I came here to relax with my partner. And instead, I’ll be leaving absolutely reeling. I have never felt the need to send back food, but when given a cold burger, I had got just over a quater way through it and felt like it wasn’t right. My partner then had to go find someone to complain as no one had been to the table to check how our food was. Eventually was asked if I would like Something else. To which I got a gourmet burger instead… clearly the chef was annoyed that I sent the first burger back. So this time I got a cremated burger. Again… before anyone had even come to check if things were okay this time… my partner had to go find someone to send this one back. In public. This wasn’t an issue for the staff. However once we got to reception like requested to discuss a refund. The manager made it her mission to say I should have spoken up sooner and that there didn’t look like anything was wrong with the burger. Insinuating that I was just making a fuss for no reason. Now I hope the manager is reading this. Because how dare you speak to me that way. You can’t expect someone to just speak up instantly, (even though I literally did), you have no idea who a person is, that person could be autistic, filled with anxiety. JUST LIKE ME. Might I also add. If I am unsatisfied with something, you don’t give me your option on it. When I said that the second burger was pretty much cremated and dry. You told me that it didn’t look it and there’s not been any other problems… clearly you need some training in customer service. Yes you may have refunded us. but you don’t get to speak to people that way I left the restaurant/bar, feeling insulted and treated like a child. Currently debating on maybe just to pack up and go.

Christmas party with work party, the food was absolutely terrible! The beef was disgusting, the turkey was cold, the sausage and bacon were either over or under cooked, the stuffing looked like it hadn’t even been in the oven, the roast potatoes that weren’t roast potatoes had been re-heated, if it wasn’t for the fact we had each paid a lot of money and wanted to watch the ABBA tribute band we would have all left. Very disappointed, as a hotel and catering for such a large amount of people you need to get it right, we as a group of people won’t be going back or recommending the Webbington to anyone which is a shame as a beautiful venue but the food a BIG let down.

Read previous reviews and decided to give this place a chance. Service was very good. Given fresh, iced water with lemon and butter for rolls as soon as we were seated. Butter was soft - thumbs up...followed by warm bread rolls. My daughter ordered the linguine Bolognese and I had fish and chips. Granted - I get the fact that the menu could be a little more relevant and updated. My meal was delicious, tasted my daughter's and it was lovely - proper Homemade stuff, not boil in the bag rubbish. Pleased we gave it a go.

We had our Xmas party tonight and the food was absolutely disgusting If you have a Xmas party booked then please make sure you get very drunk to drown out the poor atmosphere and eat before you go. 0/10

Dated, small and outdated menu with just about average food. Again you'd expect some sort of elevated menu from a spa hotel however it was more like meals on wheels in a retirement home. Service was very poor, we were asked immediately if we wanted any drinks and felt quite pressured to answer. Would have been nice to look at the drinks menu first, however there wasn't even one on the table anyway. However we didn't actually receive these drinks till our main course *eye roll* I'm sure they were busy serving the 3 people in the restaurant at the time. However eventually they did realise and apologise only 20min in the drinks were swiftly brought over. During the main course we were asked if everything was ok by not 1 but 3 different people would be nice if they could communicate with each other that they have already checked. Or maybe use this attentiveness in their practice of drinks service. Would have expected a comp for the drinks or a small discount as it's syrup and carbonated water however no they charged us full price 🙄 After receiving the bill we asked to split the amount the server asked us to come up to the bar. As I've used these machines I know full well you just halve the amount. To which the server said I can't divide £51.40 by 2. So to assist i explained £25.70 All in all it was like eating in a service station restaurant with people wearing waistcoats.

My god, if I could give zero stars I would. This place is beyond awful. We were staying in the hotel and ordered tiark food via room service. The starters were inedible, the main course was luke warm - we should have sent it all back on reflection. In fairness the manager refunded us without question when we showed him the food the restaurant sent us.

