Love this sandwich bar! Good coffee and food and really nice staff serving!

Bacon brie cranberry. The bread was alright, cranberry sauce was quite sweet

They claim to be haunted as they are built over an old graveyard, but here is their protection right there in the wall. However, the friendly service and delicious food dispelled any notion of dark spirits. What a welcoming little place.

The man running the counter was just LOVELY. Gave me suggestions when I wasn't sure what to order, asked if I wanted my water bottle filled, and also asked about my time at uni so far after seeing the logo on my sweatshirt. Also, the sandwich was AMAZING. I will 100% be coming back here.

Nice little sandwich shop with really good quick food that was reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The place can fill up quickly.

The food is great and their bagles ore sooo good, they are so gentle too! The prices are not high at all and the spot is perfect for lunch and breakfast, wish I can eat those at dinner too.

We’ve been coming here since Covid & always made so welcome by Samir & staff. Lovely guy , makes the best BLT bagels & caramel cappuccinos 👌. Sorry didn’t get girls name today who served us but lovely enthusiasm & this is why this cafe works so well . Please pop in you will not be disappointed.

This place is highly recommended. Very reasonably priced and Natasha is great, she deserves a raise. Wasn't able to ascertain what makes it so haunted but maybe we need to bring a clairvoyant individual along next time.

Arguably a limited menu, but everything is done very well. Freshly cooked with care. The cafe is opposite the National Musuem and thus on a main road, but outside seating is still a good 5m back from the road. A small independent café well worth your business.

Travelling from Dundee I visited bobby's on a recommendation of a friend. This is great little spot which did not disappoint !! I do love a quality independent cafe ! was greeted with smiles from staff & customer ..nice one ...great selection of sandwiches & kick ass coffee 🍮' was just the job before an afternoon at the museum !! ill be back 🥯✊🏾

Delicious sundried tomato, pesto, mozzarella ciabatta. Perfect before my visit to the museum. Tasted fresh. Will visit again on my next trip to Edinburgh

Stopped here on our first morning in Edinburgh mostly on a whim (the Potter trail tour starts on the outside) but we ended up going here every morning during our stay! Their oat chai latte is the best I have ever tried (please send me the recipe!!) and their toasties are fresh and taste absolutely amazing. I'm already missing the breakfasts there. The staff are friendly and their service excellent; they made my friend a custom baguette every day without any hassle at all.

We were lucky enough to arrive in a small gap in the clouds and, although it was a little late and they were closing, they took care of us and let us have the soup and the sandwich on the little terrace they have. The food was really good, in general they do everything to take away, quick menu type, but if you have time and space it is worth spending some time.

Feel like the sandwiches are so overpriced for what they are. I had a chicken sandwich which was full of dry peanut butter and was disgusting

Absolutely fabulous breakfast! We had a bacon roll, omelette roll with sriracha, and a bacon, egg and cheese on ciabatta with HP sauce. All were incredible and our lattes were perfect. The guys running the shop were so kind and helpful as well. 10/10 would come back! Great quick stop for breakfast.

Stopped for a break on a sunny Saturday and staff super friendly. Chai and coffee were the best we had over 4 days in Edinburgh. Lovely place for a pint stop. Will probably return before we go home for a sample of the vegan haggis toastie!

Came by today for a bit of brunch. Jules served us, what a champion! Excellent toastie, but the service made it that much better. Would 100% go back.

A restaurant with very sweet food, all kinds of fresh and delicious sandwiches, and a reasonable price, and they also serve coffee. A fried egg sandwich is worth trying, and you can also get a glass of milk from them. I recommend trying it.

What a wonderful experience. I looked in through the door on a rainy Wednesday and got a good feeling about the place. Bought two rolls which were as good as I've ever tasted. Super fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.

Small, alternative coffee shop with a large selection of sandwiches. Soups and small dishes are also on offer. There are few seats in the shop, but there is a very comfortable wooden bench - just right for a (very tasty!) cappuccino for three.

This is honestly the BEST little cafe in Edinburgh!! Amazing coffee, tastiest sandwiches, home-made soups that fill you up and the friendliest service from the staff! If you're nearby, I definitely recommend stopping by this gorgeous cafe!

This is a very small restaurant with friendly staff and excellent breakfast food. I added bacon to my omelette roll and it was a generous portion of bacon, unlike back home in the States where you’re lucky to get one full slice added to your sandwich. I think we’ll go back tomorrow.

Very delicious food, lots of options and fast service, although the space is a bit limited but it's possible to take away or eat outside and the table becomes free quite fast anyway. Would visit again when hungry and passing nearby 😋

The staff in Bobby’s were really lovely and welcoming and the food was even better. We tried a few of their bagels which were to die for and were brought to us really quickly. There’s lots of choice and many snack and drink choices available. Everything is really inexpensive for how great the quality is! We sat on the tables outside and enjoyed soaking in the sun. I definitely recommend if you’re in Edinburgh!

