Friday night was absolutely buzzing. Great atmosphere

Food ok. When spending nearly £30 on bottle of wine I want to see the bottle not it served in a carafe.

Very nice, the food was delicious. Only thing I'd say is the zombie needs to live up to its name and be a blow your socks off drink, was very much still in the grave and tasted like a mocktail. Everything else was excellent

A slightly different perspective from me - my wife and her friend were a little “worse for wear” after a couple of wines… The door staff were amazing - very professional, caring and understanding. The guys are a real credit to this establishment.

Loved it, was there for an engagement party on a Saturday night so had the top part of the bar to ourselves. Was packed downstairs. Buffet Style food was fab. I am not usually one to complain about loud music but it was very loud for the fact there was no room to dance. Constant queue for the bar but that's to be expected. Will be going back!

Great little bar, cocktails were nice. Didn't eat here so not rated for that. Atmosphere is a little strange if you aren't local. And seeing as we only live 5min away we still weren't local enough ha ha

It is quite a few decades or more since I have been in the vicinity of anyone being asked to leave the premises (or thrown out). My husband was sat outside the bar on his mobility scooter and I went inside to order some food and drinks. As I picked up the menu from inside the premises I was told by a waitress (possibly the one in charge) that they were not doing food as it was Penwortham Gala day. I then said ok but I wanted coffee and was told to go to the other end of the bar. On turning to the place, I noticed that there was a table of people eating and I went and asked her if there as no food why did that table have it. Afterwards, when my daughter arrived, I asked the waitress if I could to see the manager about the food situation, two male bar staff were sent for and 'were having go at me' for bringing this up. They were very evasive and gave me the names of Jack and Daniel and the bar's phone number. Meanwhile the offensive waitress/manager had removed herself and claimed that she was calling for the police . I said that was fine and would wait for them to come to explain my situation. This made her look ridiculous and she denied that she had said there was no food outside. She demanded that I was escorted off the premises by the men. The lady pointed her finger at me and I was told that I was upsetting the children in the outside seating area. Why/how would I upset children? I admit that my voice was intended to be a little loud but at no time did I use any offensive language. I would not embarrass myself . Why could she not just have apologised and allowed me to order food. The situation was totally avoidable. The answer is she knew that what she had said/done was wrong. What a pleasant start to the day! Advice to Lime Bar - get staff who have better manners and know what they are doing. Hungry customers aged 80yrs.

Wide range of drinks, with a large cocktail menu. Great ambience inside or outside.

Visited the Lime Bar (or Slime Bar as most Penwortham residents call it) last night. Stood at the bar for ten minutes to watch two people get served. Eventually, a very rude blonde haired lady who we assumed is management, offered to serve us. She took around five minutes to pour two pints and two halves. It was obvious she didn’t have a clue. We commented on the slow service and she snapped back “it’s a cocktail bar not a pub.” If this is the case why are there five or six draught beers? Not one cocktail was being made by the way. We sat outside and asked three times for the heater to be turned on but she just ignored us and turned other people table heaters on. Last time in the Slime Bar for us. We will stick to all the other great bars in Penwortham.

Order the shared plater with chicken and squid for £24. Not worth it. Mostly filled with chips and barely any squid or fried chicken. Too salty. Order humus which was really cold and did not have any taste, I mean Aldi humus tastes better. Food not good but drinks and service was good.

Just passing looked good may go in one day

Lime bar kindly let me hire out their entire venue for my 40th party on a Sunday afternoon and I could not have been happier with everything! The bar itself is just perfect for a party or any kind of gathering! So tastefully designed and light bright and spacious. All the staff working on the day were just wonderful! Helpful in every aspect! Couldn’t sing their praises highly enough! Thank you Carol and all the team for being so obliging. I had the best day! 💖

Awful experience, there are lots of better places with more atmosphere and better drinks within a short walk.

Celebrated Mother’s Day family of 8 .. afternoon tea for two mums was delightful ..lovely soft fresh sandwiches , tasty savouries , and delicious cakes .. whilst we had Sunday lunch which was super excellent .. roast potatoes to die for .. salt and pepper chicken best we’ve had and tasty sushi .. all well presented .. food was a credit to Janis the chef who actually gave up his time to come in early to cook for us due to a slight misunderstanding on the booking & time .. also well looked after by Lee the manager and the young waiter on arrival . .. a big thankyou to the team at the lime bar for making our Mother’s Day celebrations so enjoyable .. definitely will be back :)

Very much worth your time to enjoy a cocktail ( beers-Lagers also available). A pleasant atmosphere to meet up before going for a meal.. The staff behind the bar really know their mixology for sure.. Prices are fair for the type of establishment this is.. Various styles of seating from stools to leather settee.. There really isn't much more one can add.. Just a genuinely nice place to relax, meet friends and have a lovely choice of drinks.. Definitely return when we're back in the area..

