What a great find. Stayed in Brighton with my husband for a long weekend. Went in on the afternoon and them went back in the following evening, the entertainment was great and all the staff so friendly. Will definitely be back on our next visit.

Best little pub in Brighton. Friendly, inclusive, reasonably priced beer and cocktails. I visited my first day in Brighton after a long day of travel from the US. Felt like it was home! Visited several other pubs and bars during my stay but this was the only one I kept returning to.

What a wonderful welcome my husband and I had at this little treasure of a pub. Everyone was so friendly and we instantly felt at home, and it was as if we had been coming here for years. Will definitely be making a beeline back here when we are next in Brighton x

The Marine is a jewel in Brighton’s crown. Always great atmosphere and good company. Affectionately known by locals and returning tourists as the ‘lobster pot’, because once inside it’s hard to leave!

This is a great spot to go with friends for some drinks with your mates, has a fantastic traditional cosy pub interior (which seems to have been lost across Brighton) along with great selection of beers and friendly owners, and also has space invaders to play at the back and we had a blast.

A great little bar, really friendly locals and staff, quick service, good prices and excellent entertainment! Very much recommended!

It was a lovely cosy place that was warm and inviting with a very friendly barman who welcomed our dog and even gave him a blanket to sit on and some treats to eat. There is a good selection of drinks, including some very tasty rums we'd never had before, and our friends enjoyed lagers they had not tried before as well. In all our visits to Brighton, we had never been to The Marine Tavern before. This is an oversight that will not be repeated again and we look forward to returning.

Used to love this place, but wasn't happy when my partner and I visited on 7th December 2023 and I was threatened with violence by another customer and bar staff ignored it and happily socialised with the said customer because he was clearly a friend of the bar. Not what I expect from a Brighton venue. Shameful.

Marine Tavern is a lovely little bar, run now by Paul & Craig, their always friendly and chatty. I.d visit Marine tavern a lot over the years, even still when I visited last week, I met a lot of familiar faces, and lovely new people. It's a bar that welcomes and cares for both regulars & new visitors alike. It's like your friendly little local, everyone chats with everyone.. The bar staff are friendly and help make the place too. Drag queen Cherry bomb is on Thursday nights, she's very good, a great laugh, i.d highly recommend..

Lovely little place that I've been going to on and off for years. The staff are professional and helpful and you can go in on your own and chat to someone. Unfortunately the hole in the ceiling at the back let's the place down.

Popped in to see the lovely Paul and Craig who now run the bar, we had our 17 week old puppy Ralfie with us and such a lovely greeting for him a lovely bowl of water and treats he was spoilt of which made us feel so welcomed we stayed and had a drink, and will admit all there customers are so friendly and make you feel apart of the marine tavern.

Paul was super friendly, myself and two pals were happy to sit at the bar… friendly banter and interesting conversations!! Looking forward to another visit soon!!

Out for evening with friends. We were made most welcome by Paul when we went in for drinks. There was a fantastic atmosphere and the pub was full of good fun banter. Paul told us some fascinating tales about the pub and I can't wait to return there soon.

The Marine Tavern was a friendly, lively place, with a great selection of drinks and well kept beer! The hosts were available all evening to chat and banter with customers, a very special thing! We got exactly what we wanted from our visit...excellent!!

This place is great for either a chilled drink alone or with friends. All the new bar staff and the new owner are really friendly and I can’t wait to go back. The drink prices aren’t too expensive but aren’t the cheapest around either but...

Decent pub and our second stop into town on mini pub crawl last Saturday. Not a huge number of tables because it’s quite a small place but we found one for the four of us at the back. Was frequented mainly by locals who knew each other. Cozy atmosphere but we only stayed for one. Loved the “Soup of the day: Gin” sign, made us chuckle. Amazing Sunday roasts, We come to Brighton a few times a year and always come here for a roast. Service is very good, polite and kind staff. 100% recommend if you come to Brighton.

We only popped in for a quick drink on a day trip to Brighton. Barman was really nice and friendly. The tavern was clean and comfortable.

What an amazing find. On our way back to where we were staying tucked down a road we saw a tiny pub and popped in for one. We left 4 hours later a little worse for wear. The regulars were really lovely and the manager behind the bar was such a lovely guy. We managed to fill our loyalty card twice and got two free drinks. There was a drag act Cander Ell (sweet but fake) who was bloody amazing and took requests for songs she was brilliant. When she finished pooped back for a drink. All in all a fab night and I would go back to Brighton just fir this pub. Thanks guys.

Coming to Brighton for a day trip from London, my friend, the journalist from Inpark Magazine suggested we stop by this gay (friendly) bar, for one last drink before we left Brighton this evening. The patrons , bar tender, and the drag queen, were so friendly. We had a great time. Definitely, a must visit place if you want to feel welcomed. Highly recommend. Great classic pub decore, and reasonable prices.

Myself and our lass called in this little pub on our last night and after we had been out a few hours before calling was abit worse for ware lol ,what a fantastic place to end our night the staff couldn't do enough for you and the regular customers were also so friendly, definitely will be back during the Mod weekender

It’s has been such a hot day . I decide to find a local Pub away from the crowds on the seafront. Found the Marine Tavern . What a hidden gem. Walked in and immediately greeted by a guy I now know is Neil behind...

£10 for a generous, homemade roast, £2 extra for pig in a blanket and stuffing balls. The roast comes with a choice of meat (lamb, chicken or beef), cheesy leeks, Yorkshire pudding, steam broccoli, roasted carrots, roast potatoes, mash, cheese sauce, gravy and a choice of mustard, mint sauce or horseradish.

We went on a day trip and were looking for somewhere to cool off and have a drink. We were warmly welcomed by Neil and ended up having one of the best nights. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable...
