Food is absolutely appalling! Staff are friendly enough. Won't be eating here ever again! This place has really gone down hill.

Absolutely livid 😡 After driving for three hours I was in desperate need of an EV charger to complete my journey. I used the Zapmap app to locate a fast charger and was directed to the New Pippin. It was dark and I recall having to get my phone torch and glasses out to be able to use the charger due to a lack of lighting in the back corner of the car park. I did not feel safe alone on my vehicle so after 31 minutes I paid for my charging and left the car park. I am horrified that I have now received a parking fine. I did not leave my vehicle unattended and did not see any signage to inform me that I had to pay whilst using the charging facility. I will not be returning!

Just had lunch with my son and decided to try The New Pippin on 31/10/24 I had a rib eye steak which was cooked to perfection My son had a burger which he said was enjoyable The whole meal was cooked and presented to high standard. The service was excellent Leah and the manager were very professional and nothing was to much trouble Will visit more often after todays experience Thank you all

Revisited this gem whilst traveling through Coventry. Upon arriving I joined my friends at the bar whom with the guests had been singing karaoke throughout the night. Whilst ordering food the waiter was incredibly polite and informative about the allergen sheet which was appreciated. The food took around 15-30minutes for 4 meals and some drinks Upon arrival the food came out, steaks still searing on the plate and overall looked(and tasted) rather delightful, big compliments to the chefs though I don't remember the entire night my chicken+beef burger was a great start to the rest of my night. If I was to complain about something, it would perhaps be the mess in the male bathrooms, they were in abit of a mess though it was later into the night.

Krissy was absolutely amazing. Really helpful, got the party started. All seriousness she brought a decent atmosphere and good to talk to.

Was good apart from a very rude bar staff member tonight of 21st August he had black hair and a beard I believe was very nasty and shouldn’t be working in the pub don’t know his name but don’t wanna see him again

After visiting for the football back in July, I came in with some friends for lunch! And wow!!! Service and food again were both top tier!!

Came in to the new pippin today as we were passing and thought we’d pop in for a quick pint before the football but the atmosphere and staff are that good we’ve decided to stay and watch the football here instead. Well done the new pippin

12 of us for a birthday meal. Friendly and welcoming. Very helpful with birthday cake arrival. Small issue with a roof leak but looked after us well. Very friendly and professional service from Shannon and those on shift tonight between 7pm and 10pm. Food was fresh, portion size good and was served promptly. Really appreciated being able to use my bluelight card.

I only went to the car park to charge my electric car as there was a charger in the car park. There were no signs at all around the premise to say there’s parking charges. I’m shocked to know that charging my car cost me an extra £100!

I came with my friends we had a child with us, we had Michael and leah serve us, they looked after us so well, I just wanted to say a massive thankyou to them both

I was served by Leah & Michael They were so accommodating & understanding, my nephew is autistic. They went above and beyond to make sure our service was to our needs. I literally can not thank them enough. Please make sure this gets back to them as they were outstanding! I’m not sure if you guys do some sort of reward scheme, if you do, they deserve it! We also ordered food which was great! We had chicken and chips on a sharer tray which was lovely. Once again thank you!

Went this afternoon to the New Pippin Wyken with my partner and two children initially we sat in the garden for drinks as the afternoon went on at 4.30 we decided to stay for dinner, we've never been keen on the place but with it being now under new manger Yvonne we hoped it had improved, sadly not! My partners cheese burger was really greasy and my lasagne looked like it had shrunk! And was as dry as a bone, waitress Amy was rushed off her feet she almost tripped over a wet floor sign whilst carrying a large tray of food, our empty glasses were on the table for ages as were the finished plates, whilst Yvonne walked on past our table and positioned herself back behind the bar watching the poor waitress rush about smiling and smirking at her!Any needs some customer service training, she was loud as she brought out the food and then brought napkins to us after we'd ate, and lent against my daughters chair as we said too late now we've ate! Sauces weren't put on tables either I had to go get them, needless the say the place hasn't changed and we'll not be returning to eat there again

First time in the New Pippin for a few years, only came because another pub was fully booked but glad it happened because the food was good and service even better.Interacted with lots of different staff members over the night but didn’t get their names, sorry! One I did get the name for was Lauren, who I’ll admit did have good banter (don’t tell her though) . Only criticism of the service is that Lauren didn’t like candles, and now that I’ve bought my own place for the first time I think it’s only right that candles form part of the decor. However, she very kindly lit the candle so me and my mate could have a cute candle lit dessert.We’ll likely be back in the near future, see you soon

The New Pippin is our favourite place to meet up with family for lunch. The food options are great, the staff are friendly and attentive and we found a nice quiet table by the window.

