Food was lovely,shame about staff and services wasnt the best had keep asking for menus /drinks they was only few people in reastruant. no excuse they was busy

Food was great. Service is a bit slow but we are on vacation and perfectly ok with this. We ordered the udon + pork belly and it’s comforting and nice for the cold and windy weather. Cocktail is good too.

What an amzing experience! Food was 10/10 and atmosphare the same. Service was great since there were not too many people on Monday evening. Everything we ordered was spot on, you know its delicious when you have a full belly, but still.. can not stop eating :) Will 100% coming back! Thanks

Food was good but telling me I was sitting at a table for 4 and showing me the next table over was for 2 when the restaurant was empty "really" after I was told to sit anywhere, otherwise you would have got a 5 star rating. Travelling by myself is nervous enough. Chicken & bacon penne was lovely, very tasty.

The waiters were more interested in watching the match on TV than taking care of the customers, too bad

Booked afternoon tea as a birthday gift, paid extra for the prosecco option, upon arrival told it does not include tea or coffee. I have never been anywhere for afternoon tea that does not include a hot drink as standard. Nice selection of cakes though

went here yesterday to watch football match nice bar with plenty of tv s good hard working staff only problem was the beer they ran out of guinness / goss ipa &love lane ipa on a sat night only larger/or shorts not good managerment

Just a quick insight in our visit. I arrived with my girlfriend after having to rebook for January. When arrived we went over to the bar and got seated right away which is expected after booking for a certain time. The waitress Serena actually asked us if there was anywhere particular that we would like to sit. Once sat, we where approached by several members of staff asking if everything was fine and if we would like to order drinks and food! The waitress Serena (who dealt with us all night) couldn’t be thanked enough! That service that was provided definitely needs to be rolled out to all staff, it was amazing and it made our night! You went above and beyond to make sure the night ran smoothly! Honestly this has got to be once of if not the nicest place I’ve ever ate at. Mariana I can’t actually thank you enough for making the night as special as it was. We are very grateful for the service you have provided us and you including all the staff who was there on the night should be proud of running of the best restaurants in Liverpool!

went here yesterday ordered a Nachos omg ive been sick and vomiting all night!!! definately the cause was Nachos they were horrible cold, sauce was yuk, jalapeños tasted awful... i should of sent it back dont know why i didnt... had a glass of wine which cost £7.20 Nachos & 5.00 so & 12.20 down the drain literally. disgraceful disgusting vile dont go there!!!!

we went to both the bar and the restaurant, the food was nice particularly the chicken caesar salad and it was very child friendly with dot-to-dit’s and other activities. We had free drink tokens as we were staying at the hotel and the lovely barman made two delicious off-menu "mocktails" for my children

Lovely afternoon tea in smart contemporary surroundings. Bar and reception staff helpful and friendly. Good choice of vegan and vegetarian sandwiches, unfortunately no vegan cakes or scones so I wasn't able to participate in the sweet selection, however my husband said that they were lovely! Service was good and efficient. Would have got a higher rating had they had vegan options!

Situated within the Novotel hotel, a cool and contemporary bar with a great selection of drinks.We had two free drinks tokens as we were staying in the hotel. The bar woman was not overly friendly, as I asked for a bottle and was curtly told they only served that on draught. My mistake, but I found her quite rude. The bar was not that busy, there were 4 members of staff at least, yet tables had dirty glasses on them.

Visited the restaurant this year during one of my visits to Liverpool. Had Pork Belly and Squid rings both were yummy and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will be visiting it again next time we visit Liverpool

Called in for a quick drink on a wee tour round Liverpool. Very cool contemporary bar with a great place to sit and watch the world go by.

Popped in tonight for a couple of cocktails with a friend who is very hard to please was pleasantly surprised that they where so good.The waitress was called Elizabeth and was amazing at making the cocktails and very attentive without being over the top will definitely be returning. Upset we had to leave so early as it is work on the morning. Also had them duck spring rolls which where a lot bigger than what I had imagined but where perfect to pick it while catching up.

