Nice place for a good pint. Plenty of selection. I haven't tried the food myself, but it looks pretty good for a chain.

They poured my beer so gently, all the gas remained in the pint. I was burping like crazy.

We called here for lunch a few months ago. The food was fine and we enjoyed the experience. However, and please heed this warning, having had to pay a significant parking fine for the privelege, we would not advise anyone to eat or drink here. We contacted Ember Inns who advised us to speak directly to Euro-car parks, the company employed to ‘manage’ the car park. There is apparently a notice telling you to log your details as Euro Car Parks are employed to help prevent people who aren’t patrons of the pub from parking there. No one mentioned this at the time. We sent them the receipt for our lunch order showing the time and date confirming we were patrons to no avail. The Open Arms should be called the Open Wallet as the relationship with Euro Car Park lead to us being rinsed for a pub lunch. Ember inns employ them and are responsible for their customers, it’s their car park and premises, I will not be eating or drinking in one of their pubs again, which is a shame as we live about 400 yards from one.

Fast & excellent service on busiest day of summer! Decided to walk to the Open Arms to eat. Getting close, I could hear music and remembered that the Godiva Festival was on in a park nearby. The pub was buzzing! However, extra staff were still serving all the real ales & I was in time to order food. My fish and chips arrived very promptly and up to the usual Ember Inns quality.

Very nice and clean pub. Food was very good, lots of options and fairly priced. I would have preferred more alcohol free options for drinks. The staff was polite and attentive. Only thing missing was a bit of music but other than that the atmosphere was very nice with nice people. One of the best pubs I've been in Coventry.

On behalf of the TLC ( Thursday Ladies Club) can we thank the Open Arms staff for a lovely festive meal last night. The meals were delicious and the service was great.

Just called in for information, so I can't comment on anything.

I have been here twice, the second time I had food. A good sized carpark and the uniform coziness that is one of the trademarks of Ember Inns. I have eaten at 3 separate Ember Inns within 6 months and never had a bad meal yet. They are definitely worth a visit and then of course decide for yourself. HIGHLIGHT: having guest ales available.

Great sized breakfast and hot. Lovely coffee and friendly quick service. Have been for lunch as well and same service!! Highly recommended

Lovely food with a fantastic menu. Nice polite staff. Warm and welcoming place. Not much of an atmosphere. Would be better if they played a bit of music etc especially in the garden. It's been redecorated recently and it looks alot fresher. Toilets are lovely. Garden it's alot better with added lights, but heat lamps above some of the benches. More of a bite to eat type place other than a good drink type place in my opinion. I would recommend a visit if your passing.

Went with a friend for lunch, first time here but won't be returning unfortunately, starter was very greasy and main was luke warm, perhaps they were just having an off day but not prepared to try again

Haven't been for a while but it was fab x I had the ultimate burger and hubby had the mixed grill. Don't know how they make the onion that goes in the burger but it was lovely 😍. Not overly expensive for food and drinks. Despite what some people say there are plenty of signs regarding the carpark and the machine for entering your reg is right in front of you as you enter the pub x we will be back soon 😉 👏

Very good local pub. Can get busy sometimes, so you may have to wait for service, but generally better than average. Lots of different seating areas, including quite a large open area at the back with covered tables. Remember to enter your car registration number when you go in, or you will get fined! Large TV for sports/news at one end of the lounge, with a cosy seating area behind. Open fires in the winter. Staff usually helpful and friendly. Disabled access and disabled parking at the front. Food is generally good value for money and we've never had to wait long - they have quite an efficient system. The Open Arms is probably one of the best in Coventry.

Great local pub.. Lovely bet garden and free parking

The food was very poor quality. Steak over cooked. Onion rings were like scraps, not even rings. Half a roast chicken was two measly dried up pieces - absolute joke and they should be ashamed of themselves. Very disappointing indeed. Obviously this place is trying to save money well it’s backfired and you will lose customers if you carry on like this. Avoid this place at all costs.

This is my first time coming to this restaurant. The environment is so comfortable, there are many kinds of food, and my favorite is the children's meals.

Had a large(ish) group of 15 for a colleague's retirement. Staff were well prepared, friendly and efficient. No issue when we asked to move outside. Easy to get served and food came out quickly. All in all, a top job! It's the second gathering we have had at the open arms in the last month. Definitely recommend. Thanks again!

We emailed Melissa with the fine and a receipt to prove she had been in the pub and within an hour the parking company had cancelled the fine. So impressed with the quick response. My daughter now knows to check parking notices!!!

This was my first time I have ever visited the Open Arms 4 in party. Staff were excellent from start to finish. Service with a smile nothing was too much trouble even though it became busy quite quickly after we arrived. Meals were served hot and staff were very attentive. Excellent customer service.

