Visited recently and wanted a cup of tea. Was given a warm welcome by the lady serving and she even carried my tray to my table. Very pleasant surroundings and excellent cakes

My wife purchased a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea, so we did panic slightly when the company hit financial problems. But all was resolved and we booked for a Friday afternoon. It is fair to say that, given the price, our expectations were exceeded in every way.We arrived at the appointed time and they were expecting us. Our pots of tea were soon on the table, followed soon afterwards by the tempting array of goodies on the three tier cake stand. They had even accommodated our request for butter-free sandwiches. There were five finger sandwiches each, a good selection, all fresh and tasty. There was also an individual warm quiche each. Tea was hot and strong.The middle tier was for the scones, two fruit and two plain. We had individual pots of jam in a choice of flavours, plus a pot of gorgeous clotted cream each. The scones were warm and fresh, very indulgent. The top tier comprised six little fancy cakes, again all excellent. The whole thing was beautifully presented and, needless to say, there was nothing left.I asked for hot water to top up the tea, but instead we were supplied with two more fresh pots of tea. A nice touch, and the staff were all really helpful, friendly and pleasant. The surroundings are certainly better than one of the usual coffee shop chains too. It was all a really pleasant experience that we shall certainly be repeating as soon as possible.

Met a friend for a catch up and afternoon tea. Served by a lovely lady, nothing was too much trouble for her. We went upstairs to chat in more privacy. Upstairs is very spacious but certainly needs updating and brightening up. The hot drinks arrived straight away, I’d had a double strength latte which was served nice and hot, usually latte’s aren’t this hot - thank you I appreciated this. The sandwiches were lovely and fresh and the mini quiche served warm. The scones were served with butter - where was the clotted cream? The petit cakes were lovely but feel that this afternoon tea needs to be varied because it’s become very samey whilst still being excellent value for money. My friend used the ladies and said they didn’t look the cleanest also you need a code to use the facilities perhaps when customers are using the upstairs to eat and drink staff provide the code as a matter of course?

Really enjoyed afternoon tea at drucker, reminded me of the trips to town as a child with my mum if we were all good.

I like afternoon tea. It’s a civilised way to end a day out and I’ve gone to numerous hotels to enjoy one. I had a Groupon gift voucher for one at Druckers and was a bit sniffy about going for one in a shop... how wrong I was. The whole experience was lovely. The shop in Coventr6 is small but it was pleasant and the staff were all lovely - attentive but not intrusive. Sandwiches were freshly made, scones and mini quiche were warm and the cakes were a lovely selection. A second pot of tea was brought when we asked for some more hot water. The bonus of 4 cakes to take away as part of the offer kept everyone happy,

Called in for coffee and cake, and to buy a cream tea gift voucher. Very satisfied with everything, but, the loo upstairs is DIRE and have been for some time. A bit of tlc needed, otherwise a nice experience, well served.

My friend and I went for afternoon tea and really enjoyed it. I had a groupon voucher as a Mother’s Day gift and needed to use it by the end of May. As we went on the 31st May it was very busy as everyone else had the same idea about using their vouchers. Having said this we didn’t have to wait more than 10 minutes to get our tea. Only down side NO cake stand! They said they had run out but we saw several empty ones on other tables. The food was delicious. Lovely finger sandwiches, mini quiches and plain and fruit scones with jam and cream. Plus a delightful selection of little cakes. We liked it that the quiches and scones were warm and they refilled the tea pot too. My friend who was with me said it was a better tea than she had at The Ritz in London! We also got 4 delicious and very large cakes to take away as part of the voucher deal and they were amazing. All in all a very nice afternoon out at Druckers thank you.

Afternoon tea for two, NOT great but for £12 groupon voucher i didn't think it would be. Would of hated to pay full price. Wouldn't go again, maybe just picked wrong day to go.

My first ever afternoon tea and also my first ever Groupon. Staff were wonderful. We went in and asked about using the voucher. They ask you to book so they have time to prepare your food for you. We booked 45min later and and a walk around. Upon our return they asked us where we wanted to sit.We had a wonderful tea. Fresh sandwiches, plenty of choice, two scones each sfn three cakes each. God alone knows why people complain about it. There's more than enough food.The staff were ever so friendly and gave us a top up on our pots of tea.I'd certainly go back with friends or family. The ladies who served us were very welcoming

Nipped into Druckers for lunch and was not disappointed!I don’t like eating alone but the way the cafe is set out doesn’t make you feel conspicuous!I had a cheese and ham toastie with salad which was lovely and the patisserie Valerie strawberry gateaux which was sublime!The place was clean and the staff constantly on the go clearing tables etc!The staff were polite and efficient and I would definitely return again! Not cheap but I felt it was worth the money!

Visited this afternoon on a groupon deal for a high tea. Called in at 1300hrs to see how busy they were and booked a table for 1400hrs which suited us fine. On our return found a nice table in the corner and the very attentive staff came immediately and took our order. In less than 10 minutes the high tea was served. A very good selection of finger sandwiches with 5 different fillings on both white and brown bread served. 2 warm mini quiches ,4 scones both plain and fruit served with butter, 2 jams and clotted cream. 6 mini cakes and 2 pots of tea and milk sufficient for 2 cups each. Sandwiches beautifully fresh and scones lovely and warm. Very difficult to find fault at all with this impressive presentation. A member of staff Lee was very warm and friendly and took time to talk and discuss all aspects of our visit. We have been to many places over the years for high tea and this establishment ranks up there with the very best of them. This is very highly recommended and many thanks to our daughter for buying us this groupon voucher for a Christmas present. We are now planning our next visit.

