Wanted to get a coffee at 1925 before work however they decided to shut the doors before hand even though there were staff and jsut stated at me through the window. Unacceptable

We came across this little tearoom on a visit to Chester. It is in a beautiful ancient building with stone arches inside. The menu is vast! Big only sandwiches, cakes etc. but hot food, stir fried, steak and it also served alcohol. Everyone could find something to eat in this place. We opted for sandwiches and soup, followed by pudding and cake. All the food was tasty and was reasonable priced. The toilet is up on the 3rd floor, so not great for people with mobility problems. It’s a bit of a trek and very spooky! Not sure if this place is haunted, but I definitely sensed something in the top dining room. I would visit again for food, just wouldn’t visit the toilet next time. 😬

I’ve never felt the need to write a review before, but my experience at this Costa was unacceptable. The coffee was average at best, but what really ruined my visit was the incredibly rude and dismissive manager. Instead of handling a simple query with professionalism, they were abrupt, unhelpful, and frankly, condescending. It’s one thing for a team member to have an off day, but when the manager sets the tone with such a bad attitude, it reflects poorly on the whole store. I left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. Definitely not the Costa experience I’m used to — won’t be returning to this location.

Not been to the railway inn for years , tbh we were a bit sceptical, however it was really nice , nice relaxing sunny garden , good beer and wine ,didn’t eat but looks ok ,it’s close to our new home so we will be back , great playground good service

Attempted to have an early drink, followed by lunch. Their website says open from 10am Saturday. Same start time on board outside pub. We arrived at 11.40....closed. No sign of opening. Phoned number on the board outside...unobtainable. Found phone number on their website, no answer. 11.50 gave up and walked down the hill into town and had an excellent lunch.

Shame the service so poor as the food was really good. We waited a long time for the main and even longer for pudding. Had to rush off to pick up school children from a booking at 12.30 and it was not busy!!

Ella no esperará a que encuentres tu tarjeta de puntos, y ni siquiera intentes usar la aplicación para un descuento estudiantil. Dios no te permita presentar un código QR que no funciona: ella te arrancará la cabeza a mordiscos y te seguirá con un repertorio de trucos pasivos y agresivos para humillarte frente a la cola. No te atrevas a decir nada más que el nombre completo del pastel que quieres. Si encuentra otro pastel con un nombre similar, no tiene paciencia para los perdedores que no conocen el menú Café # 1 de memoria. Espera que te ordenen llevar tu bandeja a tu mesa y ten cuidado: te despedirán si no lo haces lo suficientemente rápido. No te darán leche ni azúcar, solo una mirada sucia si vuelves por ellos. En ese caso, tómalos tú mismo, en silencio y rápidamente, y ni siquiera pienses en bloquear su camino mientras lo haces. De lo contrario, es un encantador café, organizado con buen gusto por la administración. Pero si quieres pasar el rato por más tiempo, es mejor que te dirijas al cercano Café # 1 en Westbury, donde el personal es encantador, paciente y donde realmente puede relajarse y disfrutar.

The staff stand around watching u if u a bloke utter waste of time

I’m lucky enough to live a mile away from this wonderful place where I have been eating for many years. The food is genuine, remarkably good value and consistently excellent. But what I like most about Munchies is its exuberance! The staff and owner are always full of the joys of Spring - even when it’s not! No wonder they win awards!

The best meal absolutely amazing. Nice setting.

Another wonderful breakfast at this fabulous cafe. Food quality is unmatched and staff are so friendly. Will be back again soon.

45 miute wait for an omelette & fish and chips, table beside us arrived after us & were served their food before us. We queried this & were told it was a printer problem, then told there was no record of our order. There were pigeon feathers lying around which is unhygienic & we asked for them to be removed. They weren't. Anyway my elderly companion wanted to speak to a manager & a young man in a white shirt appeared. He was defensive & extremely rude and had no idea how to deal with us. Infact he refused to deal with us, flounced & stomped his way off to get the general manager. She appeared with a much better manner but unfortunately too little too late. I told her we were leaving, would not be paying for our drinks & we would not return. Appalling customer service & sadly not the first time. We went to Cafe Source Too instead & thoroughly enjoyed it!
