Had a pint with my mate, always a pleasure and good atmosphere.

Walked to Coventry via the Canal from Nuneaton. Lovely to stop and enjoy a meal and pints in the pub.

The chef's pie excellent, like the other plats of my family. The service and the ambient was exceptional.

Ryan and Toyah have done a great job supporting the long term manager, Kyla, in providing a friendly, welcoming atmosphere - especially on a Thursday night for Open Mic Night - great selection of singers!

Staff was amazing really friendly and going above and beyond fab atmosphere would highly recommend to anyone looking for great time.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. I don't think the kitchen can deal with a group of order as my chicken burger was a bit burnt on some edges and my dad was not happy with fish. Not sure on the other members of the group on there food. But pub was clean and tidy friendly

Lovely place with a lovely staff, great decoration, great meals with big quantities and low prices. I can only recommend. Be aware that if you come for fish, you might want to be here early because it seems to be a victim of it’s popularity.

Just left this pub. Barmaid very rude .berated the barman for not asking us to move away from bar even though no one was there . If they were busy I could understand but two 70+ Are not doing any harm .shame this is happening. NEVER have I been told not to stand at bar in practically empty pubs. .Will definitely NOT return

Went in to day on father's Day service average atmosphere nice food was bland cold no beef when you walk in you should smell nice food cooking been there loads of times on a Sunday must have a different chef I took my partner in in a wheelchair she was not happy as well I heard other people complaining

Saturday night, live band nights , brilliant atmosphere

Chicken frahuta was dry without sauce. Chicken was tough. Not a good choice

Had such a lovely time here and was looked after by all the staff on duty tonight and Toyah was such a lovely lady and nothing was to much trouble for her when I needed a helping hand. What a fabulous experience and we look forward to going there again. Thank you so much Toyah and staff xx

Surprisingly cosy atmosphere for a purpose built pub. Decent selection of cask ales, and the food seems to be popular. Caters for a wide rang of drinkers and non-drinkers, which is always great to see. Good to see it busy early on a Saturday; it is clearly a popular place and based on my visit, that appears to be warranted.

Delicious burgers and especially onion rings!

We went to order food and told 40 min wait. There was no steak so had to rethink. Not a prob at this point. We then went back up and ordered. Paid and were then advised that anybody under 17 had to be out by 8. Time was 19:20. We were told that we could stay after that whilst eating but miraculously we had our starter and mains on the table within 15 mins. The food was good but we were rushed and that killed the atmosphere or enjoyment of being at the Town Crier for a meal. Also in the rush to get the onions rings out the bowl they served them in filled up with oil making them inedible. Shame as could have been a good experience.

Just had scampi with salad. It was everything I wanted it to be! Thankyou chef and catering staff. They revised my order to my liking and the glass of Sauvignon complimented. Perfect lunch!

We met up with a good friend who is over from, Canada on a short break. My partner & I had a good time with the company. I will certainly use the place again with my partner. I know of the place, but it was the first time I had used myself for a meal/drink and it is a good place to be able to unwind with a good pleasant atmosphere.💬🤔😄👍

Slightly odd situation as we were out to mark a family event and had booked a space whilst we were sitting waiting for food to arrive reserved cards were put on the tables for other groups. We were told the first table was needed at 6 it was 5 and food had just been served.

Had a sit down meal with the family. Food was enjoyed all round and the chef was accommodating for a fussy child. Always find the crier has a great atmosphere and feel comfortable bringing my children here.

We came in and they had no more Sunday lunch then they told us that they had another pub and we went there for Sunday lunch but it was not very good. The price that we pay was very good in this pub but not in the other pub it was a lot expensive for what you get on your plate

Had a few days in Coventry 27 - 30 Dec and called in for a drink with a friend and decided to get a meal , food was amazing , fish and chips and gammon , great quality and decent portions . Will definitely be calling back in when next visiting Coventy . Great staff and lovely atmosphere.

The best public house in Coventry City centre hand's down the live music is cheerful and uplifting gets my pennies out of my pockets anytime Well deserved!!!