This place is a bastion of Edinburgh’s cafe scene. Friendly service from Colin and Craig, a great range of sandwiches and drinks, and a prime location. Every time I go here I’m reminded of the nice differences you get from an independently owned and run sandwich place. I’d recommend to anyone.

Amazing lunch. kids loved their sandwiches. Really fresh bread and a great selection of fillings. Really good value for the centre of town.

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! Such a bad place and a very rude server, never saw that in my entire life. If you want to start the morning with a bad vibe, go ahead and buy from this place. First of all the guy was p****d off just because we did not know the difference between 2 types of "ciabatta", he just refused to respond to us to a question regarding"breakfast ciabatta " then he stormed out and left us alone before the counter. Then said "whatever mate, choose what u want and that will be done" I would never, ever in my life spend a single penny for something, regardless of the taste or the quality, if the people that you encounter are so rude and impolite. Note : the name of the guy is Collen or something like that. Such a rude person, ruined our day.

We popped by Bobby’s and the gluten free turkey bacon Gouda bagel was delicious - the Cole slaw on top made it. Highly recommend!

Stopped into Bobby’s for a quick breakfast since it was one of the few places open early. We had amazing service and great food. We ordered a cream cheese bagel, bagel with bacon and cheese, 2 bacon rolls, 2 chai lattes, a regular latte and a cappuccino. Everything was delicious and not too expensive. Definitely the place to stop in for a quick bite and great service!

Food was amazing, one of the best toasted panini I’ve ever had! It’s also definitely one of the cheapest cafes we ate in, all weekend! The owner was very nice. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bacon was lacking any real bacon. Felt like packaged crispy bacon strips put in a burger bun and given out as a classic Scottish morning roll. Very disappointed. Areas to improve would be to not microwave the bacon, get fresh morning rolls. Learn from the customer. X

We popped in here before our walking tour and was pleasantly surprised. Our food was delicious and bought to us in record time. Staff were excellent and polite. Great location too, round the corner from the graveyard.

It was the best food i’ve ever had in the uk. Warm, filling, homemade lentil soup on a very cold Scottish day. Perfection. Simple but really tasty! With a reasonable price. It has an amazing location just behind the museum. The interior is really cozy! Just a warm cozy Scottish vibe that Ive always wanted. As a New Yorker I’m always apprehensive of bagels outside of the city, but Bobby’s bagels are good! Even though it’s just a plain bagel, it came out warm and soft with equally soft smoked salmon and cream cheese. Cute cafe with window seating and cardamom coffee!

My experience was really nice. Filling snacks. Vegetarian options are available. I had a bagel and a sandwich both were really good and I was full after having both. Not very expensive. Worth it. Do give it a try.

We came here for a quick brunch one morning and where blown away with the food! As a vegan you don’t expect brilliant sandwich options in most places but this was fab, very reasonably priced and lovely staff. It was so good we called a second time on the same trip :)

I was passing by today and the queue was quite long, but moving quickly. So I thought I should give it a try. I asked for a TOASTED, coronation chicken ciabatta ….. absolutely delicious, mouth watering, and probably the best, chance, lunch choice I’ve made in a very long time. Reasonably priced quality food, friendly and efficient staff. I’m not often in the area but I will definitely make sure I return. 100% worth a visit.

Found Bobby’s Sandwich Bar after a recommendation. And it did not disappoint! My chicken salad was toasty and perfect for walking around Edinburgh!

I was early for a local hospital appointment and nipped in for a quick coffee and snack.I had a fantastic and tasty cappuccino made with oat milk. Lovely. (Not all places can make a cappuccino with oat milk). Home made chocolate slice went down well too. 😋 I overheard an interaction between one of the genuinely friendly two men that obviously run Bobby’s, and a family with two small children who appeared to be tourists. The customer service was excellent and felt I had to put up here how good it was. If you are in this area, go in here and you’ll be treated very well. Keep up the great customer service gents, and I wish you well for future trading.

Great place, many locals seem to come here for lunch. I had a gluten free pastrami bagel to go, which was delicious. The place was very small and crowded so I wouldn’t particularly recommend eating in (except by good weather on the terrace). The staff was lovely.

We went to Bobby's for breakfast rolls this morning. The staff were absolutely fantastic, made room for us in the busy shop for our wheelchair and we're so attentive. The way they greeted all customers was just fantastic. It was a pleasure to see folk so happy in their work. I recommend Bobby's Sandwich Bar as a must do in Edinburgh.

Dissapointed after reading good reviews . The service was really off putting after the rude attitude of the server when they got our orders wrong. Not a very happy staff

You have to try the toast, they are to die for, the toasted bagle with turkey and bacon are amazing! Fantastic to grab quick a bite!
