Recently taken over. Called in on a Saturday lunchtime. Wasn't particularly busy. Staff were very friendly and service was great. We only had a drink. The place was spotlessly clean. Will be a real asset to the area. Great outdoor area too

Lovely welcome from the bar manager and land lady as we walk in. The lounge bar and toilets were very clean. As the current land lady had on just took over the running of the pub, there was no ales on offers. This is something that she is looking to get sorted in the not too distant future. Defo put this place on your list of pubs to visit when in the area. Good luck, Three Horseshoe's, see you again sometime!!

Very, very friendly restautant!

We was stopping locally for the weekend nearby so decided this was the place we fancied to eat and have a drink. We was not disappointed the food was fantastic and the drinks we're chilled. Staff was absolutely amazing service was top notch would definitely recommend visiting as we will again when in the area.

Waited 15 mins to be served a shandy..... 1 table in and a madman with a wild dog that nearly had me and barked a lot...... So I left with nothing....

Amazing since the new landlord and manager have been here! Live entertainment, events for the children. Bringing this community back together!

Welcomed by lovely friendly staff, very varied menu. Did not have to wait long for piping hot food, and plenty of it. Managed to find room for a pudding. The Eton Mess was delicious. Everyone really enjoyed the meal and will definitely be back soon. I was amazed for the amount of food it was great value for money.

Called in today after walking in the area. A very warm welcome. Meals were lovely. Will definitely call again and also recommend to friends.

Fast service and we enjoyed the Sunday Roast. Unrushed and friendly staff.

Visited on our way back from the Farm Park nearby. Ordered items from the grill as it was steak night. Very good prices considering it’s 2023. Food quality was good for what we’d paid. Kids meals were also a decent price and quantity too. Nice selection of drinks to choose from and nice and cool inside.

Great pub! First visit.. good value food which was tasty, fresh and off a decent menu... few beers off but the Amstel was nice.. could do with a golden Real ale on tap but that's just me.. Doom bar or Timothy Tayler available.

Welcomed by very kind polite and helpful staff. We Ordered our dinner and within 10-15 mins it was on the table. And well the portions was massive. The food was hot throughout and tasted delicious. 100% recommend and ill be going back.

First time visiting today and it will be our last… first impressions were that the place could do with a good clean. We were greeted by two big hand prints on the mirror as you walk in. We walked past the coffee machine which looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. We ordered two pints which cost £11.20! We sat down and noticed immediately the chairs were covered in crumbs and dog hair. The floor needed a good vacuum and mop. We went at lunch time, so there was no way it had been cleaned the night before / that morning. We were going to stop for lunch but the cleanliness put us off. We went to the toilet on the way out and they were just as bad. The toilet was dirty and stained, with the top coming away. The sink wasn’t even attached. Soap dispensers need replacing and make sure to go to the toilet in twos, you’ll need the other person to push the tap for you on the one sink the water actually works. Cleanliness is basics…

Nice local pub with a good pub grub menu

Regularly come here for the Sunday roasts and they are always top notch. Good quality food and great value at £12.99 for premium option (3 different meats and generous portion) pub needs a bit of TLC but I would recommend giving it a go.

Called in for a quick drink but we broke down with the car. While awaiting recovery we had no choice but to have a meal, well we did have a choice actually, but had a great meal. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the pub is bright and clean. Will definitely go again.

If you want a traditional pub this is it. Guiness and Director's the best around the area. Food wonderful and traditional with home made desserts. Shouldn't indulge but they are yummy!! Only place that gives you enough custard too. Love it

First time visit, doom bar was good, service good, plenty of seats outside, dog bowl was refilled for our dog. Enjoyed our visit.

Visited for a drink with the family and there were a very loud group of people at the bar being very aggressive and shouting at each other, using extremely vulgar language. Staff carried on serving them drinks and laughing with them. A couple of them kept walking around behind the bar and being a nuisance to other people having a drink. Ended up leaving in the end. Absolutely disgraceful. Such a shame as we have visited here a few times in the past and always been looked after well but this has put me off ever visiting again.

