A lovely meal at the Chain Bridge Boston. Food came quickly, was good quality and pipping hot. Ebony who served us was attentive, friendly and helpful.

There were 5 in my party. We ordered our food and it took over an hour to come out. My dish was lovely, but the other dishes didn't look worth the money. I am not saying they didn't taste nice, but my grandson and his partner both had steaks but they were not offered steak knives. We even had to fetch our own cutlery. One minute they seemed to be not serving and then they seemed to serve 6 tables at once.The only thing that really made it good is I used my blue light card and that saved us money. I think there was a full bag of fries on my son-in-law's plate although he was expecting chips.

The Chainbridge has some amazing food for the price as well as staff are so friendly and helpful with any questions about the food and drink I would recommend going with friends and family

In today for lunch as we were passing. Served by Jake, made welcome, polite & nothing was too much trouble. Food was hot, tasty & both plates cleared. 100% satisfied

Excellent food at the Chain Bridge which I wasn't expecting as it's a chain pub, meals were well cooked, we'll presented and most importantly for me actually hot when they were brought to the table! Service was good, Sydney was very pleasant. Was very quiet when we visited so not much atmosphere to speak of (hence only 3 stars) would defo visit again just for the food - well done chef & team!

Came in for a meal and food was amazing, presented perfect and came out fast. Waitresses was observant, extremely polite and friendly. Served our drinks straight away. Definitely will be returning.

Well......what a huge improvement in one month. We were properly welcomed upon entry and shown to our table by Eve. We were made to feel welcome and valued. Our food arrived and looked well looked after in the kitchen. Great service and food. Thanks to Eve.

Walked in and someone came straight over to us and took us to a table, gave us menu's and left us to browse the menu, very friendly staff, food was excellent they made sure to check everything was alright. Would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you to all the staff there especially Eve who was very attentive and Eboney was really nice.

Booked for 7, arrived early, ordered and told 15 minutes delay. Eventually served at 8.10. the counter staff were excellent, apologetic etc. there were people allowing kids to race round the restaurant. The meals that arrived bore no relationship to menu , the garlic bread was burned . Cold, tiny portion, just awful. I was refunded, but that's just not good enough. This seems to be a recurring thing, the people at an adjacent table left their meal uneaten and walked out.

We love this place travelled 12 miles Ordered a mixed grill and prawn salad which is my favourite. We waited one hour for food and the place is not overly busy so why 1 hour When the food arrived the prawns on the salad were frozen so obviously very upset and angry after waiting for so long. Why is the head chef even letting frozen prawns out of the kitchen. My grandson recommended this place to me but definitely having second thoughts now. Going down the pan springs to mind

Booked online to celebrate a family birthday. Rang on the day to check arrangements and the staff were very accommodating of helium balloons and birthday cake. Arrived to a busy pub environment but table was ready for us as promised. Staff were busy but friendly and we had a very sociable evening with great food, reasonably priced drinks and wonderful staff. Thank you for helping to make our celebration memorable.

The service was very good. They said we have a waiting time for food but didn't have wait long at all. We enjoyed the food every time we go there

We had a great time at Chain Bridge yesterday and was really impressed with the food and service! The food really exceeded our expectations and was very tasty and presented beautifully. Service was great and the waitress was very friendly and the bartender polite too. They had good knowledge of the menu and were able to speak about the dishes in detail. We loved that there was a menu for dogs (which our dog enjoyed too!) and to say this is a chain, it felt more like a local, friendly town pub. We will definitely visit again, thank you!

Went for a late family meal and the atmosphere felt warm and friendly. The service was truly top-tier as everyone really took care of us but a special mention has to be given to Lucy for her patience and always checking up on us with a smile.

It was a lovely night! We had a steak ,sweet fries,fried 🍄‍🟫 and it was all delicious.. just wanted to appreciate “Emma “ for her kindness and hospitality.. she sorted our order and even give us a complimentary dessert because the food that we ordered was not available.. she is very lovely ! 👍👍👍

Came for a datenight with my partner, I had a steak with the sweet potato fries upgrade, my partner had the ultimate chicken burger. Both were absolutely amazing. Food came out faster than expected too. Staff were really friendly, and the dessert was also really nice. We sat on table 28, which was a booth seat, it felt really cozy and was all round a really nice experience. Looking forwards to returning

When ordering drinks was not asked what size. Food took 45 minutes to arrive. Portion size were children’s size No onion rings when stated there would be Nobody came over to ask if everything was ok or I would have said Very expensive for what you got

We reserved a table and were seated in a very loud environment and right next to a pool table which was not ideal. We then ordered food. The sharer came out about an hour before our actual meal. We got the loaded fries for a sharer and had about a tea spoon amount of pulled pork on it. We have waited for so long for our main meals. By the time we were given our mains it was nearly time to go home for breakfast. Our cutlery wasn’t delivered to us until after they had delivered our food. None of the staff communicated with us, making us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. This pub has always had bad reviews and for as long as it is the way it is, it always will have bad reviews. Sort it out.

