Half hour wait for food Had chickpea curry the sweet potatoe in it tasted undercooked. Not many staff around on the day we went. Couldn't have wine in wine glass because they were non left all being used aparently. Pudding of chocolate fudge and ice cream was nice.

Booked table for lunchtime Wednesday 21st August for 9 people. Table was ready and waiting, very pleasant and friendly staff behind the bar and on the floor. Large drinks and large food orders, everything came together all cooked fresh to order, cannot praise the girls enough they worked so hard. It was very busy . every time we went for more drinks they knew what we were having, we had a great 3 hours 9 family members having a get together, will definately book this venue again, Thankyou so much Jamie and Chloe for all your hard work. Always very pleasant and helpful.

Food was very poor. We have eaten here a few times and this was by far the worst. My partners mash was dark yellow and so small. Gravy still had granule lumps in it. My salt and pepper seasoning was dumped on top of food in mounds. Katau sauce was congealed and had dark skin on. Beer was fine. Service at bar fine. Waitress just dumped plates in front of us with no cutlery or checking we wanted sauces. Not that much cheaper than two pubs up the road where everything home cooked on sat or not with an offer. Will not eat at this Hungry Horse again.

I had an all day breakfast , it was awful. Not worth the money. A desert spoon of beans that were all dried up. I’ve never seen such a small egg that was under cooked. Bread so dry even when I put the butter on it was still dry. I won’t be using this place again.

Went out for a nice cheap pub meal. Fantastic and tasty food, great staff, nothing is ever too much trouble for them, lovely restaurant with a warm and friendly feeling. Would return!

Great food, we had fish and chips and the beef lasagne, could not fault either, had the chocolate cake for dessert which was also nice. Make sure you sign your car reg into the machine on arrival.. maybe a few more signs would be helpful for your customers.

Quite possibly one of the worst places I have visited in a long while. It was a Monday evening and half the restaurant space was ‘closed’ with chairs obstructing the walkways despite almost every other table being occupied. Any tables that were not occupied closely resembled a jenga tower of dirty plates despite a plethora of staff hanging around. The staff were rude when taking drink and food orders and the food was below average. Definitely one to avoid!

came here for mums birthday meal . got sat on a table what still had crumbs on. menus were sticky. lots of tables around us still had empty plates on where no one was sitting at (it wasn’t very busy at this time). got there at 3:15 and left at 4:50. took 20 minutes for drinks to come to the table. ordered 4 mains and two puddings. mains came fast and tasted very well for then the plates to of taken a while to be taken away and then took another 30 minutes for two puddings to arrive and when asked how much longer it was going to be no one could really come up with an excuse. mains themselves were really good just really disappointed with wait times for us to even have a drink at the start and 30 minutes for puddings which the birthday girl couldn’t even be bothered to eat anymore. she really likes coming to this place so i wanted to treat her for her birthday but was just disappointed in the end. probably won’t bother again.

We tend to go for late breakfast or early lunch and occasionally dinner. Every time the food and the service is great. Thank you. Especially to Lauren this time around.

Lauren is lovely. Easy going and friendly. Will return.

What has happened to the chef? Have they been sacked because whoever is there right now is doing an amazing job of destroying simple cooking. New menu and it was better the way it was before. We have had cremated salmon, chicken the size of a pigeon and chips that could be described as mahogany as they were overcooked. Not a nice experience.

Food was not the best the wait for the food after ordering was way too long missing items off the meals all in all a waste of money

Ordered chicken skewers, and got southern fried, wife ordered steak medium to well ,and after an hour plus came out cremated, this sending back , and after 20 minutes said we were going, forget it, take steak off bill, not up to normal standards, then on way out just gone 8 o’clock, met family of 7 just been told we are not taking any more food orders, they were very disappointed, you could not make it up , this is not there usual, but who ever was in charge , and running the pub , on Saturday , you need to step up, not good enough disappointed 😢

Attended Saturday 06 July 2024 served by Jay, excellent food I was a part of group booking, so impressed we have booked again for 18th July 2024.

