Morrisons Cafe in South Holland

Myself and my daughter stopped for a meal before shopping. What a refreshing young man Jake is, so polite and friendly. Food was good too. Then went and got our groceries, Angle is great, so helpful on the tills. Leah on the cigarette counter is like a breath of fresh air. I hope management realise how professional and hard working you all are . Thank you

Returned today thought we should give them the benefit of doubt after staying away for the same reasons. Totally disappointed 12 . 30 pm not at all busy in the cafe but already to be told sold out of jkt potatoes we quickly had to choose an alternative only to be totally disappointed yet again with the quality the poor presentation and total waste of money, The attitude from the unhelpful staff who quite honestly where in dirty un appealing uniform was one that made you feel they just didn’t want to be there , This used to be a busy well run cafe which was an asset to the store, now it just drives people away. Why oh way can’t we get it right come on Morrisons get some people in there that have an interest in what they’re doing and want to work they need a rocket up there (———-)

Had friends driving over an hour to meet at Morrisons Pinchbeck for some lunch and found the experience an imbarassment, after trying to get to grips with the automated ordering system, as there were no staff to be seen anywhere, we waited for the food which was a jacket potato that was supposed to have butter and cheese and salad, only had butter and a pile of old leaves as a dressing, the potato was stone cold and had to be sent back, it came with a tea cake which was burnt and the coffee which was supposed to be an Americano couldn't be had because the machine was empty, there was about 8 people in the cafe so it's not as though they were busy. My son ordered a toasted cheese and ham sandwich the bread was the thinest bread I've seen and the filling was disgusting, I had a sausage roll and a coffee, when our friends food was delivered I asked where my sausage roll was and the person said it didn't come through on her system, after standing there studying my receipt she noticed it was on there and went to the cold shelf put a cold sausage roll on a plate and brought it to me, it looked like it had been there all day, no offer to heat it up. We would have done better going into the store and buying a sandwich off the shelf rather than the rubbish we were presented with. Someone should oversee what is leaving that kitchen and do their job properly, people haven't got money to throw away in these times, it cost us £15.00 and was disgusting, I wouldn't recommend that cafe to my worst enemy. I have noticed that Martin Lewis is advertising free jacket potato and beans at Morrisons I hope people don't rush there to get it, as they will be very disappointed.

This was a most disgusting meal, we ordered cottage pie and peas and burger and chips, we waited 20 minutes for it to be bought to our table it looked terrible i then mentioned we paid extra for cheese burger but no cheese the server then used his hand to open the burger to look ( this is after he was seen on till handling money) then took it away to add a piece of cold cheese) these meals were cold and overcooked we couldn't eat more than a few bites and didn't want to eat the burger, we used to love eating at Morrisons whats happened to the the standards of food and hygiene. The lovely manager at the customer services gave us a full refund

1.30pm and most of the tables were blocked off, had to move signs to put the trolley in the cabinet, tables that looked like they had been wiped down with a dirty cloth. Staff just sat at tables. The whole cafe just looked abandoned. Hardly any customers in there, yet tables hadn't been cleared. Definitely gone down hill! (also any chance the mens toilets could be fixed??)

Automated ordering service ok but not clear drinks are self service and food delivered to table. I had poached eggs on toast which were cooked ok, the butter on the toast was just in the middle so the rest of the toast was dry. Customer service - staff had a 'couldn't be bothered' attitude. No one on the shop floor so had to call twice through the kitchen. The restaurant was also freezing cold. Not great value for money.

we hear today a very large suppermarket plenty parking and disabled parking with dissabled parking as well shelves full of food ect and the resturant as well inside very good menu to choose from and we will be back soon

ok bean a long time comming hear as i only have 3 hours ev ery two weeks with my suport worker it is a very clean nice cafe v ery clean fresh food cook and a very helpfull staff and we will be back it as disabled parking and toilets

As I used to live in Pinchbeck and often visited as I was in Spalding I thought I would have lunch first mistake.How a place can deteriorate so fast is beyond me,Firstly the ordering system is very slow and cumbersome. After I ordered I got a drink and the woman on the checkout was the most miserable I have ever seen no please or thank-you.I ordered the roast of the day and when my meal arrived it consisted of 2 dry processed slices of beef ,3 insipid roast potatoes and a pile of something I think that was passing for mashed potatoes which had the texture and appearance of watery porridge.On top of this was an anaemic Yorkshire pudding that had the texture of rubber.Overall a very disappointing experience in a restaurant that was grubby and devoid of any atmosphere. Sort it out Morrisons.