Went here for dinner, and can’t see why there are complaints. Food was tasty, service was really excellent, overall very satisfied. Food is priced well for what you get, left satisfied and full

First night at hotel and food was such a let down in fact cancelled breakfast for morning. Burger was very dry and over done, chips should have been gourmet but was just standard frozen chips. Lasagne bland and garlic bread was very dry like a brick. Chicken parfait was more like your bog standard supermarket brought pate. Not what I expected from such a lovely located and surrounding hotel. Will be eating out for the rest of our stay.

New menu was brilliant, although we also had food from the old which was great value for money. Lovely food and really welcoming and helpful staff.

Soup was microwaved and tasteless. Main was low cost pub food. Desert was frozen in the middle. Location was good, but would not recommend eating there. Overall the staff were friendly enough and couldn't apologise more.

Visited in a party and was not impressed. The exterior is lovely, but once you get inside, drabness abounds. From the drab Reception area, we went down drab corridors and through a drab dance hall to get to the dining room, wondering what we were coming to. The room wasn’t too bad and the tables were nicely laid out, but the food was awful. I have never had such a nasty Caesar salad - hardly any lettuce, just a few limp leaves, hard, dry chicken, no croutons and a dollop of bottled sauce. The ‘roast turkey’ was a couple of slices of something in a gravy, and the sticky toffee pudding was just a square of sponge in a thin custard. A truly depressing experience and the chef should be ashamed. We have no intention of going there again.

I recently went to a lunch for 250 people at this hotel and I can honestly say it is the worse meal that I have ever had. I don't know whose fault it was for the selection of food available but we couldn't choose the starter or the sweet only the main course and there was only two options - lamb or vegetarian. The starter was half a cold pepper with cold couscous and vegetables (it was like a hard blob of rice) with a sprinkling of lettuce. My main course was an aubergine soaked in oil with a selection of vegetables inside (awful). The roast potatoes weren't roasted but the new potatoes were lovely. The hard and poor flavoured treacle tart was something else to avoid. The staff were attentive and polite but the food itself was poorly cooked and flavourless. Before our meal we were able to buy a cup of cool coffee as well if we wanted for £2, I declined. Not somewhere that I would wish to go for a meal again.

I arrived here on my own struggling with a case and a walking stick following a very painful fall after I tripped over the cat. I was upgraded to a room near the lift with a walk in shower which was essential for the sorry state I was in ! My first visit to the restaurant for breakfast was greeted by who I assume was the supervisor who found me a table near the buffet and offered every assistance from getting my food to making my toast. Huge applause for the staff who assess a problem and deal with it and don’t wait for you to ask. Village Hotel be proud of your staff.

First night the food was sublime, could not fault a thing. Second night it was so bad I sent it back; watery, plain, bland, lack of seasoning- very disappointing. I also wouldn't have paid for the breakfast if it was not included in the room rate.

If I could give a lower score for this disgusting and awful restaurant I would. We initially stayed at the Webbington Hotel for two nights at the beginning of June. On the first night my red snapper en papillote was so over cooked and dry the fish had stuck to the paper. They replaced this with a steak but neglected to include the sauce and other accompaniments advertised with this. My partners mushroom stroganoff with basmati rice contained few mushrooms, the rice was over cooked and clumped together and this was very dry. The rest of the meal was as over cooked, including the microwaved desserts. The second night my partners pasta bolognaise contained very little sauce and again the pasta was over cooked. My poultry dish served in balsamic sauce tasted of balsamic and nothing else. At one stage the waiter asked if we'd want desserts as the kitchen wanted to know as they "wanted to go home". I did and this was served whilst my partner was still eating his main! On both nights the accompanying vegetables were over cooked, bland and grey in colour. No matter what dish you order you get the same vegetables! We had to return to the hotel two weeks later and thought that perhaps we'd caught them on a bad patch before so tried them again and how we wished we hadn't. The starters were passable but the mains were horrendous. My roast turkey tasted and looked like packet rolled smoked turkey covered in packet gravy. The sausage wrapped in bacon was pink inside and the stuffing was a solid sludge grey item. This was garnished for some unknown reason in thin strips of raw red, green and yellow peppers. The vegetables were the worst ever, 6 anaemic strips of parsnip thinner than thin chips, 2 small florets of grey broccoli, a dish of potatoes covered in what looked like the juice from a tin of tomatoes and the highlight of the meal of 8 butternut squash cubes. Most of this was returned as inedible but they still expected us to pay. My partners chilli con carne on chips (he didn't want to chance the rice again) tasted sweet. The response was "that's how we cook it". My partner asked for another chilli but with extra chilli and Tabasco sauce and it was suggested that he added the Tabasco to his original chilli! They finally agreed to give him a fresh dish but when this turned up it was much smaller than the original. Three dinners at the restaurant and all were appalling. When you complain to management the general response is "Our chefs often get commended for their food". Until the management listen to the problems they will never resolve the disgusting food that is dished up. Definitely one to avoid.