It was ok, food wasn't terribly cheap even though the restaurant itself was cheap looking and cramped but we were fed at the end of it. There were a lot of reservations which weren't fulfilled so walking in we didn't get priority, that was the most annoying thing as I have a bad back and it would have been nice to sit at a booth bench where it's comfy

We were welcomed by friendly team members who were happy to serve us with a massive smile. The manager was there to help us throughout our visit today. Thank you Suzi and all the team.

Always a delicious meal here. With friendly welcoming staff. In particular the GM Suzie - really pleasant helpful lady. My mum and I visit every couple of months for our treat meal out. The Gammon is amazing, best around… definitely recommend!

I came in here for the first time and was surprised by the level of rudeness that was given by the manager . She refused to serve me after already serving me 2 pints as I didn’t have id on me . Then refused a refund or swap for another drink . I will not be going here again . Poor service .

Great food and great service and large portions

Waited 30-40 mins for food, which arrived as everyone else in my group had just finished their meals (which had been ordered at exactly the same time). I even went to the bar to after 20mins to ask if my order was on the way had been forgotten, but was told that it was on its way. Although the manageress reimbursed me, I was really disappointed with the overall poor attitude and service from the staff. No one in my group will be returning to this venue. I would strongly recommend going elsewhere and avoiding this place.

Don’t bother. Staff not interested, they only want to serve the “locals” Food is poor microwave rubbish. Not even 1* If you want terrible service, terrible food and the atmosphere to match the it’s great.

I come here every week with my elderly father and the staff are always friendly and helpful especially Lauren and Susie. Tonight’s visit was also friendly by Bradley. All the staff are a credit to the Brewery.

Wouldn’t even give it 1, waited over 1hr when ordering was told 25 mins, ridiculous wasn’t worth the wait at all, decor and seating is ridiculous, chair almost fell apart on us, this needs to be improved and needs a environmental heath review asap

5pm leaving the hospital, 2 hour drive in rush hour to get back to the Black Country, decided to call in at the local Greene King called "Mount Pleasant" . Excellent decision 👏, superb "Chicken Newyorker" great service from Mille.

Today I went with my family to the mount pleasant as a birthday celebration. Food was just ok. The steaks were dry and the mashed potato of the Sunday roast was dry too and clearly made from a packet. The table wasn’t cleared for ages so we had to put them on another table in order to be able to eat the birthday cake. Quite disappointing to be honest. However , the boy at the bar was very pleasant and helpful and it was quiet for a Sunday.

Food was brilliant and the lad that served us exceptional think his name was Bradley will definitely be going back

Lauren, Alisha and the Team are extremly friendly and welcoming - make you feel like valued customers. The food we ordered was fresh, hot and tasty. A great selection on the menu to suit all tastes. Some great offers during the week too.

Two of us went for breakfast and we both ordered the wrap. We were not disappointed. Expecting something in the style of the Wetherspoons wrap this thing was huge and properly set us up for the day. Would highly recommend and we both sent our compliments to the chef. Looking forwarding to visiting again when we are back in the area!!!!!

Great experience today. I was welcomed when I arrived and the food came out quickly. Was served by Bradley who was very attentive and checked I had everything needed. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Coventry.

Bradley served us.. A table of 6. He went out of his way to ensure our comfort. Turning the music of on the speaker near us so we could converse comfortably. He was exceptional in caring, bringing in a cake, being patient as many photos were taken. The table was continually cleared for our comfort. Yes definitely. a 5 star service from him.

Food was brilliant! My mum had a medium rare steak cooked to perfection, and my gravy chicken burger was absolutely amazing. The staff are so friendly here and we will definitely be coming more regularly!!

I went to the mount pleasant a few days ago and I had some food , the food was immaculate with extra care for my dietary requirements. Even tho it being busy I had exceptional service from Paige, Lauren and susie. I will be coming here again.

Lovely pub staff always welcoming and food is hot and tastes great. Only down side no room for puddings 😉

Went here on recommendation and was not disappointed. ample car parking and seating in defined areas..greeted enthusiastically made to feel welcome. had fish and chips off lunch menu which was excellent..Susie certainly looked after us excellent service. Will certainly go again. Great value and take Blue Light as well.

