We ordered a chick gyros & lamb burger with chips and salad along with frappe and can of coke for a total cost of £19 Excellent service, and the food was delicious. I definitely recommend this cafe .

Went in for a take away as we thought it would be quiet with most people watching the football. We all opted for different with one on chicken, one on halloumi and one on lamb burger. The food was excellent & all at a very reasonable price, so will be going back again.

Finally some nutritional value. Great food, high quality ingredients and diverse salad. Greek Panini tasted so fresh and delicious. Made me feel great. Great price too. Chicken yeeros is also great, I had that a different time. But greek Panini is amazing.

Popped in before going to the parish church for D Day celebrations… wasn’t disappointed, the Greek lamb burger was delicious, can’t wait to go back for the halloumi strips, the staff are spot on. The Greek wine is fab. Look forward to our next visit.

Fantastic atmosphere, soft music, very nice service, they treat the guest as a friend. Here you not only get very delicious authentic food but also the holiday feeling. It was like I was really in Greece. And the prices are really great. I recommend it to everyone, you have to try it.

Not posh but a straightforward cafe offering good quality Greek food at a bargain price.

We love Taste Of Greece but haven't been for around 12 months and I have to say that it's changed and not for the better! They no longer do pork gyros and the food is no longer served on plates, but cardboard trays, with chips served in cardboard bowls. Also we got drinks, soft drinks and beer and we're given disposable plastic cups. The 3 women opposite were given proper glasses. I'll still go back, but it's just a shame they no longer do pork and they treat customers differently!

I'm a regular of this place it's a must visit if you come to Bolton! It's the best Greek food in town. Gyros is amazing and the owners are such nice people, a proper family business. My girlfriend introduced me to Taste of Greece and we absolutely love the place.

Situtated on Church Gate is "Taste of Greece"!! A true Orthenic Family run Greek restaurant / cafè.. Serving an array of dishes giving ya a true taste of Greek cuisine right here in Bolton. I've personally been several times now working my way through the menu, and each time the food has been spot on! Perfect for a light bite or an evening meal. Can honnest say that the gyros are amazing, an as ortheinc as you will get outside of Greece 🇬🇷. £7 for the smallest gyros, was OK nothing to write home about unfortunately, came here a while ago as I moved away and came back expecting good things as before it was double the size and half the price it was, couldn't taste the tzatziki sauce either there wasn't much on it, to dear for what you get. Thanks for your reply,, You seem to be quite smart with your reply to anyone who you don't agree with, I will go other places as you suggested thanks, I will also leave my comments elsewhere, I wished my euros or whatever it was the same size as the one you display with chips, the price of goods has gone up like everyone else deals with stop whinging. At least other shops fill the tray for £7 looks nothing like the size your advertising

After seeing the great reviews, I nipped in to try… lambburger yeeros and halloumi. Wow, so fresh, tasty and satisfying. A real treat for the taste buds! Such lovely people who run it too, certainly has the family feel and I can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you so much, it gives me a reason to actually go into Bolton town centre now! 🙏🏻

I park up every Thursday afternoon while I nip into the old pastie shop for my mother. And the amount of people I see vist this establishment is unreal. So last night I placed an order, and can totally see and understand why he's busy! Do you ever eat food and your so stuffed but you want to eat more because it's so good 👍 then this is the place you want to vist. We had lamb and chicken cooked to perfection, salad that made you feel healthy just looking at it 😀 Seriously give this place a visit. Sorry there are no photos with this review, I was too busy eating 😅

Food is awesome just closes too early

Miejsce małe i skromne posiada kilka stolików przed wejściem fajne przy dobrej pogodzie. W środku kilka miejsc i otwarta kuchnia. Jedzenie smaczne, porcje do ceny też ok jak na centrum. W godzinach popołudniowych czas oczekiwania na posiłek jest dłuższy.