Tuve la desgracia de asistir a un curso de un día fantástico en el Webbington. El campo era genial, pero la Webbington es increíble. Gracias a Dios que había pedido la opción almuerzo frío, los bollos estaban dispuestas en una mesa a tomar básicamente pero estaban realmente horrible. Por £6. 50 tuve un bollo floja ciabatta con margarina y un poco de jamón y un poco insípida realmente espantosa de ensalada de timo. Aquellos que habíamos pedido la opción caliente - una papa al horno o un plato de sopa estaban esperando en una cola para al menos media hora, así que, no organizado bady suficiente personal puesto en servir y cosas constantemente. Aunque había 200 delegados sólo había asientos para mucho menos que eso. No hay café después, que se sirve en el bar y el sabor de confirmación. Nunca volvería en mil años - EVITAR COMO LA PESTE. Es difícil creer que en este día y edad que podría ser un hotel tan mal manejado sin excusa.

Viajamos desde el sur de Gales y amigos viajamos de Devon. Pensamos que este sería un buen camino el punto de encuentro para comer! ¡Qué equivocada que ser! Mi amigo tiene que usar un bastidor, entrada corta para discapacitados a través de la basura de la zona. A la llegada, no un miembro del personal nos dio la bienvenida. Encontramos el bar, que era la única zona para comer. Era una habitación muy fría, aún nadie vino a preguntar si nos gustaría ver un menú o puede que conseguir bebidas, así que salimos. No volveremos seguro! ! ! ! ! ! !