My wife and I called in here for lunch one surprisingly quiet Friday lunch time, there were only about 4 tables occupied. After ordering our drinks, we ordered our food: one prawn cocktail starter and two main courses (burger and scampi). After about 20 minutes the starter still had not arrived, the barmaid/waitress, who had been busily cleaning tables, was called and the starter subsequently appeared. We were then abandoned with no communication from staff whatsoever. After another 20/25 minutes, I asked where our main courses were. They were just being ‘dished up’ the waitress said. After another long wait, they eventually appeared. I asked the waiter why we had to wait so long, he said he would find out and came back telling us that there was a ‘staff/personnel issue’ in the kitchen. Clearly this overrode the customers who had been patiently waiting for their food. He did offer us a free drink or pudding as compensation, but this did not compensate us for what was effectively a spoiled experience. We did not expect to be there for over an hour for just 2 courses in a virtually empty pub (we had planned to have pudding and coffee, but were completely fed up after finishing our main courses!). The food when it did arrive was extremely nice. Very poor service and lack of effective management ruined totally ruined our visit and we are very unlikely to return.

Everything was amazing The manager Eve was very good to us gave us a warm and kind welcome absolutely fantastic.

Ordered two burgers, one undercooked (raw in middle) one overcooked. They offer to replace the raw one (wasn't to worried about over cooked), they take it away come back couple of minutes later asking if we want the meal replaced or burger, go away again saying it'll be 5-10 mins. 10 mins later they ask what burger did you have again. But of a breakdown in Comms in the kitchen, we told the service staff who obviously relayed the info to the kitchen who just forget it. Can't be made at the service staff just kitchen appears to be severely lacking

Recently dined here and was thoroughly impressed! The lasagne was lovely and the rocky road sundae for desert was perfectly sweet. The service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Will be back!

Popped by for a drink, but was tempted by the desert menu, very good, service was timely and staff were beyond friendly. Would love to come back and try a proper full meal

Such a lovely place to visit went for some lunch and drinks and I believe it was the two ladies sydney and eve who served us they were very welcoming and were happy to help. Would recommend 10/10

Came for a family meal, I had the rump steak cooked medium was cooked to perfection. And my partner said his burger was so fresh and juicy. The staff was so polite and always willing to help will definitely be back again soon🙂

Come on on the 2rd of October and had a amazing time the staff was amazing answering all the questions I had and made it a wonderful experience for me and my family making special arrangement for us as my partner has severe anxiety and there made the experience as good as they could and it made it so my partner didn’t feel anxious At all. Had a mixed grill, was cooked very well, ebony and Sienna were lovely at the bar and bringing food out, my brother had a pizza too and it was topped with loads of pepperoni.

The staff ebony, xander, and Sarah was brilliant really welcoming, food was great, definitely recommend.

Service was appalling We were seated and instantly forgotten. Served drinks, which were incorrect and again we were forgotten to the extent we approached the bar with over half an hour of our allotted time gone to enquire about ordering food, only to be told we most not approach the bar it was table service only.... We were finally served bland dry food with little or no taste, the steak and ale pie definately didn't have any ale in it, if you closed your eyes the only thing you could be certain of was that it was something in pastry. The tables were cleared and the staff cleared too, no chance of another drink or even the bill until we all stood up to go and even then we had approach a stray member of staff. Definately would not recommend food, service or ambience.

Sunday 29th September 2024 13.30 reservation. Sunday Roast. Just come home after one of my worst dining out experiences. First complaint, we should of been told that the meal would be about 75mins. Second complaint, the food was not very warm and very poor quality. Third complaint, there wasn't anyone to complain to. Just a couple of young girls delivering food. No one clearing tables. I will not go again and definitely would not recommend.

