We were staying for 1 night after a family get together. Checking in was very easy, with a key left outside your room, so you could check in at your leisure. Rooms were gorgeously furnished, with everything you could possibly need and very clean. Really pretty flower borders just outside our bedrooms. All of us slept well in the very comfortable beds. Breakfast was amazing and we felt well catered for as vegetarians. We’re looking for an excuse to come back and stay here, we had such a good stay!

Absolutely stunning place, the room was gorgeous with a beautiful bathroom too. Everything you could need, including white dressing gowns and lovely soft towels. We stayed on our way to Lowestoft and liked it that much booked to stay on our way back ! We got the same room and the owners were good enough to cater for our elderly Labrador too. All home comforts and more , spotlessly clean and super comfy (king) bed. We had breakfast which was delicious, full English and toast, juice and coffee for £10 each, well worth it. Highly recommend x

Recently celebrated my 60th birthday party in the separate function room, known as the Barn, as I wanted somewhere local. The venue was perfect, the food scrummy, and the staff could not do enough, even taking drinks orders when it rained and getting wet themselves rather than the guests. The separate bar is a great idea giving more space in the room; the courtyard area was perfect for energetic children to safely burn off some energy and have fun together when it stopped raining. I have visited many times for lunch and will continue to do so, as now will many of my guests. The Old King's Head is an asset to the village. Thank you for helping make my celebrations special.

Have just been for afternoon tea. The sandwich fillings were generous and the cakes were to die for. Happily they gave us some boxes to take home what we couldn't manage. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back

From the start Vicky, Nathan and the team provided us with fantastic service and made everything easy and stress free. The whole team were so attentive and they truly cared that we had the best day. The afternoon tea was delicious and went down a treat with our guests. The accomdation was modern, tastefully decorated and so clean. We had the best day! The venue was perfect for us 💕 Thank you so much all, we really apprecaited everything you did for us x P.S - Thanks for sorting the music, I completely forgot about it 😉

We have done our last couple of meetings here. The outbuilding is perfect to host it in. Just the right size and coffee and tea on tap. Yesterday we made use of the Christmas menu. I have to say it was superb. I went for the crayfish and prawn cocktail, the osso buco and the eggnog tart , all if which were great. The standout was the main. The beef was cooked to perfection, the mash was smooth and creamy and the gravy was lovely. Hats off to you guys, looking forward to the next visit even though I live in Norwich!

Had the most amazing meal for a 90th birthday but had the festive menu so doubled up as an a early family Christmas get together. Food was superb, top quality. Service was amazing, staff so kind and helpful both before and during our experience. Highly recommend. Some of our family were staying over in the B&B rooms, had a peek in one of the the rooms they look such high quality and cozy, great venue all round, thank you to all the staff

Spent 6 nights here. Room was very comfortable and clean. The food was very good and reasonably priced and the staff were very helpful and friendly. 3 miles from Boston made it a good place for touring. EV charging on site was extremely handy. We had a great stay

Stayed just one night. Very nice room, sparkling clean and comfortable. The floor of my room was a bit sloping but it's an old building so to be expected. Excellent breakfast. Bit of traffic noise in the morning, but would recommend. Very convenient for RSPB Frampton.

We looked for a quiet, one night stop-over in a village near to Boston. A revamped pub seemed to be a reliable option. Sociable it was not; instructions for access, though accurate, were full of the advantages of time-saving and lack of paperwork. It worked fine, however, part of the joy of travelling is meeting people. Our room was excellent: did we need the “fluffy dressing gowns, huge bath towels and wonderful huge bed (the equivalent of the much publicised Premier Inn)? Answer - not at this price for overnight - probably my mistake. The location was our main negative. By choosing a village, we hoped for a quiet night but it was not to be; the roads were busy until late and again in the early morning. As mentioned by others, we also question the use of a green nightlight in the ceiling which cannot be turned off - it drove my wife crazy. The stairs to our room, the Read Room, were tight and curving.

A remarkable building renovation with food and friendly staff to match. The atmosphere is relaxed with tables well spaced apart and each located next to examples to true Lincolnshire craftsmanship. Food is cooked to order from a varied menu.

Booked this as my dog had a big operation at the vets in the village. Perfect location room very nice everything you want was there . The only down side was the tv it was impossible to get any channels due to the portable ariel so give up after 30 minutes of trying . Sadly I think £90 a night is a bit steep considering no TV. On the other hand it's a android TV so if you had netflix your laughing .

Stayed for two nights this week. I've stayed here before and will definitely be back soon. Once again, everything was perfect - comfortable room and a great venue, delicious cooked breakfast and fabulous staff. The Old King's Head is a stone's throw from historic Boston, and the fantastic birdwatching at RSPB Frampton Marsh. Thank you Vicky and the team - faultless again!!

Myself & my wife stayed for one night ( booked via Booking.com). We could not have wished to stay in a better place. Great location, very well equipped, lots of nice touches, warm, comfortable beds, great shower etc etc. The flexibility of the team there was very much appreciated. I had to cancel the first date for various reasons, but Jonny & Vicky were kind enough to move the booking to a later date without fuss or additional charges - thank you. The Old Kings Head is pretty unique ( owned by Lincolnshire Heritage Trust) and is run in a unique kind of way. We look forward to staying there again for longer. We recommended them to a business we were dealing with.

I was looking forward to dining here as a coeliac but the service I had wasn’t exactly accompanied with a smile. The gluten free pancakes that I ordered were delicious but unfortunately they clearly were not gluten free due to the terrible reaction I had later on that day.. very disappointing. Even though I confirmed with the waitress that the pancakes were gluten free!