Went here for lunch with my youngest daughter after visiting previously for her dad's birthday. Nice place that can be noisy at certain times, especially when there's a sporting fixture on the TV. Staff are nice & courteous & nothing is a problem. The food is really nice & presented well. It was quiet when we went at lunch time bit then it was early lunch, so I don't know what it's like later on. Many good offers on & not bad value either. I had chicken & bacon baguette with chips & my daughter had something from the kids menu which she really enjoyed.

Popped in last Tuesday 12th March, for a quick bite to eat. The food was really good, compliments to the chef. Lovely service from Jemma behind the bar and Jhamie who served my food. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great Sunday lunch, we went large for £2 extra each. The beef was tender and very juicy, the wife’s turkey was lovely, the pudding just finished the meal off thank you

me and nan had a breakfast whist waiting for her dog to get groomed. Food was quick to arrive I haven't been in since before covid as moved away, I will be back with nan soon.

We booked a table for 6 adults for lunch at 1.30pm, got there 20 minutes early our table was ready, ordered drinks and within 15 minutes ordered our food, There was a real good choice, some really good lunchtime deals, however we just ordered 6 mains and extras, all the meals came together really cooked fresh so hot and good portion sizes. Everyone enjoyed there food and will definately be going back, Wednesday lunch a bottle of house wine for £7.99 and alcohol free drinks for the drivers were 2 for £4 really good choice as well. Service was excellent very friendly very professional. lovely clean pub and restaurant. Thank you staff at the Mount Pleasant for a lovely afternoon with family. Oh and the chips were great crunchy and soft in the middle.

The food in this establishment is of a very high standard, right through from breakfast which is fabulous, the meals and deals are great , staff are lovely too, we have practically had most things on the menu and all have been cooked to perfection and always served piping hot, all in all a fabulous place to eat and drink x

Went in for a few drinks during the Wales and Ireland rugby match. Great atmosphere, good crowd. The GM was very busy behind the bar, however, she dealt with it very well. Smiled and was very happy to serve. Kept her cool. Service is always good here. As a licencee I felt like jumping behind the bar giving her a hand. Thank you for always being polite and professional.

Many thanks for your offer of a revisit we tried to book phone lines down since. Saturday and still down on arrival at 5.4o entrance to the car park was so dark we almost missed the turning. Pub lights out we took a seat informed the staff it was a revisit we ordered from the menu the menu and all was going well food was ordered at 5.44. And it came at 6.16 we asked for well done steak as my partner does not not like the blood look I had a full Monty mix grill which stated it came with a larger portion of chips when the meal came it had a small portion of chips the member of staff was asked about this and she said they are measured out she returned with a large portion of chips which was not the same size as the. Portion on the plate it was a large .please if you are advertising a menu that states larger portion then please provide it as this is misleading your customers. Secondly the steak that was delivered was dripping with blood and not what we asked for this is a simple request cook it well cook it medium don’t cook it. It’s really that simple. My partners meal was taken away to be redone which left a meal for 2 a meal for 1 I went to the bar waited 5 mins to be spoken to my number was left for your to contact me We left as we don’t want to eat as a single we wanted to eat as a couple very disappointed We were asked to come back for a first meal and a drink as a good will gesture for the service we had received and this was a disappointment we were then informed a gift card was left for us and we could use the gift card at any hungry horse pubs. When collecting the gift card it was to the value of 20.00 which did not cover a meal for two and a drink.

Roast dinner terrible , all frozen food .

Pretty annoyed really. Visited with the family for my son's birthday and even the picky eaters find something on the menu they like. Some offers on and I had some Tesco reward vouchers to use so win win, or so I thought. There was a balls up using the vouchers I had so £30 voucher was wasted and no way of resolving this either. Service was extremely slow for a quiet Monday evening meaning our evening plans had to be cancelled too. All in all I'm unimpressed, disappointed and very annoyed.
