Caffe Nero - Lord Street in Liverpool

Muchacha encantadora en el bar. Me alegró el día. Sadia el barista era muy hablador y acogedor y me hizo un encantador café con leche genial para calentarme!

The main reason we chose this place is that it's is supposed to stay open until 20:00. However, just before 19:00, we were told that the system is down and that they are need to close for the day. I really do not understand what's the connection between the system and us sitting at the cafe after ordering drinks and food for 4 people. And even then, at least offer some kind of compensation for our time and money that we spent there. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but after all, bad customer service is the norm in this city, and I'm almost certain that the staff simply wanted to go home early and did not care about us. Not going to visit ever again.

Cafe Nero just know how to deliver a great offer. Perfectly temperature for the coffee. Delicious snacks. Never rushed out and great atmosphere.

Popped in for a coffee to shelter from the rain. Barista serving came across dismissive and unhelpful when I enquired about the baked cake selection. I put this down to the cafe being quite busy but noted I would avoid in future and go to another Nero's nearby next time. Wouldn't recommend.

I love going here for coffee, polite assistants and always have seating available.

The coffee was alright, but the tiramisu is a must to try. The cleanness could be improved.

Extremely pleasant and smiley staff member who began chatting with me and sharing with me that her family are from a town back home that is very close to where I grew up. Truly lovely, genuine girl who is a credit to this company!!

My go to coffee shop while shopping in Liverpool. It has the best location on the main shopping street near the lower McDonalds. A little dark and dingy inside, but it has a good view of the busy street outside.

Qué desastre total se ha convertido su una vez encantador Nerón. Inodoros asquerosos, mesa pegajosa y sucia, suelo, el señor sabe cuándo fue trapeado por última vez y las migas y la comida debajo de las mesas y cuando se mira en las esquinas su mugre total incluso extintor de incendios es espeso de polvo con una toallita de fichas en la parte superior! Cuándo fueron probados por última vez. El gerente y el personal necesitan enorgullecerse de Caffe Nero y sus trabajos o seguir adelante.

Personal extremadamente sucio, antipático, baños asquerosos, el café no sabía a café, se trasladó a otra cadena de café que el café sabía a café y limpio!

Tuvimos una puesta al día con amigos, el personal aquí era tan amable y servicial, muy profesional. Preciosa comida y bebidas, encantadora visita, no podía hacer lo suficiente para nosotros, para garantizar una visita muy agradable, recomiendo encarecidamente este encantador café.

Nice place to visit for a coffee and bite to eat. They could do with more staff at peak time.

Lovely coffee & cakes but the toilets were gross 🤢 the tables were also full of dirty dishes. Felt like it wasn’t cared for & grubby.

Good experience. The drinks are really nice, and the pastries and cakes are also delicious.

A typical Nero experience that did not disappoint

Had to have my tea redone as the decaf tea tasted stale and unpleasant, I understand they are not used that often...therefore they could use individual envelopes? Ellen who served me was VERY helpful with my order and very polite. I would even come back again given the situation with my tea...thank you Ellen ☕👌❤️

Vino por primera vez en un tiempo. La puerta de entrada de cristal está absolutamente sucia, cubierta de huellas de manos sucias por todas partes. Le pregunté al barista si tenían limpiadores. Ella dijo que los dos empleados son responsables de la limpieza, así que mencioné la puerta y me dijo que tienen un limpiador de ventanas, pero él no aparece a menudo. Eso fue todo. Sin preocupaciones, sin vergüenza, sin palabras de intención para limpiarlo.

the amount of rude customers in this shop is alarming. An old man (typical Karen) was shouting at the girls and harassing them for closing on early when there was a sign on the door that informed that they were understaffed. I guess manners aren’t free anymore for entitled people like that man. The coffee was amazing. Really tasty and perfect temperature. The baristas were extremely polite and professional; not many sandwiches but great cake selection.

Always enjoyed drinks from cafe Nero until today, staff were polite and friendly, but definitely need some training on making a nice hot drink

Cafe Nero has lovely coffee but the deterioration of cleanliness, lack of hygiene and material hanging from bottom of old chairs with arm of chair ripped pieces has put us off and we went elsewhere. No food one day just a few really burnt inedible pastries Needs money spent, a cleaner and a mop.

Staff are lovely. Very friendly and kind. But another price rise, again! Too many times to count the last few years and it's too much! I'll go back to the cheaper chain.

Coffee is good but toilets were grubby and had overflowing bins and no soap. At midday on a Friday they certainly hadn't been checked by staff.

Great coffee shop, loving the new iced pistachio lattes however staff were on their phones behind the counter apon arrival, then realised we were waiting to order. Clean shop and excellent amount of seats/tables. Also a public library on the back wall.

Sadia who made our drinks was absolutely amazing , they tasted so good! I have previously came here and had a really bad experience and I am pleased to say they have took on the criticism and gave an absolutely astounding experience , I hope to see this women get a raise !! Great place to have coffee in the centre of Liverpool. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The cafe was clean and well organised. Tables cleared away immediately after customers finished. Very impressive.

