Went to Howard's excellent general knowledge(cash prizes) quiz , 8 pm, Wednesday . For £2 you get a brilliant quiz, 5 card bingo, prize questions later (everyone 's a winner!), and supper! A merry time was had by all! Good beer , good prices ! The interior has recently been redecorated in good taste, and is much improved. Good friendly pub.

Ok pub good atmosphere and friendly

Delighted our local is serving good wholesome, reasonable priced food Saturday and Sundays up to 18.00. Tonight the fish pie was stunning, spaghetti and meat balls gorgeous. Affordable for the whole family - we were impressed. Thank you 😁

It's a good place to stay for a few hours and have a drink with your family and friends and watch ⌚ football ⚽.

One of my favourite pubs. If you like beer... This is your place. Beautiful heritage pub and they've a function room which I'm planning to use for my birthday... Best in Preston for me.

Visited with friends at the weekend for a fun night of drinks and great company, while the company was brilliant this pub is still stuck in the 1990's with its old decor, stained carpet that looks like it's never been replaced for the past 25 years and a hideous looking fireplace covered in cobwebs. It's a mixture of old and new with its old rustic wooden panelling and chipped cupboards merged in with large screen TVs and tacky bunting around the top of the bar. The odour of the pub is like a nursing home. The drinks on offer was severely disappointing. A lager man myself I only had the choice of 2 beers on draft, both which are pretty poor. No popular bottles being served either which was a great shame however I couldn't complain at the prices. Wouldn't visit again in a hurry.

a traditional pub of the good old fashioned era,,,great ales and plenty of choice always on tap with cheap prices ,,no restaurant with wild families,,,just excellent sport,,tv,,quiz night,,and live acts,, a pub where people go to socialise and enjoy themselves and not feel as if they have wandered into a bistro by mistake,,,well done landlord