Called in for a drink and was surprised how friendly the place was.

Went in on Saturday night for a drink. Awful music extremely loud. Ordered a cocktail was the worst cosmopolitan I have ever had. What kind of cosmopolitan has froth head on. Very poor quality especially after visiting 16 on the hill previously with quality drinks.

Had a fab evening. DJ was playing just the right vibes of music. Cocktails, whilst not cheap were amazing g. Definitely among the best Espresso Martinis, daiquiris and mojitos we've sampled. Definitely be back

Visited for lunch a couple of days ago (5 of us) having had a lovely lunch there once before. Menu had changed. Lady who served us was very pleasant. Waited about 10 minutes before our order was taken for food and drinks. After nearly 40 minutes the first meal arrived followed by the other 4 one at a time with gaps between. Usually expect that you would all want to eat together. Food very nice but thought that 2 of the dishes were very over priced for what you got (steak ciabatta being one of them). Music quite loud for a lunch time. Not sure we will be rushing back. May not be everyones opinion but we are all entitled to our own views

Manager and staff are not welcoming, its all about them not their customers, will not be going again

Fantastic Sunday Dinner yesterday with my wife and received excellent service from Dan throughout - Always a top experience here and feel fortunate that such a great place is on our doorstep!

Great venue and great staff. In particular, a lovely young lady called Katelyn I believe, excellent service and professionalism from such a young star. Should be very proud of her, well done.

I Ordered Mediterranean chicken wrap chicken was raw and I ate some before realising! The guy wasn't at all apologetic when I told him what a joke 😤 won’t be returning.

Went to the lime bar for a Sunday roast. Janis' food was incredible. To start with, we had salt and pepper chicken which was perfectly spiced and refreshing. We then had a beef dinner and it was the best I've ever had from a restaurant! Can't thank Janis and the lime bar enough for such an amazing Sunday dinner!

Popped in for drinks and food but actually didnt bother in the end just had drinks felt like we were an intrusion on the bar mans /waiter/host life ! He was rude, dismissive and completely without any hospitable qualities whatsoever. Questions were asked by us regarding particular cocktails and just one word answers given in return . No smiles no thankyous no anything else I can get for you just down right rude . Sorry Lime Bar sort your staff out its hospitality after all .

Great atmosphere, drinks and service.

This place is not what it used to be. We used to love coming here for sophisticated drinks on a Saturday evening. However, our latest trip was terrible. Felt like a school disco when we walked in. The bar is now full of drugged up 18 year olds on a Saturday night. We've also never before seen a fight in a Penwortham bar until our latest trip to the Lime Bar. The clientele has changed and is now no longer a nice place for couples

Myself my mother in law and grandma in law came for lunch after dress shopping and was served by Chelcie she was attentive but not over baring, lovely bubbly personality and definitely a credit to your team so look after her!! You don't want to loose her! Even helped me decide on what to eat as I was indecisive. We had a bottle if zinfandel and 3 ciabattas the food was also delicious! Will definitely come back

Great night out, wonderful cocktails

Visited as part of a baby shower with family for afternoon tea. Disorganised staff and very slow service. Food was mediocre at best. Worst part was despite their adverts for able to do dietary requirements they were unable to offer a dairy free option so my niece didn't attend. With the amount of vegan ready stuff available in even supermarkets these days as an alternative for dairy free customers, with a staffed kitchen they couldn't rustle up a simple egg mayo, tuna mayo or plain ham sandwich (to name but a few options they had) and use mayo as an alternative to butter? Utterly lazy chefs. Disappointed.

I was wondering if Lime was worth my time and after 2 drinks I can say, yes! A small gem in the local area, Lime shines by offering something different. Could that star be brighter? Yes! But what’s there is great and the drinks are decent too

Fantastic place staff cannot do enough for you and the cocktails are amazing, great food and good value for money. Definitely recommend this place it is beautiful.

Ridiculously loud music, you want to be able to at least hear each other. Also, beers were unbelievably cold, talking ales not lagers. Might be missing the point of the place, but not an enjoyable experience as pubs go.

Visted this evening with a few friends. The Prosecco that was poured was flat and we advised the manager who pushed it back to us and said “you saw me open a new bottle mate -it’s not flat” Horrendous service. This place is going down hill badly.

Poor service , food bland and over priced. The food way over priced for what you got for example £4.88 for sour dough bread and olive oil! Missing dishes had to ask the waitress multiple times. Light on but no one home attitude. Never again.

