The Unicorn Diner in South Holland

Drive past the diner often wife always said we'll have to try it, well we did and not disappointed very nice breakfast 10 /10

Went to the unicorn cafe today for breakfast. I was on a motorbike ride out from Norwich with a friend also on a motorbike. The welcome from the staff was warm and friendly, the food selection was very good with a large and varied selection including fruit juice cereal toast and jam and a full English all self serve couldn't of asked for more. Will definitely visit again and recommend to bikers and families alike. We only had one issue the drive and car park was gravel so a bit unstable for motorbikes

We enjoyed the food, freshly cooked, nice atmosphere , friendly staff, we will go again. Hopefully there will be more Bikers next time, for the Bikers night

Booked catering for 20 for our Granddaughter's party. Paid in full at the time of booking and agreed a list of what was being supplied. This was written in their diary on the date booked. We were not offered, or sent a copy of this list. We agreed to pick up food as they couldn't deliver because of other bookings that day. On the day of collection there was no popcorn, bacon turnovers, drinks and the chicken nuggets had been substituted with chicken strips and some strange chicken rings. The guy on the counter said the boss hadn't told him about the missing items hence they weren't there. On returning the 'trays' today the boss was sat outside chatting to someone. 'Everything okay' she asked. Not really I answered and then went on to explain. She admitted the missing items were her fault but then went on to become extremely rude about the fact that we had the 'cheek to complain'. Maybe this boss needs to remember that customers pay her wages! As far as she was concerned we were the problem. She eventually gave us a refund of £10 to get rid of us whilst complaining all the time about how petty we were. My advice would be avoid unless you want to be verbally abused if you dear to complain

First visit will not be the last. Food excellent , presentation excellent could not fault anything. Very good price have had worse elsewhere and paid a lot , lot more. The chef is a great asset to this diner, I hear Sunday roast is amazing so will be back .

We had a lovely lunch on Saturday, we were late as well at 13.55 but they stayed open for us. Very good value, very friendly, excellent service, definitely go again and recommend

I decided to visit the diner after living in Sutton. Ridge many years and always wanted to. I took my little boy along and we both really enjoyed the breakfast! Great value for money and fantastic service. They even plated a breakfast to take away for my wife who was working from home! Will definitely be going back

This cafe used to be our favourite stopping off point on our way to Suffolk. Stopped today ordered bacon sandwiches. The cheap bread was stale and dry. Served with a side salad? No cutlery or napkins. Had a totally different feel to tge place. Won't be calling again.

The “owner” of the diner had long acrylic nails which I did not think was very hygienic also she was bad mouthing another business which I did not think was very professional.

Excellent service provided highly recommend this place for breakfasts and will definately be coming back for the steak and cake.

Visited twice in one day with the kids. Once for a treat of tea and cake; and found a great selection to choose from. Once for lunch where, again, the selection was great. The kids meals were cheap and delicious. Really appreciated the warm welcome and the kid friendly atmosphere the staff created.

We arrived at the cafe after a tiring walk with our puppy, only to find out they had just closed up and were cleaning down. We asked if there was anywhere else they could recommend as we were desperate for a cuppa, and a rest for our little pup, they kindly ushered us in and said they could fit us in for tea and cake. Despite clearing up from a long day and a big afternoon tea party, they cleaned down a table for us, fetched a big bowl of water for the dog and produced a gorgeous teapot and cups and some amazing slabs of homemade cake (chocolate for the boy, coconut & raspberry for me). The team were super friendly, and the cakes were both delicious - we were very thankful to have been made welcome when they didn’t need to - and we’re looking forward to making the time to go back properly.

cheap breakfast no thrills. Would have been bearable but ruined by the environment. Dirty, dated and in need of improvement. Seemed to be the whole family to do with owners in, swearing and kids running about unsupervised.

Me and my friend met for the first time in ages. Great service and great food. Nice and spaced out for social distancing. Food was spot as always and staff friendly.

It's not a good look to be smoking outside your shop! The lady with purple hair is very rude demonstrating hand gestures to road users. Great look for a business!

This was our first time at Unicorn Diner and we were very impressed, not just by the delicious freshly cooked breakfast, reasonable price and friendly staff but on talking to the owner we found out just how much they do for the community. They go above and beyond to provide Christmas dinners with afters to the elderly community on Christmas day at a nominal fee, they give their time to make sure people are looked after on a day they may be lonely or can't get to loved ones. The owner was very humble about it and only mentioned this because we were asking about times their open, joking that we would have breakfast there Christmas morning. Lovely genuine people and very touching they care so much. Thank you.

I've been to the unicorn diner on a number of occasions. The food is always delicious, prices very reasonable, staff very accommodating and the premises is always clean. Great place. Highly recommended.

Lovely clean Diner! Staff so lovely and friendly run by a brilliant boss. No job is too big for them. Happy to help with anything. Amazing breakfast. Would definitely recommend the Unicorn burger! Once again thank you to Faith and her staff for a lovely dining experience x

Terrible service ordered a breakfast sausages were rock hard and black .beans tasted out date .very rude towards me when I said beans were awful and sausages. The ladies toilets were filthy also

Dirty cafe, horrible microwave food, rude staff, nasty chef, bossy manager. Avoid at all costs, heard good things must have gone downhill since the move, go elsewhere

The lovely ladies of the Unicorn Diner cook all their food from scratch, all is homemade, nowt microwaved here.Nothing is too much to provide customers with a delicious tummy filling lunchies ! God Bless the Ladies of The Unicorn Diner !

