The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Newark and Sherwood East Midlands

All I can say is OMG!!! Not one bad thing to write. We stayed at centre parcs and wanted a special meal for our mums 80th birthday. Well from the interaction even before we arrived in helping us to sort balloons and a cake( made by them and was the best cake ever) out was just excellent. The service well, nothing was too much for you and in done in such a professional manner... and the food was exceptional and for 14 people to all be blown away..I would say that speaks for itself. I would recommend to anyone who visits centre parcs it's 12 min drive away and to definitely give it a try.. thank you again from everyone of us Date of visit: February 2025

Good food, great beer, friendly atmosphere. What more do you need?

Called in yesterday (7th March) with my family. Lots of choice for cakes & hot drinks. Sat inside but on a sunny day will try outside. A ramp to gain access inside for Mum using a Rollator. Struggled to park on the road outside so used car park at rear of gp surgery. Warm scones, will be back. No wonder our friend said give it a try & you will enjoy it.

An evening out for valentine's day. The food was brilliant. We came with friends and we both had the meat platter sharer for starter. For mains we both had the steak sharer. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a chat with the chef ( bob) who came over to ask how the food was. Excellent value for money. Me and my friends will recommend this to all our friends and family for good fresh food and great value.

I recently visited with some friends who are elderly. Noticed that they now have a waiting list and a buzzer service. We was all made to wait outside for over 20 minutes for a table. Told to go round the garden center to see if there is anything we would like to buy. Yet there was lots of empty tables and people coming back empty handed after walking round garden center. The point of the matter is if we wanted to buy something we would of. Not being tricked or forced into buying things. It's very clear to see that the garden center sales are down as now they are forcing people into buying. We will not be calling back till this buzzer episode is removed. So now not only have they lost sales in coffee shop also in garden center.... There are better places in the local area....

Went for Sunday lunch for my Daughter’s birthday. The food was amazing, meat was plentiful and vegetables were delicious. We were visiting Forest Lodges, but as we are fairly local, we will definitely visit again.

Brilliant little place. Very busy in the summer months, used by motorcyclists. Excellent veggie breakfast - first class. As was the meat breakfast. Lovely folk running it, dining inside is great, small, but with long pine bench type tables. Lots of outside, under cover seating. Toilets etc. Parking in big laybys alongside the cafe. We'll be coming here again, most definitely when next in the area (Sherwood Forrest, Clumber, Rufford - all very close).

Popped in one mid evening with my wife having not vited this pub for some 20 years. Was greeted by a lovely bar staff lady and to be homest with it being my birthday we was going to have a quick drink and go to a local Chinese restaurant, but we had a look at the menu and decided to eat here. The lady explained it may take a while as everything is cooked fresh. The food ww ordered was well worth the wait and the money. I wont be waiting another 20 years before popping back in

We’ve visited several times and it never fails to disappoint. The food is fresh, beautifully served and delicious. It is reasonably priced and well worth a visit

Wonderful dog friendly pub, attentive staff, good selection of drinks, good food, but small portions. Regardless would recommend.

I was looking forward to dining here as a coeliac but the service I had wasn’t exactly accompanied with a smile. The gluten free pancakes that I ordered were delicious but unfortunately they clearly were not gluten free due to the terrible reaction I had later on that day.. very disappointing. Even though I confirmed with the waitress that the pancakes were gluten free!

Have been here occasionally over the years and the food is consistently good and freshly prepared. The staff are consistently average, always seem a bit annoyed or irritated. Despite menu saying they take food orders till 2:30pm, they said they stopped serving at 2pm rather rudely. They regularly run out of some items, but on the whole, a decent place to have some breakfast, coffee or lunch. The place could be cleaner. Whilst it is an old building, it could do with a bit of TLC.
