Costa Coffee in Coventry

I love the rocky road slices I treat myself to them occasionally. first time from this costa will be the last the slices are definitely cut shorter which means less product and tasted stale

If I buy a coffee, can I ask for a straw? Am I discriminated against because I am Asian? I come from a place where people drink iced coffee with straws, can I ask for a straw? I’ve heard the last straw was given away and I am worried there will be no more.

Heard that one of the staff is racist and aggressive

One of the staff is racist. very condescending and patronising. When I ask for a straw for my iced latte , she said “ I cannot give you one”. I was shocked. I said “ even if the customer really want one ? “ she said “ I cannot give you a straw even if you want one. They count the straw. “ I am speechless. She speaks so rudely. I said but I do like to have one straw for an iced latte. Eventually, the manager came and said I can have one. And when the staff gave me one, she then said “ this is the last one. If you come again, I am not going to give you one “. I don’t have a problem with straw. But this staff speaks to me like I am the worst child in kindergarten. Such a patronizing attitude is not necessary. If she behaves not as condescending, I won’t insist on having a straw, because I would know she is not racist.

Decided to have a coffee, and there was a Costa coffee within the Cannon park shopping centre. Upon entering there was plenty of seating, ordered the coffees from the friendly staff who were very helpful too. The coffee was really hot and good. Again the big question would I go back, I would.

Ordered online and had NO TOASTIES after paying for them. No replacements, no refund and no communication. Do NOT order online.

This Costa met my expectations of a chain coffee chop well. The staff were friendly and very brief. The service efforts were centred around speed. I ordered a cappuccino, it was made impressivly quickly and was an ok coffee. Far better than typical small cafe but nowhere near as good as specialty coffee. For £3.65, it would be nice to have more care taken to make a delicious drink. 5/10

Absolutely love this Costa the staff are always friendly and have a smile for you. The coffee is great wether you drink in or out.

Great to stop and have a coffee before/after shopping. There are also customer toilets for once you've drunk a large coffee. The cups are big and designed to be held by both hands. But really heavy.

First time ordering from here. Ordered 2 Paninis and 2 Almond Crossants but only received 1 of each. Will be requesting a refund for missing items. Everything else in the order was good.

Impeccable service and lovely staff. I come here as a regular and the atmosphere has always been relaxing with plenty to eat and drink. The seating area has also been relatively clean upon every visit. Highly recommend coming at any time of day as you will be greeted with a ‘hello’ and a warm smile :)

Miserable staff, rude, no idea of customer service. I felt a huge inconvenience. My drink was made wrong and when I commented I just got a shrug and not offered to have it replaced or refunded. I was so embarrassed in front of a line of people I just left.

The cafe is well run and very clean. The barista who served me (Jenny) was very friendly and personable. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

As expected with friendly staff.

I visited this branch today and ordered a coffee and decided to have a snack. I chose an item from the counter where the price was clearly marked. When it went through the till I was asked for more money than the display price. My understanding is that, by law, it had to be sold at the marked price. I was told abruptly that the till didn’t allow that. They then removed the label and asked again for the till price. When I suggested the discrepancy should be reported, I was encouraged to do so! I had already paid for my coffee so I got a refund and left. A seriously dissatisfied customer and a wasted coffee for the sake of a 10p price discrepancy. Is going to be a long time before I venture back in there on my regular trip to Tesco next door - Greggs it is then!!

Lovely hot chocolate and mince pies at Christmas really good variety of beverages and food hot and cold

Nice friendly atmosphere with a bright and open seating area. Plenty of tables available for eating in. Always clean and tidy and the staff are always very pleasant. The long opening hours are also an added bonus and means you're unlikely to get there and be disappointed that they are closed or have yet to open.

Went for a catch up with a friend who happened to turn 30 on the same day (free cake). Staff did not seem motivated, friend did not even get a happy birthday message from the lady serving him. I ordered a hot chocolate which she asked if I wanted whipped cream, which I replied yes please. Drink turned up without whipped cream

Tidy coffee shop in arcade next to major supermarket that has no customer cafe. Clean toilets and milkshake making competitor in the public arcade

Not good at all. Saw girl making coffee leveling off coffee with her hand. Not sure any EHO would accept that behaviour. Then asked to leave because my wife brought a trolley into shop when no seating outside is rough especially when staff brought one in for his rubbish. Not going to this store again EVERP

Great coffee as always, particularly helpful and friendly staff and free parking (limited time).

Great delivery, and the food was excellent

Needed a place to site down and discuss business. Although it doesn't open until 8am, it was the perfect place.

Usually have the sausage bap which is lovely but tried the 3 cheese toastie, it was rock hard and burnt and smelt of onions, ended up in the bin. It wouldn't have been served in store.

