Costa in North Somerset

Great coffee shop in a great location looking out on the marina, on a nice day it can get very busy! As with all Costa, it's quite expensive but you do get decent food and drink. The lemon drizzle cake is amazing! Nice that you can get a free drink every now and then if you use the Costa app to collect points.

It’s a nice spot overlooking the marina. However the Barista that served me this morning could do with a little training. Using my reusable cup (to do my bit for the planet) firstly she didn’t apply hot water to clean it & heat it, which meant when she poured the coffee in, the coffee was luke warm. Secondly, she half filled it, unlike other costas & so it delivered me a double negative! May have well gone to waitrose and got a free coffee 🙄 Still, nice spot & clean.

Boiling hot flavourless tea. Paper cups fell apart and leaked. Tables dirty and covered in rubbish. AC present but not working despite how hot it was inside. Service was unprofessional and slow. Probably the worst costa I've ever been to

Being called love numerous times is not very professional. Also being asked to move as we were standing admiring the marina so a table could be moved to exactly where we were standing was ridiculous. The two young men serving need a lesson in customer service. We didn’t purchase anything from Costa but surely we can stand next to the railings and admire the marina!

Been here twice in recent weeks - it's a lovely spot for a good cup of coffee - nice and bright, with great service too. I'm a big Costa fan but this is one of their better restaurants.

I recently had a delightful experience at Costa Cafe in Portishead. Ashley provided exceptional service, demonstrating a genuine passion for customer satisfaction. It was a lovely sunny afternoon, so I headed to Portishead for a walk around the marina. I decided to go for coffee, my first choice was Mokoko Coffee & Bakery, however though the queue wasn’t too long, there appeared to be a lot of people waiting for their coffee. So I left and headed to Costa, which was a lot less busy. I ordered a Cortado and didn’t have to wait long before it was ready. It was a nice coffee.

Quick stop off today while working in Portishead, Staff a lovely and friendly and offer a great service , I recommend this location to all my customers when visiting , this is my go to Costa when in Portishead, The views are stunning , staff really friendly and helpful and always double cup my Americana without milk, as its hot to handle....Thank you again!

Sunday afternoon coffee at Costas. Nice location in Portishead overlooking the marina. The store is large with plenty of tables indoors and out. The toilets and is dog friendly. Staff are nice and service was quick for the time of day.

Great place to meet with my family, had a wide selection of drinks and cakes.

If you've got tastebuds you're best avoiding this place. You can literally go fifty yards down the street to Mokoko and get a *much* better experience for less money.

Situated in a great location at the top of the marina, this is a popular spot with the tables in the window being particularly sought over. It’s a reasonable size internally with plenty of seating to the left. They were very busy when we arrived, but that was just down to timing I think, ten minutes later and it was almost deserted. A tempting display of cakes was arranged on the counter, and I went for the seasonal Chocolate and Caramel bun. This was actually a little disappointing, the chocolate and caramel was confined to a thin layer on the top, with the bulk of the cake being rather dry. A large latte certainly was that, being in a cup so big in came with two handles and looked more like a soup bowl. It was pretty good though, so I’ve no complaints. Overall, this is a pleasant spot and the service seemed prompt enough considering how busy they were, but overall, there was nothing that would particularly tempt me back.

They do get very busy here, but are generally helpful when not rushed off their feet

Bacon roll was pretty damn good, chicken and mushroom toastie wasn't (lacked a reasonable amount of filling and was all in the center 1/3 of the toastie). Coffee Frostino was good, Belgian Chocolate Frostino wasn't (ice wasn't properly blended). For the cost, you're better off going elsewhere.

A very efficient restfull place to visit, lovely food and drink, very clean, lovely staff, and lovely venue of the marina inside or out. 😉

WoW this costa has seriously gone down big time ! We visit portishead fairly often as enjoy a walk around the marina and a costa. My son and i visited on Wednesday for a take away costa, nobody was on the door so we went in and sociallly distanced in the short queue, a member of staff then came in from outside took of her coat and put her phone down and then said to us have you sanitised yours hands ... umm excuse me but did you sanitise your hands when you came in from outside, no ! but YES we did ! Only two people in front of us but the lady making the drinks was so slow and then when came to us got our drinks wrong and when i politely told her she just rolled her eyes ! Took coffee away and mine was the most disgusting drink i have ever had, think she had forgotten to put the coffee in ! Couldnt be bothered to take it back, sanitise, mask and queue ! Standards need to be upped.

