death is preferable to shopping here.

Staff are too busy socialising to care causing queues at the tills. Asked for help to the in one on the right in my picture, was too busy to attend. Then I asked a chap at the basket checkout in the next section, he was helpful, but frustrated at his colleagues. The the one on the left managed to, with a grumpy face, peel herself away from the socialising to help me, abruptly tilled an item in, then went straight back to socialising! Totally unacceptable, but a theme across Asda in the East Mids generally, but this one took the biscuit.

Click and collect is terrible. The kiosk is hidden behind the drop off bin so you can't see it when you walk in. When you scan your code it says to wait there, but with no indication that anybody has been alerted or how long it might take. After 15-20 minutes someone eventually comes out an unmarked door and looks around blankly with a grey bag in their hand. The door is the opposite side of the foyer to the kiosk, so if you don't notice thats happened and they go back inside, you'd never know you'd missed your chance. The process is so fractured, as a customer I'd avoid using click and collect at asda where possible. Go elsewhere. Asda, have a think about how you can make this better please.

Terrible store nowadays, shelves half empty, price tickets on shelves missing or in the wrong place, queues down the aisles to get through the checkouts, and while staff wander about the store, there are many checkouts unstaffed. The management here need to get a grip fast before everyone goes to Aldi and Lidl. Just to top off the bad experience we were charged full price for garden ornaments that were reduced. COME ON, OPEN SOME CHECKOUTS LIKE YOUR COMPETITORS DO. You say you are keen to give good customer service, but obviously don't know how to, shame, it used to be a good store. UPDATE thankyou for the reply, but it is not the customers job to ask staff to open checkouts, it is the job of management. We are already expected to do Asdas job at self checkouts, (which I hate), we are not doing the store managers job as well, he gets paid to do that, and he/she isn't much good at it apparently.

I've just abandoned a trolley full of groceries because the queue for the one open checkout was so long that there was no prospect of paying for them before I needed to leave. Checkout queues have been an issue in this store for several years, and everybody working there knows it. It's ironic because there are plenty of staff in the store, mostly standing around chatting amongst themselves (and invariably wearing face masks to dissuade customers from trying to talk to them). So I hope Asda won't insult my intelligence by commenting that my feedback will be taken on board by the management. We both know this won't happen, and that Asda have no intention of recruiting any more checkout staff.

I have been using Asda West Bridgford for a five years now and I am basing my review on my long term experiences. A big plus is the choice. The West Bridgford site is huge with two floors. A very big plus for me is the option of scanning on provided handsets as you walk round to save time checking out. However at busy times they are all drained flat of power. I think there is enough demand to increase the number of handsets. I have tried using my mobile phone to do the scanning a few times but it is frustrating and ineffective. Others can chose the traditional self scan checkout and manned checkouts but they are to slow for or problematic for my taste. The car park is large so no problem parking. I have found recently more frequently completely bare shelves of popular products. The shelves don’t seem to be getting restocked as regularly anymore. A big downside recently has been moving things round. This is a big inconvenience. I now have to spend more time searching for things that used to be in the same spot for years. A few times I have now left without items I used to have no difficulty finding. Even after quite a few months everything seems random and hard to find. I have heard other customers get frustrated by the new layout – even months after the reorganization. For this reason I have started to drift to Wilford’s Aldi. They have less choice and less parking space but I can find things quicker. No supermarket is perfect but now when time is an issue or it is a busy period Asda is not the place to go.

A gang of around seven motorcyclists were hanging around in the carpark last night, not far from the entrance to the store. They were revving up their engines, making such a racket, riding around the carpark at high speeds, on and off, for an hour or more. It was even witnessed by two uniformed policewomen who were in the carpark, returning to their car after buying stuff from the supermarket. They obviously didn't want to get involved in the antisocial behavior, so they drove off. I moved my car to another spot because I didn't feel safe.

This branch is not really geared up to handle 24 hour shopping. I had to leave over £100 worth of groceries at the self-service check out, which was totally unstaffed. I had no option, the conveyor belt check-out had all stopped. At 1:00am the store is pretty much unmanned, other than one lazy guy, looking like he'd rather be at home. He saw the difficulty I was experiencing with the terminal repeated saying that it didn't recognise the item, item after item. I did get some help from the security guy who left his post to search for assistance for me, but the person who appeared only stuck around for one scanned item, so it wasn't long before I was stuck again. By this time I was beginning to worry about my refrigerated stuff as I live a distance away in Beeston. I was at my wits end so I decided to take the advice of my boyfriend and leave without anything.

I felt like I did something wrong by shopping on Sunday. And it is now 4:10 pm and there are people still leaving the shop. So I don't get it .

Massive - if you can’t find what you need in here then wow! Car park well sized and store is perfectly clean and efficient. A good experience overall.

I understand that Asda may be short staffed but absolute shambles today. No staff upstairs and stuff everywhere. Hardly any checkout staff and long queues. Not busy with shoppers though.

We didn't have one good thing to say about our visit on Sunday. What little food they had left was rubbish and the place was very messy. Which wasn't a surprise as the lovely lady behind the counter was doing everything on her own. A completely impossible task to serve, cook and clean! It's a real shame as we live locally and would have used the cafe regularly.

Never any baskets by the entrance, fat lazy customer service women constantly socialising rather than working. When you ask for a basket you're told to go and find one

Big thank you to Asda staff for sorting out the petrol station situation we've had these past few days. Today, 28th September staff directed shoppers and those after fuel. Getting in and out the parking or forecourt was much easier and the £30 limit on fuel is in place. The staff outside were brilliant. Very helpful and polite.

I’ve just ordered a cook breakfast that was served toast without butter had to visit the till to then be told they had ran out of sachets - so past 3 hard chunks of frozen butter in a small pot. Got to the black pudding served raw and semi frozen 🤢 The young guy behind the counter very polite and friendly but the other staff could learn to smile more. Sadly, I won’t be returning came in today after awful surgery and first day out since my operations.

Laurence Henry is now Chef Patron of The Martin’s Arms located on School lane,Colston Basset. We have followed his career since he was at Sat Bains and won Master Chef the Professionals in 2018. It's been a year since he slipped off the radar. As soon an opening date was announced we booked. We were practically the first through the door for lunch. The menu is not quite your typical pub grub. It has the classics and something a bit different. We chose a couple of snacks. The Venison Scotch egg and we had to try the KFP. Kentucky fried pheasant with pine & thyme. A Poached pear Waldorf starter. Spiced port, Colston Basset Stilton, candied walnuts & endive. For mains, a true pub classic Cumberland Sausage, served with Mashed potato, seasonal greens & onion gravy. Nice tasty sausage with a lovely flavoursome gravy. Line caught cod. Creamy mash potato, Sweetcorn 'chowder` with clams, cockles & smoked mussels. A large peice of cod cooked to perfection. We wish Laurence and wife Sera every success and shall return with our doggies to see if they approve too.