Excellent parking facilities.went with my 2 children they ate everything and wanted more,not many places they have said that about.The staff were really friendly and helpful,felt like they cared for the family's,there's a lovely little Brook just outside they explored while waiting with little fish in.All in all I would give it a 10 out of 10,and recommend anyone to pay a visit

My partner and I were at your pub this evening for a drink. Whilst we were there, one of your customers made a number of racist comments regarding quiz questions about “blacks” and “black athletes”. This was absolutely disgusting and I did not hear nor observe any of your staff members challenging this. It looked as if he was still being served. It is disappointing that nothing was said in response to these comments as they were clearly in earshot of the staff working. My partner is black and we were so shocked and unsettled at this that we left prematurely. I have come to the decision that I will no longer be frequenting the pub after this racist behaviour was allowed which is a shame as I have always had a good time previously.I sent this information via Facebook on Sunday evening and although it is obvious that it has been reviewed, I have had no response.

Booked in advance at short notice for Sunday lunch on 20 Sept, when our original pub booking was cancelled due to no chef! We had a drink at the outside tables before our booking. The eating area is pleasant and clean with tables well spaced apart. Very good choice on the menu, including Sunday roasts. Our food was tasty, served nice and hot and in good portions. The service was friendly and efficient. The toilets were clean. And the bill was reasonable. They are offering 25% off meals Mondays to Wednesdays at the moment. Thank you for taking care of us during these challenging times, well done - an overall enjoyable experience.

During these Covid -19 times. I have to say the toilets during our visit on the 20th August 2020 were discusitng (Guys during these Covid - 19 times you must surely realise the importance of having clean toilets) (Dust, cobwebs, black marks all over the doors and no handsanitiser or soap) and the ladies were the same.

Went for a family meal and I can truly say the food was delicious. Didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks. Hand sanitizer at the front and rear doors,one way system and social distancing. Table service at all times and was asked to do track and trace. So as far as I can see all Covid 19 measures are being adhered to. Staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The landlord and landlady are very welcoming and make you feel like one of the regulars. READING SOME OF THESE PREVIOUS REVIEWS MAKES ME WONDER IF WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME PUB!

Called in for a cool drink and something to eat.Had a B.B.Q. Chicken with chilli jam baguette.It came with a small salad with dressing.We said it was excellent, very tasty.Compliments to the chef.Excellent value as it was Wednesday so on the Eat out to help out scheme.

I was looking forward to going after new owners took over earlier this year, i'm sad to say a lovely place is ran very badly. Beer was good, that was it. Service was awful, waited ages to be served yet others arriving later got served 10 mins before usDidn't have food that was advertised & when it arrived we only managed to eat half it was terrible. Tasteless, dry, not well presented.People were arriving to sit down & the tables were disinfected after they sat down! We wont be going again

The food and service is absolutely shocking. The food is tasteless and some of my parties meals were cold when they arrived. Also had to wait ages to get our drinks. Staff are rude.

If I could give this place no stars I would.Went here recently and not only does it feel unsafe but the food is terrible. My friend had the chicken goujons and came away with food poisoning. The landlord is unhelpful and rude. In all honestly the whole place needs knocking down and starting again.

Newly refurbished...happy staff worth a visit

Had a lovely visit here this week with the family. First time out together since lockdown. Lost of new norm social distancing posters, hand sanitiser etc. Food was good and we enjoyed the table service. Would recommend.