I visited Lime Bar with a couple of friends to try out the new Fino Tapas menu. Friendly welcome and service throughout from Danny. The food was absolutely delicious. Being tapas, we all shared a variety of dishes. Stand out dishes included the pork belly, goats cheese salad and the chicken in creamy sauce. I couldn’t fault any of the dishes, so full of flavour and perfectly seasoned. We finished with coffees and shared a slice of chocolate cake which was the lightest sponge I’ve ever tasted. I enquired who made the cake and was delighted hear they use a local cake maker, The Cake Lady from nearby Hutton. Top marks, can’t wait to return.

Had afternoon tea with a party of us. Lovely environment, nice and clean etc but tables were set out as 4's but afternoon tea trays served 3's?made it a little awkward. They kept on top with empty glasses etc but seemed like they were trying to get rid of us coming to take without us really finishing them. I also got a mocktail, which seemed to curdle, told the girl collecting glasses and she said "aw ok" and taken the glass no offer of a replacement or refund! Food that was served was lovely but very very expensive, wouldn't be a place I would hurry back to.

Love the atmosphere of this place especially on a busy weekend. It’s great to see a place so full. Cocktails are great and there’s lots to choose from

Nice enough place but didn't get enough vegetables to go round and one guest had to wait for her food like they had forgotten her 🤷

We held our baby shower at this venue at the beginning of September, from start till finish carol was attentive and accommodating. We booked in advance and this was confirmed on multiple occasions to ensure that everything was still fine and well. They provided an optional afternoon tea with either tea/coffee or Prosecco which was a nice choice to have. They offered great dietary alternatives and produced Halal meat which I found was an amazing addition. When we arrived at the lime bar all the staff were pleasant and the assistant manager I assume who took care of all our needs on the day was amazing and I couldn’t recommend him enough. We set up the baby shower and they helped make sure the layout was as we wanted it by adding and taking away furniture to accommodate everyone. The music was chilled and the whole place created an excellent vibe. The whole event went smoothly and I can’t fault the staff and the host of lime bar and lounge. Any future events that we decide to hold we will have this place as first choice. Many thanks again for your efforts and your kindness on the day and we hope anyone looking to book an event has the same joy that we did from here. From Joshua and Jordan

Small place, but with outside seating. Good service, they do cocktails so you may wait a little longer if you just want a pint. Good selection of beers, wines etc.. Would recommend if you don't want the hassle of going into the city..

Eaten a Sunday lunch earlier today, I had the Chicken and my GF had the roast beef.. They come inside a very large Yorkshire Pudding with cheesy mash, carrots, red cabbage and your choice of beef or chicken with gravy inside.. Then they bring cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes with 2 small jugs of gravy.. Absolutely excellent, fully recommend..

Attended a baby shower here - I had brought my own baby and there isn't a lift upstairs, only 2 flights of stairs. Lucy one of the staff was so helpful and got my pram up with me. All the staff were lovely and helpful, but in particular Lucy just has brilliant customer service. It was a great space for an event like that. The food was excellent too.

Had a lovely lunch today at Lime bar. The team were very attentive, took our order quickly and the food arrived to the table quickly. When it arrived it was hot and tasted fantastic. The fish goujon ciabatta in particular was delicious, very filling and great value for money.

Hi everyone, I would like to convey my thanks to all the staff of the Lime Bar Lounge Penwortham. The venue is in a great location, with good access to all amenities in the area. The venue is clean and appealing to all ages. The hospitality staff are polite, hard working and friendly. The afternoon tea was delicious and the service was excellent. I shall look forward to booking this venue again.

Decent spot for Penwortham, but the owner seemed to think she was running the door at Berghain.

Penworthams poshest bar. Decorated and furnished to a very good standard. Magnificent out door area. The prices reflect the investment.

Went to chill out after doing the Christmas fare and it was just the atmosphere we wanted. Great staff and an added bonus our neighbour Rebecca Hunt was the resident singer. A great night all round

Went today for a family Sunday lunch to celebrate my daughters birthday and I’ve got to say this was one of the finest I have ever had. Reasonably priced roast with all the trimmings is a credit to their chef and we will definitely return....

Fabulous food, service and working space, soup with sandwich and unlimited brews was 11/10, highly recommend and we will be back very soon!!

Nice place, Drinks are a tad expensive, staff great, the only real criticism were the ladies toilets, only 2 and a sink with a really sharp corner to the shelf, if the toilet gets busy then you will catch your thigh on it and get a bruise

Very expensive and staff very rude

Poor service. Sat at a table (unreserved), ordered drinks for the group and sat down to relax. We were then told that they had another party who wanted the table and were asked to move. Toilets were a mess and had sick on the floor. Try hard bar. The bar did respond to my review saying that there was a reserved sign already on the table. I think if they check further back on their CCTV they would see the member of staff putting the reserved sign on after we had sat down and had two drinks. Get your facts right.
