It’s not even funny! Hungry people sat disappointed, waiting forever. Literally 25 minutes waiting for a breakfast! Go into the shop and buy the ingredients and then cook them at home!

Wow, went on the 5th of April at about 9~30 in the morning. Just had a bacon sandwich, nobody really in the café. So you would think it would be nice! No the bacon was cold and the cob was hard and horrible, should have complain but was totally disappointed so just walked out.

Hard poached eggs, dried out sausages, tired mushrooms, luke-warm beans....only toast was good...oh and the tea I made myself. Awful and not what you normally get from a Morrisons Cafe. Avoid.

I had the misfortune today of using the cafe in Morrisons Worksop. Firstly the table was not clean and had to wipe it with sanitiser and tissue. We ordered 3 teas and 3 cheese and ham toasties. 5 pierces of cutlery were filthy, still had food on the knives and forks. 5 in total.. had to look through the mugs to get a clean one and the T-Pots weren’t much better. We got the tea and put a milk in the cup, there was a big blob of sour milk in both cups, on inspecting the packs they were mouldy!!! It smelt so bad. I complained and returned both cups and cutlery to be told to just get a fresh one, I had to ask for more milk to be fetched from the back fridges as wasn’t happy with using the milk out the front. She took it and showed the manager who didn’t come and apologise. When I told the staff member about the cutlery she said don’t know how that happened we keep putting them through the dishwasher. When the toasties arrived they were disgusting. There was something in the cheese that had a weird taste. I will not be visiting this cafe again and I suggest that the environmental Health should take a spot visit. I work in food myself and if I ran my business like that I would be shut down.

Called in Wednesday 5th January for a bacon sandwich and coffee with my wife, the attitude of the member of staff on the till who took our order left a lot to be desired, her colleagues were all really nice but she certainly had an attitude issue . When the sandwiches arrived they were pretty poor value for money at 2.95 each not a good advert for morrisons when they are always going on about customer service and value for money. Come on Morrisons you can do betteri it's a tough world out there.

Went for the vegan breakfast , although the content/ quality was ok, there were several cold items like the tomato and large mushrooms . Sausages were just warm not hot . Also I had to ask for extras as I wanted more ‘veg’. The cost of extras were 75 pence for half a tomato and 75 pence for one mushroom . I think this needs to be looked at as it’s rather extortionate. No choice of toast, and as I’m not keen on white I wasn’t too happy . Also I’ve found out that a friend had ordered the vegan breakfast in another store recently, and the content was different . I think it needs to be the same whichever store it’s purchased at . Also the tables had not been wiped down and there was grease and crumbs on the table not good at all knowing the tables hadn’t been sanitised , especially with covid !

I have shopped in a number of Morrisons stores an most are very good but this one appalling, no signage for how to que for tills during COVID, as I walked down the wrong isle to que I was rudely gobbed at by a member of staff instead of being asked politely and re directed, when I asked where the signs were they got very defensive and pointed to the only sign witch could not be seen from where I was, social distancing is particularly impossible and the place is scruffy Avoid at all costs

At the peak of corona virus we were required to file in like we were on our way directly to the gallows. Once inside supplies were short (understandably in the circumstances) I was barked at by the Commandant who had been freshly been promoted from checkout supervisor a day before. She chose to direct me to a mega maze which had been hastily constructed in the clothing area,,One hour later I was back at the empty checkout area where I had been a hour before,I had to then present myself to the commandant to await instruction. Not a great shopping day.

Use this supermarket on the odd occasion. The food choice is absolutely awful as it’s never available. This is constant. Over 4 visits ( never again) choices have been not on. On two occasions we we’re not advised until 15 minutes after paying and sitting down. How can a massive supermarket mid morning or mid afternoon during peak hours always be out of main menu prime choices??? No manager ever available for comment surprisingly 🙄. Comments like it’s not my fault or I would have to get it out of the freezer are really poor and smack of bad preparation and ordering ability. Whoever is responsible for ordering the amounts of food is blatantly incapable of correctly carrying out their role. An audit Must be carried out to see what your Monthly usage of items is. Your way off and short always. Come on Morrison’s your getting battered all over by your competitors on this point. Won’t ever be back it’s poor and you don’t care !!!! Stay away unless you want no food of your choice

Stopped in for some lunch as we in the area. Most of the menu options were “not available” so we picked a basic scampi meal and a hot drink. Only one of the two drinks machines was working but still that can happen, we chose a seat that didn’t still have left over food that had not been cleared away. I realised we had picked up any cutlery so went back, plenty of knives but no forks. No sugar and no teaspoons. We had spotted two plates sitting under a heat lamp and joked about how long the food had been there and then ten minutes later a member of staff arrived at our table with the same two plates that had been sitting under the heat lamp. When we ordered I was expecting Scampi and chips however what turned up was a few pieces of dried scampi, a very small amount French fries, half a plate of dried anemic peas and some bread so thickly spread with butter that after the heat lamp was actually dripping. Very poor experience all round. I could have forgiven all of this if the place was busy but there was hardly any one in, maybe now I know why!!