went to the Spalding branch for a lunch with me and my wife as well as a friend, when we arrived there was one gentleman already at the till awaiting to be served, me my wife, and friend turned up only to find that at 2 o'clock, they had stopped serving meals on a Sunday, when we are asked why this was, I saw minimum of four people in the kitchen, all clearing up the crockery that's was mounted high, and the reason for this was given, that they had a staff member go off sick. I am about fed up with that cafe, I have made many complaints in the past when they used to do Gammon, and not once did any of the staff managed to cook it properly, or thoroughly. Eventually they sorted the menu out, minus the Gammon, and things were palatable, however the cleanliness of the cafe is not what you would expect. The cushioned seating area if you look at the back of the cushions they are full of crumbs and other debris from food sweets and other children's waste. The tables look like they have been scared with the cloth that has been used on many surfaces never rinsed and are often left sticky , the underside of the tables on the edges are disgusting. Going back to the tills you will often find people are waiting a long time to be served, because they are in the back with no view of the till area, all the coffee machines, or cakes, or anything. I have observed many times people helping themselves to tea, coffee, cake, drinks because the staff have not been there to monitor it, and take the money. Often you can find yourself waiting a long time for the food to be served this however is for me personally a little bit rare. The breakfast I find not very good the tomato has seen the hot plate bounced off it run like hell and had its a*** d scorched. Last year my wife was working in that cafe and it was spotless above, and beyond the requirements of her contract. She only left because they were asking her to stand on top of fryers that had only just been turned off to clean the ducting above. I later asked her to leave that job. I also raised a complaint, because there was a manager who is no longer at the store who berated my wife for parking a bike near a door everybody used it was a fire exit, he waved his arms screamed shouted at her and put her in fear of the situation because she was alone in a corridor with no one else there to witness the situation. A complaint was raised with a cleaning company contracted there. They were supposed to raise it with Morrison’s management, and guess what, nothing was ever done, not even an apology, it was only met with delaying tactics from her manager, this was at this point combined with the other, I requested, for her to please leave that store to which she did, I have seen for myself personally how the lorry drivers are treated at RDC Centre, up and down the country. Drivers are expected to wait in their cabs in heavy sun, when the interior can raise to over 50 plus. There are no facilities for the drivers to get fresh water, or even leave the cab to use an unauthorised point to get water, without getting into trouble, for taking up the bay; there are no seating in these facilities at all for the drivers near the bays no refreshments. The toilet facilities are disgusting these being, Gadbrook, Sittingbourne, Stockton, and Bradford, Bradford being the worst. With the exception of Bradford however there is no hot running water in the toilets to wash your hands only cold, Gadbrook there is a toilet outside the main gate, with no hot water, and if you're lucky toilet roll and some soap, the water, and the water runs so slow you could actually process that water from a ditch and get it quicker. This company will not tell you or omit anything. I have had to raise several times complaints, also safety as well as hygiene and the condition of the RDC centres that very, very little to ever be done. This is the company that says,”It is family and cares” it does not in my view; ask any food lorry driver chilled distribution, he or she will tell you the same if you dare ask Morrison’s. I asked please will you sought out these problems, and yet we were supposed to be heroes of the Covid, you got your food and goods, and we got no discounts, no respect

Turned up at 5.07pm on a Friday evening for tea with our two young children and they were closed. I said but your website says your open until 6pm and it like teatime. My reply "oh you can't go by the website". I was like but it's teatime and she just said sorry we close at 5pm. I was so shocked and my two little ones were so disappointed. We went to the kitchen at Springfields instead. I will be taking my complaint higher cos I my opinion it's just so unacceptable. Not happy at all. Was going to do my weekly shopping after and was going to make it a regular thing but no never again.

its been a very long time since we have bean hear and it is very nice to be back again it as a very large car park and disabled parking and toilets as well it is a very clean restaurant and plenty of leg room at the tables quite a good menu to choose from we found the staff very good as I review how we find them on the day we have our meal

Don't bother with the Too Good To Go from here. Very disappointed. Two slices of individual chocolate cake that went out of date 4 days before. Doughnuts that were 2 days out of date. The rest was OK. We try to save Food Waste but there's a limit!

