Great place to catch up with friends. Friendly service. Great price for drinks. I haven't eaten there so can't comment on the food.

Price-wise this place is like stepping back in time. Enjoyed a pint of well looked after beer.

Popped in for a drink with friends on Christmas Day. First visit. Friendly staff and served promptly. My only criticism were there were only chairs and tables, no sofas so lacked the cosy feel but otherwise great place for locals to meet.

Really great staff, friendly atmosphere. 50p pool table ( rare nowadays ). Cheap prices on beers across the range. Well worth a visit. Only gripe is dogs only allowed outside. Not great when weather is poor.

I live opposite and use this pub occasionally, all I done was parked in the car park for less then 20 seconds to drop my shopping off then a barmaid started shouting at me to move my car, wouldn’t listen to me at all. Very rude, saying I shouldn’t park there, I explained I will move it and she replied I don’t care , I then called back via telephone to make a complaint and she hung up on me, I do NOT recommend this pub to anyone based on the staff in question and would advice leave well alone, very dissatisfied as a local.

It was a sports bar in Weston,everybody was friendly in there and the drinks were at a reasonable price.

This is very nice pub to visit as the drinks aren't expensive. The bar staff are polite and I have never felt like an outsider whilst there. The pub has had a major refurb and looks quite classy.

Staff on the door were rude and didnt seem to understand the guidelines. Nevermind, we all wont be going there again but I'm sure they don't need the custom at the moment.

I am very disappointed with how we were treated today. We had a table booked for 3 at 2.30pm then also requested another table from 4.30 onwards to extend drinks with further family members. However, the Bristol House rule is maximum of 5 per table, providing that doesn't interfere with the walk way to the toilet. So, after my friends left and my immediate family came to join us they were refused entry. Apparently, this was down to the managers discretion (on a last night pre lock down I'd rather see the boss), that although I'd previously booked another table next to us, for four, we weren't all allowed to sit there. So this is four adults and 2 children under the age of 12 that would if taken up a table of four!? Please can someone explain the meaning of this! I was told it wasn't possible for all of us to sit down (kids on laps), even though we were happy to leave when we were needed to, if that table was needed. Anyway, decided to leave immediately and will certainly not be going back again. However, I'd just like to add that the staff were very un accommodating and gave us a very sarcastic cheery 'goodbye' when we abruptly left. Mr Proper Job I think you need to re-assess your staffs customer service skills.

Have just been in here for 2 minutes.. I'm sorry but the little hitler on the door was enough for me and my party to leave before getting past the intrusion at the door. Covid has been difficult for everyone but I have never been so rudely spoken too at the entrance to any pub during this time. Some customer service skills required here.

This is a proper pub! Nice airy decor. A fantastic range of drinks. Priced incredibly reasonably. They offer pub grub, which is locally sourced and tastes amazing and again is really good value. And not pretentious in any way. The bar staff can't do enough for you. I would absolutely recommend, and I do in fact x

Perfect food, had the mix grill and best ever, all food spot on with superb service.

We last went to this pub about 2 years ago and had an awful meal. We visited the other evening for the first time since and the meals were extremely good. The Hunters Chicken was served with two juicy breasts of chicken and a good covering of bacon and smothered in melted cheese, a fresh salad and good portion of chips. The other meal was ham, egg and chips. The ham was a very large portion cut from the bone and very tasty. Service was friendly and efficient and the price very reasonable. Two different football matches were being shown on TVs at either end of the bar. Excellent value for money.

We really enjoy good food and a few drinks ... the Bristol House ..newly refurbished a few years ago is our new amazing local ... its thriving on a community spirit that is rare nowadays... your drinks are being poured as you walk through the door. The staff are so friendly and do this pub proud... nick the main chef is fab and really wants his food to be enjoyed.. my steak tonight ..locally sourced was cooked to perfection..the prices are low ..but this isn't the reason we come here.... it's the people and the welcome and the sence that everyone coming through the door is welcome and valued ... Popped in to the Bristol House as in Milton Road around lunchtime. Excellent wide selection of food, picked out the 'ham, egg, beans & chip's. The quantity was very balanced with a very large slice of ham, washed down with a pint of Gem - Bath Ale. Service on time and with a smile😉

Great prices of both food and drink. Liked the food, big sizes. Perfect place to go and watch for example football as they have TV on every corner 😀

It's ok wouldn't say I would have it as my local pub to many young children under 13 in there. Should be a certain time for children to be in pubs . And they shouldnt be around bars other pubs have a certain time

Brilliant local boozer- really clean all on one level - pool table - great friendly staff and quick service- there is an entrance at the rear with only a very small step - this should be much better for a wheelchair or those not so steady on their feet -

Went for breakfast. Excellent value! 2 of everything, eggs, bacon,hash browns, sausages, beans, tomatoes, black pudding, toast and unlimited tea and coffee. All for £4.99! Lots of other options on the menu including vegetarian.

Ate here today...To say the roast was shocking was an understatement Cubed Swede, sliced carrots that are obviously frozenCauliflower and broccoli probably frozen too boiled to death so much so the broccoli wasn't even green anymore, something that resembled cabbage but didn't taste like itPork that didn't taste like pork and to top it off all utterly swimming in gravy it was disgusting The man who brought the food over has about as much charisma as a cornflake and he was dripping with sweat with was incredibly off putting, although I can't think why I've never found using a microwave sweaty work!!All in all it was awful

Enjoyed a pint of soda water with blackcurrant at only 50p - the cheapest anywhere! Had lunch of egg and chips which was nice. I feel comfortable going to this pub alone - staff are friendly. No trouble. There is also plenty of parking. Shame the halloumi is no longer on the menu! I won't hold it against the pub!

We came to have a meal with friends and have to say this is the worst pub I've ever been to. Waited for 40 mins for food when the wait time was 15-20, the batter on the fish was uncooked and the service was abysmal.

Very Clean Smart Looking pub, medium sized and has nice outdoor seating area, pool room, several large screen TV`s and good parking area, good curry night, can be lively some evenings. Good menu and Breakfast is well cooked, reasonable portions and great price. Some great Beer and Cider. Staff are extremely helpful hard working and polite.

The bar staff were very helpful in regards to allergies and intolerances in food, however I was surprised to see a member of staff eating behind the bar and not washing their hands before serving a customer, if they had been eating peanuts that could have put a member of our group in a severe medical emergency. Overall it was very pleasant there good bar food and reasonably priced

First time visit , felt very uncomfortable,like as if we had two heads.We ordered food , and was given an option of peas, or beans with sausage and mash and came out with veg & gravy, the chips on the hunters chicken and potion of cheesy chips were burnt...the hunters chicken had beans .The other meal prawn salad came out with no bread butter , asked for brown bread ( had none ) came out witb a burger bun , which i sent back , then came out with slices of white bread . so for first time not impressed and wont be recomending . Saturday 23rd march , hubbys birthday ...disapointed
