Perfect coffee and bacon roll, lovely friendly staff, very reasonable!

Wonderful place! Went for breakfast twice while visiting Edinburgh. Delicious food and friendly service. The spicy lentil soup was so tasty.

Very good food no question about that but I think £5.59 for a tea and morning Roll is bit expensive when all the ingredients are so cheap egg paper cup a tea bag ect not expensive and most places buy them in bulk also no sit in only take away so for only take away place the price's should respect that and big lines daily to get served with a very small shop very confined space definitely not disabled accessible or a a easy environment for people with like autism for example as overwhelming came to my mind when I visited but the food was very nice and I respect the hard working staff would be nice to see people feeling more accommodation..

Came up for Turing Fest 2024 and was here about 4 times a day. Great hot coffee, huge selection of sandwiches, wraps etc and a great breakfast baps. If you are ever hungry and nearby check this place out.

I always come for the amazing sandwich they make everyday. Even though I do not live near this restaurant, but it worths coming twice a week to eat their delicious sandwiches. TOTALLY recommend to try it at least once the staff is SO SO kind as well they make food with love 🥹❤️

Sleep on this place at your own peril. Not even kidding when I say this place is a local institution. Food is excellent, I go probably 3 times a week and Scoobys has not once let me down. Tony is a hoot and keeps you on your toes while you wait. Can't recommended this place enough.

Lovely wee deli to pick up a quick lunch. The firecracker chicken is delicious. This has become one of my go to places to pick my lunch out during weekdays. Would definitely recommend as the food is great and staff is very friendly.

Delicious cranberry Brie bacon sandwich. Got it two days in a row! The gentleman working the counter was fun and lively!

My only complaint is that I didn't find this place earlier in my trip! Simply delicious with amazing bread and fresh fillings. The friendly, upbeat service was a bonus. All-around bright spot!

I had the bacon, brie and cranberry toastie. One of the best sandwiches I have ever had and the service was brilliant. Will go again.

I think its great value for money at least when u want a fulfilling lunch with good taste also if people looking for something HALAL they got options, I usually go for the Firecracker in a panini and it never lets u down . Also the gentleman and the lady working their are very friendly and helpful!

My office is just up the road on Morrison Street so Scooby's is where I go for lunch. They have a great selection of sandwich fillings and the staff are friendly and always smiling. Was in again yesterday for a toastie and a nice portion of chicken noodle soup.

Shame that my morning roll was 50/50. Lorne was rock hard, blackpudding was nice. Normally get haggis roll but thought I'd try something different today, the microwaving of the lorne was obviously not great.

So me and my family took at trip to Edinburgh and were looking for a breakfast place and i was getting sooooooo tired and so mad, but I loved it when we found it! I remember I had a scrambeled egg and bacon and tomato ketchup in a morning roll.....SOOOO GOOOODD and an oasis. Such nice people and excellent service! We ended up going there the next day too :)

Perfect for a quick takeaway breakfast/lunch. We have been here a couple of times for coffee and a nibble before a day exploring Edinburgh and it is simply amazing. The prices are super cheap and there is plenty of ingredients choices for sandwiches, paninis, etc. I loved the lentil and bacon soup and they also have a couple more choices (like the mushroom soup), which it’s just what you need on these winter days. The owner is super friendly and hardworking, he is quick but if you are in a hurry try to avoid lunch hours during week days because everyone from the offices on the other side of the road seems to take food from here (which is definitely a good sign).

I came across this takeaway sandwich shop recently and it’s such a great find! They have a huge selection of delicious fillings for sandwiches/rolls etc, as well as a great choice of snacks and drinks. The food was so delicious, and the service was great, the place has a friendly, positive and welcoming vibe and I’d highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a fab breakfast/lunch on the go.

Tony and jen are simply brilliant. They work so hard and have done so serving the people of the centre during g the pandemic, really heroes keeping workforces marching on their belly.

