I tried borek and blueberry cake and they were all very delicious.

It was great experience. Lots of variety. We visited 2 times in a day for breakfast and for afternoon tea. Everything was delicious. Thank you.

A really nice cafe. My partner and I visited for a takeaway coffee, which we enjoyed so much we came back for brunch. A good selection of freshly cooked food at a good price. Friendly staff and dog friendly, which is great.

Great coffee. Nice selection of sandwiches and other lunchtime treats. Will visit again. Update Sept 24. Visited again today and very disappointed, had to wait 15mins for takeaway sandwiches to be toasted. Sandwiches were listed as having sun dried tomatoes but actually had sliced fresh. Now quite expensive, could have eaten in elsewhere for the same price as takeaway here. Probably will go somewhere else in future.

Been here twice. Once for coffee and again for cakes. Both amazing experiences and such friendly staff. When I bought a pistachio cheesecake and a biscoff loaf cake, the woman that served us gave us a complementary biscoff blondie as we told her we’d leave a good review! Taken me way too long to write it, but all three cakes were amazing. No where near as sweet as I expected so very easy to eat! So well made. Definitely coming back to try other things! Loyalty card for coffee too! Thank you!

Probably the best cafe I've ever been and I am not exaggerating! The food was beyond delicious, the service was extremely professional and the choices were unlimited. I've had lunch in Turkey but this is by far much better. The cake and pastry choices are mind blowing! Words can not express my experience at this cafe. It's a family run business and they truly work and serve with their heart. Well done and keep up the good work.

Lovely range of cakes, pastries etc. (sweet and savoury). The portion sizes are big too. Very friendly staff. Not many seats so be prepared for wait or get take away.

Cute and friendly but more style over substance. Lots of fabulous looking pasties and a cute little spot close to the sea. Sadly the coffee was bland and the sizes are incorrect - a cortado is served as a flat white etc. We tried several different pastries both sweet and cinnamon but all far too dry.

I went to My Coffee Story for a lunch on a Sunny day in Brighton. I ate a delicious sandwich with sourdough bread, cheese and salad leaves. I also enjoyed a tasty leek savoury pastry which contained cheese. The atmosphere was relaxed with piano music playing in the background and the lady serving me was very friendly. Overall, I would recommend coming to My Coffee Story if you would like a relaxed lunch in Kemptown Brighton.

Absolutely amazing, I had a hot chocolate and croissant and my husband had a pistachio latte and a pistachio croissant they were amazing! All the food looked lovely. Very clean and lovely staff.

We went to this place through a happy coincidence, but we liked it so much that we went back next morning! The cappuccino was one of the best I had, the smoothies are great, and both pancakes and toast were amazing!

We visited Coffee Story, Brighton recently on our weekend away. We found the service friendly, professional and relaxed. The atmosphere was friendly and warm. The choice of food and drinks was impressive with a wide variety of home-madefood and a great selection of teas and coffees. We will definitely stop here again on our next visit.

This little gem of a place is definitely 👍 a place to visit. The friendly staff are passionate and accomadating. The atmosphere is funky. Great coffee ☕ and a selection of cakes and savouries " Baked on premises ". I decided to order a breakfast " eggs on toast with avocado and a salad'and.. a cortado. My breakfast certainly did not dissapoint. The eggs were rich and cooked perfectly. I practically liked my plate clean, while sitting at a table on st James Street. Truely a place worth visiting.

I love this place so much... It's my local coffee place.... In fact, I'm thinking of scoring it low so I can keep this little gem all to myself!

Decided to rate this a 4, really it was a 3/2.5 but based on other reviews I have a feeling I just got unlucky. It’s a cute spot, lots of beautiful cakes and a friendly owner. It’s popular too! My friend got the almond croissant which he said was good. Sadly, I got the carrot cake which was terrible. It had no flavour and then a really overpowering toffee icing. I couldn’t finish it. Maybe avoid that and you’ll have a great experience!

For the past 3 years we visit brighton every July for our anniversary, I found this little coffee shop whilst out walking on our first morning. Now we go to my coffee story every morning when we are there, a beautiful small shop with outstanding food and drinks and all very lovely staff, will never visit brighton without making, my coffee story the first point of call every day we are there

Girlfriend spotted the fabulous looking cakes. She was spot on !! I asked the lady if they were fresh and she said that she made them fresh every morning. I ordered the Blueberry and lemon drizzle cake which was delicious!!! Just the right consistency and moist Coffee was also good. I will return tomorrow and try the Pistachio Raspberry and lemon cake which looks amazing. Most enjoyable Well done 👍😊

We looked in and were enticed by the window swing and lovely looking cakes. We ordered coffee and green tea.The coffee was awful almost as though it was old residue.The green tea was weak and tasteless.I went to the toilet and was shocked to see the walls covered in mould I couldn't get out quick enough!!

I went in because my first impression of the shop from the window was it being a clean authentic looking coffee shop with a tempting display of variety of pastries and cakes that looked freshly made…… I WAS RIGHT !! I now go in on regular basis for my coffee and a little treat because of the friendly atmosphere yet respectful of your space. My favourite with coffee is the Pistachio Cheesecake that’s garnished with “fresh” pistachios on top, and Borek (pastry filled with feta cheese & spinach). I would highly recommend this place if you want to have good beverage and delicious fresh food, along with the authentic vibe. I love it !!!

I came for the coffee, but I couldn't leave without tasting the cake. I had the apple crumble cheesecake and I honestly believe it has changed my life. I spoke with the staff, (who are absolutely charming), and they told me that all of the cakes are made in the kitchen downstairs! This amazed me because there were about 15 different cakes on display, each one looking more delicious than the last. I came with my puppy, and they asked me whether she could have a treat and I said yes. I lovely morning. Delicious cake. Delicious coffee. 10 out of 10. Will revisit soon.

I feel I need to share this review even if a part of me it is hesitant to do. Cakes are amazing and you can taste that they are homemade. However, the second time I went there this lady was washing some dirty dishes and then when I asked for a piece of cake to take away, she brought it behind the counter and without cleaning her hands she touched the piece of cake that was for me and used a knife that was dangerously close to the dirty dishes. That scene made me loose my appetite. As someone who worked in hospitality before let me tell you PLEASE clean your hands. Have some basic hygiene knowledge!

While visiting Brighton with my friend for a few days, we came across this wonderful place. The pastries and cakes were absolutely delicious and the coffee was as well. During our stay we visited the coffee shop as many times as possible and were always greeted with the sweetest customer service, by the amazing owner. Definitely go here if you’re in Brighton! ☀️

Came across this gem after a walk. Has nice sponge dessert on the window and we decided to get it. Nice coffee, good decorations with give a nice vibe to the place. Coffee was tasty, I had a cappuccino with alternative milk; come back to taste the cheesecake and it was delicious. Very light and fresh, homemade like. Service great as usual.

Beautiful little cafe. The cheesecakes were delicious, we had both the cherry and pistachio, and clearly homemade and the service was very friendly. The cafe is very cosy so not ideal for large groups but perfect for a couple or solo stop.
