Amazing pub. Very helpful and polite staff. Especially paige, above and beyond to make sure we got everything we asked for. Had the Americana steak. Asked for it as rare as the chef would do it. It's was the best rare steak any pub has ever cooked for me. So tender and juicey. Everything was perfect. Would recommend and would visit again. Thankyou chain bridge

The best pub i have had food at they have a wide range of food and drinks to select from the pizzas from Chain Bridge are phenomenal, and i definitely recommend dropping in for a drink and something to eat.

Came here as part of an overnight stay in Boston. Service was fab, despite clearly being busy and some new staff training happening, nothing was too much trouble. My milk allergy was catered to perfectly, food was brought separate to everyone else’s. Everyone has said how nice the food was, and again despite being busy was served promptly. Would eat here again next time we are up this way.

Had a lovely meal out for a first date, served by the ever so lovely Eve and Emma! Made the atmosphere most comfortable and attended to all our needs most quickly!

Very welcome greetings from both Emma and Lily today . Most kind and helpful to me and my elderly parents. The service and food was excellent and we have been a couple of times and each was as good. Thank you for a nice relaxing time.

The bar staff were good. The app which we were told to order from crashed, there was 8 of us ordering. When we went up-to the bar to order we were told it was a 45min wait, the pub was not busy at all. 1hr 30mins later the food arrived. The food was hot and tasty just took too long. We paid £194 for food and drinks and probably won’t go back anytime soon.

Booked on line and told there was 45mins to 1 hour wait time, why book in then!. Pizza and a pint on Monday evenings, no pizza's available. 2 out of 4 meals were returned. Various issues. Cold meal. Chicken tikka was equivalent to a 3 pound microwave meal. No coffee of any type available. A very miserable evening. If you want a 5 star review then it needs to improve. Thank you for your apologies. But you really need to improve. People need to get satisfaction if you want them to come back time after time. Our visit could not have been any worse. On the night if it could go wrong it did.

Very slow service and once food had arrived one of the baguettes was over cooked and very minimal filling!

Came in for dinner with my partner,both meals we're pretty average considering the price of the meals(burnt dry). Don't think we will be back anytime soon.

The food took a little while to come out, but our server, Vicky, was very friendly and helpful throughout our visit.

Would have been quicker, tastier and considerably cheaper to cook at home. Waited over an hour for terrible food.

Food was good but the wait is unacceptable waited an hour for 2 basic meals. Did get offered free drinks but this is not the first time this has happened, you would think they would learn!! Won't rush to return.

Great food quick service lunchtime quick stop

My daughter took me to lunch at The Chain Bridge for a late Mother's Day treat. We ordered on the app at 1.10pm and shortly after, our drinks were brought out. It wasn't very busy and there were 2 waitresses. It got to 1.50pm and I decided to ask the waitress where our food was. She went to the kitchen and then came back and told us that the hunter's chicken was now in the oven. It got to 2.10pm and I asked again where the food was and said I expected a partial refund. The manager came over about 5 mins later with our food, apologised and offered us a refund on the food. I was grateful for her doing this but this shouldn't happen. We received our food an hour and 5 minutes after ordering in a quiet lunch time. My daughter's chicken was dry and tough but the chips were ok. My tuna mayo melt baguette which was supposed to have creamy tuna mayo, with melted cheddar and mozarella on, was a damp baguette with plain tuna in, no mayo, no cheese! What a disaster! I have been to the Chain Bridge several times as it close to where I live and has a nice atmosphere but time and time again, I have been let down by poor service so I will definitely not be giving it any more chances.

Food good Eve served us and was very good

An absolute shambles! Table was booked for 5pm and when we arrived 5 mins before the tables were not pushed together and were dirty from the last people. We were told someone would be back in a minute to sort the tables and they never came. Eventually we moved the tables ourselves but asked that someone came to clean them as they were filthy. Nobody ever came back to clean them so I used baby wipes to clean them myself. At this point the only reason we were still there is because we had paid a £75 deposit. Food was a 90 minute wait but after more time than that we were told some things had run out. One thing that had run out was popcorn chicken and we were offered a partial refund on that bit. In error they then refunded the whole meal and cancelled it so when our food came at 8pm someone had no meal at all! I appreciate Mother’s Day may be busy but we waited over 2 hours for food that was incredibly disappointing and found the service to be very poor. Granted we were refunded some money but honestly I would not recommend the place or return again. Worst meal out I have ever had!

We had sirloin steak it was chargrilled all we could taste was burnt meat. It was also tuff, I could have counted the garden peas. It took 3 staff to take my order and very ignorant they were. My partner had a desert which was chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce, when it came it was so over microwaved and dry the sauce was enamelled to the plate. We complained about it. They replaced it with similar, we live local and it’s took me a very very long time to go back into this place after a similar experience. Obviously we will never step foot in the place again. Absolutely disgusting experience.