I would like to extend my gratitude to the brilliant staff of New Pippin, Ansty Road Coventry for making us feel comfortable and welcome during my son and my friend’s daughter birthday dinner party. I did my reservation through phone and pre ordered the food by email. Booking was straight forward with Jake and Omid. Shout out to Michael who took care of us during our dinner night. He always made sure that our needs were accommodated. He even made extra effort to provide the avocado for the salad( which was personally requested in the email) . Mike is very polite and has a brilliant communication skills. We were also allowed to put our little decor for the party. Playground is also available for the little ones. The place is big and they have function area for a larger group. Thank you to Amy as well who assisted us with our meals and made sure we’ve got everything we need. By the way, they give 20% discount if you are a BlueLightCard holder( check for maximum discount). Food is great, you have the options for bigger meal or smaller one. I love the sweet chili chicken wings. Thank you very much for making my son and my friend’s daughter birthday a memorable and happy one. We will definitely come back and I recommend this place for you to dine in and celebrate with your family and friends.

Visited again today for a large family meal! Hats off to all the staff as we had 5 challenges!! Food was perfect despite how much we ordered and all hot! Staff were amazingly friendly! Well done to the whole team today we had a great time!

Popped in for a midweek bite to explore the new menu. The pub itself is clean and welcoming. The staff couldn't do enough, our server Hayley was very friendly and attentive. We ended up booking for Christmas day dinner.

It's the staff that make this place what it is. I was In last night for some cricket and food on my own. The staff was not bothered that I was unaccompanied, they didn't presume someone was joining me and they were extremely polite and friendly. Hayley is lovely she let me know it was steak night and offered to change the channel if I wanted to watch something else. I wasn't put in a corner on a small table because I was alone I was offered a bigger table with a great view of the television and was more comfortable. Thankyou

Yvonne and the team have really turned this place around. Jake and Michael are awesome nothing is too much trouble. The newcomer Liam is a great asset lovely lad and always happy to help his customer service is excellent for a young lad. Very happy Wyken is happy again

-10! The assistant manager is a rude person with 0 people skills. Honestly I could write a whole report on the deputy himself- cocky and completely arrogant. A friend of mine had asked for a change of drink due to the pineapple juice going off or at least tasting sour and a good member of management would change this with no delay - especially as a paying customer (regardless of being staff at another pub). We had all tasted the drink and concluded it tasted not right, yet we watched as she was faced with nothing but a rude attitude and “it will taste the same if I change it for the same drink”. I don’t recall her asking for a replacement of the same drink as we all watched from the table, more to raise awareness of something and for a CHEAPER! alternative - although should she really ask for something cheaper?. Our server Liv was fabulous though and we would like management to recognise her efforts and customer service skills, unlike Jake the assistant. Apparently asking for a receipt was too much for Jake as he asked for all of her details to complain about her, over asking for a receipt and change of the drink via the till so the receipt would be right? I’d love to hear the response because the “customer service” is disgusting - especially for someone in a management position. Isn’t Greene King all about keeping customers happy? Clearly not. Also a shout out to Omid who was patient with my friend as he helped sort the matter. Seriously a joke when the regular staff are more accommodating compared to management - but much appreciated THANK YOU LIV AND OMID.

Food was OK. It was hot but overcooked. Main issue was the service. Everything seemed too much trouble. Food just put on table and walked off. No further contact after that.

