The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in England

Called in here today with my husband around 2pm for lunch,sat at a table that had bits of food on it and dirty plates so got up and moved to a clean table as two had dirty pots on them,read on the menu you had to take note of your table number and go in the next room to order your food,a lady was serving customers at the counter it was a take away too,I asked for two vegetable soups,the lady said I think there is only one left,I will check,she checked with the kitchen who told her there was enough for two people,so I as pleased and ordered granary bread to come with it and our drinks,our drinks came with no spoons,so I got up to the cutlery tray and got them.A couple had come in and sat at the dirty table,they blew the crumbs off,it was still dirty,we waited a good 20 minutes for our soup,a young waitress brought it out to us,with the bread,no knife to spread the butter,so I got up again and went to the cutlery tray to get two,there wasn't any,I had to go into the other room to ask for some,I sat down,saw about a third of a bowl full of beige water with bits of green floating on the top,my husband was drinking his,it was like water,I tasted on spoonful and stood up with it and took it back,I told the lady on the counter I was not eating that it was dish water,I put the spoon in and showed her how it ran straight off,she asked if I wanted something else or a refund,I asked for a refund,went and sat down and ate my bread and cup of tea,the waitress had taken the dirty tables order and asked them if they wanted the pots clearing away,the customer's face was a picture,we finished our drinks,went back to the counter and was apologised to and was refunded the soup money,never been to Ely before won't put me off this town,but will not return to that cafe.

THIS GARDEN CENTRE IS NOT DOBBIES. IT WAS TAKEN OVER BY GATES GARDEN CENTRES. UP UNTIL NOW, WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TAKE OUR DOG WITH US. SHE IS A LOVELY DOG AND IS NEVER ANY BOTHER. BUT GATES, IN THERE WISDOM, HAVE PUT A BLANKET BAN ON ALL DOGS GOING INTO THE CENTRE, LET ALONE THE CAFE. WE WERE STOPPED AT THE DOORS BY STAFF. BOTH MYSELF AND MY FRIEND ARE DISABLED AND WE ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO A TRIP OUT, HOWEVER ON THIS OCCASION, WE WERE REFUSED ENTRY. SO WE WENT HOME. THANKS VERY MUCH GATES. I THINK GATES HAVE MADE A BIG MISTAKE. WHENEVER WE HAVE VISITED BEFORE, THERE HAVE BEEN A NUMBER OF OWNERS THERE WITH DOGS. THERE WAS NEVER A PROBLEM. AT A TIME WHEN MANY CAFE'S, RESTAURANTS AND SHOPS OPERATE AN OPEN DOOR POLICY TO DOGS, BRINGING IN MORE CUSTOMERS AND MORE TRADE, GATES HAVE NOW LOST ALL OF THOSE CUSTOMERS. CRACKERS OR WHAT!!! ONE MORE PLACE OFF OUR VISITING LIST.

Great British breakfast The waffle stack was good too. Friendly staff .. when in Canterbury give them a try …. We will be back and will not hesitate to recommend to my friends

5 mins wait for a small latte …after no queue for order and payment…. for £4.10 a better service would be appreciated. I have been a customer here for many years.

El servicio al cliente era inaceptable. Muy lento, desorganizado. Esperó siglos para el jugo y los sándwiches, masa de pulpa en el fondo del jugo, no tenía esto antes. La señora detrás de la caja tenía guantes puestos para hacer sándwiches, entonces estaba barriendo y entrando en la cocina con la basura, no estoy seguro de que los cambió para volver a hacer sándwiches? Ella decidió barrer los pisos cuando había una gran cola de gente haciendo sus pedidos. Claramente dejárselo a sus dos colegas. Cuando el sándwich estuvo listo lo puso en el mostrador, sin llamar. Honestamente, sólo se veía miserable, molesta, no puede molestarse. Si te hace sentir tan mal, ve a hacer otra cosa