We went here for a couple of vegan breakfasts. Nice store, mainly older people and no screaming brats (when we were there). We were going to get some of the nice cakes and muffins, but they were uncovered. Food should not be in the open where people can breathe or even cough on it.

We have been here a few times for shopping, it seems to be a new store. Full of old people who stubbornly keep going to the same supermarkets, even though they are more expensive than others. We just go in here when we are in the area and only for a few items. The service is slow, everything is in slow motion and cashiers like to have a chat to the customers like those waiting have nothing better to do.The cafe wasn't was nice, and full of old people. The usual foods and hot drinks available. We just grabbed a few things to go.If you weren't in a hurry after your shopping, then you could sit in here and look out at the carpark.

This was a Monday lunchtime meal for 6 friends, and due to a cancelled walk beforehand because of the heavy rain, we arrived very early, but as our reserved table was available we were promptly seated. Excellent start, and having been given menus, ordered drinks and placed meal orders everything was fine. Starters arrived, a couple of Garlic Mushrooms with Rustic bread looked fine. My Japanese Karaage dish ( chicken pieces in spicy batter with harissa) wasn’t great, the batter whilst crispy on the outside, was soggy inside and the chicken pieces inside were very small, not breast meat but looked like thigh. The harissa was actually a harissa inspired mayo dip, very spicy but nice for it. For main course, three of us had Sea Bass fillets with crushed garlic potatoes with a wine and cheese sauce with green beans and carrots. Very nicely presented, however I’ve never had a plated meal which was so hot ( except for oven baked lasagne, fish pie etc) in particular the potatoes which were sliced and not crushed. At a guess, the plated meals had been waiting under the heated lamps on the pass for some time whilst other meals were ready. The sea bass was rather dry because of this, but copious amounts of white wine and cheese sauce provided in a gravy boat moistened the fish nicely. However, I’d much rather have a very hot meal rather than tepid or verging on cold as I experienced on more than one occasion. Our friends had a chicken and mushroom pie (thick soggy crust), a lamb and mint pie, and a plain butterflied chicken breast, all with accompanying vegetables, everything well presented. After this we waited and waited and waited, then had to shout to the bar for dessert menus half an hour after finishing main courses. Desserts weren’t great, 3 of us had a gluten free NY baked cheesecake which was very grainy and not pleasant, the mixed berries were not defrosted properly and the ice cream was bland. Others had apple and blackberry crumble and no one managed more than half of their dish, which comprised roughly 70% crumble and 30% fruit. Unfortunately not many complements were forthcoming. Again after finishing desserts we had to shout to the bar for attention for hot drinks to finish with. Coffee was nice, but the tea drinkers weren’t impressed, there was ‘just tea’ available, no varieties, and what arrived was very weak. The cardinal sin, apart from having no Sticky Toffee pudding available was that there was no interest in clearing our dessert dishes away, and these were left in front of us until we vacated the table to pay at the bar. At this time the pub wasn’t busy and staff were more interested in chatting to themselves rather than dealing with diners. Not once throughout our meal were we asked if everything was alright with our good. Maybe they were embarrassed by the about of food left uneaten on everyone’s plates. From their website and meal descriptions it looks like The Chequers is positioning itself as a Gastro pub, but it’s nowhere near to what I’d expect. It’s difficult to pin down an identity for their cuisine, having American, Chinese, Thai, German, English, Mexican, Mediterranean, Japanese, Moroccan and Italian dishes on the menu, but my suspicion is that many of the meals are bought in meals preprepared for catering. I may be wrong here, but that’s how it looks. Overall we thought it was a less than average experience which wouldn’t be difficult to improve with a bit of attention to detail, quality over quantity and better consideration from the serving staff. Oh, and the wi-if was not working 🤷🏻‍♂️

Great coffee. Poor service. Six customers stood waiting for coffees to be made. One girl working her butt off trying to make coffees and hand food out whilst another girl just stood behind the till doing nothing, a man disappeared on his break and two other girls outside having a cigarette. Need I say more 🙄

I hired out there function room July 2024, price was reasonable for what you got, I was able to provide my own food/DJ. As for the so called “staff” half of them did not even work there they were “helping out a friend” so no bar experience at all. Had to ask them to go and buy basic fruit for drinks from Asda as there was none at all. Had to explain what drinks we wanted and what was in them. They were charging us wrong every time we bought a drink, £22 for two Hugo Sprits then £16 for one. When we asked about this they had no explanation. There seemed to be no one in charge of the function, just looked like had no clue what they were doing. The bartender Emily was the one who helped the most (as she was the only one who worked there). Would not recommend to have a function here if you want it run by people who do not know what they are doing.