We stopped here for brunch on our way for a week's holiday and then on the way back since we had such a good experience the previous week.So on our first visit at about 11:30 on a Saturday morning, our only complaint was that the street door didn't close properly so it was chilly. The service and food both were good. Boys enjoyed their milkshakes and cheesy chips, we enjoyed our breakfasts. We had pots of tea. The cost was £22 ish and I put the change into tips as I was so pleased with our experience.Such a difference on our return. We thought it would be good to repeat the pleasant experience. But we were wrong. We arrived about 12 the following Saturday. The waitress was very busy and someone else came to take an order from people who had arrived after us [and by the way, left after finishing their meal before we started ours]. After 20mins the waitress came to take our order. A further 10mins passed before my husband asked if we could at least have our drinks. One mug of tea was brought to the table. We asked if the other 3 of us could drink too! Eventually after 40mins our meals arrived. A lady arrived at our table and said that she'd heard we weren't happy - we told her that we had been waiting a long time. She told us that they fed the elderly [and also takeaways happened while we waited - the waitress seemed to be expected to do everything except cook].We said that we didn't have a problem with that, but no-one had told us anything and we'd had a lovely experience the previous week. As we began to eat, we heard the lady shouting at the waitress, telling her that we'd waited 20mins before ordering. The boys were transfixed by the drama. Then we began to eat. The chips were undercooked as obviously an effort had been made to get the meal to us in a hurry, no bread arrived with my breakfast [I was worried about complaining]. After this I left with the boys while my husband went to pay; the waitress began adding up the bill when the lady shoved her out of the way and asked how much the waitress had reached [she'd added 2 of our meals] and asked my husband to pay that amount . So he put away the £20note and took out a £10 note; then were was no change, so she just said 'Oh, just go away' and was so agitated that my husband thought she would have a heart attack. He put the £10 note into the tip box and left.The delay to our journey time meant that we hit traffic on our way home, being half an hour plus later than intended.

What can I say!? This ploughmans had everything you can imagine and more. Others in my party had Pies which were also delicious. I had a root beer float which was unique and tasty. A great selection of desserts. Excellent eatery and well worth coming!

The Unicorn Diner is an amazing place to visit. They have delicious breakfasts, lunches and deserts. Nothing is too much for the team, everybody is fabulous and will help you in any way they can. I would definitely recommend them!

Whilst I hadn't visited the Unicorn Diner before, many family and friends had. In fact, my parents have raved about the carvery and breakfasts ever since they first visited.

the unicorn caff is simply magic top food good prices very friendly staff make you fill at home best apple pie in Long Sutton go in as a customer and come out a friend don't change anything it's just spot on as it is will definitely be back.

For top food and services this is the place to go, good fresh home cooked food we have been back many times and will continue to do so the staff and owner have time for everyone. Keep up the grate work see you all soon phil and Stan

We “stumbled” across this little gem whilst recently visiting Long Sutton. Once inside instead of just the beverage we originally went in for we opted to eat as well, as the food looked appetising and well presented. My wife does have to be very aware of some dietary restrictions however this did not in anyway phase them. They were extremely accommodating in that respect also. All in all the visit and experience we had with this diner was of the highest standard and we would not hesitate to recommend it fully.

We went out to have afternoon tea for my birthday and the place we went to was closed. My husband wanted to just go home!! No No I said, I had passed a small cafe/diner on my travels and thought we should go give it a try. I am so HAPPY we did what a find all home made and so fresh. All the food was great 2 had sandwiches and they came with salad and home made coleslaw yum. My daughter had chocolate cake and went straight to chocolate heaven, I had a puff pastry turnover with bacon cheese & onion HOMEMADE !!! it was just so good. I am so glad we do not live far away we will be back. I will be telling all my friends.

If you want a place for a good value meal you could do worse than the Unicorn. The turkey roast was under £7 at Sunday lunch and the service was pleasant, if a bit slow. If unicorns are your thing, you can see how many you can spot. There is free parking in the Market Place outside, so head off the bypass and take a break in a proper café.

Staying in Long Sutton for weekend. Looking for somewhere to have breakfast. Came across The Unicorn Diner which was an immediate hit with my 10 year old daughter. Taking our varied requests of pancakes, bacon & Brie panini & full English breakfasts was easy!! Food was excellent & service was outstanding!! Lovely diner lovely owner Highly recommend!

Well several visits in and I feel like a proper regular,lovely staff welcoming friendly and helpful, always leave with a smile from this popular little gem .

Visited many times. With friends and loved ones. Each time such personal and friendly service. I am gluten free and cafe are epic in trying to accommodate. Such personal service. Well worth a visit xx

Cake was dry. Earl Grey tea not stocked. Cup was small, no teapot. Surroundings and service not particularly welcoming.

I took 2 of my girls for a treat while the other 1 was away.They loved the choices u could get and Faith the owner is a lovely lady who always gives 100% towards everyone, we all had milk shakes and a bit to eat before we left. We will deffinley be going back, as I've book my daughter's 14th birthday party there. They're well worth a visit u won't leave hungry and u'll always want to go back
