Really lovely place and the food in the tearoom was amongst the best you'll find. We had paninis and they were delicious. Friendly staff too. We didn't buy plants as we are not local, but overheard one of the staff talking to other customers and he was clearly extremely knowledgeable. The plants were all super healthy, lots of choice and very well priced as often garden centre plants are over priced. Only thing I'd say is that it's fabulous this place is more than happy for dogs to visit too, but couldn't see that on the website anywhere, or on any signs, so we had to park up and ask first, so might be worth including this and advertising it as the place may miss out on some custom. Lovely gem of a place though, thoroughly recommend!

How fantastic to discover this fily run gem of a garden centre! Visited on a whim last Sunday and were more than pleased with the experience so much so we repeated the hour long trip there and back on Tuesday . Superb tea room, efficient and speedy service with excellent food....never tasted a better quiche! Plant prices extremely reasonable with plants of high quality. This is not a place for all those big centre books gifts and other tat and all the more refreshing for it. Thank goodness for a centre which is conglomerate free. In a way sorry to write this review as more people will be there next time we go which I guess wont be long.

Unspoilt little nursery - excellent value plants with a little gem of a tea room. Amazing cakes. Coffee and Walnut is my favourite but a close second is the Chocolate & cola. Well worth a visit.

We arrived at our camp site not having had lunch and having read so many rave reviews about the tea room here we eagerly headed off. Into the tea room we went and read the list of attractive sounding sandwiches. Having made our choice I turned to the two smiling waitresses and gave them my order only to be told they stopped serving lunch at 3.pm. Glanced at my watch, 3.05. Nothing for it so gutted we left. Not so much complaining here but giving a word of warning as the only times I could find was that the rea room is open 10.00-4.00.

This is a proper family run nursery rather than a large garden centre with prices to match. They grow a lot of their own plants, have a good selection at competitive prices and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Large car park. For a nursery of this size and a place to have a drink.

Best place to buy plants for the garden. Good to make time to visit the cafe where there is an abundance of delicious, freshly homemade cakes and scones. They also provide light lunches, yet to indulge myself.

The main purpose of a visit is to peruse the garden plants trees and products all of which are very reasonably priced. You would however miss one of the main attraction which is the tea shop with its straight forward sandwiches cake and light snacks with pleasant staff and atmosphere and an excellent large pot of tea.A very welcoming place just Like nurseries used to be.

I met up with friends here as it’s a convenient half way stop for us. We all had something different for lunch from the menu and everything was fresh & tasty. It’s only a small tea room (but has outdoor seating for the better weather) so the place soon filled up. Get there early!

This nursery if full of fantastic healthy plants at realistic prices. Most of the plants are home grown which obviously saves on the cost. An added bonus for us is that we can take our dog as everything is outside except for the Tea Room, which has adequate seating outside. The staff were friendly and chatty!

This is a proper nursery rather than large garden centre. They grow a lot of their own plants, have a good selection at competitive prices and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Large car park. For a nursery of this size, the cafe has a surprisingly wide and varied menu with outside and indoor seating. It was a real pleasure to sit outside in the hot sun facing the shrubs and plants, with a cappuccino and cream and jam scone.Well worth a visit for the nursery and cafe. Easy to find from Lincoln - not far off the A46.

Enjoyed the coffee and cake here, glad I noticed the brown sign on the road and stopped for a break! The toilets are in a separate block next door, the gents need to be cleaned to a higher standard. Also, I couldn't get any hot water out of the tap?

We've visited a few times now whilst passing on our bikes. Quite unassuming from outside but have always been very impressed and happy to stop by for coffee and cake at any time.Small but perfectly formed the Tea Room is always spotlessly clean, offers a range of cakes to sandwiches & light meals to Sunday dinners that is quite remarkable given it's small size and service is always excellent. It's very easy to visit a coffee shop/tea room and be let down by small details but the owners of this tea room have got it right, clean, good service, good food & coffee, good value. Highly recommended when passing or for a trip out from Newark or Lincoln.

We live in Lincoln and spotted the Brown road signs for the tea room after taking the back roads from Newark. The tea room is not very big, but seating outside if busy inside.Plenty of choice, sandwiches, soup, beans on toast, panini's, cream scones, and cakes made locally. We had the egg sandwiches with delicious homemade coleslaw and side salad and the cheese and red onion panini. All freshly made and delicious.Staff very friendly and happy to accommodate my request for a plain egg sandwich instead of egg mayonnaise. Reasonably priced.Nursery well stocked with plants.Would definitely return.

MORE AT TripAdvisor

This small Tea Room and Nursery is situated a couple of miles off the A46. The Tea Rooms has seating both inside and outside and serves a good selection of 'Light Bites'. We had Ham Sandwiches served on Wholemeal Bread. The Piccalilli on the lean ham was extremely delicious. The Pot of Tea for Two served four cups each! The price was £10.40 which we thought to be a bargain. The two members of staff who took our order and served us were friendly, smartly dressed and efficient. The Nursery is extremely well stocked with a good selection of bedding, planted hanging baskets, perennials, roses, shade-loving plants, alpines, conifers, climbers, shrubs, ornamental trees, grasses, bamboos, herbs, soft fruit and fruit trees, many different vegetable plants and garden ornaments. In addition, there are many different types of compost etc. available. The prices are extremely comperitive and the quality well above average.I would reccomend both the Tea Room and Nursery unreservedly.
