Stayed above the pub in the master suite. Room was lovely and the bed was super comfy. The hosts were lovely.

As a neighbour I find the disrespect from the publican totally abhorrent. The noise coming into my living room this evening is overpowering my TV. Have tried calling them to no avail so will be reporting to the council tomorrow. What was once a lovely peaceful Place to live is at times awful since the new publican took over.

Not a place to stay overnight unless you are in the bar enjoying yourself. Everything can be heard from the room. Very very noisy. Plus, an almost vertical metal ladder to leave by in the morning. Extremely slippy and virtually impossible with luggage.

I stayed overnight here on my way through to Scotland. I didn't eat here so cannot comment on food. The room was basic but functional. There were no towels so I had to ask and they were provided by the time I returned. However, the sink was full of used water and there was no tea or milk available. The pub is obviously popular and busy, unfortunately from my room I could hear everything that happened in the bar until about midnight including thumping music. If I wanted to leave before the pub opened at 11am I had to leave via the fire exit which involved a near vertical metal ladder. Very tricky if you have cases. On this basis I couldn't honestly say I would stay here again. I didn't feel it was value for money and that the hosts were very experienced.

Was looking for a pub in Bamber bridge that was both dog friendly, served food and had live sports. Ye olde original withy trees had everything we needed for our day out watching the FA cup final with our dog. The service was good, the food was nice, the seats were comfy enough. I would definitely come here again with my friends and my dog.

Food was amazing and the outside playground was a bonus as we had the little one with us. Definitely worth a visit and we will be returning

Ordered steak salad. Couldn't eat steak as there was sinu running through all of it and couldn't chew it. Would have choked on it. Had to ask for steak knife, wasn't just given. £3.50for lime and soda. Rip off. Told waitress over steak and she just took the plate away. Not even a sorry.

Staff were amazing...went out of their way to make you comfortable....special mention to Reece and Pirran (sorry if spelling is incorrect)....fabulous food....superb breakfast...highly recommended..

We had not been here since the relaunch so can only say we ordered from the Breakfast menu and it was lovely. Nice portions, well presented and in a timely manner. It was a great atmosphere and lovely staff. We will definitely be back.

Came today with some mates and we were blown away by the value for money and quality of food and drink! The chicken wings were amazing and the calamari was the best I've had in a long long while! The skewer came out (chicken and Chorizo) and the chorizo was very burnt. No bother! The staff member (two ladies, one was called eve) came over and immediately replaced the full meal, with no fuss at all. The service was lovely, smiles and conversation, it really makes a difference! So happy to have such a great pub on the doorstep with delicious food at a great price, with affordable drinks and happy friendly service. We will certainly be back very soon!

Our first visit but it won't be our last. Garlic mushrooms for starters, delicious and a healthy large potion, tried the all day breakfast, fresh, wholesome food, served piping hot and well presented, very good attentive service. Thank you.👍👍

Another lively pub in Bamber Bridge; also visited this one on a Saturday night. Packed with drinkers; but decent atmosphere. Lots of people watching Wolves v Aston Villa on the tv - the Birmingham derby. The beer was that new Sale de Mer unfiltered Moretti. Not bad, but couldn’t really tell the difference from normal Moretti. Other beers were available. Gaming machine in the corner. Won another £90 on Thai Princess from the three coins bonus. My second that evening. You like to see it. Machine does not have Gong Hei; Gong Hei unfortunately. What is a Withy though?

Myself and my husband stayed at the pub for one night whilst my Husband attended for a job interview in the local area. We had arrived earlier than we anticipated (2 hours) so our room wasn't ready but this was totally down to us as we had decided to get the train from Birmingham instead of Driving. Whilst my husband attended his interview I stayed at the location and had lunch, which was fantastic. I had the Cajun Chicken and Cheese baguette with skin on fries and side salad. The bread was cooked fresh and the chicken was hot and tasty, the skin on fries were to die for and the salad was mouth wateringly fresh. In the evening we again ate at the pub. My husband had the salt pepper chicken which was hot, tasty and cooked to perfection. I had the Hunters chicken which again was hot, tasty and cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were large and well worth the money. They have a good variety of Wine, Spirits and Beers on offer. The staff were very attentive, warm and welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The regular customers were also friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Master Suite which has the biggest bed I have ever seen and also very comfy. The room was clean and warm. The ensuite was also a lovely size and has a good shower. All in all this is a fantastic pub and I wished we lived nearer (we live a 4 hour drive away) as we this would be our go to pub for drinks and food.

Brilliant little place. Rooms are nice and cosy no pressure. Nice little place. I will definitely be using this place again. Staff were great and couldn't do enough for me.

Poor selection of real ale one choice only on visit

I've been coming here on Sundays for breakfast for a while and it's always been amazing, but the past 3 weeks it's been shocking, food has absolutely no taste, they have slightly made some changes with the quality of the food, you now just get 1 slice of toast, different sausages used. No longer get the biscuit with your coffee. Such a shame, as staff and pub are amazing. Time to find a new place.

