I would definitely recommend the trawl it’s one of the best green kings I have visited and the manager Zane and his staff are amazing.Food came quick and I really enjoyed it and the family loved it.I will definitely be returning soon this place was amazing thanks to Zane and the staff.

Esperaba que fuera mejor. Scone, pequeño y seco con fondo quemado. Rollo de pan un poco pastoso. Café débil. Encantadora, amiga camarera. Caro para lo que era.

Was solo for Work from London, staff on the ball with everything one particular member of staff with a lovely smile and good hospitality was a girl called Hazel and for the gazzer who does the quiz, Fairplay I hope to be back soon

Friendly staff reasonable prices and good food

Entertainment very good -food good quality but - cold plates cold food needs to be warmer took some back but still came back only Luke warm - would come back again but food will be returned for refund if Luke warm again needs to be hot enough to enjoy ☺️

Zaza's Coffee House fue una excelente experiencia para mi primera visita a Escocia. Estaba a solo una cuadra del hotel y su desayuno de huevo revuelto era tan sabroso y de tamaño generoso! No solo era el plato excelente, sino que mi familiar tenía restricciones dietéticas y gentilmente me lo prepararon con esa solicitud. Pedí el 'café blanco', que era café y leche, y era el más cercano a mi café de goteo americano habitual en casa, lo que significa que pude tomar un café y despertarme, sin problemas, como en casa. Además, cada miembro del personal era muy atento, amable y acogedor! Gracias por su servicio de cinco estrellas y la alta calidad de los alimentos! Cuando vuelva sin duda me dejaré caer para una visita!

Excellent village pub. Superb Sunday lunch with very tasty local meats. Fabulous well kept beers. Welcoming ambience in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended.

Ideal para una cena relajada. Tenía scampi y patatas fritas. Scampi tenía una masa ligera encantadora - todo se veía y sabía muy bien. Para el pudín tuve posset de limón con grosellas negras, el mejor postre que he tenido en mucho tiempo! El personal era muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar. Sin duda recomendaría.

This place used to be a thriving pub and a real community hub! It has declined rapidly over the last few years and sadly it is now an absolute shambles! the Bar is always understaffed, the bar staff seem more interested in chatting amongst themselves! no acknowledgement of waiting customers when they are preparing drinks for the restaurant which is just rude! all it takes is a quick hello there will be someone with you shortly as I am just dealing with a drink order for the restaurant! even when the place is relatively quiet glasses never seem to be collected from tables, surely the staff should be trained to be out collecting glasses and wiping tables down when there are no customers waiting to be served, these issues could be easily rectified with a competent management team in place.

We've had 2 lovely family meals here now, on picking-up & dropping-off my son at uni. Both times were great. The food was delicious (I had the veg Thai curry, can't remember what everyone else had, but they all enjoyed their meals) with decent portion size, the staff friendly & customer service really good too.

Beat my expectations, the garlic mushrooms were spot on and the pink roast beef was amazing. The Yorkshire pudding was the best I’ve had in years!!! Staff lovely, highly recommend.

Had a great time with 7 friends enjoyed their super carvery, we were in the conservatory and had plenty of space even though it was packed with other diners. The food was superb as always when we visit The Village Inn!!