El personal era grosero e incompetente. Pedí un capuchino y me dieron lo que me dijeron que era un capuchino. Lo probé y me di cuenta de que era un café con leche helado de vainilla, así que cortésmente expliqué que me habían dado la bebida equivocada. Esto dio lugar a que dos personas discutieran conmigo diciendo que no había escuchado, que no cometen errores y que tomé la bebida de otra persona. Esto no fue absolutamente el caso, aprecio otro punto de vista de las personas, pero el personal era agresivo. Viajaba hoy y no soy local, me sentí muy poco bienvenido debido a sus altos niveles de agresión. Viendo las otras reseñas, es poco probable que a alguien le importe esto, así que esta es una advertencia para cualquiera que pase por aquí.

Awful customer service, the woman serving was rude, no manners and had really bad customer service skills. On approaching the counter she said “don’t bother looking on there at the kids menu cos we haven’t got most of it” this was at 1pm, surely a cafe wouldn’t sell out at this time. I was with 2 of my friends and we had 5 children between us, they all ate their food with abit of giggling and silliness Inbetween but weren’t naughty. They then went to sit on the higher stools and we told them to sit still, they were alittle loud and one of them stood on the side bar of the table. They were told to get down to which the same member of staff shouted across the cafe and other customers in a clever tone “they can’t be climbing, there’s people with hot drinks!” I looked over in shock at her! You’d of thought our kids were running riot. The worst service we’ve received in there! Absolutely no need for her attitude.

Came in for breakfast this morning and what a lovely looking cafe.

As a truck driver Iv visited some terrible places,this crown cafe in Windsor is the worst of the worst,25£ for 2 full English breakfast and a pot of tea,the food was under cooked,even the egg!never eat here!

Great venue staff helpful, venue covid secure well pleased. Desi night with a few top English hits. Will come again. They have a cloak room for just a £1 which is helpful in this weather.

Stopped for a break on our journey with the intention of using the facilities and grabbing a brew. Facilities were filthy. We were told there was no English breakfast tea……. In a coffee shop??! How is that even possible??!! Surely that’s a staple stock item and you reorder when you reach a certain level! Then we were told we weren’t allowed in with our dog and there was a sign on the door. There was a tiny sign on the left of the door about cctv which, in the bottom corner had a tiny symbol to say no dogs. So upon that and upon receiving such rubbish customer service we went to McDonald’s next door to grab a brew. Oh - and Starbucks was empty too, only 2 customers in and we realised why!

I’m struggling to understand some of the reviews about Cherry’s as I had amazing experience. It’s a cheerful and cozy environment. The decor has been carefully chosen to create a delightful welcoming space. The staff are lovely and helpful and the food was delicious. I’m just sad that I was limited for time as I could have spent a lot more time there. The owner is certainly very creative and I have looked forward to visiting Cherry’s for some time and it really didn’t disappoint. Well done Cherry 😊

Usually love a Starbucks but this branch is awful. Staff are miserable and not helpful. The last three times I have been in there for breakfast (very early), there are no signature breakfast sandwiches on the half empty shelves so the last time I just left with the intention of never returning. There are plenty of other business in Wilmslow that I would rather give my money to.

Visited for coffee and cake after a lovely afternoon walk , looking forward to the treat and needed the loo! Wished we hadn’t of bothered. Staff ok, but totally switched off to customer service. Toilets were filthy and condiments area also shocking both hadn’t had a clean all day by the looks of it . Come on Starbucks Shute up your game and get cleaning your restaurant ! We’re Recently back from NYC and the experience was completely different in The Empire State Starbucks - Like a spotless luxury hotel experience. Soap and water is available to all Starbucks to ensure good hygiene .

We decided to give this café another try as we heard it had a new manager. Coffee was good this time around and it now serves hot food. We had the bacon cheese burger and toasted tea cake, which came out in good time, surprisingly as it was Saturday and the Cafe was busy. Much better.