My daughter treated me to a surprise afternoon tea , she forgot to tell them “no butter “ in her sandwiches - although it was prepared , they quickly did her some cheese & pickle sandwiches ...Pleasant surroundings and waitress was attentive Good value for money

Planned to eat and drink here following a day exploring the city. Walked in unnoticed. Walked around the bar slowly TWICE and despite 4 staff with CREW stamped across the back of their uniforms, and someone who might have been management looking busy doing something that didn’t involve any customerver some, and probably only 3 customers in the premises at the time, they were all so engrossed in their own chit chat or whatever, that we entered, walked a circular walk around the entire restaurant and said loud enough to be heard that there didn’t seem to be any interest in us, we left! Obviously customer service is not a high priority here . Disappointing but there re SO many brilliant places to eat and drink nearby we will always choose somewhere with a warm welcome over somewhere as cold as this place.

Ate here twice for dinner whilst staying at the adjoining Novotel. Menu was varied and reasonably priced. Kids offer for July/August which we availed off. Food well presented and very tasty. Wine and beer selections good. Staff pleasant and engaging. Very pleased overall and would return.

I came here with my partner for a quiet drink with for my borthday before we went for a meal. When getting to the bar, we could see that the staff was busy which I don't mind waiting as I have worked in this kind of environment in the passed so I understand what it's like. They didn't acknowledge us at all. Didn't get a hello and they avoided eye contact. We waited for at least 5 to 10 minutes but we got nothing. So we just got up and left. We went over to Turtle Bay and the second we walked in a gentleman came over said hello and seen to us straight away!! Maybe pop over the road for some training?

Had a lovely afternoon tea here to celebrate our friends birthday. The sandwiches were fresh and all delicious. The scones were warm & absolutely delightful. There was a good variety of cakes could not fault anything . The staff were friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble . Probably one of the nicest afternoon teas I have had .

I would highly recommend afternoon tea at the rope walks, we all had a fabulous time! We were a table of six and the food was lovely and plenty of it, the cakes were delicious. The service we received from Roberta was outstanding, she was very helpful and attentive and made sure our glasses of Prosecco were always full, thank you, we all had a great time! Definitely Value for money and most definitely will be back

Days holiday well spent with my children. Possibly the best afternoon tea. Fresh bread, plenty of sandwiches and cake... and prosecco. Its ok my children are adults ❤️ Would highly recommend

Visited here as a surprise birthday dinner last night. We’re local so I never would have thought of visiting a restaurant attached to a hotel. Wow firstly I must mention the impeccable customer service from the staff here. 5 star!!! Haven’t had better even in top top restaurants. Keep up the good work as that’s what made me write this review. The food was excellent two of us ordered the raclette burgers which were outstanding and the scouse my friend said was amazing (a compliment from a local when locals only usually tend to like their mums) and the vegetarian noodles, which our veggie friend really enjoyed. Thank you for a lovely evening and my little ice cream with candle. You went above and beyond and made our night. Thank you. Will be returning.

Absolutely lovely afternoon tea occasion - comfortable calm surroundings , first class waiting on service by efficient friendly waitress / the cakes and sandwiches were freshly made and cute and elegant and so tasty -lots of choice and nicely presented, individual elegant teapots and crockery with good quality tea and very nice fizz / we had the bottomless Prosecco option but weren’t greedy, but surprisingly put away a bottle each without rushing or knocking it back . This was a groupon offer for £32 which is still on ( but in the form of afternoon tea with a bottle of Prosecco not bottomless now for £24 / I’m seriously tempted to book again to go with friends as I really do recommend it / - it’s probably one of the nicest afternoon tea selections I’ve had - better than panoramic for quality of food and not that different 60 hope street ( although the sandwiches there were cuter and more interesting and slightly posher fillings but that was £25 each there !!! ). At the Novotel there is a lovely central bar area there too so it would be easy to buy more drinks to extend the visit

Went here with 5 of my friends for their bottomless Prosecco afternoon tea and it didn’t disappoint! The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and definitely were not shy with keeping the fizz topped up! Afternoon tea was delicious, sandwiches, scone and cake!!! Plus with the bar right near to the train station we could stumble back in no time!! We all can’t wait to book again, in fact the only thing we disagreed on was whether it’s jam or cream on a scone first!