I couldn't recommend this place enough. Amazing food, brilliant service, the room was clean, tidy and perfect for our night by away. If your looking at booking this place, don't hesitate just do it. Lovely spacious room. Shower plug blocked so very limited for time in shower. Very disappointed that breakfast not available even though at time of booking said it was 😩

Went here Thursday dinner time, with friends, we all had a different meal, no complaints, good service, nice meals and drinks, not the cheapest beers but all in good condition. Will go back soon. Furniture and floors lovely and clean. 😀

Went today for dinner with Santa. Absolutely made up food was amazing as always. Staff really nice and nothing was to much trouble. Santa was great my son had an amazing day. Will definitely be back.

Amanda is an amazing and will bend over backwards to deliver a good visit to this brilliant public house 👍 all the staff are amazing and accommodating to your every need 😁 the food is very good even the food you order to takeaway...yes you can order a takeaway 👍 brilliant friendly atmosphere with friendly locals 👌 children are welcome and with many organised activities throughout the year to make there visit special, the play area is awesome especially in the summer months 😁 don't drive past this pub as you will not be disappointed 😁 nip in for a cheeky drink and try there food, I guarantee you will come back for more 😉 best pub to visit in Bamber Bridge...trust me ! 👍👍 bed and breakfast is available if you are from out of town at reasonable rates whether your just passing through or working away 👍a 110% improvement from the last management 🤜 well done to you all you deserve 10 stars all day long 👍😁👍

Just been again to Ye Olde Withy Trees had Gammon chips salad pineapple. And it was excellent !. Everything cooked to perfection. I was driving so no alcohol I asked for a alcohol free beer but only offered a alcohol free Cider which tastes just like a fruit juice. So please offer a alcohol free Beer guys as some of us have to be the designated driver. I visited on the 8th of August, First time since the refurbishment. Nice surroundings and attentive staff. Update Visited again on the 28th of September and ordered fish and chips ! Will not order that meal again as the batter was wet and soggy, The batter fell off the fish in a soggy heap !. All the other meals I have ordered here have been cooked very well but the fish and chips was horrible.

I was the first to order my roast but last to recieve however it was worth the wait. I felt the girls could smiled a little while serving us. They did ask if we needed anything and if everything was OK but just needed a little smile. Will defo come again and try the breakfast next time.

Over charged for food and drink . food charged for full portion only had half portions.had a pint of soda and lime charged £3.50 they said they rang in a pint of coca cola . rubbish over charged for food and drink.will not go back again

Arrived bar and found a table. looked at the menu, decided what I wanted to eat went to the bar to order and was told it’s a festive menu only. (This menu wasn’t on the table just the standard menu) The festive menu was presented only as a 3 course menu but mains were available. When it arrived the food was delicious and enjoyable. The table staff hadn’t fully set the table, just knives were on the table. I had the as for a folk. Half the bar area wasn’t used as it looked table only. Instead of open for walk-ins I would come back on a normal night. ( non festive or entertainment night) and see what’s the standard menus like.

We were served by both Matt and at first Ebony. Food was great value, piping hot and for a pub really great quality food.. Also want to say what a lovely guy Matt was so polite and really chatty and interested in talking to us both and always checking to see if the food was ok and also if we needed anything extra. He’s a credit to the team in the pub 🙌🏼

I had a great night but I think that was more the company. The place was quiet for a Thursday night with a splattering of full tables and a few folk standing at the bar. I liked the decor and the staff tried hard to make sure we enjoyed our meal. They were very accommodating. The meal was a little too salty for me but good nonetheless.

Recommended by a friend. Never been there before but as from a nearby town we decided to venture out for my 30th birthday. The food was very nicely presented and extremely Tasty ( compliments to the chef ) also very reasonably priced . The service was superb and very friendly ( Thank you to our server Kelly 😀 ). The atmosphere was great and the locals were very welcoming 👍 Top management certainly know how to run a great venue . Will definately be returning, Thanks Ye olde original withy trees 👍🍻❤️ Also my grand parents would like to say they really enjoyed their fish and chips ( or as my grandad calls it Chips and Fish lol ) 🐟 & 🍟..... 🍟 & 🐟 lol

So good we've been two Sundays in a row. Excellent service/food. Bar service is also good served within a few minutes. Empty plates taken away within minutes of finishing both main/dessert. Waiting staff polite and friendly reasonably priced menu 👌

First time I’ve been in, came in with 2 young children for food. The food was amazing and all of the team were so friendly, our waitress Kelly was amazing and nothing was too much for her! We will 100% be returning.

My first visit here with my daughter, fantastic food and great service! We were looked after by a young lad called Fletcher, what a lovely polite young man! He seated us on a great table, checked everything was okay and that we were happy with our food and generally all round fab customer service. Fabulous food and brilliant staff. We will definitely be back!

2nd visit here both the food and service never disappoint, we where looked after by a young man called Fletcher, he got us a great table and looked after us all night, nothing was too much trouble for him, he even came over to check everything was okay with our food even though he was on his break, not many people would do that!!!