A first time visit for me a few weeks back. We'd arrived at the EICC for my husband to have his second vaccine. He was sure his appointment was for 1:30pm and we were early. I double checked his appointment letter and he was actually booked in for 1:45pm so we had around a half hour wait. We spotted Scooby's and I decided to go in and grab a coffee. My husband was hungry so asked me to grab 'some kind of toastie; ham and cheese will be fine,' because we didn't know if it was quite a basic cafe or not. It's not! I ordered my coffee then asked for the toastie, and was offered a selection of beautiful cheeses! 🧀 I went with Jarlsberg and a smoked cheese with the ham. 😋 The gentleman serving was lovely and chatted away while I waited on the toastie. I thought business would've boomed for him being straight across from the centre but he explained that it hadn't made any difference. Most people just arrive and head off immediately afterwards, which is a shame. However, my second appointment will be due in a couple of weeks and I'll certainly make a return visit to Scooby's while I'm there!

Drive around town for work mon-fri and this is one of the best lunch spots we’ve been too. The Mexican chicken and jarlsberg cheese toastie is the boaby.

Walked past to get a subway for my train, but seen how busy this little shop was. Walked in, so many choices I couldn’t decide, since I was in a rush I told the very kind gentleman to make me what he likes. Best sandwich I’ve ever had. He was very happy with my request and it made my day. Probably more important than ever to keep small local businesses like this alive in the current troubling time. Way better experience than any chain. I would recommend Mexican chicken, cheese and salad over everything. I certainly will be back. Peace and Love people!

I came here for lunch during covid 19. Great menue selection, the best customer service making you feel at easy running through all the options. The gentleman serving today was so positive and friendly. I stood outside while waiting on my panini cooking, I watched through the window - his hygiene and care was fantastic! I watched him sanatise religiously after handling money and put so much care into his job. Really lovely place I will definitely be back for lunch in the future.

Came across this whilst working in our Edinburgh office and I cannot highly recommend enough! The owner is a delight! The food is so fresh, absolutely delicious and very generous portions. I will be recommending this place to all my colleagues and suggest you do the same :) Never fails to delight!

I was admittedly very stubborn in changing my regular lunch venue from Rapid Rolls to Scooby's, but by jings am I glad I did. I have now been 4 times and tried 4 very different options from mexican chicken with mozarella in a brown toasted ciabatta to a crayfish salad wrap. Safe to say I am now wholeheartedly in love with their work. Admittedly, it's 50p more expensive than other spots, but absolutely worth it! Nathan

This is the best sandwich shop in the area, fantastic home cooked soups, the lentil and bacon soup is renown, and a huge selection of sandwiches with specials every day... we work opposite in the EICC and monitor the queue from the foyer, then dash over when it gets shorter, but you always get served quickly even when really busy, well worth the wait.

I recomend popping by, atleast for breakfast. Traditional scons are available alredy with jam and butter and coffe is good. (To jul.2017 Latte+2 redy to eat scons, 4,60 £) Staff is friendly and always smiling, not to easy to find these days! Well done! If you just whant a quick take away breakfast then pay them a visit!

My wife and I called in for a toasted sandwich today. They have quite a comprehensive snack menu with plenty of choice, and you get service with a smile .

Nice coffee served with a smile. Our son liked the fresh fruit smoothie and it was no trouble when he decided to take it away.

Everytime I've ordered from there my order is wrong! Gave up on it until this morning but I was getting order for a few folk at work and it was requested. Order yet again wrong. Makes me look bad with my colleagues. I won't mind but I slowly told him my order. Just seems to be when I'm ordered bacon rolls or anything in the morning

I eat from Scoobys on a very regular basis ! Massive choice of fillings and breads plus hot foods. Staff are fantastic and monster effecient.

We enjoyed the vibe in this small cafe, just a round of hot drinks for us but service was pleasant and the food looked good too!

El personal era extremadamente amable y servicial y la comida era rápida. Había de estar fuera, en un día agradable era genial (aparte de las gaviotas se lanzan hacia abajo y tratando de robar su comida). Toda la comida y las bebidas que probé era increíble, acabamos volviendo por el desayuno dos veces más! Sin duda lo recomiendo!

The shop is small and indoor seating is limited.Luckily, the sun was shining and the outdoor seating was in the sun.Tight menu but it is a sandwich shop.Young female staff were efficient, helpful and all gave a warm smile when serving.The coffee was in a mug, suited my taste and reasonably priced.The scone was as good as most places.

Went to scooby doo's a few time. The sandwiches and hot drinks are really great and it's all very reasonably priced which is rare, especially at the fringe. Lovely atmosphere, good service and wifi available.