The restaurant is the Novotels. It has a good restaurant missing some more variety especially vegetables are missing. The breakfast is too expensive if not with a good deal for the stay. The restaurant is made with lots of ropes and in an industrial style. The bar and restaurant menu are higher priced.

We had booked a last minute reservation and were pleasantly surprised! The location of the restaurant means you’d easily pass by or not notice it to the back of bar. We had starters and mains and couldn’t even look at desserts we were so full. I had the stir fry and it was absolutely gorgeous! It was surprisingly quiet so the noise levels of teens and children was a bit much at the pool table but I did notice a night porter asking them to reduce noise levels and move on later on in the night! The drinks and wine was delicious , food was delicious, the staff were super nice and bubbly and the price was really reasonable.

We had a voucher deal for my friends afternoon tea. Booking was easy and straight forward. We were very well looked after by our friendly and attentive waitress. Unfortunately I didn't get our lovely waitress's name. This was very good value for money. Good choice of sandwiches and cakes, prosecco, our glasses were refilled a few times. Our coffees were also included in our booking One of the best deals we have had for afternoon tea. It's a lovely restaurant/hotel. I would be very happy to recommend this afternoon tea. I'm staying in the Novotel Nice City Centre in six weeks time, hope it lives up to the same high standard.

Great bar and kitchen in our hotel. Food was beautifully presented and of good quality. Not big portions, so the hungrier eater may need to bulk out with a few sides. Staff were very friendly and gave great service. Would highly recommend!

Visited for an after tea as had a deal voucher. The reservation process was easy and staff very professional. We received a warm welcome on arrival service was quick and friendly. The afternoon tea was good and we really enjoyed it. Everywhere was clean and well presented and was very busy but that did not effect the level of service that was excellent throughout

My hubby and myself visited for afternoon tea which was a birthday present for me from friends. From the moment we entered we knew it was going to be a lovely afternoon. The staff were really friendly and efficient. We were given a table in the restaurant part. The glass of prosecco came next followed by a bottle of water which is always a nice touch. The afternoon tea was lovely. A good selection of sandwiches, the nicest scone I have tasted in a very long time and a delicious selection of cakes. The chocolate mousse type cake was heavenly. We were told to just ask when we needed the coffee which, when it came, was piping hot. The staff were attentive, very pleasant and efficient without being intrusive. We had a lovely, relaxed few hours with one of the nicest afternoon teas we've had. We will definitely visit again and would recommend to others. Nearby car parking was also a bonus as the weather was very wet. Thank you to everyone at the Ropewalks bar and kitchen from 2 very satisfied customers.

We had scouse, Love Lane beer and a creme brulee. Everything was excellent and the srevice was impeccable.

Es en restaurante del hotel Novotel, muy lindo ambiente. Fuimos con un Groupon que incluía entrada y plato, más bebida. Pedimos ribs con barbacoa, pechuga de pato grillado y pizza. Todo excelente. Porciones de buen tamaño, atención muy cordial, inmejorable relación precio/calidad.

Straightforward food which was well prepared and came speedily. A large screen projector tv covered one wall showing football. Plenty of children as it was 1/2 term. Modest prices.

This bar is located in the Hotel Novotel Liverpool Centre Had a drink in this cosy (sports) bar behind the lobby entrance. Big screens everywhere in this place with live football matches. Good service.

