The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Harborough East Midlands

Our coffee tasted watered down. The stars I have given are basically for how beautiful the place is. But it’s not ran well. It’s a shame as we’ve been coming for years as a family. We had a latte and a cappuccino. The latte had a very watery texture. I’m used to lattes with skimmed milk, this wasn’t that. It tasted watered down and lacking in flavour. The cappuccino didn’t have the texture of a cappuccino, more like water. The froth seemed to just disintegrate and the whole texture was thin and tasteless. We didn’t bother to complain because the staff were so busy, we simply couldn’t be bothered especially after having queued for so long. We’ve complained on a previous disappointing visit and haven’t found them to be receptive (the Google review replies indicate they haven’t changed, so what’s the point?) Won’t be coming back in a rush. Why on earth they have 1 member of staff serving when the queue is huge, I have no idea. Theres a clear lack of urgency to get the queue down. Overall another poor experience, such as shame as the place itself is wonderful.

Outstanding food and exceptional service by SAI made my birthday meal truly special. Can't wait to come back!

We have been to the Fox Pond for the last two Sunday. We find the staff are always welcoming. The food is of good standard. I used the App on the last visit to order drinks, which were delivered by Josh within 2 minutes of the order. Great friendly guy.

Don’t know if it is because they were busy but staff had could not care less attitude. Not an excuse! Service poor, asked for sauce and was told to wait, 7 minutes later asked again, then when they brought it was put on the table with a bang. Smell of damp and toilets. The only friendly person was the barman.

Came here for a birthday meal. Food was full of flavour and reasonably priced. Will be eating here again

Came with my wife as we generally have the meal deal and we both chose Lasagne with garlic bread . This was possibly the worst lasagne I’ve had . There was no substance to the filling it was more like a thin gravy with minced beef . The garlic bread was just as bad it smelt like garlic bread it even looked like garlic bread but that was as good as it got

We came to the pub to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday, from start to finish they were nothing but fantastic, we pre ordered as there were 22 of us, nothing was too much trouble and communication was great. Food and service was also fantastic one of the party commented it was the best pub steak they’ve ever had! It catered for us all from my dad enjoying the pedigree beer to the kids enjoying the play area and bouncy castle. We will definitely return, I can’t recommend highly enough. It’s had to find a traditional country pub that all ages can enjoy. Thanks to you all at the Hollybush for a great evening 🙌

Haven’t visited in a while but so disappointed with today’s visit. Firstly no chocolate ice cream, surely this is a basic staple? No visible menu to look at the sundaes or desserts. Banana split with a manky old banana and pistachio ice cream which had no taste. Overall a waste of £28 and a planned visit. Won’t be back!

Great place to take kids to. Lovely ice cream and well worth the price. Especially the large tubs to take home for the freezer!

Such a shame. Coffee is great. Am a big cafe Nero fan but not of this branch. Have tried several times now with no change will move to an independent when I visit MH in future...really sad. No customer eye contact. No smiles. No hellos. One female staff member has a job to speak when I visit let alone serve you..often just chooses to do other things whether there is a queue or not. I seldom bother writing reviews of places that I have been to that have been poor as I prefer to be positive - but we go to Foxton Locks regularly and this place annoyed me. First up, the coffee is poor. They have a push button coffee machine. Really guys? Everywhere on the high street has an expresso machine. All the other local places have one too. So why not you? Better coffee and at £2.50 for an Americano I expect an expresso machine made coffee. They can’t do hot milk with the coffee. What? No microwave, no milk chafing machine, no steam wand, nothing. Cold milk only. Guys, it’s 2020. If we can put man on the moon we can get hot milk in Foxton. “Sorry it’s a busy time”. So put the menus on each table so that customers don’t have to ask for one and it saves staff time. Get the staff to carry a tray when they go into the restaurant so that they can clear crockery from tables before they return to the counter. Pop a small damp cloth on that tray so staff can immediately wipe clean the table that they have just cleared. Get the staff in for 60 mins training very soon so that they have a clue about what they are trying to do. They are lovely, they are willing but they need a small amount of training and shown what “good staff” look like and do.

Booked for an afternoon tea. Upon entering the tearoom I was a little disappointed by the pervasive smell of fried food. The food itself was disappointing both in it quality, and presentation. I ordered an early grey and was charged extra as this was not included. I asked for some extra hot water and when I paid the bill I found I had been charged for 2 earl greys. Water in Lutterworth is obviously at a premium. I didn't challenge the bill as we were celebrating a birthday.

Looking for something just off the A6 for Sunday Lunch, great find will return, lovely homemade Sunday Lunch in a nice setting with car parking, friendly staff, good range of beers although driving limited me to tea.

Not sure why this place is always so busy when there are lots if great little independent cafes nearby. Staff are a bit useless, there were hardly any cakes etc on my last visit, tables cramped in. Two stars as the coffee is quite nice and they have a good loyalty scheme but that wont be enough to tempt me back, im afraid.
