The staff and service were absolutely fantastic, but the chef was the real star. Honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in my entire life. Can’t recommend enough.

We popped up for early tea Friday eve and had a couple of burgers. The girls were brilliant and seated us somewhere quiet with our dog. We managed to get a few cocktails before the end of happy hour and the drunk monkey was the favourite! You’ve got to try the dipping gravy with the burgers and the onion rings are a must!

We hadn’t booked a table but the hostess managed to squeeze us in very kindly on a busy Saturday evening. The cocktails were tasty, we had burgers that were cooked to perfection . The spicy one as warned by the hostess was certainly spicy and made me cry a little! Great all round experience.

I went to the Limehouse with a party of 3 tonight and the food was amazing, the portion sizes were great and food was cooked brilliantly. The service was also great, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere of the whole place was very nice. The Limehouse should have a lot more visitors as it is a great place whether you just want a drink or are planning on having a nice meal it’s a great venue to go. Overall I enjoyed the experience and I’m excited to visit again.

We were attracted by the rustic and cool vibe. A rather delightful waitress. The waiter on the other hand somewhat surly and uncommunicative. Average food, soggy flat bread. Floppy chips. I always find an imposed service charge presumptuous and then find myself paying it. For the first time I resisted. The low point being the unprofessional and irritating behaviour of the crew watching a programme on their phone by the bar with the sound turned up. 🇬🇧🇳🇿

Thanks to a footpath being closed, I hiked into Clevedon via a circuitous route and found myself in an upper part of the town, where I dived into the first bar I came to, which was Limehouse. They were just about still doing food, so I ordered a burger and fries. It was an unexpectedly terrific meal: a tasty big piece of chicken filled the burger, plus pulled pork and sauce; accompanied by a whacking great portion of fries. Just what I needed after labouring down the coast path in the cold rain. It was an American-style burger meal, because the pub has a US theme in play. They've gone big on the Brooklyn beers and lagers, with several on tap. I found myself working my way along the line as I settled into the vibe here, which I really liked. The staff were friendly and chatty--including an earnest and amusing young lady called Lottie running the bar. Locals started trickling in, and they too were chatty and comical, so I stayed much longer than I intended. Much love to Limehouse bar and its sample of the fun people of Clevedon.

Lost identity unfortunately. Used to do really good quality cocktails (as expected at a cocktail bar), that served good food also. Now it’s redecorated to look like an American diner (with really good burgers) but the cocktails aren’t nice/ are undrinkable. They no longer use good quality spirits/alcohol & use cheap alternatives for classic cocktail ingredients, which render them nothing like the classic, whilst all for the same premium drink price they were before. Feels like an overpriced TGI’s.

I had high expectations of this place, having been recommended it by a friend.I was looking forward to a tasty burger.First impressions were poor - we walked in to an empty bar area and were not greeted; I went up to a narky woman sat at her laptop to explain I had a booking and she couldn't look less interested! The burgers were very average and very overpriced (£8.50) - with fries to pay on top of this! Ketchup was watered down, menu's were filthy, tables were dirty and sticky, milkshakes were fake and overpriced and overall I felt let down. The most disappointing thing though was the staff; two women in their 20's who were completely disengaged. No rapport nor customer service skills whatsoever.I won't be returning and I won't be recommending to friends either.

Music was weird, all dance music didn't fit the theme at all, was expecting old blues or American country music, but I guess the staff wanted to show off their Spotify playlist. Have tried twice to order takeaway latest today at 15:25 on a Friday, was told they don't do takeaway, when my partner mentioned that their website says they do takeaway they just rudely hung up. I guess the owner doesn't want customers. Don't think we will revisit it or recommend it as there are many other places nearby that are more welcoming. Shame really

We visited here with friends over the bank holiday weekend. We choose this restaurant as they had a varied menu and very good procedures in place following the pandemic. In entering the restaurant we were warmly greeted and asked to complete the QR code registration. We were then showed to a table where we were served with drinks. Then we moved to our main table in restaurant, which we had all evening. Loved the way they served us and we didn’t have to go to bar, food was excellent and because of this we stayed much longer! The only downside was the waiter was quite new and kept getting our drinks wrong and the toilets were a bit disorganised as there was no hand dryer or paper towels to dry your hands. Apart from that we had a great time and we would recommend you give it a try.