We visited here rather than eating in one of the chain restaurants in Liverpool One and what a lovely little find. It was really chilled out (rather than the normal clamour for seats) and had a decent vegetarian menu.The service was perfect and my starter of halloumi parcel was absolutely perfect. The main was a little disappointing but my husband had the noodles which were excellent.It made a lovely change from being knocked about by shoppers and was a great place to relax post shopping

Visited on a quite Tuesday lunch time staff were great really helpful and very friendly I had the belly pork to start it was excellent my friend had ribs with corn and coleslaw she loved it.We both had duck with quail egg it was lovely glass of prosecco what more could you ask for Thank you for a great meal

Only called in for cocktails as we were eating elsewhere. Decent selection all priced at £8. We had mojitos and “strawberry cheesecake”. Both well made by the friendly staff. Plenty of seating around the bar area with tv showing sports. Music at a sensible volume too so we could actually talk to each other! Would call in again.

We went today with our great deal Groupon voucher , pleasantly greeted by a male server who was very helpful explaining the menu options to us and addressing us very politely .We were happy with the food and the nice, relaxed atmosphere of the place.It seems a lovely spot to relax , considering we both work in the city centre.My only slight complaint would be the base of the pizza I've ordered as my main course - it was a bit 'pale' and doughy, however the toppings were tasty and generous.I've already recommended this place to my friends and we will be back soon.

In all honesty wanted a cheap,and cheerful so went to Wetherspoons, too loud to talk and not great so Pete suggested here as he’d been before Christmas and said it was fab.... and it is just that... Attentive service and as I’m an avid blogger asked for his name but said it’s a team effort how lovely is that .... I had scouse ( bloody lovely ) and Pete had a pizza only crusts left his problem not theirs lol The gentleman serving us recognised Pete and I must say very impressed.... Cozy restaurant with incredible food and impeccable service. This hidden gem deserves the excellent reviews on trip advisor. Bought a Groupon (2 courses and glass of wine £22 for 2 people) and booked for a Sunday lunch time that coincide with a shopping trip. The staff were attentive, sat in a booth and ordered ribs corn and coleslaw for starters, that was a main in it's self then Fried Bass with vegetables and caviar... One word ...AMAZING! I highly recommend!

We ate here after we had been to the pantomime. The lady who served us was very nice and all the staff smiled or acknowledged us which was nice. Unfortunately though the food wasn't nice at all. I had the prawn and steak kebab and the steak and prawns tasted the same. It tasted like they were burnt and it was very greasy. I felt sick the rest of the night. The other food wasn't great either. Overall not a great experience and won't be eating there again.

I had amazing duck and the presentation was excellent! It is very reasonable for price for what you get. I love the chef comes out to see if you enjoyed your meal.

Came here with my partner for Dinner. Booked for 4pm so the place wasn't too busy. We were sat down by one of the staff but another one served us.He took our order without writing it down and had to come back and ask again what one of us wanted. I asked if I could have cream with my dessert and the waiter said no, I asked if it came with anything and he said no but when I checked the menu again it came with ice cream? I asked asked for the soup of the day and he didn't know what this was so had to check. The starters arrived and neither were to my taste and not what I thought they were going to be, not the fault of the kitchen or staff. The mains arrived and I ordered off the Christmas menu so I got the roast dinner. It looked nice but the veg was all too hard to eat and some cold. There wasn't enough gravy to cover the whole plate and there was no pigs in blankets, which were on the menu. The plates then Sat there for 20 minutes before anyone came to move them. I had to them go and ask if we'd been forgotten about and advised the member of staff who then took the plates and I mentioned the hard veg and food missing and he said 'I did ask if it was okay'. By this he meant two minutes in to eating he marched past and on the way, while I had a mount full of food he asked if it was okay, to which I made a noise at him. He apologised and took the plates. 10 minutes later and still no desserts. I went to speak to the manager and again to advise we were leaving and the desserts came out as we were waiting to pay. Its really unacceptable waiting this long for desserts! They did give me a discount but I've not ate so I've left now and I'm going to have to try and find something else to eat.

For the bar and food outlet at the Liverpool One Novotel. I was waiting for my room to be ready and had a cheeky G&T cheerfully served. Surroundings OK.