My sister and I went to Druckers today for afternoon tea, I had booked in advance, We were served quite quickly, the food was great, a good selection of sandwiches, quiche, scones and cake. They did not have any little cakes so we were given the choice of a cake out of the cabinet. We couldn't manage to eat everything, we took the scones home.

With a groupon voucher I arrived on Saturday 12.30, I had no booking for afternoon tea for 2. I gave my order for drinks to accompany & was asked to take a seat. Five minutes after the coffee arrived piping hot & the cake stand arrived 4 minutes later. Mixture of white & brown bread finger sandwiches with 5 different fillings for each person including smoked salmon. A warm mini quiche each. A warm plain scone & a currant scone each with butter, pot of jam, clotted cream for each person. A Mini eclair each, 1 mini carrot cake, 1 mini Victoria sandwich, 1 mini slice black currant gateaux & 1 mini slice chocolate gateaux. It was delicious, could not give one criticism. Had to take 2 scones home as we just couldn't eat it all. Will definitely return and happy to pay full price it was so nice, just hard decision who gets which gateaux.

Had A Groupon Voucher Which Was Going To Run Out On Sunday September 17th So My Friend and I Decider To Go For The Afternoon Tea 'Take Out' There Were 2 Ladies In Front Of Us---Both Using Groupon Vouchers----Ours Said Afternoon Tea For 2-----As It Was Only 12-20pm We Were A Little Worried We Were Too Early---WRONG -----We Were Told (Very Rudely) There Was Nothing Left and We Should Of Booked ! I Asked The Lady In Front If She Had Booked--No She Hadn't---Our Paperwork Said 'No Booking Required' ! The Attitude Of The Two Members Of Staff Was Basically---Tough Your Too Late ! If You Have Groupon Voucher I Suggest You Turn Up As Soon As They Open---Oh By The Way---The Paninis Were Frozen !

If I had been to the toilet before eating I would not have stayed there. The afternoon tea was nice.

Wonderful helpful staff who can't do enough for you. We arrived late afternoon on a Sunday and they had 'sold out' of the normal read. Undeterred, the staff made their own special version. It was even better than the last! Highly recommend.

This is a good place for a drink and small meal for Coventry. A bit loud but nice service staff. Reasonably priced.

great service and great food, loved it. my daughter and i went in for a coffee and cake.Everything delivered with a smile, and food was lovely as always.

Ordered a birthday cake and it was really good. There is alot of choice with the cakes. Sometimes pop in for cake to take home or to sit and have a tea. The food is always nice, cakes are really yummy. The place is usually quiet which I like.

Great food for a lunch time treat a baguette and cake served with a pot of tea wonderful the only down side is finding a table

went in the morning, so, very quiet, ordered the quiche which came with a little salad, a large coffee and a black forest cake, my daughter order the carrot cake, hot chocolate and breakfast batch.lovely staff and left feeling full. definitely will be going back.

Cake tasted amazing but a bit slushy. Order a cake from her for my 50th, tastes excellent but as frozen the middle was a bit too slushy.

bought a beautiful birthday cake for my daughters 16th, it was the angelica cake and was lovely, i will order one again from there, this was my second birthday cake from Druckers, and i wasn't disappointed.

We always enjoy this cafe/cake shop for an afternoon piece of cake and coffee but today the offer was afternoon tea for two for £19...my god it is a fantastic festival of sandwiches and extremely good cakes...definitely need to go if you are in town

went in here at 1pm on a Saturday, and enquired about using a groupon voucher for two paninis, the staff member looked at the voucher and said 'can't use that we've run out' she gave me the impression that she didn't want to be bothered as we had a voucher, I felt it was poor to have run out of these at 1pm on a Saturday, which should have been a busy day for them. Will use the voucher another day, but don't think I'd go again otherwise.

This place is a lot smaller than it used to be, & is very tired looking & cramped now with small tables placed quite close together. I had purchased a Groupon deal for drinks & muffins for 2 people & there was only one muffin left which was a pity. I chose an alternative but I would have thought that they would have had enough muffins in given the promotion on Groupon. Tea, food & service ok but there are nicer places to go to.

Take a look at their cakes they are all beautiful either fresh fruit, cream, dark or white chocolate. They make lovely cakes for birthdays and celebrations, most importantly they taste great to.thank you Druckers

I have ordered a birthday cakes and various other celebratory cakes here a few times. They never fail to please. The staff are very helpful with their suggestions.Like all good bakery's they do not do cakes on the spot, as most of their stuff is made to order, Allow a couple of days at least while ordering anything.

Visited here last month with a group of friends. We all had cake and tea (or coffee). The selection of cakes is very good and I had a Tiramisu type cake. It was a generous portion and I struggled to finish it. The clientèle here is different from the Starbucks / Costa usual suspects. The prices and quality are better too.

Hidden treasure in Coventry, very pleasant setting and bustling with quiet energy. I see more british locals here than any other customer, hence the "hidden" reference!Might stop by next time to try their cakes.