Ive had good meals here and Ive had average meals here. Its reasonably priced and the 2 for 1 mains means it can be good value. However on nearly every visit the customer service has been dreadful. Im not sure if there is simply not enough staff or they just work at one speed..... slow! ***UPDATED*** As the new owner had taken the time to trail back through and reply to our 5yr old review, assuring us that changes have been made, we decided to give them another go. Booked a table online, which was simple and quick. Great start! Sadly, that's the only positive to take from our experience. We turned up only to find that they didn't have a reservation in our name but found a table for us. Table was disgusting. Wobbly and couldn't touch it as it so sticky to touch which didn't really fill us with confidence. Reluctantly we decided to order food anyway, only to be told there was a minimum 1hr wait from ordering to receiving food. At that point we cut our losses and left!! So, I can assure the new owner 2 things, firstly the changes you talk of have been fruitless and secondly we will never come back. There are far too many amazing restaurants in Boston to bother with this woefully dreadful place.

We entered just gone 7.30pm, they were super friendly and accommodating to our dog, which we appreciated. We ordered food at the bar at 7.45pm so we didn’t have to wait for our drinks, however the food didn’t come out until 8.30pm and it wasn’t even busy. Whilst we’d never visited chain bridge before, we’ve visited many marstens and never waited this long for food. When the food came out it was missing little things like the burger sauce that’s supposed to come with it for example, but after waiting 45 minutes already, we didn’t dare ask for the missing bits because who knows how long that’d have taken. The food was really delicious, it’s just such a shame we had to wait so long for it.

I have to say Ebony lovely service, the cook did a marvellous job....I'd recommend this place ..

It is a shame. It used to be quite good but now there is hardly any staff. One girl yesterday lunchtime, taking orders for lunch and serving drinks. We managed to order 2 drinks although the bar staff (one person) had to take drinks to tables. When we were still in a queue for about 25 minutes, waiting to order lunch, we gave up and left. We had been there an hour. This place needs to sort itself out. The staff were working hard but it was absolutely hopeless. We shall not return. I am surprised anyone goes there. There are plenty of other places to go too.

We use this place when in Boston from the local area. Always friendly and food excellent. Well recommended for family and friends. Great value clean and helpful staff

Chronically understaffed. Staff on were pleasant and professional but snowed under. Food was decent though.

Visiting the area from derdy came for a meal with my husband was his birthday he order steak medium rare with pepper sauce we waited 30 minutes for the meal when it was served no pepper sauce came with it the steak was very rare took it back to the staff they ask him to eat the chips and they would bring out his steak when they had cooked it to his request we said no thank we won't a refund the service and staff we not helpful no apologies we given we wellnot be coming back and have spoilt the night

Came in on Tuesday to meet up with my partner, the food was great I had the gammon. The service was quick & efficient. My partner came in last week for a pizza, he enjoyed it that much he came in again. Both times was around 3 / 4 ish, he’s hard to please & fill up both times he’s walked away happy!

The staff were really friendly and the food was good for the price. Nice place to stop after a long drive.

Could do with more staff on lunchtime rush, one person serving drinks/taking food orders and tending till (Kya) with a Que of more than ten customers (all separate parties) is disappointing to see. Especially as more join the Que quicker than can be served. Polite and efficient as the lady serving was, it’s not on for her or the customers. The food was nice, presented neatly and delicious.

Massive shout out to Ebony at chain bridge. All the time I was there she didn't stop, serving food, working bar, and each time she passed my table she smiled. Deserves recognition for her hard work alone in the 2hrs I was dining. Keep it up Ebony xx

Booking was straight forward. Food arrived slightly quicker than expected, unfortunately the mixed grill was indeed mixed, meats were reasonably hot nut the steak which I asked for medium was on the upper side of well done and a little dry but all accompaniments in particular the fries were barley warm. The menu had the mixed grill coming with fried eggs but not a one in sight. It's frankly not good enough if we had paid full price (had a voucher 30% off) I would have been expecting money back for the missing items and those that were as good as cold.

Booked table for 4 at 4.45 stood 10 mins at the door waiting to be seated. Ended up walking to a table ourselves. Went to order sunday roast and didn't have any at all. Ordered food at 5:03 and food arrived at 6.10 and there was only about 15 people in the whole restaurant. With this and the poor experience we had here last time this is definitely the last time we are coming here.

Food was delicious, served by Ebony, worked her little legs off. If it wasn't for ebony it would be a 3 star rating for service, she made it worthwhile. Keep up the good work!