Better than average Costa, primarily due to most the tables having some sort of view of the marina. We were there on a Saturday morning at it was humming.

Always find Costa very efficient with a good selection of snacks,and cakes Value pretty good bearing in mind the location

It was OK, but not very clean. Caramel crisp was awfully too sweet.

Manager does the best Costa we’ve had. Better than Camden, Kensington, Barcelona Marina. Nice views outside. Friendly staff. Spoilt only by the vile language from the weird pub next door and it’s odd customers. All in all excellent Costa.

I have never received bad service in here before but then I had never been served by this lady before. Ordered the same drink that I’ve been ordering for years, when served it looked very weak, so I let the lady preparing the drinks know straight away, to which she rolled her eyes on me and exasperated “it’s the syrup!!” as if I’m supposed to know what that means. Then she dropped half of the drink on the sink in front of me and proceeded to add more of that famous syrup. She then brought that same drink back to me halfway empty!! I politely asked if she could make the drink again as that wasn’t appropriate, she rolled her eyes back at me again, then at her colleague a the cashier! Customers waiting looking at the scene in disbelief. I have never been made feel so small in an establishment I have visited for years and never had a problem at. Some people should clearly not work in hospitality! At giving it two stars as the cashier was lovely and tried to help.

This is my local, yes I'm now of an age where alcohol is replaced by coffee ! I always get a warm welcome, lots of smiles and laughs and of course great coffee. It does get busy at times because of the location and especially when the sun's out. That fact it's busy says a lot about how popular it is.

A perfect spot to enjoy a hot chocolate or iced coffee. Outdoor seating area is great when the sun is shining looking out onto the marina. Could be in the south of France.

Just to say ever since I've been coming here for the past years I've noticed two people that's they are always friendly and polite and courteous at all times from the moment you arrived they are smiling and give you a warm welcome and one of the girls called Natalia she makes an amazing flat white u cannot fault it! And then you have Leanne and she is so polite and courteous she makes the great latte I have been to many Costas up-and-down Bristol and in and around Weston-super-Mare and Shadow this is one of the best for customer service can assure you that you would get a warm welcome when you come here.

The coffee blend is not as strong as it used to be.

Visit here regularly with friends and always find the customer service fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble and following an emergency call whilst collecting my coffee this morning they went the extra mile and ensured that I still got my much needed coffee and toast despite having to run out of the cafe! In terms of the quality of the food, the choice and quality is always great and their new roast coffee delicious and to top it all the view of the Marina is beautiful. I will not go anywhere else!

What more can you say about a chain coffee franchise. Good coffee, great choices of delicious sweet stuff. Friendly staff, fast service, free WiFi to use. Well worth it if you are in need of some java love!

Nice and relaxing overlooking the Marina

Visited this morning on my way to work for coffee and toast breakfast. Gave up waiting on the toast after 20 minutes.

A fabulous view from here when sitting and having a coffee. You can see virtually the whole of the Marina.

Exactly the same as any other Costa. Expensive.

This Costa is very popular with the locals and visitors. A great place to sit and chat over a well made coffee and the usual Costa snacks. Very friendly and helpful staff, seating outside for dog walkers and cyclists. It can get very busy on Sundays so be prepared to queue.

Ideally situated on the edge of the marina to sit and watch the boats coming and going. Not too far from public car park.

Great location. Pastel de Nata was disappointing, served from the fridge. Nuf said

Had to ask for clean cup as one thry gave us was dirty and the teaspoons were very dirty with dried food still on it.

My wife and I collected our Grandaughter from pre-school and we made a beeline to this comfy cafe for her to have het favourite My5 drink and a flapjack.