The one meal cafes and restaurants in the UK can usually get somewhere near right is breakfast. Well, not at Morrison's. You get off on the wrong foot with the truly awful ordering system which defies anyone over the age of 20 to operate. We had two couples in front of us and waited 15 minutes whilst they wrestled with the screen ordering system. The all day, premium, breakfast when we finally got it was pretty awful. The black pudding was like a piece of black carpet with a brittle consistency and no flavour. The bacon was thin and insipid, it looked like it had never ever been part of a healthy pig. There was one egg where two were promised although there were three sausages as if to make up for the egg shortage. Sadly the sausages were the cheapest, nastiest, no flavour or consistency ones I have ever had. No, breakfast at Morrison's won't be on my bucket list ever again.

as my wife died 7th December 2021 i have two friends who look after me and so now and again i take them out for a meal as a thank you

Visited today 31/07/22 at 1.30 pm choices included NO chicken, Burgers, Fish ,Jacket Potato Panini to name a few . Coffee mugs chipped or not clean , Coffee machine needed sorted , waiting time 30 minutes. Not busy . Staff discount not working gentleman didn’t look into this just asked for money , had to use customer services for discount.

we are regulars and have been to the restaurant many times, but today was awful. We waited 30 minutes for a teacake and the lattes were luke warm and only half a mug. We were one of six tables who complained. Theres no complaints about the staff, but its disgusting that the machines have been adjusted to only half fill the cups and using only luke warm water.

Soon as you entre the Morrisons Café you have to sanitize your hands and then fill a form in name ect you then are shown to your numbed table and then the staff will come and take your order i found a sense of safety...

Friendly staff and clean and tidy seating areas. Co vid instructions clear and being undertaken. Food was great. Very good value for money. 3 meals with drinks and extra toast for just over £8 what a bargain.

Visited today for breakfast, usually wait 10 minutes at other Morrison cafes, but this came so quickly. Bacon was undercooked, sausages not nice, scrambled egg tasted of powder and only a spoonful of beans. Could not eat. Worst ever...

My wife and I decided to give this restaurant another chance after 2 or 3 years hoping it had got better WRONG.My lunch was rubbish and the wife's fish and chips were just as bad .The only thing to benefit from this is i brought home nearly all my chicken for the hedgehogs who visit our garden.This cafe will not get another chance NO WAY.I would sooner go hungry than go in there again.With all the bad reports on this place why do management not check what is being served.

Iv noticed a real upturn in the food and service just lately.

Tried the breakfast at Morrison’s today and thought it to be a little below average to be honest.sausage in my opinion was cooked much earlier and kept warm,bacon was good though.eggs were hard and the black pudding was not edible as it just crumbled to ash when cut.wont be trying another.

ok thought wet afternoon so morrisons look round and dinner there good car park and for blue badge holders as well nice open doors for wheelchairs and mobiloty schooters nice wide walk way through the shelves restaurant very nice wide bright place very nice and clean good menu to choose from though i think that the large menu near entrance to restaurant is to dark to see some of the menu as it dark back ground food nice and fresh

This lunch time we went to Morrisons Cafe for our lunch, as we have been number of times before.

Stopped here for tea and a muffin. £3.60. Bargain and choice of muffins too. Lady on the till could have been a little more cheerful. Tea an excellent brew. A paper to read would have been nice!

Called in here to have a breakfast after a very long journey and to do a bit of shopping. The restaurant is located well away from the check out areas which is a bonus for easy access, this is by far the best layout of a restaurant that we have experienced with this chain,. We placed our order and went and sat down and within two minutes our order was efficiently served and piping hot.

Thought l would treat myself for my tea on the way home from work! Big mistake! Ordered Lasagne and chips and a coffee £6.00 Good value. When it came Chips were spongy and cold , lasagne was swimming in water and had zero taste. Amazed at how bad they can cook food!!!

Always a nice breakfast here. Service is really friendly from the minute you order to when your food arrives. A small breakfast and coffee for £6.....this also includes two thick slices of buttered bread (some places you have to pay extra for this).

Went to Morrison's Spalding Lincs. for lunch jacket potato good . Coleslaw watery . Sandwiches good value all spoilt by lack of staff again . Queues at till .long wait for meal .

Quite a nice size. Can wait a while for the food if they are busy and they usually are. Good cooked breakfast. Lunch options or just a sandwich or cake. Self service drinks. Reasonable prices. Ideal if want a drink while out food shopping.

After shopping here we decided to have lunch to save doing it when we got home. We have eaten here before but not recently. It’s been refurbished since the last time I visited and it looks great. We ordered the food and paid got our coffees and waited. There wasn’t many staff around and a few of the tables had trays on waiting to be cleared. With it being bank holiday I suppose they were on a skeleton staff.

Came here today for breakfast before I did a bit of shopping around the store. You can't fault it... A 'small breakfast' and a pot of tea for around £5. Fried egg was perfect, as was it all. Service was lovely too.

