Great example of a proper British pub. Darts, pool, live bands and real ales. There’s even a big friendly dog that will certainly let you stroke him. Great place to come with kids or on a Sunday, the atmosphere is unmatched. Mind ye head, the ceiling can be low in spots.

Llevo años viniendo a este café y ahora estoy en el punto en el que no volveré. Estoy tan cansada de la grosería que encuentro cada vez que voy. Sería malo no importa cuáles sean los precios pero si estoy gastando 4. 50 por un bocadillo espero al menos una sonrisa y un saludo, o el cielo no permita un agradecimiento. Rara vez tengo contacto visual, nunca hay una sonrisa, los servidores están constantemente en su teléfono o hablando entre sí ignorando a los clientes. Un día me rendí y me fui porque no me podían atender. Hay un soderburg expreso a la vuelta de la esquina y el caballero allí muestra un excelente servicio al cliente. The staff and service were absolutely fantastic, but the chef was the real star. Honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in my entire life. Can’t recommend enough.

Great Greasy Spoon . If you want a proper English breakfast with lots of choices this place is got you . They even had fried potato my favourite.

Came here on a Sunday lunchtime. We didn't have a reservation and even though they were busy, friendly staff managed to seat us quickly. You order your drinks and food at the bar which was easy and quick to do. Food came out in good time and was very good. All in all it was a great experience and we will be back again. A great pub with great staff.

Since discovering this little gem we no longer visit the area without popping in. The chocolate twists are generously sized, nice and buttery, and the coffee is divine. The staff are more than happy to cater to all my awkward needs and questions with a smile - nothing is too much trouble!

Literally had my wedding reception and evening party yesterday at The Manor barn, what a great day, The staff was amazing, Sue was so attentive,The food was beautiful couldn't have asked for a better place Thank you all

Not a good meal at all, the steak was bland and tasteless, basic food, very poor quality, no salad or garnish, really disappointing. The older lady that served us was miserable, we did not feel at all welcome there, it seems like she felt we were beneath the establishment. Such a shame as it's a lovely looking place in a beautiful location. I've been there quite a few times over the years though I will not be returning. If you want to get looked down upon this is definitely the place to be.

Great little pub in the middle of Newick serving excellent pub grub, the pies were excellent and I can definitely recommend them to anyone visiting.