Every Friday without fail, someone from the office makes the walk to Scoobys. It's almost like a substitute cafeteria for us. The breakfast rolls are always perfect, the staff friendly, the owner is an absolute champion. 5/5.

This is a great place to go for lunch. There is a huge selection of sandwich/roll fillings and soups. I had a roll and a soup, both of which were really tasty and big so I was full. Also a good choice of drinks and snacks. I'll definitely be back. Friendly service with some joking to go along with it!

Visited Edinburgh for a long weekend. Had breakfast here everyday and tried something different each day. All meals were really tasty. Prices and portions are great. Something for everyone. Staff are polite and friendly. Really nice atmosphere too!

After a long walk around the city we needed a nice break and a coffee. Ideal place. Great coffee and reasonably priced hot toasted sandwiches on a cold January afternoon. Staff were friendly and polite and the atmosphere was good.

Food if good (only good) portions vary depending on who serves you...no third chance though..I won't be back and will encourage colleagues to give it a wide berth.

Basically a takeaway, I used Scoobies for years when I worked nearby. I always buy a roll if I am in the neighbourhood. There is a plethora of this type of establishment in Edinburgh but this is one of the best.

A tiny cafe but big on service, smiles and portions.We chose the American breakfast which came with oodles of sweet crisp bacon...I could'nt believe I managed to scoff the lot.Washed down with a really nice Americano coffee.Definitely worth a visit.

Struggled to choose somewhere for something to eat as there was so much choice in this area, but we were so glad we chose Scoobys. Gorgeous food, great service good prices. The smoothies were lovely!

I LOVE Scooby's. The range of choice of fillings, breads and soups is excellent and everything I've eaten has been very good quality. Aside from the food, Tony and his team always give a warm and fun welcome. If there is a long queue then that's just a sign of the shop's popularity - you won't have to wait too long and it's well worth it.

This place is mental, but you get a very fair feed and the madness is over quickly. You're spoilt on Morrison Street for these tiny locally run independent food and drinks places. Try them all, especially this one and it's closest cafe 'wee coffee bar' which is completely different yet equally good.

Me and my girlfriend had breakfast here and was greeted by a very friendly member of staff followed by a very well priced and tasty breakfast. Tucked away on the way to castle but you'll see it. a low cost but not low quality breakfast.

Working in the city centre, means I have tried every possible sandwich shop within about a half mile radius and this is by far the best.The range is excellent, the fillings are all really good - when I go for a tuna and cheese toastie, I have 3 cheese options and about 5 tuna mixes to choose from! The drinks and dried foods they have in the shop are really good as well which makes a big difference! If you get bored of eating the same thing everyday, there is so much more to try in here - sandwiches, toasties, rolls, soups, jacket potatoes, paninis...all sortsI keeping the rating at 5 stars because it is the best in the area by a long way, but I would say that I wish they had a different way of keeping the breads. They have a great selection of breads and rolls, but they are all on top of the counter and they are uncovered, and directly where peoples mouths would be when shouting over to order - I just find it a bit unhygienic, I tend to go for sliced bread because its covered up but I'd love to have a bit more variety.The other sandwich shops nearby that are decent are Pronto and Rapid Rolls. - Scoobys wins for me because pronto doesn't have a great choice and is more expensive, and Rapid Rolls is too risky (half the staff give you excellent sandwiches, but the other half given you so little filling that its practically spread!)...so I would stick with Scoobys!

La sosta, sebbene breve, merita di essere recensita.Innanzitutto locale piccolo ma ben tenuto, non ci sono sedie o tavoli, al massimo potete appoggiarvi su una mensola vicino alla finestra. Per una colazione al volo o uno spuntino è più che sufficiente.Caffè e cappuccino secondo gli standard britannici, sandwich preparati al momento prendendo gli ingredienti dal bancone a vista. Croissant e pasticceria ottima. Il plus è il garbo del personale che vi accoglie e vi tratta amichevolmente mettendovi a vostro agio.Non ci siamo tornati il giorno successivo solo perché uscendo dall'albergo abbiamo cambiato percorso.

Ok, perhaps I am over exaggerating given that I have not been to every sandwich shop in Edinburgh, however this place is great and definitely the best around the Lothian Road area. The place is always mobbed but it never takes long to get served. The staff are friendly and the selections of fillings etc are excellent. The soups in particular are always great and are always changing. Great wee place.