Visited with two other people. Busy evening with really nice atmosphere, I love the decor of this place. Service was mixed. I was drinking mocktails, a choice of 3 different drinks with not much variation in ingredients. First I ordered Cranberry cooler - ginger ale (seemed a bit flat) and a bit of cranberry juice, straight glass, no garnish, came with a paper straw much like a child’s drink. Second I ordered a Shirley Temple, the exact same drink arrived. I took it back and the girl agreed it was the wrong drink and she’s bring the drink I ordered over, she then came over and said they’d run out of ginger ale so can’t make the Shirley Temple. No offer of an alternative drink so I said I’d have the one I had just taken back, she brought it over saying I was lucky because she was just about to pour it away! Lucky me I thought . Definitely not worth 4.50 each. The alcoholic cocktails were very nice and seemed to be made with care and attention. The barman was also receptive to making a cocktail not on the list had they had the correct ingredients. It would be nice if all customers were treated equally. There is so much scope for non alcoholic cocktails, they could still be made with care and presented nicely. Perhaps try some Seedlip recipes in nice round gin glasses.

The service was friendly and available but the food was poor. Nearly all meals were burnt and been covered in gravy to hide the sins. Very few roast potatoes, dry Yorkshire’s and very little veg. The children’s meals were all burnt with the roasted veg covered in a grain mustard type glaze - poor decision for a children’s meal generally. I would also say the children’s meals were a little too expensive. This venue needs to pick up as there is some excellent competition locally and the quality of staff deserve better from the kitchen

What looked like a trendy cosy place to dine for a birthday treat unfortunately failed us..Right from the off we knew we could encounter a few problems when we were told the lime house were out of house red so we had to choose a more expensive bottle which was opened and plonked on the table with 3 glasses,(different),I would expect a sample poured and offered to taste. Starters were lovely but served before the wine arrived,(different). The mains followed very quickly, two were lovely but the other two were cold and under cooked and had to be returned. We were then asked if we wanted them heated or new meals prepared. As they had served almost raw fish we opted for replaced meals,(different). A complimentary coffee was offered but the damage was done as two guests had almost finished when the cooked fish arrived. We could accept a couple of issues but not at these price points and there were too many issues. The staff were young and not well trained, and not very professional. We all said someone with a bit more maturity and experience in charge would have helped.. and yes the gents toilets were disgusting..Such a shame because we all agreed this establishment had potential...

The Limehouse is a cosy bar on Clevedon's much vaunted Hill Road. My wife and I shared a plate of Arancini while waiting for our mains, and it was superb! For mains, I had a cheese, tomato and basil panino (yeah, I know, most people would just say panini, but there was only one and I'm a pedant), which comes with an incredible two sides and a choice of sauce. For £5! I went for hand-battered onion rings and Limehouse fries, with chimichurri sauce. Very nice indeed. Limehouse fries, if you're wondering (I was) are just French Fries, from what I could tell. They were OK, but my wife's triple-cooked chips were better. With her superior chips, she had a steak and mushroom pie. It was a rustic, free-standing, circular pie in majestically strong pastry, served atop a bed of fresh seasonal vegetables. She said it was lovely - it wasn't absolutely packed with meat, but what there was was tender and tasty. The shared starter and two meals came in at around £20. Service was prompt and courteous. A very good experience.

A large birthday meal was directly behind us. I waited nearly 15 minutes for a drink. The tables were so close together the waitress had to slide the meals down the table! We were also on the walkway to the toilets. Having to get up out of the chair every time someone wanted to visit the loo. Were were told very bluntly that we would be told when we could order as the kitchen was busy with the birthday table. No apologies. Again a long wait for another drink. Food took a while was ok but not cheap. The whole evening was ruined by being crammed in like sardines. I would hate to think of what would of happened if there was a fire. Won't be rushing back.

I recently went for the bottomless brunch with a couple of friends. I had the Limehouse Eggs, which were very nice although a larger portion would have been good. The disappointing part was that they will only top up your glass when it's empty - which is fine, but with only 2 staff on that kept disappearing, we were left with empty glasses for quite a long time. For £30.00 a head, I would have expected them to just leave the bottle on the table - they weren't very busy either, so I don't know where they kept going. After our allotted time, I bought another bottle of prosecco and paid for my brunch at the same time, my 2 friends paid as we were leaving. As we walked out of the venue and up the road, we were chased after and the girl shouted that I hadn't paid. I confirmed I had but was still brought back in front of everyone while they checked the til - which was mortifying. I of course had paid, and they put it down to a change of shift for them not knowing, but there was no apology. With such a disappointing level of customer service, I would think twice about going back, especially when it is so expensive.