No matter who serves me here, I’m greeted warmly and professionally. Always service with a smile and drinks are made so well and fast

Sadly this wasn’t very clean. We stopped off for a sandwich and tea. Just as I went to open my sandwich, I noticed it was out of date. Very off putting. I won’t go back unless they have a deep clean. Tables left with uneaten food, seats & floors covered in crumbs and spilt drinks. Not a good experience.

Had the best coffee ever I had in long time!!! I was served and had my coffee made by Jess... I wish I could of posted a photo because the presentation and quality of the coffee was incredible. So good I had to take a picture of it! Haha... Jess's warm and friendly nature put me at ease as I was due to go to a doctors appointment.... I frequently see my mates and if we decide to go to town then this will be the new place we go...and if the other staff members customer service is like Jess's was today then even better as she was a credit to the company... Thank you Jess!!!

Coffee not bad. Service not so great. The previous user of the able we sat at wasn't cleared away, so when we left,the next person sat at a table that was full of crockery. Not very good.

Came here in Dec 22'. Service was quite quick and helpful staff were on hand to assist me with my order offering vegan options for my coffee. Very well presented store with a clear menu and pricing. On site toilets and seating available downstairs too and charger ports for phones. However this is down a set of stairs and so may not be suited for wheelchair or disabled access. Accessible by foot with nearby train and bus stations and parking too.

Always great coffee but could be duel with upgrading the chairs, very grubby.

The individuals who assisted me were impolite. Although I specified I intended to consume my order in the restaurant, it was placed in a takeaway mug. When I requested a correction, the server raised his voice. Eventually, the same coffee was poured into the mug, and it became cold. I did not enjoy the experience. Kindly address this issue, and I hope management takes appropriate action

We just popped in for coffees and a snack, which were OK. Service was reasonably quick.

Poor customer service , no proper cups and very rude and impatient staff , they don’t do BlueLightCard discount today but I suspect she couldn’t be bothered , no Christmas cheer here!

Felt sorry for the male and female members of staff, they were like machines non stop. Stretched and noticed nearly no one said thank you to them. Hot Chocolate was not hot but good location and one knows what one's getting. Would recommend.

Spacious cafe with two floors of seating. Coffee was good but staff could be a bit friendlier. Tried the iced frappe and it was as expected. Relatively Shepard than other coffee chains and you get what you pay for.

Winter blend oat latte was near perfect. I needed to clear the table of previous customer's cups and plates but besides that, all good for a relaxing cuppa and a book to read in a window seat

I needed a light refreshment and somewhere cool and pleasant to just sit and relax, and I found the perfect place. The rear of the shop was cool and comfortable, the food was light and full of flavour and indulgent the staff were excellent and quick at supplying my order and very helpful and I fully relaxed in the soft comfortable chair what more could you ask on a warm Sunday afternoon

Called in for a coffee before catching the train home. Love cafe Nero, always good service and atmosphere, staff well trained in their jobs, always polite and always deliver a great coffee. Shop was clean and tidy. As were the disabled toilets.

Love this place! Best coffee, great vibe.

I walked for half an hour to get here because my 4years old son specifically wanted a frappe from Nero. It was 4 afternoon and in the meantime a heavy rain started. But I didn't get the most wanted frappe because they ran out of... ice. One of the main ingredients for most of their main menu. Next time, if you want to have good reviews and rate, make sure you get enough stock of that bloody cheap and abundant ICE. 😡

I visited early morning so was very quiet. Staff were very polite and informative, didn't have any food but the coffee was delicious

Pleasant place for a coffee and our favourite chocolate shortbread. I had a latte and my husband had an Americano. We tried oat milk for a change it was delicious.

Probably my fave out of the chains. Decent coffee and better value than other known chains. We had toasties, coffee, chocolate milkshake and a few sweet treats, all lovely. Comparison to other high street coffee chains, the atmosphere is a bit more comfortable and authentic at cafe Nero. Service can be a bit chaotic, depending on day/time of visit, queued but on the whole, staff very attentive and thays the case in most places in city centre..

The staff always smile , kind and helpful, even if the place is very busy. They make excellent drinks every time I come here to drink and grab a bite. I visit this Nero very often. The seats are very comfortable and clean. It's nice to come here almost every day.

Very expensive, and nothing special for the price

Normally enjoy visiting here to relax and have nice coffee however today to noisy music to loud meant to be background therefore people talking loudly I think people should be aware not everyone wants to hear what's on your phone

I highly recommend this lovely café. The coffe is excellent, the pastries and sandwiches are very tasty. Megan was very helpful and gave great recommendations.

Limited vegan options but I mainly pop in for a cuppa and chill. I like the atmosphere here and the staff are great. My 2 poodles are made to feel welcome too

The worst service I’ve seen in years. The order was wrong, they didn’t allow us to use the toilet because they were short in staff (I don’t see why this is a valid reason) and they were being rude. Don’t go any time soon.

Went to Cafe Near as I heard a lot of positive reviews from people. Ordered a luxury hot chocolate and was kind of hyped for it. Honestly was the worst hot I've ever tasted. Was bland and just disgusting. Binned it. Otherwise staff and atmosphere was nice.

A very good Neros, ideally situated in Liverpool City centre. The staff are normally very good and it's generally well maintained.

Can definitely recommend the Mango Passion fruit Cooler it was amazing, definitely great for a hot day. Atmosphere in the cafe was lovely and laid back to. Prices reasonable.