Came here last minute with my partner. Enjoyed the mains and the services was 5*. Desserts were okay but brownie was slightly warm on the outside and freezing on the inside. Couldn't work out what way it was meant to be. Resturant is very relaxing and inviting. Well worth a visit.

Estabamos de paso por una tarde/noche en la ciudad de Liverpool, y conocimos la ciudad desde la llegada hora 16 hasta volver al hotel y sabiamos de la existencia de este restaurante en el propio hotel y nosotros como veniamos en una excursion de Europamundo teniamos un descuento del 20%. Aprovechamos la oferta para cenar en el lugar y fue muy buena la comida, en calidad y cantida y el precio muy razonable.

Attended here sad table for one. Service reasonable but in personal. Staff seemed to have difficulty connecting. Connection appeared a bit forced and templated. Would go again as food ok but just overall lacked luster

For second time I am here. The restaurant bar is actually the part of the Novotel hotel. Has a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Definitely can recommend sitting by the window and watching the the world outside. Friendly staff, Tasty food with nice service... Well done guys.. Just keep it up... You are really Excellent... You will be never left alone... Thank you very much...

Back for another visit. This time a flying one. Greeted as an old friend by bar staff. They serve G&T in huge bowl like glasses. Perfect end to the day.

We were staying at the Novotel with a bus group and it included dinner at RopeWalks. The dinner was buffet style and the food was just okay. We didn't get to order off of the menu which probably would have been better. But it was my sister's birthday and they did bring out a piece of cake with a candle and sang to her. That was very nice.

Called in here for afternoon tea on a very hot and sticky afternoon of shopping round town.A lovely cool and peaceful haven after the heat and rush of the streets.Served very promptly by a very pleasant young lady who asked if we wanted a drink as soon as we got in(we must have looked desperate!)The afternoon tea itself was excellent and nicely presented and as it was more than we could actually eat the rest was packed up for us to take home.Lovely!!

The only place me and my partner go to watch the football staff are great especially si. Staff are always really nice and the salt and pepper wings are amazing.

Staying again for another hospital visit. Hotel good, but Aircon was problematic. Stopped off for breakfast one day and a G&T and cheesecake the next. It’s functional, service at bar still slow. G&T was huge and good. Cake pleasant. Breakfasts are very good. Large choice self select buffet of hot and cold, including lactose and gluten free.

Went in very chilled out vibe very spacious they have separate area to dine form the bar which also had couches and massive tellys to show case any sport they also have afternoon tea place is overall friendly and clean recommend for families and couples!!

Went in on Saturday night for a few drinks , good staff , good G&T's and a nice atmosphere with nice music away from the chaos of concert square , will be back no doubt

Experience spoiled by a team building exercise going on in close proximity to our table, after we had specifically asked for a quiet table. A parade of staff appeared. Most of them bearing a cake, which was placed on a high table close by. About 15-20 staff members did a tasting and scoring session, which at times was quite boisterous. At the end they all disbanded. At no time did the acknowledge our existence, or explain the process. It came across as extremely rude.

Isn’t it weird. Trip Advisor will let me review the bar and restaurant ( and so room service menu ) once every month, but hotels only once every three months. Staying at novotel again. Had one room service evening meal and breakfast plus cooked breakfast in ropewalk restaurant itself.The ham hock terrine is very good. The choice of cooked breakfast is wide. Cereals, breads, cooked, cold meats, cheese, free from corner, lactose free milks. Some of the best bacon and sausage going for Hotel breakfast.Hotel not bad either. Lol

Fish and chips in a restaurant should be better than from a chippy, right? Oven chips in a restaurant? That says it all. Not good enough and overpriced. At least the staff were nice.

Had a drink waiting for my room to be prepared. Then after a meal out another drink before returning to my room. Nice location, chairs are still too low. I’m mobility impaired. Use sticks. Getting out of them is near on impossible, especially after a few drinks.