Updated return visit on mothers day, not a planned visit, pub was not busy but 40 min delay on food order, service was shocking from staff. Food was poor quality report to manager and staff to get the stock answer sorry, I wish I could add a video of the stuffing ball was like a bullet. Will never return here again

Visited for a 20th birthday meal. Pre ordered meals as there were 25 in the party, then had to order again on arrival. Very slow service, very poor attitude from staff, food was dumped on tables, very long wait for not only our food but every other table in the place and it wasn't massively busy. I do not recomend this place. steaks were all over cooked. Had a poor meal for two last time I came. Will not be visiting again. Only giving one star because I can't give 0

We visited for a late lunch mid week and it was VERY quiet, but we actually preferred that. The food was delicious, and the wait was long enough to know the food was being cooked rather than reheated. Our only comments were that they had no drinks on pump that day, and it made it expensive for what was just a can. Though we booked a table on the website, it wasn't needed as it was so quiet, but maybe it is worth doing for busier meal times.

Fantastic service ordered through QR code fast service and even sat where we asked to sit so child could play in the play area!

Booked a table online for 4 adults and a 2 year old for 6:15pm, venue moderately busy on arrival. Seated promptly, and ordered food and drinks at 6:30pm. Couldn't forfill order of san miguel (flat) & diet coke (unavaliable). Substituted with moretti & diet lemonade which were flat when poured. These were replaced without fuss. When placing the order we were informed there was a wait of an hour for food which we accepted. By 7:45, nor ours or any of the surrounding tables had recieved any food, so we ordered more drinks while we waited, and asked for an update from the kitchen. We was told there was a large order before us which was being served but we would be served next. 8pm still no food. Ordered more drinks, and again asked for an update, to be told that food was being plated. At 8:20pm still no food, and was told that the order hadn't even been started, but they could get our 2 years old daughers meal ready in 15min. By this time our daughter was virtually asleep and had been at the venue over 2 hours. We said this this is totally unacceptable and wanted to cancel the order and be refund. The cost food was refunded, but the extra profiteering from the drinks ordered over the course of a 2 hour wait would not be. We were offered some vouchers by means of compensation, but after such a dire experience we declined as the chances of us returning are highly unlikely. As we put our coats on to leave, around 2h 15m after our reservation our cancelled food order arrived. It appears the kitchen cancels orders and slowly as it prepares it food. Amusingly the medium steak we ordered looked as if it has been on the grill the full 2 hours and was inedable. To Marston group I advise that if you dont have the staff or capability to run a 3/4 full pub, dont let a table be booked. Also, if a customer asks for a time update, dont lie to them so they can make an informed decision. Overall it is a terrible shame that with a young child we rarely get the chance to dine out, and the experience was unfortunately ruined on this occasion.

We had a lovely time and the meat was perfectly cooked even though the service was a bit late it was perfect, our kids played on the play area and had a great time waiting for our food to arrive.

My husband and myself stopped for a meal on the way to our stay at Westwood Lakes as we do twice a year, we had large fish and chips, one with garden peas, the other with mushy peas, the fish was so well done that the batter was very dark brown with no fish at the ends, just hollow batter and the fish was dried up and no taste, the mushy peas portion was just a table spoon full, we won't be having that again. The wait at the bar to order was a long one because the bar person was taking orders, delivering food to tables and clearing tables, bad service. This place has gone downhill over the last 2 or 3 years.

Nothing to complain about, okay service a bit slow however we were not in a hurry so no problem , staff friendly overall a nice place , and of course dogs welcome food was good 👍

We was a group of 7 men and we have been at westwood lakes all weekend fishing and we popped in for some food the pub looked busy and they found us a table oven though we did not book one the food was spot on just what we all need none of us had a bad word about the place of food we come here fishing alot at least once a month so I think this will be a regular place for us when we have been fishing all day Thank you to all the staff And keep up the good work

I’m not going to lie the last time I ate at the chain bridge I swore never to return and friends have been since and not been impressed. However, this time we were greeted by a bubbly front of house member who was polite and helpful. The table was clean and good menu selection. All 3 of us ate something different and all really enjoyed it. Another team member (male) did a check back on us. All in all a really good experience and would recommend.