Took mum, who was in a wheelchair, staff could not have been more accommodating.

Absolute joke- sent me wrong order literally unable to drink as I don’t like coffee then phone to ask for replacement to be told not able to unless I order again and the “apology” was definitely not sincere. Won’t be ordering again

After our big shop at various food stores at Cannon Park Coventry, theres nothing better than unloading the groceries into the car boot, then walking towards Costa's and being surrounded with the coffee aromas as they come wafting through the front doors. We are always met with a warm welcome and smiles from the staff and as we are getting on and disabled, we are asked to go to a table and our drinks will be brought over to us. You may wonder how they know what our coffee choice is!! We've been customers for I don't know how long now, just a very long time. I cannot praise the staff enough, they certainly give 100% and the coffee they serve is just as good too!! Well done Costa........you take the drudge out of food shopping and are now the highlight of our shopping experience. Thank you

You know what to expect in the good and bad. Not the best italian fake coffee.

Staff short always on a Saturday with dirty tables that you have to clear yourself to get a place to sit at. Staff plainly doing the best they can under difficult conditions totally blame of management.

All good except for short staff at busy times, I.e. lunchtime. Quite after 3pm. Could he 5 stars.

Costa is now run by Coca Cola and it shows. The quality of product has fallen over the last 6 months. The Mocha here was the worst of a bad series of 10 over the last week all over the UK. The mocha was bitter, and the sweet hot chocolate was missing! Awful.

Popped in after work as there was a massive traffic jam and no cars were moving. So I went and got myself a latte and chocholate twist. It's small and pleasant. Staff are friendly. Cafe itself isn't the cleanest, but not filthy either. Prices as expected. I've finished working in the area now, but if you enjoy Costa coffee, then you won't be disappointed.

Terrible costa - drinks never made properly always long queues.

The two young girls were pleasant, however, the girl who I think was supervisor/manager had abrupt attitude not only with staff but to us customers!!!!?!

Costa coffee is always good and this one was no exception. Just an all round great customer service with brilliant friendly staff. They were quick and efficient. Great work guys and gals.

Very friendly and accommodating staff but not one of the best costsas but lovely coffee's.

I am a regular Costa customer and other than this branch it is my preferred coffee shop of choice. Every visit here the coffee seems weak and watery. On my last visit I returned my coffee, it was snatched off me with no apology, no offer of a replacement and no offer of a refund! I sat back down thinking the lady would bring one over but she never did. So we are voting with our feet and won’t be returning. You need new barristas I feel, with manners as well as coffee making skills.

A very busy Costa but they keep people flowing through and there is just enough seating Staff remain relatively personable considering the amount of people constantly filing through

Very odd location next to Tesco mobile (with no wall to separate them!). Strange smell on entrance but besides these two flaws this is the same service and quality you'd expect from any Costa Coffee branch!

I used to frequent this Costa 3 or 4 times a week until it was refurbished. I have to say I am not impressed it looks like it has been done on a limited budget. It was much better before the refurb. There is definitely a drop in the number of customers as it does not have the atmosphere of other Costas in the area. Also the cleanliness of the Barista coffee machine was not at all good. I shall in future use the Costa at Baginton retail part and the new Costa drive through In Binley. PS 6 of my friends feel the same way and will nolonger use this particular Costa.

Poor service by barista on coffee machine. Not polite and only was interested in reducing the size of the queue. Didn't ask if I had a Costa loyalty card or offer a receipt. On the plus side, my cheese toastie was good.

Its a costa. service is fine. panini slightly undercooked but quite clean and friendly vibes. also queues can move very slowly sonetimes which is annoying when in a rush.

Such a friendly place. Food is excellent & the Staff are very helpful. Place is always full so that speaks for itself.

Decent Costa. I wouldn't call it particularly cosy, but is bright and good to grab a coffee to go.

Had a takeout mocha with coconut milk. It was super tasty. Service was very quick despite the shop being packed. No complaints at all. If you are in the area I would recommend this Costa.

The Cannon Park shop has rearranged the seating can't say it's an improvement. I wish they would look at the doors, lots of people struggle with them.

Nice coffee but their carpark is not their own now.. Not realising this, i was photographed on entrance and exit. I overstayed my 2 hour limit and got a hefty ticket

Second visit in two days doesn't get any better. Slow even without a queue. Probably the slowest coffee shop I have ever been in. Staff more concerned with chatting than working.

Staff are very rude.. One the staff members could not even stop laughing while serving me and my partner. I then went up To the till and both workers were indulged in a conversation with one of their Freinds over the till they totally ignored me. Pathetic. Waited 2 minutes to be totally ignored... All I wanted was a tissue.. Because they had not stocked any outside.