I have walked past this restaurant plenty of time and always wanted to go in. It looks really pretty from outside so finally I went in with my partner and it was very busy as it was a Saturday night. No-one came to greet us at first so after standing around we asked someone where to sit. A bubbly lady sat us down where we liked and we ordered a bottle of sweet rose wicked lady for £24. It tasted gorgeous so was worth the money and the atmosphere and lighting was on point too. The food didn't take too long to arrive and when it did the presentation was lovely and so was the staff. A male staff kept topping up our glass and having a laugh with us - not sure if he was of higher position but really made me smile and acted very professional. I ordered the lamb gigot steak which had saute potatoes and buttered peas. This was to die for, not overly buttery but just perfect and melted easily into your mouth and tasted very fresh. I would definitely come back again to explore more of the menu.

Main gripe is seating. In the bar it’s too low and the seat backs are too far back and slope at an odd angle.Bar can be busy. The restaurant table areas serve breakfast. I had burger with fries and onion rings . Burger was fine, meat good and cooked medium as I asked.I’m staying 6 nights in the Hotel. I’ve opened an account and left a deposit for room service and the like. I’m always asked to pay by cash or card. Wait staff look as if they don’t believe I could charge to room.It’s not usual for Novotel, normally leave an open card.Must be a scouse non trust thing?

Whilst staying at the nearby Novotel Hotel, I decided to dine here for both dinner and breakfast and I made an great choice. The food was really really nice. Dinner made it extra special, it's not everyday you can get a free dessert if you take a photo of the venue and you show it to a member of staff. Which made it extra special.I returned again for breakfast and again the staff made it that extra touch to make it a nice experience.I shall be returning.

First time staying over in Liverpool at the novotel and this resturant is attached so we spent a lot of time in here... a number of servers all good but on in particular stood out for me And that was Grace... she was fun to chat to and got involved with the group and I think she said she was new? But for a new starter she has really picked up the job and in my opinion she is the best server in the restaurant.

This is actually attached to the Novotel hotel, we stopped off on a Sunday afternoon after getting caught in a torrential downpour without appropriate clothing. We had a couple of pints of Guinness which were £5 a pint and were pleased to realise that there was free pool in the bar for a deposit of £10. Having a few games of pool then subsidised the drink cost so it worked out fine in the end. After a while we were joined by the rest of our group who had realised the Albert doc wasn’t worth visiting (at least on a Sunday). One of the group had a burger and chips, the burger looked good and the chips were excellent. We had a few more games of pool and then had to leave due to a function in the evening. Its a nice bar with a nice decor, it was quite empty though, probably due to the cost of drinks. There’s an angry birds digital table down the stairs which got us hooked for a bit but it was the trial version so we quickly ran out of levels, nice touch though (for the kids ;-). Overall a good lazy Sunday afternoon.

Came here whilst waiting for friends, they charged £2.80 for 2 soda water and limes!!! once sitting down to enjoy our overpriced drinks, one member of staff started hovering around our table and banging the hoover into our chairs. The place also stunk of bleach. Why they decided to do the cleaning and hovering after they opened to the public is beyond me. Defiantly wont be returning.

As it's part of a hotel we were really surprised at how nice it was. Nice and chilled. Sitting in the window watching the world go by. Recommended.

Been to this hotel bar a couple of times now. Makes for a civilised drink on Hanover st. You don't have to be staying there. Pricey but pleasant.