I’ve now had two bad experiences in The Limehouse, first one going for evenings drinks where were given half full cocktails that were very expensive & we had to send them back, & the 2nd experience was when they refused to except vouchers we had won in a raffle, these vouchers were donated by the bars previous owners so cash was exchanged for them & the fact the bar has changed hands is irrelevant, the bar benefited from the advertising all over the flyers, tickets posters etc that came with the small £20 donation, we did stay for a round of cocktails but they too were disappointing, extremely expensive & equally weak

We live locally and often pop into the Lime House for an evening meal. The staff are great and the food is usually fantastic. We love the fact we can bring our little dog in with us - he sits happily under the table. The Lime House is a real neighborhood gem.

Visited with friends 19th March 2019 despite friends warning that they had previously not been impressed. Really great evening food and service perfect. So pleased took our grown up son tonight 25th March at about 7.0pm. Despite being nearly empty had to search for menu as none brought to table. No one came to collect drinks order (which they had last week) and when they told adjacent table that their food would be another 10 minutes was that alright? They said not really we have already been waiting nearly an hour. We decided that we would not eat but it wasn't a problem as at no time did anyone approach our table. Remember it was nearly empty. On leaving we passed the bar where the bartender was leaning against the bar doing nothing. Won't go back. Really sad, we thought we'd found s good one. Fish and chips on way home.

My partner and I were in Clevedon for other business, but we planned to go out for coffee but walking up the high street we saw this place, and decided to go in for lunch. Decor in there was great, it was very clean in there as well, staff were helpful and friendly. We didn’t really know what to expect from the food but excellence if probably a good word for it. The quality was amazing. We’re going to eat there again soon but for dinner!

Stopped by on my lunch break for a quick meal. I went for the ham and cheese panini, letting the staff know I didn't have much time. The food came out very quickly and it was delicious. I'm always pretty impressed with the quality of the service at the Limehouse, staff is super helpful and friendly and the venue has a such a nice and cosy atmosphere. Definitely one of my favourites in Clevedon.

My daughter and I had a delicious sunday lunch at The Limehouse yesterday. The nachos with pulled pork was very tasty but the star of the show was the slow cooked roast beef with all the trimmings. Really superb. I gather there is a new chef and, from what I saw and tasted, the quality of the food is excellent. Great service too and friendly helpful staff.

I have been to the limehouse on a number of occasions since the new manager has started for both drinks and food. I have really enjoyed all the times I have been and the atmosphere is usually pretty good for having a drink as well. This weekend we went in, I had a pork roast and my partner had a chicken sunday roast and It was great looking forward to our next sunday to go eat there again.

Booked a Table on the 1st Jan for Sunday 6th, made booking by email, eventually got a response, went today, upon arrival I mentioned our booking, no record of it, but they could accommodate us, we were shown to a dirty stick table, which we had to ask the staff to clear and clean, this seem to cause a problem, so we got up and left, Pity as we used to come here twice a month.

As others have said it is a nice venue, but then they turn the music on, way too loud for a sunday lunch. As others have said the roast beef is overcooked but not terrible. We told them a year ago they needed to put in a baby changing table (it's still kneeling on a stone floor atm), this time the staff said please put in a written complaint as manager won't listen to them... Today though the manager appeared when I said OK let's do a formal complaint. He was not happy!

Looked like a nice relaxed venue when we arrived with very few people eating. Two of us checked what the soup of the day and decided to order it. A few minutes later we were told they had run out? Given that there was only 6 people eating and it was 90 minutes into a 4 hour service This couldn’t have been correct?