Well what can I say. theres absolutely no social distancing in the place, no PPE for staff or customers. hand sanitizer is no where to be seen, no gloves or masks when there serving you food or drinks. people are crowding st the bar. the staff arnt taking any IDs or checking temperatures and really have no care for public safety.the toilets are a state with no social distancing measures In place what so ever.they are happy to sever as many drinks as they want disregarding the 2 drink rule, it wouldnt be so bad if they actually cleared the tables however they just leave a mountain of empty uses glasses out so everyone can catch covid. on opending night from lockdown where was massive crowds with music blaring out and the staff just watched it happen apart from one young girl with pink hair ( I feel so so sorry for her as she was doing an amazing job yet all her other staff didn't seem to give a flying monkeys about anything but making abit of cash in there pocket.there was drunks being done in the toilet and smoking weed outside the front. brokeb glass everywhere and serving people way over the limit. again so regard for public safety at all.If you want to no get covid and stay safe I'd avoid this place as much as possible.

Probably one of the best pubs in Nottingham absolutely fabulous building it's a must-see if you visit the City

Booked and paid for a funeral buffet of hot and cold food plus chips. Plenty on the buffet although it seemed to be from Iceland’s frozen party range. However the chips never appeared and no explanation given. Had previously eaten a couple of times before and on this occasion was disappointed with the quality of food and not providing what had been agreed in advance.

Visiting the area and stumbles across this place, I have to say I was a bit mmmm when I walked in. Nice atmosphere and the food is amazing, you get loads for your money, me and my wife had the three horse shoes burger which consisted of a burger, pulled pork and a southern fried burger. It was cooked very well and tasted great. This place is definitely worth a visit, don’t let the appearance fool you. Pleasant staff, great atmosphere and great food.

Lively place family type pub, good choice of food

Clean, tidy and pleasant pub.The staff are friendly but there simply isn’t enough of them. There was only 1 chef on duty because another was off, but even 2 chefs is hardly enough for a busy pub and there was 1 person on the bar and another taking food out. Consequently it took 1hr 15mins before we got our meals. They were nice and hot though (unlike the Kings Arms at Hathern).But this state of affairs may be due to the brewery. I hear they have burdened the pub with extra charges which may have resulted in cost cutting. Could this mean another change of management? We’ll see.I think it would be good for pubs that experience intermittent service problems if they could provide something to help pass the time...that’s free! Something simple such as newspapers, card or board games etc. There is free WiFi though.

We arrived, no staff ready to serve us. It looked ok, didn't feel homely. Just another chain pub.

Great menu and very warm welcome

We have eaten here quite a few times and the food has been good ever time nice relaxed atmosphere staff very attentive and pleasant reasonably priced good menu would definitely recommend.

Previously came for meals to this pub quite a lot. Recently under new management and things have taken a distinct downturn on the food and service front. Booked a table and on arrival we weren’t told meals were running 60mins late. Only found out when I enquired after 30mins. Two young kids with us and a diabetic elderly mother so not good. Food when appeared, v average and no apology from anyone in management. The poor waitress was left to handle front of house disappointed customers. Appalling, I shan’t be returning.

Food and booze, what not to like

Nice atmosphere, new manager eager to make a go of it. Ate there party of 5, between Xmas and New year, food not anything to shout about, steak was microwaved, tiger prawns were shrimps. We will definitely go back, probably not the right time or circumstance to base an informed opinion. Watch this space!

We stopped coming to the Three Horseshoes because the food got so bad along with the service, and the last time they lost our order and we left without eating. So, you can imagine that we were quite hopeful when you recently took over. However, we were somewhat disappointed when we came for a meal recently. We ordered glasses of wine, but the bottle had obviously been open more than a few days and was off, the fries were luke warm, and the rest of the food just OK. It was value for money, but only because there was 20% off. All we are looking for is consistent, decent, home cooked pub food at a reasonable price. There is no other pub in the village that serves food, so you are sitting on a goldmine. There are many takeaways, and for the money we would use those instead of the pub as it stands at the moment. Your waitress was lovely and friendly, but you walked around the pub without speaking to any of your new customers. If you want local people to frequent the pub you have to make an effort too. Maybe we are in a minority and you may do just fine with the customers you already have, and maybe we were just expecting too much, but I doubt we will be returning.