With so much choice around the hotel it's not obvious to choose to eat at the hotel restaurant. They allowed dogs at the bar so we decided to have a meal. The service was a little confusing as they could have really taken the order at the table. As we ended up telling it from our table to them at the bar! The meal was really good, had the burger. Went for quick bite after work. You got a taster board of starters in which the cheesy nachos were awful but the ham hock croquettes and smoked haddock scotch eggs were wonderful. There was also chicken wings which I didn't try but smelt delicious and oh ate them allFor mains oh had scouse which was plentiful in the meat and came with red cabbage and bread and butter. He pronounced it as very good indeed . I had Caesar salad with Cajun chicken. The chicken under spiced for my personal taste but I do like a lot of heat. Plenty of anchovies and Parmesan as well and nicely dressedPudding was creme brûlée tastefully served in a champagne glass and chocolate tart, slight niggle was aerosol cream (cheeky for a £5 charge) and straw berries not the advertised raspberry. I know this is petty but I like raspberries more than strawberry also proper cream was needed to cut through the richness of the choc tart.Most popular dish was the burgers flying out the open plan kitchen and they looked good with proper frysService excellent for food although bar service to the tables slow has to ask for drinks twice although the scouse bird cocktail well worth waiting for and beautifully presented.Restaurant tables cramped and chairs not best although the booths looked betterBar area itself was very contemporary and big windows and comfy chairsWould I go again ? Maybe for quick bite after shopping although the hub does it better but definitely for drinks Oh and cos this is always important cleanliness exemplary throughout including the loos

We booked here in advance for a party of 10 as it was close to our hotel and a member of our party uses a wheelchair. When we arrived we were squashed into a booth in a practically empty restaurant. When we tried to order drinks they only had two bottles of wine from a wine list of about 20. They then informed us that they were running low on food and only had 3 burgers left. We left at this point and ate elsewhere.

Complete , various, interesting, cultural, healthy, tasty, traditional, rich. These are some of the adjectives came up to my mind this morning while having breakfast at the lounge. There was anything I wanted, or I could ask for. I am the type of person that consider breakfast extremely important. Without breakfast I don't make my day start.. I just cannot. I like sweet but also salty breakfast and as a tourist I wanted to try the English traditional " scrambled eggs, bacon " etc. There was everything I expected such as sausages, smash potatoes, mushrooms till porridge, croissants, waffle, yoghurt, cereals and so on. Different type of bread and orange juice, but mostly surpring... the cappuccino was awesome, and for me that I am from Italy, the lounge scored definitely a high competitive advantage.

We did not have a nice experience at Ropewalks. The service attitude was at bottom, if we hadn't been as hungry as we were, we would have left immediately. Despite the unwelcoming and unfriendly staff, we ordered drinks and food. We came in the beginning of the lunch and not many people were there. We were 4 at our table, we ordered at the same time but paid separately. The food did not arrive at the same time and we were not able to eat together. We waited for a long time and items were also missing from one of the pasta dishes we ordered.Horrible experience overall, a shame to a lovely place like this. We will not return

Had a lovely visit to Ropewalks Food and Drink Lounge. Was quite a busy Saturday evening but we where still welcomed and served quickly. Our bartender Emilio was very friendly and smiley which really brightened our experience, he also made us some fantastic cocktails, two "Old Dock Fashioned", which where made with care and tasted delicious!! 5 stars! Thank you Emilio!!

Popped in here for a quick drink one night and it's ok. Attached to the hotel and ok to pop in for a quick drink. Didn't have food but what we saw looked OK.

A nice restaurant/bar nice selection of food very calm atmosphere I found the staff pleasant and attentive and the food is very well presented

expensive but very relaxing and good service. it is on the ground floor of the novotel. WE HAD A LARGE CHARDONNAY!!!

Nice Quiet Pint , friendly staff , £4.20 for Heineken , stayed in the hotel so it was local to me . The more busy area of concert square is about 100 yards away so this place would be a good place to start a night if staying in the hotel

Came to here to shelter from the rain with kiddies in pushchairs.Ordered cocktails and drinks which staff didn't know how to make.Lovely atmosphere and clean surroundings.

It was a raining Monday night in Liverpool but the setting at Ropewalks made for a better evening. Modern decor throughout the restaurant with different seating options to suit depending on your reason for visiting. Friendly and attentive staff. Efficient service with tasty satisfying meals freshly prepared. Good value for money. I had the sweet potato and parsnip soup for starter although the 'herby' bread was a little disappointing in size and lack of herbs but white and wholemeal mini buns baked together. Pulled pork flatbread came on a chopping board with plenty of topping with a side of tasty fries. I ended with the apple and blueberry crumble which is definately recommended.