Have been visiting this venue on and off since it opened, and one thing it is consistent with is running out of things. In the past when we have visited with friends and family, the main event “drinks” have been an, IE. Running out of gin (although we had one option of a Japanese variety), Malibu and even Prosecco. Tonight we were told “Ice” was off the menu at approx 10.00pm. You would think with a Sainsbury’s right opposite that the staff could have taken the initiative to nip over and get a bag, but apparently the petty cash box budget had been spent. Although the location, atmosphere and surroundings were all convivial, gin without ice is sacrilege and the staff’s negative response was a real dampener - We left. Also watch out if you set up an account at the bar. Despite asking if this was secure, we found our account had been added to with our friends drinks. Luckily we were able to sort with our friends, but how did drinks get added to our bill without our authorisation. And finally, not once in the whole time were were there was our table cleaned/wiped, and we inherited a really “sticky” table from other people. To say this evening at the Limehouse was disappointing is an understatement.

Went to the Limehouse with my partner for date night and we were not disappointed. The service was prompt, warm and friendly. The drinks orders were taken after a few minutes and promptly bought to our table after which our food orders were taken. All the drinks and food we had were lovely, pornstar martini and bellinis are super amazing as is the chicken burgers and steak. We had sticky toffee and brownie for dessert and they too were fabulous. Overall amazing fresh cooked food served by a friendly and competent team. Would highly recommend. Coming back again soon!!!

The only good thing about my visit was the company I was with. On arrival were given drinks menu but nobody came to ask for order. Taken to table that had been booked since August nobody gave us a menu or asked about drinks. Had to ask for food menu and get own drinks menu. Drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive and they were ,ocktails that just tasted of soda water no fruit flavours at all. Had to ask to order food. When food arrived it was Luke warm, broccoli was rock hard and was taken back and still hard when returned to table. Gravy had fat floating on top and was Luke warm so did not have any. Food was edible and having starved all day looking forward to this was eaten as much as pissible but not enjoyable. When finished waitress asked if all ok which we said not really and got a sarcastic comment of “well you’ve eaten it” . We were told the drinks would be taken off the bill and we asked to speak to management and were told the young lady who was waitressing was the supervisor shedding not appear to have any customer service skills and when told our issues and complaint about attitude of waitress where told it was a matter of opinion. We foolishly paid for the food even though it was not worth the cost charged. We had planned to have dessert and cocktails but the bad customer service and horrendous mocktails did not entice us so we left to a much better establishment where we felt valued as customers, had good service and great dessert and cocktails. It was not an excuse that they said they were busy when clearly they were not and also we had booked so perhaps should not have taken more bookings if they did not have the staff to cope with demand. Will definately not be returning.

Very poor Customer Service and food below average at best, especially if you like raw broccoli with your Roast Dinner! Lukewarm food, raw broccoli, greasy watery gravy, no Yorkshire pudding which is advised on menu. Invisible cheese on cauliflower cheese. When waitress advised about all of this, attitude was full of excuses and verging on rude. Waited 20 minutes before asking if we could have a menu after being seated.

Had a large group of 17 friends pre booked in for our Christmas party yesterday, the food choices were placed and deposits taken well in advance. One person had a starter which came out over 3/4 and hour before any of the main meals arrived. The main meals were good on the whole , but the chicken tikka masala didn't taste right (and for this reason) it wasn't eaten, it should have had cream or yoghurt in the sauce, but neither of them appeared to be present. My Mediterranean salad was mostly lettuce and had no olives or feta which are commonly used in this dish, also my tequila tiger prawns were a small portion considering the price, another of our group had a Waldorf salad which was not very large considering it was a main meal on the menu. One of our party asked if we could have some music and was told they couldn't do that, but the TVs were on and showing football, even though we didn't want to watch them, and nobody other than our group, were sat in the area.

Not overly large place so booking is advisable. Having said that, 4 of us turned up without a reservation having had some difficulty in booking a table ? However, the lovely guy at the desk shuffled things around and got us a table. What a great experience ! Chicken, beef, lamb dishes were amazing! Rice, noodles, potatoes, salad, pasta, fish, calamari, chocolate cake, chocolate fountain, gatuea, whippy ice-cream, array of fresh fruit etc etc ... So many choices! We were VERY impressed and have already booked a return visit ! Staff are helpful and polite and kept very busy ! We thought it was good value for money. £13 for children. £20 for adults ...evening price . I think a little cheaper on a lunch time ? All in all a very good experience.

The pub itself is ok but be really careful if you park in the car park next to it. I didn't see the sign that I had to get a parking permit from the bar. Perhaps it would have been an idea if the bar staff had checked if I'd parked outside? Two drinks ended up costing me £70 once Civil Enforcement had done their worst.