Been in today received amazing service from Hayley and jake went above and beyond even with a busy event in the back room the kitchen served food promptly and nothing was to much trouble from all staff will be visiting again soon

Yes there are ramps front and into garden but thresholds need attention as not smooth and wheels need lifting over.Staff were very nice and helpful.As I have a support dog we had to eat in the bar area, fair enough. However there was not a single table and chairs that were not high off the ground. One table with bench seats we sat at but again sitting on the bench our legs were swinging so hard to get on and off.Food was acceptable but no mention on the menu that steak was on onions which two of us could not eat. My steak was not medium but well done. Apart from that things were fine. Seems like people with disabilities are not given adequate consideration.

Nice pub with a lovely garden, perfect local to go to , great value for price, really helpful staff.

Brought the kids today to play in the garden, my little girl loved the mural. The best beer garden in the area by far. Food was quick and tasty and staff were helpful

Watched every game in here and it was ace me and the lads love it and it’s our regular now. Brought my nan in on Wednesday to treat her to some lunch. Food was great and she’s a hard woman to please lol Hayley was brilliant with her and took time to chat with her.

I've been coming in for a few months to watch the sports and it never dissapoints there is live sports on all the time and the staff are happy to change the channel if something else is also on the same time. Great ale aswell

Eating out with children is not an easy task, they don't like to wait and get bored easily. This place is great there's free WiFi, a play area, the little ones are given crayons and paper. The wait is minimal every single time. Food is always good never had any complaints and the customer service Is fantastic

Was weary about taking the children to watch the football, spoke to their social media people service was wonderful we all had a great evening. A real family pub

The food at the New Pipin was excellent and the table service by Lucy was superb she was friendly, with a lovely smile and always polite and chatty just what you need in that type of establishment well done you.

Booked a table for 12 people for food, drinks and the England v Ukraine game, couldn't do enough for us.. great food, friendly staff.. we were served by Lucy and Lauren very helpful, would recommend!

Meet up here today for lunch with my brother. We both had the gammon and it was very nice and very well presented. Served by a very attentive and professional waitress by the name of Lucy who made our visit very enjoyable. I will certainly visit again next time I’m in Coventry.

Yvonne and Jake served us all day while being here and I couldn’t thank them enough. The food came out with perfection and hotness. The drinks were swiftly processed and bought to our table within a matter of minutes. The service in the pub has been the best I have seen in this area. I will be certainly be visiting again tomorrow!

Popped into the New Pippin for food and drinks with my family. Table of 11 split into 2 tables ordered all together and food came out hot and not long waiting time ether Always a good pleasure to come to the pippin

The lovely Jake took my order, he was very polite and efficient. I didn’t have to wait long for my food and Michael (Chef) made a really nice chicken tikka curry meal. Came in as a large group, we were seated across three tables because of covid rules, everything was explained to us. We can’t fault anything. Food was quick service was outstanding it’s a great pub would recommend to everyone

Booked family meal. Arrived shown to table. Pub very grubby. We really did wait 45mins to even gat a drink. Pub not really busy but not enough staff. Two only serving food and beer. One hour to when food got ordered. When it came four out of six meals were short changed. Nuggets 4 missing. Chicken wings one short. Chicken strips2 short. Mixed grill no onion rings. Waiter apologised when we eventually got him but never got missing food. If they do this to everyone it's good for them. At a time like this you think they would be on their game and appreciate the business. No seemed all staff totally fed up. Save yourself time and money go somewhere else.

Visit here often but today was the best experience since lockdown restrictions have been lifted. Great beer, good company and attentive staff. The lovely Kymmy even found us beer mats.

The kitchen stays open pretty Late, great friendly pub, brilliant staff and the steak was delicious. We had a great date night

Came in on Sunday, chose to sit outside because of the heat. We knew it was app ordering outside and we tried but couldn’t figure it out. Asked a member of staff passing if they could help us and didn’t hold out much hope because the place was full. Staff happily showed us what we were doing wrong and helped us with our order. The Sunday dinner was incredible it’s our new favourite place. The fairy wall is amazing and a real talking point