My partner and I travel from Manchester to Bolton to come to this place! This is by far the best Greek restaurant/cafe I’ve been to in the UK. The food is amazing - it is proper authentic Greek. The owners are extremely friendly and go above and beyond to welcome you, and make you feel welcome. I usually get the chicken house salad (if I lived closer I would eat this every single day!) My partner usually gets the chicken yeeros or lamb burger yeeros which he says are so tasty, the meat is always so succulent. I 100% recommend this place!

Fantastic, most tasty, healthy food; the classic Greek gyros (doner), only better!!! The halal meat is marinated overnight, that is why it is always so succulent!! Corine & Stergos are specialists of the grill, and they also offer sweet delicacies to accompany their divine menu!! The cosy taverna serves refreshments and alcohol, in its tasteful area, at the heart of the busy Churchgate, in Bolton Town Centre!! “A Taste Of Greece” is a must go in Bolton!!!

I was in Bolton for a training course and decided to try this place out, my only regret was that I didn’t try it sooner the chicken yeeros was delicious, small family run place and the owners were super friendly, if you like Greek food then check this place out!

I don't think I can recommend this place enough, my friends have been pestering me to go here and how good it is and I finally had an excuse for a quick dinner before driving home for Christmas. Absolutely phenomenal, hits the spot so well and leaves you full for hours, the owners are super friendly and everything is cooked to order. The seasoning is excellent and the portions huge for such a low price. The menu is small but has something for everyone and just shows how good those staple pieces are. The whole place is welcoming with Greek phrases written on boards (though my pronunciation could use some work). Definitely come here if you get the chance and are craving some good food!

A great little Greek family restaurant in the heart of Bolton with original cuisine.

Lovely welcoming staff here took our order and told us how long food would take roughly (13 mins). We got two gyros (£6 each; lamb/halloumi) and fries (£2). It was very tasty, fresh, and great value. The decoration and music + Greek key words blackboard give the place a great vibe. Well worth a visit!

I'm a regular and many enjoyable meals from taste of Greece. Even my 11 year old loves the food. Best salad around. Very reasonably priced food.....beer bit on the expensive side.

Was visiting Bolton and decided to have some lunch. Sat outside in the sun, with small bottle of Mythos, and really enjoyed my Gyros. Freshly cooked, nice bit of salad, lovely garlic sauce, what more can you ask for! Well worth popping in if you're ever in Bolton!

We often get Gyros when we go to Greece on holiday so I bought 2 x Yeeros for myself and my wife. Safe to say I wasn’t disappointed - great value for money and packed with meat. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and we had a nice conversation. I also ended up getting some drinks to take away to help this business whilst unable to dine in. Professional, friendly service and great food. Would recommend.

This has been a regular over the years for the family that is split over 3 households. The trip for a gyros and baklava often sees us do uptown a 20 mile round trip or one of us bringing back when in Bolton. One of my daughters cravings during pregnancy too. As authentic as Santorini. Lovely staff and owners. Nice place to eat in too and a firm favourite of the local businesses. I’m writing this now as it’s my daughters 30th birthday and one of her birthday wishes is gyros breakfast. We have negotiated lunch. Happy Birthday Amy! X

I heard so many nice things about this place, but really was not happy with the final product. I ordered 3 veggie yeeros and ended up with a meat yeero. I really don't think this is acceptable, considering I get 30min for lunch it really did upset me. I will not be going again!

I love the gyros, but only found out that the meat was Halal after a Halal butcher came into the cafe to drop off some chicken. I totally disagree with Islamic method of slaughtering animals I won't be going back.

The gyros is bangin , an authentic wrap and inside is a very well seasoned chicken with a choice of many veggies which is just REALLY NICE .

what a change from the cheap tasting fast food kebabs in nearly all the takeaways near me, had the chicken yeros and it was just like being back on holiday in santorini, excellent value and top quality, well done to the owner/ chef and his team, cant wait to go back.

Had a yeeros, filled with griddle chicken, plenty of salad, tzatziki sauce a few chips and all wrapped with an authentic pitta. The first bite made me feel on holiday! The couple who cooked and served us were genuinely very nice people, even when they took the micky out of my husband for eating his with a knife and fork!!! Very reasonably priced, cheap really, will be back very soon.
