Great little cafe with a lovely ambiance serving quality coffee and teas. Loved the cheesecake. Service was very friendly with no pressure to leave despite being just after closing time. Frankly a breathe of fresh air

What a joy of a find, when I met friends two Fridays on the trot. It's always brilliant to find a well-run, family business with so many chains around. No wonder it's so busy at lunch times. The food on offer is brilliant, varied and well-priced, ditto the cold drink selection. If you're not familiar with London, it's a 5 -10 min walk from Bon / Regent Street and a welcome respite from the crowds and commercialism. Check it out! Thank me later.

The Ladies at Bean and Baked worked hard during lockdown to keep everyone well supplied with their home-baked cakes. The brownie box was well packed and promptly dispatched and made a delicious treat during lockdown. I will definitely be ordering more. Thank you!

We enjoyed breakfast here too. A very generous portion of scrambled eggs on toast. Also Danish pastry - rhubarb and custard - delicious and not too sweet. Lovely friendly cafe with plenty of working space.

This is now our favourite cafe for a traditional cooked breakfast, and a vegetarian option is also available. Excellent value for the quality and quantity of the food. Staff very helpfull, friendly and accommodating, in order to serve the choice of food you ask for.

Nice place to stop for a drink on the sea front. Alcohol slushies and Welsh beer. Had a little selection of bar games too..

Reservamos el Empress Bar como una de las paradas para nuestra noche de despedida de soltera. Originalmente reservamos por 90 minutos con la intención de seguir adelante después de eso, pero terminamos quedándonos como el servicio y el ambiente era brillante. Llegamos unos 30 minutos tarde debido a que nuestra reserva anterior se atropelló y Empress Bar sostuvo nuestras mesas. Nos proporcionaron nuestra propia pequeña área privada que era brillante para un gran grupo, ya que significaba que todos podíamos estar juntos y ser aplastados en una multitud. Nos atendió una señora encantadora (no me di cuenta de su nombre) pero tenía el pelo oscuro con mechas azules en - ella era increíble! Nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos e incluso localizó un teléfono que uno de nuestra fiesta había perdido! Honestamente este bar era brillante y sin duda volvería a ir cuando en Newcastle.

After reading so many rave reviews, I couldn't resist a visit, and boy, was it worth the hype! As we stepped into the cozy restaurant, we were instantly charmed by its laid-back ambiance and the groovy tunes playing in the background. The intimate setting, with only six tables, makes booking in advance a must! We noticed a few couples walk in, hoping for a table, but they ended up grabbing seats at the bar. So, word to the wise: book ahead to avoid disappointment! On a chilly evening, the warmth of the restaurant felt like a loving embrace. And although they don't have an alcohol license, the 'bring your own booze' policy is a fun touch. We chose to keep it sober this time, in preparation for the upcoming holiday festivities. Wolfmann's menu, a delightful selection of Asian-inspired dishes, changes weekly, with some specials featured on a board above the bar. You can always sneak a peek at previous menus on their Facebook page to get a taste of what to expect. The friendly staff welcomed us with open arms and promptly took our drink orders while we ogled the mouthwatering menu options. After much debate (and the desire to order everything), I settled on the salt and pepper Tofu with a side of spring rolls. My better half couldn't resist the roast belly pork, accompanied by a generous serving of salt and chilli fries. To our delight, the service was impressively swift, and our food arrived in just 20 minutes! The Tofu was a symphony of flavors and textures, with tender pieces perfectly seasoned and paired with a vibrant mix of fresh greens. The spring rolls were crispy, succulent, and packed with a punch, thanks to the spicy dipping sauce. My wife's roast belly pork was a showstopper, boasting crispy crackling atop melt-in-your-mouth pork, served on a bed of tangy pickled cabbage. The salt and chilli fries were the perfect sidekick, adding a spicy kick and satisfying crunch. In conclusion, our experience at Wolfmann's Eating House was nothing short of spectacular. The combination of a relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff, and, most importantly, divine Asian-inspired dishes make this spot a must-visit in South Shields. Visited again early evening with a friend for drinks and food. It was absolutely incredible. The tapas was delicious, very tasty and plentiful. A great selection of vegetarian dishes. The staff are welcoming and accommodating. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Si está preparado para un refrigerio rápido, pequeño y más importante, ese es el lugar. Recomiendo probar su shakshuka.
