Walked in extremely busy as it was quiz night got our table straight away ordered food in minutes the lovely staff always look after you food n wine perfect evening Craig n team are amazing its a real family pub they look after you and care too well done team spirit won't go any where else for food

Not been for a very long time but a work colleague had recommended the sizzlers so went along with App installed. Tilly & Laura were 2 of the staff who guided us through the system & both were excellent representatives for the venue throughout our visit. For a Friday, the food came to us quickly & well presented. Only slight blip mushrooms were missing off one, but these were sorted by chap at the front door swiftly. Food was very good it's not a belly buster , so perhaps another side will add on future visits. Bit frustrating the early last orders so early as would of liked another round or two when had friends join us. Understand it's predominately not a pub in traditional manor being a chain based on food but surely weekends 10pm is rather early closure.

Poor service, food was barely warm and the ice cream desserts were already melting with a pool of melted ice cream in the bowl To top all this, I rang the previous day to book a table for a family of 7 and had to leave a message on their answerphone asking them to ring me back as I wanted to book a table. I never received a call back. I booked the table online for 3pm We got here, chose what we wanted to eat - 3 of us wanted the carvery - and went up to the bar to order only to be told (quite rude and abruptly) by the person behind the bar that carvery is only guaranteed up to 2.30! I told him I rang yesterday afternoon and asked for a call back as I wanted to book a table but I didn’t get a call back only to be greeted by a blank look - no apology, nothing! We will NEVER come here again and I will tell all my friends about this!

My wife and I visited the Spirit of Endeavour last night and we had a lovely meal and a few glasses of white wine. On a Monday in Town there isn’t many places open so we decided to try the Spirit. So pleased we did, we really enjoyed our evening. Thank you to Craig and his Staff

First class all round. Very Friendly Staff who always go out of their way to help. The food has always been good Our favourite place.

The AFVBC meet on a Saturday here, usually for breakfast but on occasion we do an evening meal, and quiz night with raffle also fundraising for a charity. The food served here is excellent, the staff are absolutely lovely and the manager is supportive and an excellent host for us. The team are great who work here and we always have a positive evening out. Would highly recommend anyone to come and have a meal here. Food with a smile, and a lovely atmosphere.

Great meal once again. I had the steak and chicken combo followed by the Sweet shop waffle. The presentation of the food was amazing. You cannot beat it for value. Staff are lovely too.

christmas dinner we booked christmas dinner here 14 people in total including four children. Dinner was amazing the chef was lovely at the carvery very friendly. Table was all set up for us on arrival with crackers. Bar staff were very friendly and accommodating we had a fabulous christmas diner here. many thanks

Very disappointed. There was hardly anything for vegetarians. I choose vegetarian sausage and mash. The mash was very dry, the peas undercooked and the vegetarian gravy lumpy and virtually tasteless. I won't be going there again.

Don’t waste your time or money. Tried to ring many times no one answered the phone Tried to book online no joy either? We saw it was busy by the car park . Explaining that we couldn’t book we got the smug look that’s because we are so busy she said You will have to see if you can find a table. Wished we hadn’t bothered , very over cooked and dry food not wanting to offend our hosts we ate what we could and just left. Staff busy but not seeing or hearing anything , loud unruly children no will definitely not go back.

Another lovely meal from the team. Both main cooked to perfection and the desserts were fabulous. It's a lot easier to book online as tables are limited.

Great for families. We go for the Sunday carvery, very reasonably priced and good food. The team work hard. Kids play area is a bonus. Book early though as it gets booked up quick, and dont bother ringing to book. You're more likely to win the lottery than you are to get through to someone on the phone!

Bad food for the money 2 out 10 .it time they gave value for the cost .Will not go again for a long .it time area manger step in and do something about it

The waitress pretty much threw the food on the table and ran away. Didn’t say anything to us. Chips were cold. Burger was cold. Heard another waitress complain to her friend about us because we sat in an area she had just cleaned. Overall not a good experience. Would not recommend.

We hold our Military Veterans Breakfast club here every Saturday mornings. Always looked after well. Friendly and helpful Staff & Management. Our area we use on those mornings are set up for us. Breakfast is good and value for money, scrambled eggs would be a good extra to put on menu, as some have dietary needs and cant eat some items. Always ready for us to help ourselves.

Great sunday lunch very tasty . staff very polite very open and light room clean they also do a vetrans breakfast on a Saturday morning worth a look

Spot on, food delicious had the wine I prefer and at excellent prices. Welcoming atmosphere, clean and tidy including the toilets. Definitely going back, would recommend.

Excellent venue for family and friends. Managed extremely well with good and happy staff. This place has been transformed since the new Manager (Craig) has taken over.

Went here for breakfast with a few friends and found it to be very good value for money. The staff were friendly and the food was fabulous, a very enjoyable breakfast of which all the lads agreed. We will absolutely visit again and I am already planning to take my family for dinner at the weekend.

The breakfast is top class and the manager and his staff are most helpful. Even with the road works it is easy to get in and out of the car park.