Had poached eggs on toast. Specifically asked for soft eggs, was even on the receipt. Came out like bouncy balls....not for the first time either. Complained to a lovely young lady who explained that the eggs come in PRE POACHED!! They then HEAT THEM UP!! But they are fresh! So that's a no-no in my book and won't be going there again! Can't believe they can't cook a poached egg!

We went to Morrisons today for a spot of retail therapy (food division). While there we decided for a spot of breakfast, I had my normal Big Breakfast and Hev chose her normal Soft Poached Egg on toast. We enhanced the request of "soft eggs" on both meals and it was even written on the receipt. However, once again Hev's poached eggs were rock hard, as this has happened on several occasions we decided to complain. This is the shock bit, we were told that the poached eggs are cooked by an outside agency and brought in, only to be reheated in the Morrisons kitchen. If someone cannot cook a poached egg, get another job.

Popped in for a coffee and a bite to eat. Service was friendly enough but the restaurant smells of fish. Coffee was absolutely disgusting.. Didn't even bother to drink them. Usually ok in Morrisons but very disappointing. Sorry.

well back hear for dinner not bean hear for awhile it is easy to park a car as plenty of parking spaces nice big room well set out chairs and tables so far as before the food was nice and hot well set out on the plate very clean staff ok nice and bright in side cafe

Been here a few times for breakfast and never been disappointed. I had the small breakfast which consists of a rasher of bacon, a sausage, hash brown, beans, a fried egg and two slices buttered bread. It's an absolute bargain...including a pot if tea for just over £5. Quality of food lovely. It's a great way to start the day before you go onto your grocery shop. Staff also friendly and polite, always a nice atmosphere when you enter. They also do a vegetarian breakfast too.

well we have 5 hours at a time out with my two suport workers and so this means we are out each day for dinner today we was having dinner in Morrisons Cafe we havwe been hear many times now and it always the very same very clean plenty leg room at table to strech out your feet it as a very big carpark and a good lot of food to choose from the chairs are a bit higher than some cafe as i find it hard to get up or sit down if the chairs are too low had good meal today and be back again some time

Quite large store with very good cafe.anything form tea coffee and a small snack to a full blown meal.I always choose the lamb shank.very tasty served with mash and garden peas along with jug of gravy.cannot go wrong £5.25

we came back to morrisons for our meal and it was just as it was the first time clean good food ect got a good car park so parking no peob and it gotr toilets all on the bottom floor it is very clean

Always good value Morrisons Restaurants. Varied menu. Good all day breakfast with toast. Friendly staff. Clean environment.

I have been here several times and also used the ones in Morrisons two Coventry stores before I moved.

Morrisons have just completely given the cafe a new make over, its very bright and cheery, miles better that the old trough !

Went late morning last week with my daughter and Grandson very good value for money food not bad at all - we would all go again!

I met my son here before he went to work, he had a meal I just had a snack we both had drinks, it's great now you get you More points in here too

I was really impressed this morning when I went to use my free hot drink voucher. Gone are those chairs that were welded to the tables, in place are modern, pastel coloured kitchen tables. The food is always good here, I had a bacon roll for £2. (I saw a roast dinner advertised at £5) The only thing I don't like is that the self serve coffee machines aren't in the flow of the queue for the till, you either have to get your drinks and go to the back of the queue, or pay for what you think you would like before you get it.

Meal was OK for what it cost girl at checkout was so busy taking orders taking menus to kitchen taking money seemed a little overwhelmed

The cafe has been recently renovated and the decoration is very nice and inviting. No more chairs you cannot move. Very modern. The food is good.

The standard of food has greatly improved since Sally took over the running of the cafe A pat on the back for you

Always enjoy a light lunch here (or sometimes tea) before going about the weekly shop. Good value food and drinks.

Set to the right of the front door with views of the car park, go after four pm and get a free drink with your meal. Always have the fish and chips as batter crisp and a good size fish, chips not greasy and choice of mushy peas or beans. Not too long a wait and served to your table. Not many staff but they do a wonderful job. Cakes and sandwich also on the menu. Lockers to put your shopping trolley in whilst you are eating there.

I gave this average as I think the hot lunches are just okay, and sometimes the dinners are great and sometimes not so great, However it is a supermarket cafe so I don't expect the earth. To be honest though, the kids deal before 6pm is fantastic and if you have to do your shopping it is a cheap and easy option to get free dinner for them and take the edge of the shop by not having to cook when you get back!! Quick and easy and cheap.

we go to many towns to look around and each town we go we keep to the same cafes as we then know what the place is like as in clean good food at a decent price value I look for plenty of leg room under the tables as I am also disabled and have to use a walking stick the place must be very clean or we don't use it again as both my support workers have cars and I have a blue card for parking this also we look into