Parking fine, went to have social drink with friend as we both work in Coventry but live 200 miles away, but I have small flat in Coventry. We did not see any sign for parking charges, may have missed it becuse it so small. Received a parking fine for £100, tried calling pub several times with no-one answering after 10 times had to give up. The disappointment was, the card machine was not working so we paid in cash, no traceability I was fined but my friend car was not been picked up and he has not got ticket through post. ( lucky him ) I would also like to state, that bar staff should make the customer aware, as I have been to other pubs with same parking set up and always told to punch in number on the machine. I would be appricate if they even tried to contact me on here !

Popped in for breakfast with my son and his dog recently. Good food and good price. Very friendly staff. Exceptionally clean pub and toilets. Dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.

This is my local, so I'm glad it's pretty good. Could do with slightly more vegetarian options on the menu, but I am here to talk to you all into getting the vegan wellington because it's yummy.

Great pub. The decor is lovely, the staff super friendly and the food tasty and good value. The breakfasts are especially good value. We come here often and would recommend to others.

Just popped in for a couple of drinks with some friends and noticed the attention to detail the waitress took in everything, from clearing tables, food on the floor and even cleaning the menus when they were quite, she is an absolute merit to your organisation. Thanks Amélie keep up the hard work.

Not happy with the parking management but the manager has taken the time to explain the reasons why they were left with no choice on this. Would be nice if staff could remind customers, we dont all see the signs because we're not paying attention...pub is full switch off and relax mode. Please take note (and im a stickler for detail normally) So that aside... Great food, price, atmosphere since I first started coming here in the early 90s. Another pub making people register for parking.

First eating and i love it. I recommend everyone to eat here.

Very warm and welcoming environment. Had a lovely meal and enjoyed it. Very quiet, this is what i loved the most. Very clean as well. Also noted a baby pad changing area reserved, which made it all the more attractive if with the kids and out for a quick meal.

The service was very poor, which was disappointing as our menu orders were great. It did feel like we were forgotten, which is not good. The bar staff seemed very fed up too.

The vegetables are under Cook. Look not good. Will never go there again.

Recently visited with my family to celebrate a birthday and was really impressed with the service. A lady called Laura was extremely friendly and is a credit to the business! Food was incredible 🤩🤩

Very disappointed with the roast dinner could’nt cut through the gammon and just a chicken leg. we were warned off having this from a friend who had the same experience a couple of weeks before wished we had listened. Staff friendly but no one asked if our meal was ok. Won’t go again till hear good reports

Ordered 4 meals and only 3 arrived together, the 4th only arrived once everyone else had basically finished, so it wasn't very enjoyable for me.

Would not recommend. Ordered the linguine because even though they had carbonara on the menu it wasn't available, I asked for a captain Morgan's and orange, they had no captain Morgan's. I asked for a Kopoerborg they did not have this either. Absolute disaster

Food way below standard. Came here other week and food was poor. Gave it another chance today and again food was not very good. Used to come here every weekend as both drinks and food were very good, unfortunately not anymore. Better off going McDonalds for a burger.

Booked for a small funeral wake. Staff were welcoming and polite. Booking had been straightforward. Buffet food was plentiful

The food was lovely, by far the best Ember Inn I have ever visited. The Downside is they need more people behind the bar.

This is my local, and we tried the vegan linguine today for the 1st time. Goodness me, the vegan feta is really delicious! The dish is also filled with succulent vegetables and is quite delicious.

The food was great , but felt ripped off that the set menu prices were not applied on the app when I ordered . The 3 meals worked £6 more than the actual menu price . I won't bother using the Ember inn's app again ,I'll order at the bar .

Sunday Lunch - excellent. Good quality ingredients. Well presented Good value. What’s not to like! Highly recommend. Why cook when you can get a Sunday lunch like this.

We had great food. This was our first visit. The staff was Awesome. They helped us to bring food ontime. Kids enjoyed a lot. we enjoyed the food and the drinks as well. will definitely come back soon for another occasion.

Had a lovely lunch, Smashed Avocado on Toast. waitress Caitlyn was a really friendly and helpful. Had coffee and waffles for dessert, love the mii of mini option. All was delicious.

I called in for a beer on the way to dropping a friend at the station. Forgot to enter the car reg and got £60 fine. It's easier to go to a pub that doesn't make life difficult.

Fantastic evening at The Open Arms for husband bday celebration. We have been looked after right from the beginning. Table was set and ready for 9 people , orders have been taken at the bar but lady who served us make sure all food coming out at once. She was also at the table multiple times checking on us, collecting empty glasses, bringing more drinks... She was so nice. also brought my husband little bday treat, super thoughtful and cute. Food was amazing, super fresh and cooked to perfection. Place was packed as well, no chance to get in without booking. Amazing atmosphere, can't wait to go back. Thank you for your hospitality

Had a nice lunchtime meal with friends: portions were generous and a nice variety of options. Friends had chicken and chips which was nice but a bit dry. I had a Mediterranean linguini which was tasty.