Webbington Hotel es uno de los pocos hoteles de la zona capaz de albergar un evento importante, pero en mi experiencia siempre deja de realizar.La última ocasión en que nos atendió era un campo día incluyendo unacomida muy ligera. El almuerzo consistía en una chaqueta de patata con una opción de dos rellenos o sopa y un panecillo o básicamente un sandwich. Un comedor separado de la habitación en la que el campo tuvo lugar fue ofrecido. La elección individual para el almuerzo tenía que ser hecho y pagado antes del campo.Sentarse coms. se han escrito en circunstancias menos de los que nos encontramos.Cuando llegamos al hotel no estaban en los arreglos de lugar para servir café. Nos dijeron que 'volver en diez minutos. Los arreglos no estaban en el lugar para tomar los pedidos mínimos para el almuerzo. Lo adivinaste! Nos dijeron que 'volver en diez minutos! Cuando café/té era finalmente disponible inicialmente no había agua caliente para hidratar la bolsa de té y no leche! Este fue corregido con bastante rapidez.Una ubicación diferente en el hotel albergó la cola para pedir el almuerzo. Teniendo en cuenta la variedad era escaso lo seguido rodeado por ridícula! Dos miembros del personal estaban disponibles para tomar las órdenes de en exceso de 150 personas. Un formulario con el nombre del restaurante y el menú tenía que ser rellenado mientras el resto de los prospectos de esperar en cola. Entonces el reverso de un boleto de guardarropa estaba inscrita con la elección cuidadosamente en su totalidad (sin abreviaturas) antes de ser entregados a los candidatos. Luego pago(dinero, por favor, 'correcto') tenía que ser tomada.El almuerzo se sirve en 1. 30.El almuerzo fue anunciado en 1. 30 y los asistentes curso dirigido a una habitación anti que constituían tanto del empelado y el comedor.El hotel tenía por esta época tenía tres horas y media de aviso de cuántos diners había y qué requisitos para el almuerzo eran.Estaba todo listo? No!Basta decir que finalmente conseguimos nuestro patatas al horno a las 2 de la tarde y nos no significa la parte de la cola.Acorn Antiques habría estado orgulloso de haber cerrado los acuerdos comer.De nuevo, dos miembros del personal sólo a mano: una para tomar el billete entregado fuera inscrita de guardarropa, tome la salida de la película de la placa se agarran con un mínimo de ensaladas, con cuidado una papa al horno una bandeja de horno con las tenazas y luego con sus manos y un cuchillo corte abierto, relleno con frijoles o chili o horneados y para la suerte de tener a mano los frijoles al horno un tipo ramekin plato relleno con queso Cheddar suave tipo, el otro miembro del personal mientras era la sopa para compruebe que la comen sopa. Quienes teniendo la opción fría dejaban abandonadas a sí mismas aparentemente.Debe agregarse que cuando llegó mi compañero de patata para su chaqueta con queso y frijoles el queso había acabado! ! ! Se le ofreció el chili. Buen trabajo no vegetariano.El comedor consta de dos largas mesas refectorio, con plazas insuficientes para acomodar los comensales y aquellos que fueron capaces de encontrar un lugar como sardinas en con sus vecinos bastante incómodo como los días halcyon marchado de Cenas del colegio en los años 50.Como si esto no fuera suficiente, no refrescos o aparentemente disponibles durante el día (no hay anuncio habiendo sido hecho) aparte de las jarras de agua en una ubicación específica en la habitación y ¿adivina qué? Las jarras no fueron repuestas sin preguntar! ! !El campo era bueno. Por desgracia, no se puede decir lo mismo de nuestros anfitriones y sus arreglos de catering.

Hemos sido visitantes regulares a este hotel durante siete años y hasta la última noche de nuestra visita (9.4.16) siempre hemos estado satisfechos con el servicio.

Realmente decepcionante 1 visita al webbington el Dolly Parton's acto de homenaje de era bueno, pero eso fue todo.

Nos detuvimos aquí para un aperitivo en un día cuando una boda estaba teniendo lugar. Que parecía sorprendido de que alguien que no en la boda aparecía.

Habiendo disfrutamos del año anterior que estaban deseosos de volver a reservar para 2014/15. Relación calidad-precio Aunque bodegones, nos decepcionó. La llegada fue muy desorganizado y no hay información acerca de lo que iba , o donde se sirven cócteles y canapés de llegada se sirve. La calidad de la comida no estaba a la altura. La banda era muy bueno, pero no es justo para la víspera del Año Nuevo. No crean el ambiente del 'grupo necesitaba. Más personas bailaron a la discoteca. El personal era educado y eficiente.

Un grupo grande de nosotros pagamos 60 libras por cada fiesta de Nochevieja en el Webbington. Nos lo pasamos de maravilla porque de la banda, el DJ, y la diversión que tuvimos en la compañía de los demás; pero el evento en sí se vio estropeada por el mal servicio y la falta de atención al detalle del personal.

Afortunadamente no parar allí. Fuimos para una fiesta de cumpleaños y francamente la comida era absolutamente repugnante. Los aperitivos estaban lo bastante mal, me había pescado ahumado y la mujer tenía patés. La presentación era como un hijo de dos años había presentado y la patés parecía algo como el gato había buscaron. El plato principal era incluso peor, patatas marrón preparado a un mushing en algún tipo de licor marrón servido con verduras cocinado a la muerte hace unos 3 meses con una salsa y pollo horroroso que era tan hecha debe ser un arte que lo que seco. Aparte de nosotros había una gran fiesta de boda, y sólo había una persona en bar que haríamos Mrs Everall parecen Lynford Christie, así que no os molestaseis después de 15 minutos. Como era un partido informático detecta no me quería quejarse, pero si era sólo yo y la mujer que tendríamos que tanto con barriles y no de pagar un centavo. Evitar a toda costa!