I booked 2 tables for 7pm Saturday night, we arrived in good time and were seated quickly, given the menu and never saw anyone for 20 minutes, we ordered food and drinks, I had to go and find a member of staff as after 40 minutes we still had not had a drink, starters came 50 minutes from ordering, 25 minutes later a waiter came and asked if we wanted our main course soon, so he went and told the chef to get started! 1 hour 35 minutes from ordering our main course was served in stages, bits come up intermittently some bit for one dish and bit for another not all served together, I had mixed grill, the steak was meant to medium rare but was over cooked and dry the chicken was like rubber and the gammon was so salty you needed a pint of water, not that you could get one as NO waiting staff or manager once came and asked if we were OK or needed anything, Service and quality of food was poor at best

We arrived at 7:45. The service was okay at the start. Then we got sat down and left. We didn’t get told anything of hoe to order. We waited an hour and then we called someone over. We asked to order a pitcher of 3 different drinks before they actually had any. 20 minutes after we asked we get told it’s a 20 minute wait from here...? We’ve tried to flag staff members down and we got ignored. If it wasn’t for chelsea playing in a minute we’d leave.

Came in on Saturday with the family, we were told the rules and explained that there was a small wait on food because they were so busy. We hadn't booked but they fitted us in and treated us great. Food was really good I had the hunters chicken and can recommend it. Customer service is what sets this pub apart from others in the area, even when busy we were checked on regularly, orders taken quickly and nothing was to much trouble for the staff. We had crayons and paper to keep the kids busy while we waited. Service was 100%

Really enjoyed our meal on Tuesday with the family. Very efficient and really warm welcome and service. Because of this we chose to come back on Friday where we hadn’t provisionally booked a table but accommodated us straight away. Big thank you to Hayley and Chantelle you were fab. So I decided that when the pubs opened back up to go for a family meal with my little boy and partner and this is where we choose to go for food. The food was amazing Micky who was the one cooking done us all beautiful and tasty meals. When we enter the pub we was seated by Jake and he was polite to us and told us everything we needed to know about the app and how to order. We then received our drinks which was brought over by Yvonne and she was very helpful and asked if we needed anything else the whole time we was there it was safe and had all the right steps for social distancing will definitely be going back thank you to all the staff for having us and thank you to Jake and Yvonne for making us feel so welcomed would also like to say thank you to Micky who cooked our food

I decided to visit the New Pippin today when all the pubs reopened for indoor eating. I am so glad I chose this pub, the staff where super friendly and the food was just wow!! I’d like to praise them for all there Covid safe measures that are in place too. I will definitely be returning!! Highly recommend this place! Being on the summer, there garden is huge!!

What a great pub, we have been driving past every day as we finish work and it’s nice to see the time taking pride in our local community pub, by painting the external to make it very inviting to us all. Thank you for your hard work and can’t wait to see you on Monday, as our table is booked!

The first time we visited for breakfast, what can I say other then amazing, great quality breakfast for an amazing price, definitely won’t be visiting a cafe again, this is the best place for a breakfast, thank you again to the amazing team for making our visit amazing. See you soon

Absolutely fantastic service at the pippen since it's re opened after lockdown. Unlike many pubs the table service is very fast and the staff are incredibly attentive. Hayley in particular was really helpful and welcoming. Food was really good and great value too.

i have visited this pub many times since its reopening and found the staff are efficient and enforce the current lockndown restrictions. The spacing of customers and service has been really good which has given me confidence to return again

I visited here in the evening in October 18th. Food and drink was fantastic and served in a timely fashion. Felt very safe and secure, the PubSafe measures were explained to me and could see the staff following the diligently. I would have given 5 star had it not been for the rude man and his child being loud and rude to staff

First visit since the reopening in September after covid shutdown. The decor is fantastic, the staff are great and service is fast. The new menu is brilliant and there is loads of choice even the pickiest eaters will find something, and even better all the dishes we had were lovely and tasty. Definitely do go and try The NEW Pippin.

Went last night and sat in the back room, Hayley served us all night found her to be professional and a happy person and a child friendly person . Pub is clean and COVID restrictions are monitored throughout. We will definitely be back for another date night

It is the second time we have visited since the new pippin has reopened. The service has been amazing Hayley is friendly and helpful. Food was lovely too. Nice atmosphere and covid secure procedures are well in place making the pub a safe environment to visit. Will be coming back and recommending to family and friends.