Wow! Where do I start!!!! Absolutely appalling! So i will start with the food……. We order food to then have to wait 5 minutes for cutlery to get to us while food is going cold, order extra chips to receive literally about 8 chips that cost around £3.80. Sauces were missing to the burgers we ordered, then had to wait 10 minutes for another sauce to which the bag had split so had to make another sauce by then it was too late! Then ordered the children some desserts meanwhile plates were still on table not been collected so had no room to eat the desserts, again had no spoons so the children had to use a fork until we actually fetched some spoons ourselves. Then to top it off we got told could we clear up our mess as the cleaner isn’t working and the staff didn’t want to stay to long after!!!!!!!!!! Now seriously are you actually joking me!!!!!!! So you can’t clear our plates , bring cutlery and on top of that you want us to tidy up our table! I was gobsmacked! Is that not what you get payed for? Would we get money off our food bill if we cleared the table? No!!!!!!!!! I’m not one to write reviews but that was the icing on the cake! It’s safe to say we will not be returning.

Would give zero stars if I could! Party of 14 to be asked at the end of a meal to please tidy up as we have no cleaners was icing on cake! We had to sit with empty dirty plates on table for most of the evening waiting for them to be collected meaning most didn’t order desserts as no room!!! Had to find our on cutlery for main course! Kids ended up eating ice cream with a fork as only 3 spoons available! I went to the counter to speak to the manager and was greeted by a supervisor who did not see any issue with asking customers to clean the table and area around as they had no cleaners?? She tried to say that other customers have never had a problem with being asked to do so! I’m left perplexed at the whole experience and after being long time customers none of us will ever step foot back in to the Boston establishment!

Just been here and normally marston pubs are great, the food was below par especially for the price, pizza extremely thin and burnt, daughter’s salad sticks were sour so they were obviously off. Over all very disappointed

Person who served at the bar asked several times what I was ordering. I had to keep repeating myself. Waited nearly an hour for food and the place was not even busy. We were told they were waiting for the soup. Soup was tepid sent it back and were only about 2 spoonfuls in the bowl. Chef said that's what you get. Won't be rushing back again.

The steak was tough and cold, the only item that was warm was the chip. Also had the mixed grill and the sausage were charcoaled and the meat was also tough and cold.

This was a last minute booking and was so easy to do online with a confirmation emailing my inbox in minutes A freshly cooked fish and chips with mushy peas and a scampi , chips and peas arrived at our table in about 45 minutes A descent portion of chips all cooked spot on Staff were very friendly and polite with very competitive prices well worth a visit

A huge improvement! Recently, the experience at Chain Bridge had gone hugely downhill! The staff didn't seem to know what was happening, wrong food was repeatedly delivered to tables and everyone was scruffy and not recognisable as staff members. Last night, was a brilliant experience! All the staff were tidy with branded/promotional tops. The food arrived promptly and the staff were friendly and confident. Well done because it was a shame before!

Had a lot of meals there but tonight was very poor. Had garlic pizza bread to share between us to startI and that was burnt underneath!!!! I had bbq smothered chicken but only little bit sauce on top and that was dried on, awful. Husband had gammon which overcooked, he had 12.chips I had 14 !!!! Surely chips is the cheapest way to fill plates not the green leaves. When we told waitress all she said was sorry with smirk on her face, sorry but not exceptable There was 4 of us , we had drinks as well so have spent about £65- 70. 😡😡

Booked for a family birthday group of 8 adults & 1 child. There was a 45 mins wait for food but it took much longer. Sunday lunch - 1 was returned as it was cold. When it was brought back out the Yorkshire pudding was tough, roast potatoes were soggy not crispy guessing it had been microwaved. The other Sunday dinners were also very poor, even the veg tasted horrible. Mixed grill - steak should have been well done but was burnt. Burgers - the only meals that were ok. No one came to check if everything was ok. Also if you’re thinking of taking young children the indoor small children’s play area was absolutely awful. Old, broken, tired toys chucked all over, ripped books in a basket and everything was dirty. Overall very disappointed. ☹️

the staff were very friendly an polite, but clearly rushed off their feet,,,,,,,,,,,, my partners fish n chips was just lovely but had to ask for a slice of lemon but not a problem really. i ordered surf n turf but paid extra £2 for the sirloin, after 20 mins waiting was told no sirloin, ok so i asked if i could have extra surf for the inconvienience an told yes and also given £2 refund, thats great, aksed about time to deliver an told may still be 45 mins like at the time we ordered. my meal (surf n turf) was good except only half a tomato, only 8 mushrooms that although were tasty were honestly no bigger than peas!!!!!! really are you kidding me !, also the peas were virtually invisible on my plate, about 12 peas in total!!!!, overall food an service was good, but Cmon give us proper portions please

A Paw-somely Good Time! The Chain Bridge atmosphere was warm and inviting, which made it the perfect place to meet up with family/friends, socialize, and enjoy some seriously good food. The online booking system was easy to use. The service was excellent – friendly, attentive, and efficient – which always makes a dining experience more enjoyable. A huge plus for us was the fact that the Chain Bridge is dog-friendly! It’s always a treat to be able to bring our dog along, and the dedicated dog menu was a fantastic surprise. Our dog was thrilled to have his own culinary choices! My only (very minor) suggestion would be to perhaps serve the dog menu items in a proper dog bowl rather than a plate, which might be a bit more practical (and less messy!), on this occasion we fortunately had a bowl with us. Beyond the dog-friendly aspect, the food for humans was also top-notch. Everything we tried was delicious and well-prepared. It’s clear that the kitchen takes pride in their dishes. Overall, the Chain Bridge offers a winning combination: a welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service, and a genuinely dog-friendly environment. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to socialize and enjoy a meal, especially those with four-legged companions.

