The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in England

Took the parents out on Sunday and visited Anwick Garden Centre. After having a wander around the Garden Centre and purchasing a few items, we went into the cafe to have a drink and chose to dine, as it was lunch time (13:30ish). I went with the house Cheese Burger and both parents went with the Sunday Roast (on this occasion Beef). I had a can of soda (Vimto) and the parents each had a pot of tea. Food wise, the burger was well cooked and chips and salad were also good and overall it was a great portion for the price. The parents both really enjoyed the beef and the roast potatoes, the only issue being the vegetables, both would have preferred it slightly more cooked, and father would have liked a slight larger vegetable portion. Overall though, we’ll be visiting again, and I would recommend a visit if you’re in the area…

Consistently good food, salads are a huge portion and taste fresh. Great service too! My favourite lunch place for miles.

Theres not enough stars to rate this lovely place. Walking through the door you are transported back to Greece, the music playing, the authentic decor and the amazing food all make for a most ejoyable evening. Aris, the owner and his son greeted us and came round to chat during the night while serving us. Theres so much to choose from on the menu but I had been recomended the mix mezze platter which we had with a bottle of white wine, which I thought may be too much but as it was served at a relaxing slow pace this gave us plenty of time to savour every mouthful and get lost in the ambiance of the evening. I was hoping for some greek dancing but that will have to wait for another time!!

Let’s start with the best part of the meal…the dessert. The gluten free gingerbread pudding was one of the best GF desserts I’ve eaten. Outstanding. (Came back the next night to get it to go.) The fish curry for the main really lacked flavor. I dumped a couple of tablespoons of their hot sauce and it helped greatly. The pork belly was fine. Tasted like basic BBQ sauce on it. And thanks to the chap in the pic who is sticking his tongue out at the camera.

The restaurant that is also sort of a café is very good. The prices are good as well. The staff is very nice.

Order food at the bar and they bring it out to you. Friendly staff. Bit pricey. Lovely view from balcony onto the river. Awkward to use toilets if disabled, not much room.

We were greeted with a very lovely lady, who was cheerful & very helpful, a lovely little cafe, clean bright, food delicious we both had the special crab sandwiches which were delicious, I didn’t know it came with tomato’s so took them out the lady did say next time just ask to take them out. However the latte was half full with foam which was a shame as it was lovely coffee & I liked that they gave me the choice of 1 or 2 shots of coffee. Very well priced altogether.

It was Mothering Sunday. We hadn't booked and only stopped because we were on our way to Cornwall. I popped my head around the door and asked if they could squeeze us and our little pug Edward onto a table. The Landlady said she could. The place was packed but the service was brilliant. I had a pint of Stag which was delicious and then had the Fish and Chips which was notable because the batter wasn't overly thick. Really succulent fish too. Wife had the goat burger which was a triumph. Super little place with a car park bordering a small holding so you can look at the chicken and ducks. Highly recommended and absolutely worth stopping at!

We stayed in the village for 2 night and ended up eating here both nights. No where else took our fancy and it was really good that we came back second night. The prawn starter was amazing and the pie!! Really good service, good variety on menu and delicious food. It was just what we needed after long walks both days!!

Okay food, not nearly tasty enough to make it worth supporting the owner. It is known among staff he preys on his young, vulnerable employees. Co-owner of his other restaurant is quick to offer cash for silence, cannot emphasize enough to support any other business

WOW…a little gem. Best fritto misto and steak frittes in St.Ives. Cooked perfectly. Not to mention the amazing crab sandwiches loaded with crab (lots of white crab meat and not the horrible brown stuff). Warm, welcoming service. I’ll be back soon.