I came in last night with friends for some birthday celebrations and Was looked after by a lovely chap named keaton! Made us feel very welcome and will indeed be coming back

I visited the restaurant with my partner yesterday (11.10.20) and felt I had to comment on the service we were provided. Our waitress was Hayley and she couldn't do enough for us. With my partner being a fussy eater it can be a bit of a nightmare but Hayley took the time to answer a couple questions about my partner's choices and orders were taken, no problem. Food was great, service was brilliant. Would recommend to anyone thinking of going.

i felt fantastic. the ataff treated me superb. devon is particular is a top man. the food was excellent, the cheifs did an superb job. perfect rating. would recommend for families and couples alike.

Came in tonight for dinner was made aware before hand that the pub was extremely busy because of the football, really appreciated this info and requested to be sat in the dining room as it was quieter. Greeted warmly on arrival and the one way system was explained clearly as was where the hand sanitizer is and the current rules regarding COVID. Despite it being extremely busy Hayley met our every need. our order was taken swiftly drinks arrived not long after. Food was incredible thanks to the chef (I believe his name to be mic) the dinning room had a lovely vibe and we were regularly checked on. Really appreciate the five star service thanks Hayley and the other members of staff for making our visit enjoyable, see you next time

Visited today for a birthday meal. It was an absolutely wonderful experience from the beginning. All the staff were friendly especially hayley who was serving us tonight she certainly made sure she went the extra mile to attend to our needs. The food tasted great and was well recieved extremely hot. Jake one of the managers was also amazingly helpful during our time there and between them both they made our visit so warm and welcoming! Felt very covid safe while inside to with staff adhering to guidelines and ensuring customers were doing so too! Thank you to the whole team! We will be back soon!

Visited here to relax and grab myself something to eat. I ordered cheesy chips (which were amazing by the way) and onion rings. My food was brought out by Devon who had great humour, made me laugh and made me feel welcomed.Leighton made sure that everything was okay with my food and made sure that everything was okay with my food and he was also a great person to speak with. Hayley is a lovely girl too, we had a nice conversation and she is overall a great person! Hayley and Michael were going around cleaning and making sure that everything was clean and sanitised ready for the next use. I was happy with the service in the pub overall and I will be visiting here again sometime soon. Thank you to everyone for working hard and having patience with everyone!

Came in for lunch with the other half. Was looked after from start to finish by Hayley. Checked to make sure we were happy with everything and was an absolute pleasure to be served by her. A real star and the pub is lucky to have her.

Came to visit family. Recommended by Dan at another GK pub. I have a starter main and desert. We used greens king app. Was looked after by hayley and gwr customer service was top notch and will be coming back again.

absolutely awesome. During this very awful time Yvonne and her team are working tirelessly to follow covid 19 rules to the latter. My food was delicious hats off to kyle and maz in the kitchen best onion bhagis ive tasted. Jake was a great door host while Liv, Michael and Devon made the visit worth while. After a hard day as a carer myself dealing with covid they made me smile and laugh. Best change ever WELL DONE PIPPIN SEE YOU FOR SUNDAY DINNER!

I came to Coventry for the first time for a day out; I was really nervous. However, I visited The New Pippin and I ordered a chicken burger and a freakshake. The food was amazing, especially the cookie dough freakshake. I received outstanding customer service by Yvonne, Jake and Devon. They all made me feel welcomed and comfortable in this new area. I am also grateful that they are working their hardest during this difficult time of year. I am very impressed with the service; I am sure all of the other customers feel the same. I recommend anyone to visit this Pub because the service is impressive. I will be visiting here again. All thanks to Yvonne, Devon and Jake!

I came here with my partner on Saturday just gone and was very pleased with my food, service and waitress hayley. My partner is a manager in the hospitality sector and notices things i probably wouldnt but he was very impressed with the service we were provided. We were left to make our drinks choices at our own pace, same with our food. We never felt rushed or deserted wondering where our server was which was great considering how busy they were. Hayley and the team were great,I would highly recommend and will be going back again.