Lucas was extremely helpful and made sure everything was ok from start to finish when we visited today. He was polite and friendly.

Family Sunday lunch it was amazing and definitely a must. Staff incredibly friendly and service was spot on couldn't do enough. If you love your Sunday roast with homemade Yorkshire pudding then definitely pay a visit The menu was just enough and the food was top notch.

I came in on the Sunday and I had a fish and chips, absolutely brilliant food and for the price it was even better, service was really good the lad and lass on the front of house was attentive and ensured i had the best experience

The food was tasty and freshly cooked. My husband particularly enjoyed his chicken and chorizo. What really stands out though is the level of service. The staff cannot do enough to make your experience a positive one. A special thanks to Matt who is an absolute credit to the establishment!

Really enjoyed the food at the original withy trees. The staff were really nice too and very helpful. I had chilli con carne. It's the best I've had out, my only complaint is that I would have liked a bigger potion! It was amazing.

The pub looked nicely decorated on arrival. However I think putting TVs all around the pub with football on whilst having a nice family Sunday lunch is a mistake - it ruined the atmosphere for us and we could hardly hear ourselves talk. Maybe consider having this kind of entertainment away from the family dining area, or consider using subtitles instead of sound in these areas. We waited quite a while for our food (we had to entertain our toddler with our phones whilst we waited!). Our daughter found the lamb on the roast dinner too chewy to eat (however she is fussy, and our food was to a satisfactory standard), but what annoyed me the most was having to pay full price for our puddings (nearly £6 each) instead of the reduced rate for having two courses (which would have made the puddings another £2 ish each) as we hadn't purchased them altogether! Never before have I had to decide if I want to eat 1/2/3 courses in other establishments (nor were we told that we had to do this to receive the advertised menu deal) - what if I'd paid for two/three courses but then couldn't manage them?! (also a wait for the puddings too!). I think either charge people after they have eaten, or come up with a way to add on the discounted puddings after people have eaten their first and/or second course.

Date attended 12th August. Seated at a table near the door to the outside area and between the gents and female toilets, it was like being sat on the side of a motorway, people constantly passing through door to the outside and slamming shut. Would walk out if shown to that table again and could not be changed. Food ok apart from my order of scampi & skin on fries with peas. Small portion of scampi and no peas, forgot I should have them until to late.

We had lunch today, we ordered tuna mayo jacket potato and steak and onion baguette and we cannot fault this at all. Food was lovely and fresh, staff was very friendly and helpful.

Ok, so, the food is almost there. Few tweaks needed. Steaks not cooked to order, stuff missing from plates. But, the young staff were excellent at trying to keep everyone happy. The young lady who had no idea what any of the starters were, was my particular favourite. She had no idea what serviettes were either. She was excellent!! Hopefully, they iron a few things out, but none of the mistakes made it any less enjoyable. Happily go back. Will NOT be having that hot sauce on anything ever again. 7/10.

I would highly recommend for food & atmosphere. Nothing beats service with a smile. All staff was lovely and helped if and when we needed it. Definitely be going back with the kids they loved the play area something not many pubs in bamber bridge have.

Took the family for Sunday dinner and the roasts were fantastic, the kiddies menu has steak and gammon available which is a great option i thought. Also the chicken burger my son had was quite honestly the best chicken he and myself have ever tried was blown away, service was amazing the guys really make you feel welcome and can't wait to sample more of the menu 👍

Glad to see this place open again , we brought our 3 grandchildren for tea , the food was good although be prepared the kids meals are HUGE. The staff were brilliant and very attentive. The manager Amanda had everything under control even though it was extremely busy , which is understandable as everyone wants to try the new Old Orig .

My wife and I were looking forward to our visit for a nice meal. As we entered, the pub was very busy and quite noisy. We were taken to our reserved table and informed we had to go to the bar to order food, as it was busy this took a while. We then noticed a dog on the seating area at the table behind us, this surprising as it is stated that dogs are not allowed in the dining area. Our food arrived in reasonable time and looked appetising, my steak was perfectly cooked and thoroughly enjoyable. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about my wife's hot pot who declared it the most tasteless hotpot she's ever had. There was plenty of lamb in the dish but we think not cooked in a pot with herbs, etc but sliced off a pre-cooked leg and chopped into pieces which made it quite dry. A gravy boat on the side was hopefully a redeeming extra but was, surprisingly, mint sauce, also the vegetables were cold. Just before we finished our food a person on the next table started vaping which was not very pleasant. My wife commented to the staff about the veg and was offered a complimentary desert to compensate, but we kindly declined. We were going to stay on for an after dinner drink, but at 9-00pm the tables were cleared as service had finished and opened to anyone, they were immediately filled by very very loud talking customers, so we finished our wine and left. All in all not a very nice ambiance for an evening meal which was really disappointing. We may call again just for a drink but, sorry, a visit again for dinner is not for us.

booked online for a party of 6 for a meal, arrived and was promptly seated, was our first visit since the refurbishment and was a lovely experience. The food was tasty, great atmosphere and reasonably priced. Kids play area is fab will be returning again soon
