Spare of the moment decision to pop in for a meal! I ordered the Hunters Chicken. It wasn't a long wait, looked nice and was one of the best I've tasted. Chicken not overcooked and sauce not overpowering - lovely. Tasty coleslaw and nice salad garnish.

Although I walk past here several times a week, this was my first visit inside, and I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and enthusiastic welcome. I had an early light lunch of a tuna and sweetcorn sandwich plus a coffee, at a very reasonable price. I will most certainly be making.a return visit.

What a gem!! Me & my partner grabbed 2 turkey bacon sub rolls from here for lunch, they were £4.50 each and they were awesome! You never get value for money like that these days, it was fresh, warm and massive, a 10/10 sandwich. Even better after a big walk in the fells. Will return often i’m sure! Friendly warm service too. I've seen this cafe many times but have never been in. What a revelation. The grounds at the rear are beautiful. There's plenty of seating indoors and out. It's busy too. The café is located in the village hall, complete with a serving hatch and a number of tables. We ordered in a rather chaotic serving area but got our orders delivered to our tables outside very quickly. Staff are friendly too. Prices are below what you'd expect to pay in many other cafés. The rear garden is picturesque and perfect for a mid ride cafe stop. A real gem .

We travel ( by train) from Manchester to Lincoln to to see the peregrine falcons nesting at the cathedral and visit this wonderful cafe. Their sandwiches ,soups and cakes are delicious. Highly recommend.

What a delightful little place , I liked you can be sitting at a table but not too close to anyone else , food was very good , nice friendly staff , would love to go back when it’s colder and the log stove is on …

Had our beautiful wedding at Riverdale in October, and couldn't recommend it enough! The staff are all so helpful and gave tips/advice when needed. The grounds are absolutely stunning, and so serene, they make for brilliant wedding photographs! If you're looking a peaceful, rustic venue for your wedding, Riverdale is the place to be <3 P.S. Highly recommend an Autumn wedding here, as you can see the leaves make it even more beautiful!

Was a lovely simple full English! Very tasty 😋!!! Only advice would be have black pudding available as an extra or add on !! Love bit of pudding black… eggs was cooked perfectly! Delicious

A nice place for a bite to eat, really recommend. The paninis are way better than any of the chain coffee shops. You know exactly what you’re getting from the glass bar. And they have a great menu selection and even vegan options!