Me and my partner had a really good meal here. We were greeted by Tamara and she was our server for the evening. Very polite and friendly, had great service from her and the food we had was great. Will definitely be coming back to try more things off the menu.

The staff were very accommodating and very helpful, there were a few issues such as no hot drinks however the staff were more than happy to let us purchase drinks from the coffee shop next door and bring them in to enjoy with our meals.

Waiting over an hour for dinner the restaurant was nearly empty when we walked in, we ended up walking out.

Food nice, reasonably priced only complaint was I ordered the normal chicken burger and was given and charged for an ultimate.

Friendly staff. The vegi chilli was very nice. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. I would highly recommend paying them a visit.

Once food was ordered it only took 10/15 mins to arrive - really hot and really fresh. Had a 10 min break before puddings - but again once ordered came quickly and were very good. Customer service was really good - really attentive and very friendly . Overall fantastic visit

Made an online booking for my birthday. In the special requests section I asked as a joke for balloons, cake and for them to sing happy birthday birthday to me. On arrival I was met by Tamara and her team who had gone above and beyond with my request. Balloons, cupcake and candles, banners, personalised card and they also sang. I am 48 😂 It made both of our days. The food and service was excellent. Thank you for making my birthday what it was. X

The food is great I love the starters can never choose! My partner usually has the tikka masala as he loves it and my kids change their minds but one usually goes with the little Rita which he devours quickly lol the service is great and the staff are lovely and friendly

Food was quite good and came out really quick! Particularly liked the layout of the Hunters Chicken in bowl with Salad was much easier to eat. The service was incredible, we had a lovely lady called Tamara who was extremely kind and attentive. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip!

I came this evening with my family. We didn’t wait too long for food considering it was quite busy. Food was good quality, tasted good and was hot on arriving. Only waited 5 minutes for desserts as well. Staff were attentive, very helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend

This evening I came for a meal without booking a table and was seated at a booth with a nice view of the restaurant. Our food did take a little while to arrive but it was rather busy, however tasted very nice and was hot on arrival. we proceeded to order desserts which tasted delicious. the staff were friendly and polite. Overall we had a good experience and would come again.

Came here on Sunday, food was absolutely amazing, staff were lovely and the atmosphere was really welcoming. Food came out really fast and food was perfect eating temperature. The few girls working were really nice and did an amazing job.

I will be recommending to friends and family. The service is amazing, friendly staff, dog friendly (with a doggy menu too), amazing deals and thorough when dealing with allergies. As I am allergic to tomatoes they went and checked product labels for me. Can't wait to return.

Absolutely disgraceful, none of the staff wearing uniform couldn’t determine who was actually management and who I needed to speak to about the problems during my visit. Wearing Nike jumpers, trainers and leggings is not professional, as it seems it is run by children, not a single person looked over 21 I assume to keep your wage budget down. Ordered a veggie pizza with extra chicken that arrived and looked like it had been hacked at with a chainsaw and not a pizza cutter, why are you serving your pizzas pre cut and not with the pizza cutter so the customer can decide how their pizza is sliced, like the restaurant has done for the past 7 years? Sent the pizza back it came back the 2nd time with no chicken and half the size…still pre cut. My partners bread bun on the burger was not remotely toasted but stale and was served with precisely 15 very anaemic chips, for a £13.59 burger and no dip pot of burger sauce is criminal, even better my 2 years olds waffles completely soaked in I assume dirty oil seen as they were practically dark brown. Just to top it off it took 3 members off staff to finally get a refund for my chicken that I didn’t receive, fair enough I was refunded for the whole pizza which was appreciated but a single “sorry” with no offer of a receipt to show my refund or even a heads up that it’ll be back with me in a few days, luckily I knew this already maybe an offer of dessert to the table or a drink might’ve improved my mood and would’ve stayed for dessert but wanted to immediately leave after the absolute shambles of a meal that was served. Haven’t been in over 2 years and was persuaded to try it again but never ever again! You may think I am being picky or know a bit about wage budget…yes I do, I was a staff member here for nearly 5 years, 1 and half of those a member of management leaving in 2022 so yes compared to what it was like previously I am incredibly disappointed.