Great service and lovely food served for our Christmas lunch reunion today from Severn Trent Water Ltd. The Christmas menu at £25 was good value for money and freshly cooked vegetables with real meat (nothing processed) was a pleasure to eat. Nicely presented with Christmas festivities and perfectly timed to allow us back into the office within our core allowance. Merry Christmas all !

Enjoyed the food but £7.90 for 1 pint and a half of Carling is a bit steep.

This is the best pint in town and the best food for miles.. lovley frendly staff.. we had Sunday lunch and pudding after.. the food is lovely and we would definitely recommend this pub to anyone.

Always choose this pub when I want proper nosh at a good price. Today it was ham, egg and chips with bread - superb at just £10.

Popped in after work yesterday for a pint. There was a good variety of ale's to choose from. I had a hobgoblin gold and it was a perfect pint, of course that ment I had to sample another! Staff were friendly and nice atmosphere after a long day. Unfortunately I was driving otherwise I would have stayed longer but will definitely be back (via public transport or taxi haha).

Always good food, decent beer selection, very reasonable wine prices & good atmosphere. Sunday lunch very good value, definitely worth a visit! And thankfully not used regularly by students, so a more peaceful venue! Visited again January 2023 & still very good. Excellent food and good beer choice - and Tuesdays real ale beer at special bargain price, so busier midday on Tuesdays! Highly recommended.

Celebrated Halloween at the Town Crier Saturday night with friends. We loved the cocktails! Staff were lovely and got served quickly. Look forward to next visit

Came to Coventry for a special birthday with friends. Spent Friday night in here and spent plenty on food and drinks and returned again on the Saturday for the live band. 8 of us arrived nice and early at about 5 o’clock. Ordered food and plenty of drinks and were chuffed that we had a nice place to sit and watch the band, and celebrate. That was until the female bar member came over to us at 7 o’clock and dropped a reserved sign on our table and told us it was reserved for regulars arriving at 8! By this time the pub was rammed, nowhere else to sit and we had to leave in the pouring rain and end our night. She had hours to warn us of the “reservation” - but obviously made a few bucks out of us before doing so. NEEDLESS TO SAY SHE RUINED OUR NIGHT AND MY HUSBAND’S BIRTHDAY.

Hi I'm Natalie a local guide, my experience was a positive one at the Town Crier this evening, myself and my partner had a table booked for 6.30pm, staff were very helpful and friendly as soon as we came in to announce our booking we did online, we had a reserved table, ordered two drinks and were told we can look at the menu and order at the Bar when ready. My partner had Scampi ,chips and mushy peas, I had Sea Bass, herby mash and green beans, the food was tasty, like homemade and comforting, the chips my partner had were chunky fluffy and not greasy, and he loved his Scampi, I loved my fish, and my mash was lovely!we both had dark berry fruit crumble and custard, had another drink and left, just as the open Mike guy for the evening was setting up, nice chilled atmosphere with good music playing in the background, staff were so friendly we will both come back. Pub is based on corporation street in town, Monday is quiz night, Wednesday is darts, Thurs is open Mike and Saturday is live music. Worth a visit!

We eat there quite often but the last time I had a meal it was a curry new on the menu and it was appalling I complained to the staff but no response from the kitchen

Enjoyed my visit here. Beer excellent, food was nice and tasty. I did think that charging a pound for gravy was ott for a meal that should have come with it anyway. Penny pinching in the extreme.

This wonderful city centre pub was a monthly high-lite for us before the Covid-19 outbreak, for family outings. This was our first trip back by bus from Banbury, oxon. And could not have been better, Yes the pub is so laid-back, relaxing and very friendly, the beer and ales great, but its the Sunday Dinner we came for! perfect, everything fresh, cooked, and so tasty, real Yorkshires, real roast potatoes, real gravy, Beef was tender as was the Pork, and plenty on it!! We shall not be strangers any more!!! Thanks to all staff, Brillant.

Highlight of my visit to Coventry. Only here visiting family for a week. I have lived for 7 years now in sunny Spain, . What a lovely gem of a pub. The staff here are extremely friendly and professional. The food was really good value for money I thought, and the choice of drinks exceptional. I would most definitely come again and recommend this place to others. I had the Onion Bhaji burger, which was suggested to me by a tall lad with blonde tied up hair, and I wasn’t disappointed. 👍👍👍
