Best pub I've ever been with my dog, they love dogs here, everyone was really friendly, and made a big fuss of our dog, treats, doggy bags, and water supplied, great little pub.

Very friendly staff. Visiting from Surrey. Made to feel very welcome. Great prices, so cheap! 2 pints and a large wine were cheaper than a glass of wine in Surrey!!! Dog friendly too. Loved it.

Staff (a young boy that was working today) very rude, did not want to be there, over heard him saying he had a hangover and felt like death (I’ve seen more life from the dead to be honest) !!! Terrible terrible would not recommend He actually told us rudely to wait our turn, after we had been waiting 15 mins for a drink, (there was only about 6 tables of people actually there !!!!!! Shocking

Always a brilliant atmosphere no matter what day you pop in down due to the warm hospitality of Jason. Lovely, fun and always felt safe! Really cared about the people that went in and turned the pub around. Just a shame he's no longer there.

I will happily say it’s the best place in Portishead for socialising and serving a little bit of everything makes for happy punters especially at such a reasonable price... Very disappointed in the recent loss of the best landlord the pub has seen in probably its lifetime, it’s character and safe atmosphere has gone with him...

Visited a couple of times! Had a really lovely warm welcome from Jason every time. He was very passionate about his job. Took the pub from a drug den and cleared it out to a community pub! A lot of people have always spoke highly of him. It’s sad to hear that he has gone now.

If you are looking for the real local pub experience then the plough is for you! The bar staff are very helpful and welcoming and the manager Jason goes out of his way to make you feel at home. I travel to Portishead on a weekly basis and in my opinion it is by far the the real deal in truly authentic. The pubs clients even follow the managers lead and are welcoming to all, they have even given me a nickname of Mr Fosters, this just shows they know their customers.

We visited there earlier today for drinks. The Plough is situated in the High street, is dog friendly and has a decent rear garden with a small seating area at the front of the premises. The gentleman serving was extremely helpful and assisted my wheelchair bound father in law bringing him out some wet wipes as well as helping me to carry the drinks out to my family also. There is a pool table, some televisions and a few fruit machines....a great little proper pub. Visited 1st September 2019.

I spent the day at the Plough Inn which I can say is very nice indeed. They have a good selections of Lagers and Ciders, only one Beer on my visit. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the land lady was just as nice. The decoration is of a high standard, with a fabulous dining set made from, what looks like reclaimed wood. Really impressive. Over all a very good pub indeed. I didn't eat there but the food looked fantastic.

Why an earth do they employ the aggressive and rude bouncers ? They are the ones causing trouble in this pub, this is a proper local little pub for the Portishead people, the recent refurbishment has improved it greatly but the security staff ruin the atmosphere and are very threatening...

Came here to watch the football. The staff were friendly and the drinks prices were ok. They did have a massive music speaker at the side of the bar playing some shady tunes when we came it. This didn't get turned off until at least 15-20 minutes into the match which was quite annoying. The bar is cash only which in 2019 needs to be sorted.

We stopped off here after walking around the marina to watch the end of the football. Everyone was enjoying themselves which created a good atmosphere, the music was loud (all the better when it's good stuff playing!!) and not too pricey.

Two of us went there for a beer and watch football. It was a mistake, it maybe a working men’s pub, but that doesn’t excuse so much swearing about one every 20 seconds, including the C and F words. Sometimes they were shouted out. Give it a miss unless you like swearing.

Great coffee shop in a great location looking out on the marina, on a nice day it can get very busy! As with all Costa, it's quite expensive but you do get decent food and drink. The lemon drizzle cake is amazing! Nice that you can get a free drink every now and then if you use the Costa app to collect points.

Not overly large place so booking is advisable. Having said that, 4 of us turned up without a reservation having had some difficulty in booking a table ? However, the lovely guy at the desk shuffled things around and got us a table. What a great experience ! Chicken, beef, lamb dishes were amazing! Rice, noodles, potatoes, salad, pasta, fish, calamari, chocolate cake, chocolate fountain, gatuea, whippy ice-cream, array of fresh fruit etc etc ... So many choices! We were VERY impressed and have already booked a return visit ! Staff are helpful and polite and kept very busy ! We thought it was good value for money. £13 for children. £20 for adults ...evening price . I think a little cheaper on a lunch time ? All in all a very good experience.
